Both of them possessed extraordinary magical abilities, which were truly breathtaking. They clashed back and forth on the deck, sometimes with fire and wind colliding, sometimes with heat waves and varying temperatures, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

"Haha, your magic is truly amazing!" Alvida laughed loudly. "I have never encountered such a powerful opponent as you."

“You’re pretty good too,” Locke replied, not to be outdone. “I feel like we’re a great match and can explore more magical mysteries together.”

The two gradually developed a friendship during their magical competition. They began to share their magical experiences and explore more magical techniques together. Alvida taught Locke how to use fire magic for cooking, while Locke showed Alvida how to use wind magic for sailing.

“Alvida, you know what?” Locke said, “I think magic and pirate life have a lot in common.”

"Really?" Alvida asked curiously. "Could you explain in more detail?"

“Both magic and pirate life require courage and a spirit of adventure,” Locke explained. “We need to dare to challenge the unknown and explore more unknown worlds. Moreover, both magic and pirate life require constant training and improvement of one’s abilities.”

“You’re absolutely right,” Alvida nodded. “That’s why I’ve been constantly improving my magical abilities, hoping to become a more powerful mage.”

“Me too…” Locke said with deep feeling, “I have been constantly exploring my magical skills, hoping to become a better magician.”

Locke and Alvida had enjoyed a few wonderful days on the pirate ship, but they knew this couldn't last forever. So, Locke decided to disembark to buy some necessities and also to check out the surrounding area and find out what the pirates were up to.

He arrived in a small town, intending to buy some food and medicine. Suddenly, he heard a familiar voice: "Locke, what are you doing here?" He turned around and saw a naval vice admiral, Onigumo.

"Vice Admiral Onigumo, what are you doing here?" Locke asked, somewhat surprised. "Weren't you always hunting pirates?"

“Yes, I’ve been hunting down those despicable pirates,” Onigumo sneered. “However, I’ve heard that some pirates have been lurking around here recently, so I’ve come here to patrol.”

"Oh, I see." Locke nodded. "Have you heard anything about a certain pirate ship?"

"Are you referring to that pirate ship called 'Eye of the Storm'?" Ghost Spider asked. "I've heard they've been active in this area lately."

“Yes, I was on that ship,” Locke answered frankly. “But I have left the pirate crew and am now just an ordinary traveler.”

"Hmph, I don't believe you." Onigumo sneered. "I should have arrested and interrogated someone like you long ago."

“You have no evidence and cannot accuse me without reason,” Locke said calmly. “Besides, I have already assured you that I have left the pirate gang.”

"Alright, I'll let you off the hook now." Onigumo exhaled. "But you'd better not let me see you again."

Locke nodded and left the town. He knew he had to be careful, or he might be hunted down by the navy.

Back on the pirate ship, Locke told Alvida what he had experienced. After listening, Alvida was somewhat worried: "This is not good. If the navy starts patrolling this area, our situation could become even more dangerous."

“Yes, I have the same concern.” Locke nodded. “But we can’t hide forever; we still need to purchase some necessary supplies.”

"So what should we do?" Alvida asked. "Where do you think we should go to buy them?"

“I’ve heard there’s a place nearby called ‘Greenleaf Town,’ which has a large market where we can make our purchases,” Locke thought for a moment before replying.

“Alright, let’s go to Greenleaf Town then,” Alvida nodded. “But we need to be careful not to get spotted by the Navy.”

So Locke and Alvida headed to Greenleaf Town together.

Locke and Alvida arrived in Greenleaf Town, a bustling little town with people coming and going and a market filled with all sorts of goods. They began browsing the market, buying food and medicine. Locke suddenly felt someone watching him. He looked up and saw it was Lieutenant General Ghost Spider.

"Locke, you despicable pirate, how dare you come here?" Vice Admiral Ghost Spider roared.

“Vice Admiral Onigumo, I have left the pirate crew and am now just an ordinary traveler,” Locke replied calmly.

"You think I'd believe you? You despicable bastard, I've been waiting for you for a long time!" Vice Admiral Onigumo roared. "You should have been arrested by the Navy long ago."

“I’ve already explained. I’ve left the pirate crew and am now just an ordinary traveler,” Locke emphasized again.

"You think your excuse can fool me? You despicable pirate, you should be held accountable for your crimes." Vice Admiral Onigumo's voice grew louder and louder, and people around began to gather to watch.

“Lieutenant General Ghost Spider, you have no right to make baseless accusations against him,” Alvida spoke up to defend Locke. “We’re just here to purchase some necessary items.”

“You pirates always think you can do whatever you want,” Vice Admiral Onigumo persisted. “You should be arrested and held accountable for your crimes.”

“We’ve left the pirate crew and are now just ordinary travelers,” Locke emphasized again. “You have no evidence; you can’t accuse us without proof.”

Chapter 307: Do you think you can escape?

"Locke, you despicable pirate, you must be held accountable for your crimes!" Lieutenant General Ghost Spider shouted.

“Vice Admiral Onigumo, as I’ve already said, I’ve left the pirate crew and am now just an ordinary traveler,” Locke replied firmly.

“Your excuse is unbelievable. You must stand trial,” said Lieutenant General Ghost Spider, drawing his pistol and aiming it at Locke.

Locke's eyes narrowed, and he quickly dodged to the side. He knew that this lieutenant general was not someone to be trifled with, and he had to get rid of his pursuit as soon as possible.

"Do you think you can escape?" Lieutenant General Onigumo caught up, firing his pistol incessantly.

Locke weaved nimbly through the crowd, dodging Lieutenant General Ghost Spider's gunfire. He picked up a rock, preparing to throw it at the general, but the general swiftly turned and pointed his gun at Locke.

"Put down your weapon, Locke, you have nowhere to run." Lieutenant General Onigumo revealed a smug smile.

"I won't give up!" Locke shouted, charging towards Lieutenant General Onigumo and shoving him to the ground with both hands.

Locke seized the opportunity and ran towards the market exit. He ran, constantly evading the lieutenant general's pursuit. When he escaped the market and reached the seaside, the lieutenant general had already disappeared.

"Luckily, I managed to escape." Locke breathed a sigh of relief, still feeling a little excited.

He glanced back at Greenleaf Town, a sense of unease creeping into his heart. He knew the lieutenant general wouldn't let it go and might come knocking again at any moment. He decided he had to leave as soon as possible and find a more secluded place.

Locke returned to the pirate ship and told Alvida what had happened. After listening, Alvida's expression also turned serious.

“This is bad, we must get out of here as soon as possible,” Alvida said.

“I have a plan that might help us shake off the lieutenant general’s pursuit,” Locke said.

"What plan?" Alvida asked curiously.

“We can disguise ourselves as ordinary merchants and leave here on a cargo ship. That way, the lieutenant general won’t easily spot us, and it will be much harder to track our movements,” Locke proposed his plan.

“That’s a good plan. But we need a cargo ship, and we also need to figure out how to get the legal permits and paperwork,” Alvida analyzed.

“I have a friend who’s a smuggler. Maybe he can help us,” Locke said.

“Then let’s hurry and go find him,” Alvida said. “Time is of the essence; we can’t delay any longer.”

So Locke and Alvida set off for the port where the smugglers were located. They arrived at a dilapidated dock and found Locke's friend—a middle-aged man.

“Hello, Buck. We need your help,” Locke greeted Buck.

“Oh, it’s you, Locke. Is there anything I can help you with?” Buck asked.

“We need a cargo ship and some legal documents and paperwork to leave this place smoothly,” Locke explained.

"What trouble have you two gotten into?" Buck asked curiously.

“We have a small misunderstanding with the lieutenant general and need to leave this place,” Alvida said.

“Okay, I can help you. But it will cost a fee. Do you have enough gold coins?” Buck asked.

“We have some gold coins, but it may not be enough to cover your expenses,” Locke said.

“That’s alright, I can get you some smuggled goods, which you can use in exchange for my service fee,” Buck stated his terms.

“Okay, let’s do it that way.” Locke and Alvida agreed to Buck’s request.

A few hours later, they successfully acquired a cargo ship and some smuggled goods, along with some legal documents and paperwork. They began to disguise themselves as ordinary merchants and prepared to leave the area.

Just as they were ready to depart, Lieutenant General Onigumo reappeared before them.

"Locke, you despicable pirate, you think you can escape? You can't escape!" Vice Admiral Onigumo said with a sneer.

Locke frowned slightly as he looked into Vice Admiral Onigumo's eyes. He knew he could no longer run away; he had to face this problem. He took a deep breath and decided to confront Vice Admiral Onigumo and his naval subordinates head-on.

“Vice Admiral Onigumo, your actions violate maritime regulations, and I must stop you,” Locke said firmly.

Vice Admiral Onigumo sneered, completely ignoring Locke's words. "You pirate, I knew long ago that you had never left the pirate crew. Your performance today proves my suspicions."

"Your guess is wrong. I've left the pirate crew. I'm just a traveler now," Locke emphasized again, revealing his true identity.

Lieutenant General Onigumo sneered, "No matter who you are, today you will pay the price for your crimes."

Locke's gaze swept over his subordinates, noting that they were all experienced naval warriors. He knew this would not be an easy battle.

"I don't want to fight you. If you leave now, I can spare your lives," Locke shouted to the naval soldiers.

However, Lieutenant General Onigumo had no intention of heeding Locke's advice. He ordered his men to surround and attack Locke.

Locke reacted swiftly, leaping up and using a short sword to defend against an attack from a naval warrior. He displayed his agility and formidable combat skills, quickly dispersing the surrounding naval warriors.

The naval warriors were amazed by Locke's strength and skill, and they felt a great pressure because they could not understand how a lone traveler could defeat them so easily.

"This guy, no wonder he's the legendary Locke, he's incredibly powerful," a naval soldier muttered.

"Don't be afraid of him. We have the advantage in numbers. We must cooperate to defeat him," Lieutenant General Onigumo shouted sternly.

Upon hearing his words, his men regrouped and launched a new attack. Locke dodged the naval soldiers' attacks while simultaneously retaliating. His attacks were so fast that they were difficult for the naval soldiers to react to, putting immense pressure on the surrounding naval soldiers.

"This guy is too strong, is there really no way we can defeat him?" a naval soldier shouted in terror.

Lieutenant General Onigumo refused to give up, brandishing his sword and charging at Locke. Locke met him head-on, and the two engaged in a fierce battle.

Their swords clashed, producing a piercing metallic clang. Lieutenant General Onigumo was incredibly powerful, even temporarily suppressing Locke.
