The Return to Hogwarts

Magic is not necessarily about conflict. In today's magical world, magic is more about making life easier for wizards. However, Amosta firmly believes that elite armed forces are necessary to maintain peace and stability in the magical world and should never be abandoned in any era.
The first proper physical education class in two months ended with the young wizards' reluctant murmurs. Amostella waved his wand, neatly stacking the desks against the wall, gave the waiting wizards a gentle smile, and finally, his gaze fell on Draco.
"Draco, come with me."
The existence of physical education classes and the personal improvement he felt made the laziness and the confusion caused by having too much in this young master from a prestigious family become less and less obvious, and some of the shining points in his personality were exposed.
Although curious, Draco didn't ask what it was all about as he followed Professor Blaine.
"go in--"
Arriving at the student safety office on the third floor, Amosta raised his chin and smiled at the bewildered Draco.
"Professor Snape is inside, and oh, your father is waiting for you too."

After entering Professor Blaine's office, the door behind him clicked shut. Draco was surprised that Professor Blaine hadn't come in himself, but after glancing at his father's icy expression, he felt a chill run down his spine, realizing that his father probably didn't want Professor Blaine to be present and overhear their conversation.
The fireplace in the office was off, but a simple chandelier on Professor Blaine's desk emitted a bright flame.
Before greeting his father, Draco glanced around Professor Blaine's office, which he hadn't visited in a while, and found that the room was still as simple and elegant as ever, except for an old standing cabinet next to the sofa.
Draco had heard of this locker.
Since Hermione Granger was attacked by the curse, the school has been conducting routine checks on mail entering and leaving the school. Whether it is mail belonging to junior wizards or faculty members, any contraband related to dark magic that may cause injury to students is confiscated.
Professor Blaine was in charge of guarding these confiscated items, and he himself had a few things in this cabinet.
"Father--"
The idea of getting the contraband back from Professor Blaine was laughable. Draco composed himself and walked toward his father and Professor Snape, who were standing in front of the lockers observing.
"What brings you here so suddenly? Oh, what's this!"
Draco, who had just walked over, was asking his father why he had come to the school so quietly. His gaze swept over the display space at the top of the lockers, and Draco's light gray pupils widened in shock. He forgot his question, his eyes glued to an item behind the glass, unable to look away, muttering in astonishment.
"This is...that dark witch's...but isn't this thing in the hands of the Ministry of Magic?"
"Vetia Creona's wand. The one the Ministry of Magic has is fake."
Snape looked at Draco lazily, and his casual words astonished Draco.
“Perhaps it should be called a staff. Amosta left it here as trophy, but I don’t think that’s a wise decision.”
"Judging from what has happened in the past, Severus, your student is particularly fond of showing off, so it's not hard to understand his behavior."
After displaying just the right amount of contempt and disgust for Amosta Blaine, Lucius Malfoy looked away from the staff and scrutinized his son. With his usual sharp gaze, he made Draco lower his head, and guilt and sadness welled up in Lucius Malfoy's gray eyes, but he quickly suppressed the excess emotion.
Pointing to a package on the coffee table, Lucius's tone was cold and hard.
“Your mother and I went to Dijon a while ago. Your mother bought some local specialty cakes and candies, and she asked me to bring them to you.”
Draco blinked, looking confused.
"Just some candy. You brought it to me personally?"
"This is not a question for you to ask, Draco—"
Lucius glared sternly at his son.
"Take this back to your dorm. Remember to focus your energy on your studies. I heard from Severus that the only time you can match Granger's grades is in PE. I hope you can feel the humiliation I felt when I heard that—a noble descendant of the Malfoy family being crushed by a mudblood."
At some point, the word 'Mudblood' no longer sounded so 'pleasant' to Draco's ears. He shrugged and glanced guiltily at the office door.
Go then-
Lucius, suppressing his surging emotions, said coldly,
"Don't forget to write to your mother and tell her how much you enjoyed the snacks she carefully selected for you."
"Understood, father."
Draco muttered under his breath as he picked up the heavy snacks from the coffee table, which he had to hold in his arms.
Amostella was admiring the moonlight from an archway in the corridor when he saw Draco struggling to carry the snacks towards him, and he smiled slightly.
"Your mom and dad love you very much, Draco. That's so enviable."
"Oh--"
After hesitating for a while, Draco nodded, somewhat unaccustomed to such a straightforward description. Professor Blaine didn't say much; he simply smiled, patted himself on the shoulder, and walked towards the open office door.
"Professor Blaine?"
Draco suddenly called out nervously, glancing anxiously at Professor Blaine, who was turning back with a questioning look in his eyes. Draco's eyes flickered.
"Nothing happened, right?"
Amosta raised an eyebrow in surprise, then smiled calmly. "Of course."
After saying this, Amosta went into his office.
The somber atmosphere suppressed the light emitted by the candlesticks; the brightness was gone, and the office was much dimmer than before.
Amosta strode to the sofa and sat down, interlacing her fingers on her knees, calmly looking at Lucius Malfoy, who was no longer so composed.
"Please sit down."
The simple word put Lucius at ease; his loyalty was clearly worthwhile. At least, the last time he came to this office, Blaine hadn't saved him a seat.
Severus had no intention of joining the conversation. After giving Amostella a deep look, he took out his wand, lit the fireplace, and left using the school's Floo Network.
"You just told me that Voldemort found out from Nott that I went into Salazar Slytherin's vault?"
The name Blaine mentioned sent a shiver down Lucius's spine. He took a few breaths, lowered his head, and said...
“That’s right, Mr. Blaine. Before Nott brought this accurate news, the Dark Lord was very nervous about the news that you had opened an ancient family vault. But strangely, he seemed more relaxed after he found out. But I can’t believe it; he thought that if Gringotts had a Slytherin vault, then he should know about it.”
He was very curious about what you had obtained, so I was sent here to find Severus and inquire. He asked me to use my trip to the Malfoy vault as an opportunity to create a chance for him to enter the Gringotts underground.
Amostella closed his eyes in deep thought, the flickering light etching a majestic aura on his young face that Lucius feared.
Did you go with him deep underground?
"No--"
Lucius shook his head.
"After opening the Malfoy family's vault, he cast an Imperius on the goblin and then left. I don't know where he went, but when he returned, he asked me to find Severus as soon as possible to get to the bottom of this."
“I will give Severus a reasonable explanation.”
Amosta calmly looked at Lucius Malfoy.
Is there anything else I need to know?
Lucius hesitated. His most recent direct mission was to go to Dijon to recruit the giants into the Dark Lord's team, but he didn't need to bring it up again, because Blaine certainly knew they had already encountered Hagrid, that big idiot, in the mountains of Dijon.
There's something—
Hesitantly, Lucius said,
"The Dark Lord seems to be planning something on the day of the Third Triwizard Tournament at Hogwarts. When he learned that you were going to be preparing for the Triwizard Tournament, he sent Old Nott to inform McNeil and Avery, ordering them to speed up the mission."
"--McNeil, Executive Officer of the Committee on the Disposal of Dangerous Animals."
Amosta murmured.
"What mission?"
"I have no idea,"
Lucius said somewhat nervously,
"The tasks assigned to each team by the Dark Lord are kept secret. We are not allowed to communicate with each other. Only he knows everything."
"Heh, so he's not completely stupid after all—"
Amosta smiled and then asked,
"So, what are your guesses about McNeil and Avery's mission?"
"It must be related to the Ministry of Magic, otherwise, the Dark Lord wouldn't have chosen two Death Eaters who work at the Ministry to carry out the mission."
Lucius pursed his thin lips and said softly,
"Perhaps. Based on the Dark Lord's recent actions—and you certainly know he's eager to expand his power—I suspect he might be planning an attack on Azkaban."
Chapter 984 Self-Destruction
2024-06-19
After stating his guess, Lucius cautiously observed Amosta Blaine's expression.
The reason why the Dark Lord attacked Azkaban is obvious to anyone who isn't an incurable idiot: basically, his most loyal and elite Death Eaters were imprisoned in that jail!
If the Dark Lord successfully finds a way to Azkaban and frees the most evil Death Eaters, the impact will be far-reaching.
Needless to say, the Ministry of Magic will lose face, the British wizarding world will be thrown into turmoil, and it could even be said that this is tantamount to the Dark Lord announcing his return to the world and sounding the charge.
In my previous expectations, Amosta Blaine would have been furious, or at least nervous, upon hearing this news.
