The Return to Hogwarts

“Oh, never mind her, Amosta—” Mr. Dett waved his hand and said with a smile, “Let’s continue our conversation!”
Amelia bit her lip and looked at her mother with a hint of grievance, but her mother didn't even glance at her and instead enthusiastically joined in on the new topic.
The cheerful atmosphere relieved Amosta. After all, if the Detts had shown any intention of 'recognizing each other as relatives' at the dinner, it would have put him in a difficult position. He had even planned before coming that if such a sign appeared, he might use magic to intervene.
Let's take a picture!
The delightful meal continued until nine o'clock in the evening, when Mr. Dett had to stop after finishing his stock. Before Amosta could say goodbye, he jogged from the living room to get the camera he had prepared beforehand, while Mrs. Dett pulled the bewildered Amelia into the living room.
But they encountered a problem: there was no one else there to take their picture.
“If you don’t mind, Amelia, I think you can help us.”
After a moment's hesitation, Mr. Dett, already bleary-eyed from drunkenness, handed the camera to Amelia, who had been silent all night.
"Oh, no need for that—"
Catching a glimpse of the overwhelming grievance in Amelia's brown eyes, Amosta quickly said,
"This is no problem; a little magic can solve it."
So the four of them took about a dozen photos in every possible spot in the house before the enthusiastic Detts finally stopped.
A full moon shone brightly across the sky, while wisps of ethereal smoke, illuminated by the moonlight, took on an ominous crimson hue.
Mrs. Dutter glanced out the back window of the living room and exclaimed in surprise as if she had just noticed.
"Oh my goodness, it's so late!"
Then, without waiting for Amosta to say goodbye, she dashed into their downstairs bedroom. Then, under Amosta's indescribable gaze, she emerged carrying a clean, brand-new set of pajamas, and without a word, shoved it into Amosta's arms, smiling lovingly.
"I've already prepared the guest room upstairs, darling. It has a full set of toiletries. You should get some rest. I'll prepare breakfast for you tomorrow morning!"
After saying that, she immediately helped her husband, who was already drunk and staggering, into her wizard's house, leaving Amosta and Amelia standing awkwardly by the stairs, looking at each other.
The darkness before dawn shrouded the earth, and human activity was suppressed to its lowest level by the laws of nature. Inside the Magical Congress Building in the United States, which never sleeps, only the occasional wizard with a listless expression rides the elevator up and down the stairs.
The dim light shone on the cluttered shelves, and a wizard with light blond hair was sleeping soundly, snoring loudly, lying on the messy desk.
Suddenly, a chilly breeze swept in, disturbing Chago's sweet dream.
He unconsciously twisted his neck, which made the damage to his neck and shoulders caused by prolonged incorrect sleeping posture more apparent. The unbearable soreness further pulled Chago back to reality. He made an indistinct sound and relaxed his furrowed brow.
A dark shadow emerged from the shadow cast by the desk on the floor, obscuring the candlelight that shone on Chago's face.
The sudden darkness hastened Chago's awakening. He blinked his eyelids with difficulty, and his hands, which were supporting his cheeks, gradually exerted force. After about two minutes of supporting his body, he finally sat up and leaned back in the soft chair.
"You are?!"
The moment his vision cleared, Chago jumped up in shock, but the silver light flashing in the dim space cut off his question, leaving him with no chance to ask it again.

The Deuters had already left. Amosta stood at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor, holding the brand-new set of pajamas that Mrs. Deuter had just given him, while Amelia remained silent beside him.
Amostah could tell that Amelia's gaze held a hint of inquiry, which wasn't surprising. The Detts' overly enthusiastic behavior had finally aroused Amelia's suspicion, but he believed that Amelia probably hadn't guessed the truth of the matter.
This isn't something that can be figured out just with a clever mind and a brilliant imagination; sure enough—
My mom and dad like you very much--
Amelia wanted to ease the awkwardness and find a suitable excuse for her parents' abrupt and rude behavior.
"Well, I think it's because you're a wizard from London, and they've spent most of their lives in that city. Your name also makes them feel at home."
"That makes sense."
Amosta nodded, and after thinking for a moment,
"Then, would you please take me to the guest room?"
Amelia looked somewhat surprised, seemingly not expecting Amosta to actually agree to let her stay overnight, but quickly realized what was happening and nodded awkwardly.
"Oh, yes, of course."
The two people went down the stairs to the second-floor corridor. The two bedrooms were on the side of the same row closest to the road, while the two rooms opposite were the washroom and laundry room.
Amelia turned on the hallway lights and pointed to the bedroom at the end of the hallway.
"That's the guest room, and also, if you need a shower—"
Amelia turned around and pointed to the dark room behind her, with the door half-open.
"There's a bathtub here—you can use it."
Amosta, trying not to make the atmosphere any more awkward, nodded stiffly again and said calmly,
"Thank you. Is there anything else I should be aware of?"
"No. Oh!"
Amelia suddenly exclaimed. Without explaining, she slipped into the dark bathroom and slammed the door shut. Shortly after, there was a rustling sound coming from inside, followed by a loud bang—it sounded like a cabinet door closing. When Amelia reappeared, her face, which had been trying so hard to remain calm, was completely red.
"Yes, it's hot—the water heater, it. Um, that—I fixed it, it wasn't working very well. I thought—you, you'd use it, Mr. Blaine, since you're from a Muggle orphanage. Oh, sorry, I'm not. I—"
"Of course, I can handle Muggle's technology."
Amosta's voice remained calm and undisturbed until Amelia, who had practically fled, disappeared into her bedroom and vanished from his sight. Only then did Amosta shake his head with a slight smile.
Instead of taking a shower, he took his pajamas and went to the guest room first.
Turning on the light switch reveals a small room painted sky blue. The room is simply furnished, with only a bed and a wardrobe, and a few shelves built on the interior walls for storing miscellaneous items and books.
Amosta walked to the bedside, bent down and stroked the bedding. The soft bedding exuded a sun-kissed scent, clearly indicating that the Detts had aired it out beforehand.
There were several magic books on the bedside table, which should belong to Amelia. They were probably placed there by the Detts to relieve his boredom.
However, the Dutters didn't know much about magic. The first book they found was a dry history of magic in the American magical world. Nevertheless, the cover of this history book, showing the former address of the Magical Congress of the United States of America, a huge building located in the Appalachian Mountains, still made Amosta's gaze linger.
Amosta and Amelia didn't see each other again until they went to bed. But Amosta knew that when he entered the bathroom, Amelia was hiding behind her bedroom door, eavesdropping. After he closed the bathroom door, she hurriedly came out of her bedroom and took careful steps to the Detts' bathroom downstairs.
After Amosta came out of the bathroom, Amelia had already returned to her bedroom.
Amosta glanced at the closed door and smiled silently. He knew his elder was destined to have a sleepless night.
Unlike Amelia, Amosta, lying in bed, felt a rare sense of comfort and peace since arriving in New York. After relaxing, fatigue followed.
A refreshing breeze gently pushed open the half-closed window, and the fluttering curtains created a rhythmic rustling melody.
Against the deep blue night sky, the full moon peeked out from behind the gaps in the curtains that opened and closed intermittently. Cars occasionally drove by on the main road two streets away, and their faint whistling, weakened by the distance, did not disturb the tranquility but instead made the night even more peaceful and lingering.
Everything was so comfortable that Amosta even felt like he had become an ordinary person again, without having to think so much, without any heavy burden on his shoulders.
It's nice to be like this sometimes.
Before his consciousness completely shut down, the thought flashed through Amosta's mind, and then he fell into a deep sleep.
But just as Amosta had predicted, Amelia was not as calm and composed as he had been.
The room was already dim. Amelia wrapped herself tightly in the blanket, but her toes, hidden under the covers, remained curled up.
Her pretty face was covered by the blankets from the nose down, with only her eyes and forehead exposed.
Amelia's gaze drifted through the room, filled with a hazy, faint moonlight, as she tried to avoid thinking about Amosta Blaine sleeping on the other side of the wall.
Amelia couldn't describe the feeling she had at that moment—it seemed like a sense of shame, but mixed with a hint of curiosity and an excitement that she herself couldn't understand.
Why do Mom and Dad favor Amosta Blaine so much?
Inevitably, Amelia began to think about these issues again.
In order to protect her parents' overly enthusiastic behavior, she had reluctantly given Amosta some reasons, which she did believe were reasonable, but they did not fully explain it.
Or perhaps your parents think Amostra Blaine is a very famous figure in the wizarding world?
Their enthusiasm for him might stem from a hope that he could mentor them. This wasn't impossible, after all, his mother had always felt apologetic for not being able to offer her more help.
But this reason, like the two she had given Amosta before, was merely her guess.
Or perhaps...
Having run out of plausible explanations, Amelia unconsciously recalled the night of the succubus incident, the strange way Amostella received her wand, the warmth emanating from it carrying a hint of joy, as if she had encountered a long-lost relative.
Questions without answers are always the most torturous.
This confusion tormented Amelia's nerves; she tossed and turned in bed, unable to truly fall asleep, all night long, until dawn broke, in the deepest darkness before daybreak—
boom--
A clear sound suddenly came from the living room below the floor.
Amelia, still somewhat dazed, didn't pay attention. She assumed her father, getting up to use the bathroom, had bumped into something, but—
Bang, bang, bang
After dozens of similar sounds, Amelia, who had been sitting up in shock, finally came to her senses and realized that something was wrong.
"Mom and Dad!"
Amelia screamed and, still in her pajamas, Apparated downstairs. When she saw what was happening in the living room, Amelia turned pale and swayed uncontrollably.
It was Auror from the Security Department, her colleague. Judging from the density of people in the not-so-spacious living room, at least half of the Security Department was there, and more. The green flames in the fireplace were still flickering, and she saw some people roughly open the doors and rush outside, as if they were going to impose a curfew around the house.
Mr. and Mrs. Dett had already been startled by the commotion. The elderly couple, leaning against the bedroom doorframe, looked on in panic at the group of magicians who had 'occupied' their home, not knowing what to do.
