The Return to Hogwarts

Amosta pursed his lips.
"I think it's probably not."
Under the clenched gazes of Remus and Amelia, Amosta reached out and touched the cat's soft gray neck, stroking it a few times before pulling out a brass plaque.
"Hobby--"
Amosta smiled as she looked at the gray cat.
"That's your name, isn't it?"
Meow--
The gray cat, which was licking its paws, heard the question and meowed lazily. Then, it turned around on Amosta's shoulder and looked at the painted wall in the alley.
"I think it likes me."
Amosta said
"Maybe it's because my hair color is similar to its fur color."
Amelia resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She felt Amosta Blaine's towering image crumbling in her mind. It was hard to imagine that Amosta, who had saved 100,000 people like a god at the Quidditch World Cup, could be so unreliable.
Remus was already used to it. He stared intently at the gray cat, which was even fatter than Hermione's Crookshanks but exceptionally agile. Suddenly, a look of horror crossed his face.
"Amosta?"
Remus's tone was serious.
"Do you think this cat-like creature could be an Animagus?"
Meow!
Before Amosta could speak, the cat-raccoon named Hobbie grew impatient. It pawed at Amosta's cheek, forcing him to face the painted wall, and meowed repeatedly, urging Amosta to go inside quickly.
"see that?"
Amosta said with a smile,
"I don't believe there are any Animaguss that arrogant."
Remus finally felt relieved. He knew that although Amostella could be 'unruly' at times, he wasn't a stupid person and wouldn't let his guard down. So, he put his wand away and followed Amostella into the alley.
Amelia was clearly trying to remind them that since the cat-like creature already had an owner, what they should do was go back to Congress, check with the Department of Magical Creatures to find out who its owner was, and then return it, instead of taking it to a place that wasn't exactly reputable.
Getting into the Blind Pig Bar wasn't as complicated as Amelia had imagined. Amosta simply walked up and knocked on the wall, and then a small window suddenly opened, revealing a pair of sinister eyes. He glanced at them, asked nothing, and then pulled back the wall disguised as red brick.
Before entering, Amosta seemed to remember something, and he turned to look at Amelia, who was showing signs of resistance.
"Never been to a place like this before?"
Amelia pursed her lips and honestly shook her head.
"Then let me give you a piece of advice--"
Amosta said in a light voice.
"Don't be surprised by anything you see."
The waiter who opened the door for them looked very young, with a slightly pointed chin and ashen white skin. He heard the conversation but ignored it, instead staring with interest at Hobby perched on Amosta's shoulder with his sinister red eyes.
“I can be sure of—”
Remus followed Amosta into the bar, while Amelia lingered outside. After the waiter returned to the bar to attend to his work, he whispered in Amosta's ear...
"This waiter is a vampire."
But it wasn't a big deal, after Remus saw what kind of customers were in the bar.
This bar was smaller than the famous Leaky Cauldron, but much worse. The dimly lit bar was filled with swirling smoke that smelled like damp, stinky socks burning on a fireplace, the smoke coming from the pipes of the wizards sitting at the tables.
Behind the bar, an old-looking but still quite agile house-elf was serving drinks to customers, while the vampire waiter who opened the door was responsible for serving drinks. He wasn't the only vampire in the bar; to the left of the entrance, by the window, were two guys in trench coats who also had obvious vampire features.
A succubus wearing a sexy halter dress covered in shimmering sequins danced on a round table, her graceful movements and alluring gaze leaving Remus in awe.
"I've never seen a fairy like this before. I thought they only knew how to..."
Remus, who had dealt with fairies quite a bit, found himself unable to find a single word to describe this female fairy.
"You've seen a lot of things, kid!" A scruffy wizard bumped into Remus as he reached for a drink at the bar, and slurred drunkenly, "Get out of the way!"
Remus found himself becoming somewhat uncomfortable with the style of the underground wizarding world. He suppressed his displeasure and made way for the man.
"In my opinion, it should be a hybrid of a fairy and a wizard."
Amosta also glanced at the succubus with great interest and gave his own judgment.
boom!
The heavy thud on the table drew the attention of the three men. They looked in the direction of the sound and immediately recognized Remus.
Facing the wall, beneath an oil painting depicting piles of Galleons, several rough-looking men were playing cards. One of them was cursing as he pulled Galleons and Sickles from his pocket, apparently having lost money.
Werewolves, and most likely native werewolves!
Remus doesn't need much to distinguish his own kind.
In Britain, the original werewolves were mostly Greyback's minions, and now they have all become the ghosts of Amostra. But before that, Remus had rarely seen werewolves swaggering in public, and even in the underworld, they rarely lingered.
Werewolves, vampires, house-elves, fairies, and wizards
Oh, and the most astonishing thing was the half-human giant who had taken over a private room all by himself around the corner.
Unlike Hagrid, who has a more human-like appearance, the giant that is nearly seven or eight feet tall even when sitting down and would surely pierce the roof when standing up has a more pure-blooded giant appearance.
With so many species living together in one room without a war, even Remus felt a sense of awe for the bar's owner.
Chapter 891 Narak
2024-04-30
Amelia was quite certain that three tables away from her, two wizards were meeting, and one of them was taking a horn from a venomous horn onto the table. This was a Class B contraband item, rare and dangerous.
It is rare because the number of large beasts like the Venomous Horned Beast is not particularly large, and the Venomous Horned Beast's horn is non-renewable; if a Venomous Horned Beast loses its horn, it will never grow a second one in its lifetime.
The danger lies in the fact that if the deadly liquid hidden in the corner is stored or handled incorrectly and leaks, the resulting explosion could destroy the bar!
Amelia stared intently at the horn, her lips pale, cold sweat beading on her forehead and back. But the two people trading it seemed oblivious. The buyer tossed out a bag of gold, and after the seller checked it, he took the horn and casually stuffed it into his wizard's robe.
And this dangerous transaction was by no means unique; there were several similar high-risk and heinous transactions in the bar lobby.
How to do?
Amelia looked bewildered and somewhat helpless, unsure whether to arrest these people directly or rush back to call for backup.
Congress is currently overwhelmed by the loss of some extremely dangerous magical creatures from the Magical Creatures Reserve. If these creatures were to appear in the Muggle world, the consequences would be catastrophic. And the wizards who traded the horns of the Venomous Horn might just be poachers!
After completing the transaction, the two clinked glasses, each finished the last drop of wine in their glass, and then got up to leave.
The buyer joined a card game at another table, while the seller, having received the gold, didn't linger and headed towards the door.
As the criminal was about to pass by, Amelia nervously swallowed, unaware that her hand had already reached into her pocket.
"You should be glad your eyes are worthless, little girl!"
The man selling animal horns stopped as he passed by them. He gave Amelia's hand, hidden in her pocket, a sinister look, then stared at her with a malicious grin and said...
"Even if it's only worth one nat, I'll dig it up!"
The menacing aura that was coming at her made Amelia tremble violently, and she almost retreated in panic to draw her wand.
"If I were you, I would be more low-key and humble."
As soon as he entered the bar, the cat that had followed him in jumped off Amosta's shoulder. It nimbly darted around the feet of the passing crowd, its droopy ears now perked up, as if it were asking around for something.
The sale of animal horns also caught the attention of a cat named Hobby, but after glancing at the horn a few times, it lost interest and instead darted off to eavesdrop elsewhere.
Amosta's gaze followed it until she heard the arrogant words, then she looked away and spoke slowly and deliberately.
"So that I don't have to leave this bar with the gold I've worked so hard to earn."
The vendor had just grinned, about to scoff at the newcomer who probably knew nothing—fighting was absolutely forbidden in the Blind Pig Bar, otherwise the bar owner would use every available force to hunt him down until he was finally killed—when the handsome, gray-haired young man in front of him glanced at him casually, the vendor was taken aback for a moment, then became obedient.
"Excuse me, sir—"
The vendor hunched his shoulders and lowered his head.
"May I buy you and your friend a drink as an apology for my ramblings?"
"roll."
Amosta uttered only one word before walking toward the empty table.
Seeing this, the vendor breathed a sigh of relief, bowed to Amelia, and quickly left the bar with his head down. Even after he walked out the door, his shoulders remained hunched over.
"What's wrong with him?"
Amosta and Remus had already taken their seats, and Amelia quickly followed, looking both confused and bewildered.
"Wizards who live in this environment must have a keen sense of smell."
Remus smiled and said in a low voice,
"They can tell at a glance who is a newbie and who is someone you absolutely shouldn't mess with."
Upon hearing this, Amelia opened her mouth in surprise. She really couldn't see how Amosta, who had completely changed his appearance but still exuded a gentle aura, could be so unapproachable. No, that's not what she needed to worry about right now!
