The Return to Hogwarts

"He's probably exhausted, Jin Ge—"
About five minutes later, one of the fairies, suppressing its shrill voice, gave its judgment.
Jingo was the goblin with the missing right arm. It stood thirty feet directly in front of Amosta, its eyes fixed warily on Amosta's unconsciously twitching eyelids as he slept.
"But those two wizards said that this human is very powerful."
Jingo didn't lower its guard because of the fairy's words. It tentatively took a few steps closer to Amosta, staring suspiciously at Amosta's expressionless face.
"I thought he would spot us immediately."
He was exhausted.
The goblin who spoke first reiterated its judgment, beckoning a finger to Amosta. The stack of parchment lying on the grass beside Amosta immediately flew into its somewhat incongruously shaped finger. Seeing that Amosta still didn't react, the goblin breathed a sigh of relief. It straightened up, glancing smugly at Jingo, who was displeased with its unauthorized action, and waved the parchment.
"This is the kind of plan he's working on—"
"All right--"
It seemed that Amosta Blaine was indeed asleep. Jingo slowly lowered his finger, and the fairies who saw it resumed standing.
"I thought we would suffer heavy casualties, but it looks like we're lucky."
After glancing at the plan twice, Jin Ge lost interest and stared at Amosta's face again.
Wizards love to boast—
The fairy had said nonchalantly before,
"What they're really good at is scheming and backstabbing."
Jingo disagreed with his subordinates' views. If wizards were only good at scheming and intrigue, then how was the great holy war launched by his ancestors with fairies centuries ago suppressed?
"What should we do, Jin Ge?"
Ladi walked around the recliner twice, then stopped beside Jingo, looking at Amosta with disdain. Suddenly, it spoke with great interest.
"Let's kill him! This will definitely cause a huge mess with the wizards!"
"If we kill him, we're doomed too!"
Jin Ge glared at La Di and said sternly,
"Don't forget, this wizard is one of Albus Dumbledore's men!"
"So what!"
Ladi looked unconvinced.
"Albus Dumbledore is old and feeble. Perhaps he'll be finished tomorrow. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent such a fool with no sense of vigilance here. Humph, those two greedy wizards made us confuse Amostra Blaine's mind. Humph, what right do greedy and shameless wizards have to order goblins around?"
"Bana will be furious."
Jin Ge warned again,
“If we kill Amosta Blaine, the wizards might not be able to find out, but the boring game they’re currently playing will be stopped, and we’ll suffer significant losses, not only against those two wizards.”
The loss of the fairies' interests was something Ladi could not accept. It paused briefly, then asked in a low voice,
"What are you going to do, Jingo? Follow the instructions of those two wizards and erase the plan from his mind?"
"No, we'll take him back to Barna."
Suspicion welled up in Jin Ge's eyes again. It snapped its fingers, and a beam of magical light shot out from its fingertip, instantly piercing Amosta's chest. After Amosta's head drooped, the quill pen lying on the ground flew into the air with a whoosh and transformed into a rope as thick as a thumb, binding Amosta tightly.
Responding to Ladi's confused and shocked gaze, Jingo explained,
“Take him back to Barna and have him interrogate him to find out if the surveillance camera this wizard mentioned has any evidence of our presence here. We can’t take any risks. Then, we’ll do something to his brain.”
This was indeed the safest method, and Ladi nodded slightly at his ugly, pointed head, no longer questioning it.
Several fairies immediately rushed over and carried Amosta away. After erasing the footprints on the ground, Jingo and Ladi carefully checked the surroundings again. After confirming that Amosta Blaine had not placed that surveillance mirror again, the fairies who had suddenly appeared there used their unique teleportation magic to leave the room in unison.
Chapter 411 The Wise Fairy
2023-08-09
A special magical barrier separates the Muggle and wizarding worlds, and the Gringotts World Bank headquarters is located on the busiest street in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
This is a magnificent building that incorporates various styles. For example, in front of the grand bronze gate, below the snow-white marble steps, stand two imposing Pixiu statues. These magical creatures, originating from the distant East, symbolize wealth, and this wondrous symbolism is most beloved by those fairies who are obsessed with money.
Ascending the steps, above the bronze gate, on the lintel, is a gleaming gold galleon ten feet in diameter, a way the fairies use to announce their wealth to wizards worldwide.
Passing through the bronze gate, you can see what the Gringotts headquarters looks like.
This place is quite different from Gringotts in Diagon Alley. In a large hall that is about five or six times the size of Hogwarts Great Hall, there are no endless counters and tables, and no goblins calculating wealth. The decor here is more like a Muggle-style five-star hotel.
But even late at night, most of the countless VIP rooms on dozens of floors of the building are still brightly lit.
Gringotts headquarters does not handle private storage services like ordinary branches; it is a financial center for elves and wizards.
The fairies will receive patriarchs of powerful families and leaders of magical industries from all over the world here, accepting their collateral and lending out glittering Galleons. Of course, the fairies will also assess promising industries and make proactive investments.
If you had to pick a few places that could influence global magical civilization, the Gringotts World Bank Centre would definitely be in the top ten.
Buildings in the magical world are generally not very tall, and the fairies are no exception. However, in order to handle the massive business brought about by hundreds of prosperous magical civilizations around the world, the fairies still built their headquarters, floor by floor, to a height comparable to the Eiffel Tower.
At this moment, the stars set.
The top floor of the building is the only floor in the entire building that is not divided by partitions. The entire floor is covered with expensive velvet carpets, and the four walls, like the reception hall of the British Ministry of Magic, are inlaid with many fireplaces. Each fireplace corresponds to a Gringotts branch located around the world. In case of an emergency, the Gringotts branch will come here through the fireplace to consult with the goblin leader who is in charge of this place.
In the dead of night, the large room was empty and silent.
So when a series of crisp popping sounds came from here, Bana, who was sitting behind a huge black and red ebony desk against the west wall of the room, immediately looked up.
This sprite looked quite old; when it stood up, its grayish-white beard, mixed with some dark green, reached down to its knees. It wore a pair of meticulously styled reading glasses and a specially sized silver-green robe, and its serious expression bore a resemblance to Old Barty when he was working.
"Mr. Barna--"
Jingo bowed respectfully to Bana, and the other fairies, including Ladi, did almost the exact same thing.
"what happened?"
Barna spoke with a weathered air, his words carrying the aura of a superior. He glanced at Amosta Blaine, who was being carried by several goblins, his tone devoid of emotion.
"Is this wizard Amosta Blaine?"
Bana's cloudy eyes darted around, then he turned his gaze to Jingo.
“My orders to you were to confuse this wizard’s mind and prevent him from causing any more trouble. Jingo, why did you encounter such fierce resistance when you brought him back? But it seems you haven’t lost any men.”
"The operation went smoothly, Mr. Barna—"
Despite not being ordered to straighten up, Jin Ge remained bowed and respectfully said...
"When we entered the room, the wizard was asleep. He wasn't awakened by the noise we made, but—"
As he said this, Jingo quickly glanced at Mr. Barna, and seeing that he didn't seem angry, he cautiously continued,
“Ludo Bagman told us that this wizard used a special alchemical tool to record the scene of our actions, and that the alchemical tool was not completely damaged. To be frank, Ludo Bagman is not a bright wizard. I am worried that he has been deceived. Perhaps Amosta Blaine has already obtained evidence, or perhaps this is just a false rumor and Ludo Bagman has been tricked. Therefore, I have decided to bring him back for you to interrogate.”
"You've thought this through very carefully, Jin Ge—"
"Leader of the Fairies," Mr. Barna said in a slow, deliberate voice, looking down at Jingo, whose face was beaming with delight.
"But have you considered the risks of doing this? For example, this wizard has already discovered that Bagman is acting strangely, and your subjugation of him is just a facade—"
Jingo's expression changed slightly. It wanted to explain that it had used magic to ensure Amosta Blaine was in a state of insanity, but before it could say anything, Mr. Barna continued...
"For example, there is a lot of evidence that Albus Dumbledore is very protective of Amostella Blaine. If he has been secretly protecting him all along, now that Albus Dumbledore has discovered that his successor has appeared in such an illogical place, how should we deal with Dumbledore in his rage?"
Jin Ge's wrinkled face trembled incessantly, his head drooped lower and lower, and his two pointed ears drooped down.
The flute seemed somewhat unconvinced, but it clearly dared not refute Mr. Barna to his face and could only bury its resentment in its stomach.
Seeing that the 'demons' remained silent, the busy Barna lost interest in continuing the reprimand and calmly said,
“Take Amosta Blaine to a secret room, wake him up, interrogate him thoroughly, erase his memory, and send him back.”
"As you wish, Mr. Barna—"
Jingo's forehead was almost touching the ground as it spoke respectfully.
"Also, Jin Ge—"
Just as Barna was about to walk back to his desk, it seemed to suddenly remember something. It turned its head and silently stared at Jingo, speaking slowly to make sure every word was heard clearly.
“From now on, I hope my orders will be carried out with due importance. If there is a next time, your only remaining arm may also disappear.”
A chill swept through the completely enclosed room the moment Bana's voice fell. A group of fairies who specialized in doing shady things fell silent under the power of those words, even the downy hair on their heads trembled.
Go then-
Barna completely lost interest. As the person in charge of wealth that even an ancient pure-blooded family like the Malfoys, whose riches were unimaginable, he had too many things to deal with every day. The only reason he was willing to spend his precious time reprimanding his subordinates was because their stupid actions might implicate Albus Dumbledore.
"Mr. Barna, is that right?"
Just as Jin Ge was preparing to obey orders and lead his followers to a secret room to interrogate Amosta Blaine, a polite yet unfamiliar voice suddenly rang out in the large room.
Would you be willing to spend some time talking to me alone?
Instantly, the tense atmosphere in the room exploded!
The elderly and frail Barna turned around in astonishment, only to find that the young wizard who had been lying on the floor, surrounded by Jingo's subordinates, was no longer in his original position, but had appeared behind Jingo and his men. He stood with his hands folded in front of him, a gentle smile on his face, his pale purple eyes, etched with the vicissitudes of life, calmly gazing at him.
"kill him."
