The Return to Hogwarts

The conflict with Severus was a recurring theme throughout his student life with Sirius, James, and Peter, and in retrospect, they did make some mistakes back then.
But the past is gone, James, Lily, and Peter are no longer alive, and it's pointless to dwell on the rights and wrongs of the past. What's more important is to seize the present.
Voldemort has returned to the wizarding world. Remus knows that Severus, under Albus's orders, has returned to Voldemort's side to carry out a dangerous undercover mission, and that he and Sirius will also be firmly committed to the war against Voldemort. They should put aside their past grievances and work together for the common goal of 'victory'.
However, Sirius and Severus...
Remus shook his head and smiled bitterly to himself. To get them to change their minds and work together—why did that sound even more fantastical than getting Voldemort to repent for his sins?
boom!
A small park not far from the Brooklyn Bridge, which connects Manhattan and Brooklyn, on the East River waterfront in Manhattan.
As night deepened, all was quiet.
Only some snakes, insects, and rodents that are used to the darkness come out to move around under the moonlight. Even some homeless people who love to commit lewd and despicable crimes at night lie on the park benches wrapped in tattered blankets and fall into a deep sleep.
The sudden roar startled the small animals in the park, who scattered in panic. However, a barely visible, misty black veil descended from the sky just in time, enveloping the park and blocking out the intense explosion.
The black veil blocked out all light, preventing the bright moonlight and the still-shining neon lights on the opposite bank from penetrating. The park was like a dark, desolate place, with only the occasional crimson, ribbon-like spell lights flashing in the air illuminating the ashen faces.
"I've already told you, none of this has anything to do with me!"
After a short, gruff explosion, a painful groan echoed through the dense forest, followed by a man's furious shout in broken English.
"That beast woke up suddenly; I had no idea!"
The crimson ribbon reflected a pair of sinister red eyes, followed by a cold voice.
"It's alright now."
"Then let me leave!"
The man roared in despair.
“I haven’t taken a single penny from you, have I? Now I just need to find a way to get out of here, but the security department anticipated this, and they’ve blocked every smuggling route I know of.”
"Oh, leaving?"
The sorcerer with sinister eyes made a mocking sound.
"How dare you have such a naive idea? You know some things about us, don't you? I think the safest way to keep a secret is... to kill you!"

Chapter 908 Newt's Request
2024-05-09
Squeak, squeak, squeak--
As the sharp teeth meshed together, ghastly white bone fragments mixed with scarlet blood trickled from the menacing short snout, dripping down the slender neck onto the pearly, colorful scales on the chest cavity, filling the air with a nauseating stench of blood.
As the fresh and delicious food continued to be consumed, the murderous desire that permeated the pupilless, pure white eyes of the feast-go-lucky diners gradually faded, becoming calm and gentle.
The wings, which were fifty feet long and covered by white fascia, slowly folded back and retracted to the sides of the back, which had a row of thin white barbs.

The enormous fire dragon's claws embedded themselves in the pyramidal mountain, crushing rocks into dust that fell like rain, quickly burying the traces of the recent carnage.
The Australian white-eyed bird arrived atop the rocky peak, stretching its neck and letting out a long, deep cry, much like a seagull. After a hearty meal, it slowly lay down, coiling its thick, long tail around its body. After spitting out a few bursts of bright red flames from its short snout, it finally drifted off to sleep.
Meanwhile, a group of magical creature experts hidden behind a magical barrier nearby clapped and cheered at the sight.
This Australian white-eyed dragon was brought to the Magical Creatures Refuge in New York from the Australian Dragon Nature Reserve before Christmas last year, with the approval of the Magical Congress. Its arrival fills the gap of having no wild dragons in the United States, provides research material for a group of magical animal conservation experts, and the public can also visit it by appointment. It can be said that it is of great significance.
"Remember what I said—"
As the group of magical creature experts calmed their joy and their reverent gazes fell upon the elderly wizard behind them, the latter, despite being adored with such admiration, showed no signs of joy or pride.
With a hint of pity, Newt glanced at the snoring Australian eggshell eyes, sighed, and then looked at the grove of trees beside him, covered in lush vines and bushes.
"Hobby, Millie, Moller!"
An aged voice echoed through the traditional, verdant forest. Soon, a rustling sound came from the damp woods, and three streaks of lightning of different colors shot out from the forest. Before the staff and experts of the New York Fantastic Beasts Nature Reserve could react, the three cat-like creatures were already in position.
"Oh no, Hobby!"
Newt swiftly inserted two fingers into Hobby's mouth, fiddled around for a bit, and laboriously pulled out a plump, seemingly newborn Motra mouse. The cub was terrified, curled up in Newt's palm, trembling uncontrollably. It tried to dig a hole and bury itself, so it kept scratching at Newt's palm with its two protruding white baby teeth.
"Oh, don't be afraid, little one--"
Newt, holding the newborn Motra mouse by its tail, handed it to the staff there.
"Please return it to its mother and apologize to her for me."
Newt said that he then pulled Hobby off his head, who was angrily slapping his head with his paws after his food was taken away.
"Calm down, Hobby, that's not your food."
Meow!
"You need compensation?"
Newt twitched his beard helplessly.
"Alright, let's do it this way. How about a bowl of ferret meat?"
Meow! !
"Two pots?"
Newt frowned, but then Millie and Moller started wriggling on his shoulder, and to calm things down as quickly as possible, Newt had no choice but to raise his hands in surrender.
"Oh, okay, deal. You're taking advantage of our situation by giving us two pots each. Come on, we need to hurry back. Tina said it's very impolite to leave guests at home."
The so-called home is actually a wooden cabin located on the border of the forest and the grassland within the Magical Creatures Sanctuary created by the Magical Creatures Council in Central Park.
Amosta wasn't the only one who suffered unfair treatment; Newt, who had personally caused trouble in the city, was also subject to some degree of restraint.
Since Newt claimed to be there for the missing, high-danger magical creatures, the Department of Security found him a place to stay in the nature reserve. However, unlike Amosta, this arrangement was exactly what Newt wanted.
A few lazy clouds drifted lazily across the high sky, the grassland was a clear, green expanse, and two adult purplish-gray horned camels were strolling on the gently sloping, undulating grassland. Amosta sat by a stone trough set up for magical creatures in front of the cabin, enthusiastically teasing a ball-escape bird.
This fluffy ball-egg bird clearly didn't want to be played with.
It flapped its short, flightless wings rapidly, constantly using its teleportation ability to disappear from its original space, hoping to get as far away from this wicked wizard as possible.
But for some reason, the Ball Bird seemed confused. It kept shifting its shape, but it couldn't seem to leave those pale purple eyes. The area covered by that intense gaze kept disappearing and reappearing in front of Amosta. Each time it reappeared, it was greeted by a hand with long, slender fingers kneading it.
Chirp, chirp, chirp!
Tears of despair welled up in the small, greyish-brown eyes of the Ball Decoy, as if it felt its death was imminent.
"Please don't do that, Amosta—"
Watching Amostella Blaine having so much fun, Newt, who had rushed out of the rainforest, twitched his tightly pressed lips several times.
"If a ball-escape bird is scared, it may completely lose its way while moving. I once saw a ball-escape bird panic and run into the ground to its death while trying to escape predation."
Chirp!
The ball bird, caught in a grasp, let out a heart-wrenching cry.
"Oh, scared?"
Amosta flicked the beak of the Ball Bird with his finger and said gently.
"We had a lot of fun, didn't we?"
Amosta smiled, opened his palm, and withdrew the magic that sealed the space, causing the ball-escape bird to flee in panic.
Amosta clapped his hands, stood up from the edge of the sink, and smiled as he walked toward Newt.
"So, Newt, is the problem solved?"
Newt sighed inwardly. He didn't know why Hobby thought Amostrath Blaine was a friendly and kind wizard. Based on their only two encounters, Amostrath Blaine's attitude towards magical creatures was very similar to that of ordinary wizards. No, perhaps even worse.
"I have to say--"
Newt pushed Hobby away, who was urging him to eat the ferret meat, and said in a slightly annoyed tone,
"The macabre experts here are probably the most incompetent I've ever met. They insisted on feeding Australian Protein Eye a dead goat and told me it was to tame the wild Australian Protein Eye. If they had just read my book, they wouldn't have made that mistake."
They kept me away from it, using the guise of protection. They'd already lost several level 5X creatures, and they couldn't afford to let this one with the white eye go astray again. But they themselves had let the poor little thing become ferocious from hunger.
The two walked into the house side by side. Newt was urged by the three cats to keep his promise, while Amosta went to the stove, picked up the kettle, and replaced the two cups of cold tea on the wooden table.
"Oh, sorry!"
Before Newt returned, Amosta quickly tossed a Bowtruckle that he had accidentally stepped on and knocked unconscious out the window, and frowned as he looked at a group of Billy Wiggles hovering on the ceiling. These buzzing little guys were quite annoying, but thankfully Newt's timely return saved their lives.
"Do you need to rest for a while, Newt?"
Looking at Newt's aged and slightly tired face, Amosta asked with concern.
"Oh no—"
Newt shook his head.
"Let's continue with what we were just saying. As I mentioned before, Grevis seized the venomous leopard and put it in a high-security prison that was originally intended for criminals. I can't imagine how scared it must have been there."
But Grevis wouldn't let me take care of it, not even when I offered to go to jail myself.
I can only seek help from some well-known wizards. I wrote to Albus and some wizards I know who are involved in the international magical community in the protection of magical creatures, asking them to pressure Grevis to stop his unjust treatment of the succubus. Amosta, may I ask you to write a similar letter for me?
