"Luffy, Luffy, if you knew that Camie would become like this, would you still be as impulsive as you were five years ago?"
Franky thought about what happened in the Sabaody Archipelago. There must be some unknown reason why Cammy could change so much, how a good girl could become a promiscuous woman.
The first few shows of Crazy Horse all had roughly the same content: strippers on stage, accompanied by psychedelic lighting, would remove their clothes one by one during a beautiful dance until they were completely naked in front of the audience, providing a visual thrill for the viewers in the stands.
Among the patrons who paid a high price, some were relatively restrained in the audience, while others, who were attending a show for the first time, behaved quite outrageously. Shouting and whistling at the stage were the least of their worries; some even disregarded the private setting and started playing cards with their female companions, turning into beasts of desire.
Some of the strippers who performed on stage were celebrities from the sea. These stars and singers were originally supported by ordinary audiences with real money. How could fans and moviegoers have imagined that what they cherished as treasures was nothing more than playthings to be used for amusement by some powerful and wealthy people?
After nearly ten shows, the Crazy Horse Show was already halfway through. Eventually, people would get tired of just watching striptease, and they would need more sensory stimulation. Pornography was no longer enough to satisfy these patrons.
When it came time to showcase the Don Quixote family's collection, the mermaid Camie pushed a small cart onto the stage. Since the contents of the cart were covered by a black cloth, the audience in the stands didn't know what was inside and looked at the hostess with expectant eyes.
"Dressrosa has legends about fairies. Outsiders don't know what they are, but the island's natives all know what they are. Some of the beautiful little creatures have become today's exhibits. I'm going to unveil them now. Don't blink!" Under the gaze of countless eyes, Cammy slowly unveiled the black curtain.
What comes into view is the corpse of a small creature, made into a specimen wrapped in butterflies. Large and small butterflies flit over this beautiful creature, creating a cruel yet beautiful scene.
"I think some of your discerning patrons know the origins of these creatures. They are a specialty of Dressrosa Island, belonging to the Tontatta tribe, a branch of the dwarf race. This artwork is named Butterfly Bian."
Although photography was not allowed at the Wind Horse Show, the audience on stage couldn't help but marvel at the high level of artistry of the Don Quixote family's work. It was simply too artistic; only humans could appreciate such art.
Franky calmly observed the exhibit, his mental quantum computer searching for relevant information about the tragic experiences of ordinary people. Before the Donquixote family became Celestial Dragons, they enslaved the Tontatta clan on this land.
After the Riku royal family came to power, they reached a reconciliation with the dwarves and fabricated legends about fairies in order to make up for their debt to them. Hundreds of years of peaceful coexistence passed in the blink of an eye. Now the Yaksha has returned and brought them back to a life of enslavement, and even worse, he turned the dwarves' corpses into specimens and displayed them as works of art.
Humans don't even spare their own kind, and as for other races, they aren't even human. They don't feel any sympathy when they harm them. Humans have committed many acts of genocide, whether passive or active, and these are crimes that have not been recorded in history.
"Humanity's animalistic nature can never be eliminated; they love doing things that lead to self-destruction." To preserve humanity, one must accept the good aspects, and Franky must accept the bad aspects even more. He really didn't come to the Crazy Horse show for nothing today.
This exhibit, named Butterfly Bian, is just an appetizer. Something even more intriguing is about to be brought to the forefront. Mermaid Cammy recites her opening remarks: "The next item is the grand finale of this Wind Horse Show, from the white town of Flevance, a unique existence in this world..."
The older patrons of the White Town knew that the country had once been struck by a great plague, wiping out its entire population overnight and leaving behind the terrifying legend of lead poisoning.
Chapter 115 The Silver Maiden
In this information-isolated sea, communication between islands relies solely on Den Den Mushi (snail telephones). Although these magical creatures can communicate regardless of distance, they are not yet cheap enough for everyone to own one.
Ordinary people mostly get their news from newspapers, and there are not many things that the world will remember. Over the years, all that remains of the memory of the White Town is the terrifying legend of lead poisoning.
The kind of disease that could wipe out a country in just a few days was a deadly weapon for ordinary people, and they firmly believed that lead poisoning was contagious.
In recent days, tourists have been hearing the name Flevance all the time in promotional materials. The wealthy people who recently attended the Crazy Horse Show never expected that the final exhibit of the show would be related to that unlucky place.
At the mermaid host's prompting, two burly staff members struggled to push a huge container with a tube inserted into the back of the container, extending into the stage floor. This exhibit was also covered by a black cloth.
The container, painstakingly carried up, was large enough to hold several people. The patrons in the stands began to speculate about what was inside. These people, who had paid a high price to see the show, were even more eager to know what was in the container.
"Some of our younger clients may not be familiar with Flevance, so I'll give you a brief overview. Please be patient; this exhibit is quite rare."
The mermaid Cammy briefly described the past prosperity of Flevans, but beneath this prosperity lay a deadly disease: the country's inhabitants were infected with a disease that caused white spots, which was named Amber Lead Disease.
After being infected with this infectious disease, one would die a painful death in a short time. After the entire population of the town was wiped out overnight, the White Town became a beautiful fairy tale. The lead poisoning was eradicated, and this terrible disease never appeared on the sea again.
The mermaid host placed her jade-like hand on the black cloth and revealed the answer to the guests before the unveiling: "The survivors of the White Town were not all wiped out. Our Don Quixote family was fortunate enough to have the only survivor. The exhibit is named the Silver Maiden."
Kemi pulled the black cloth to the ground. It was a transparent glass container, inside which was a naked woman with her whole body in silver. She was curled up in fear because she was suddenly exposed to the light.
This delicate appearance further accentuates her silvery skin. The light intentionally shines on her body, reflecting a beautiful metallic sheen. She is a living work of art.
The host introduced the exhibit to the audience: "This woman's silver skin is not from silver powder. Because she suffers from lead poisoning, her entire body is covered in silver, which is just a pathological manifestation. She is the only survivor of White Town, and she is a unique existence in this world." This artificially created scarcity makes her worth a fortune, even if the exhibit is an ordinary human being.
However, amidst this atmosphere of curiosity, some timid customers soon began to panic, for the infamous amber lead disease was no joke.
"Oh my god, the exhibits are things like this! I hope I won't catch lead poisoning."
"I want to leave here; I don't want to die."
"It's beautiful, but it's deadly. Lead poisoning shouldn't exist in this world."
As the patrons in the audience gradually left, in this airtight, enclosed space, who knew if someone might be infected with lead poisoning? If this terrifying disease were to break out, no one in Dressrosa would be able to escape it, and in their minds, Flevance would simply be gone.
Seeing that the situation was about to get out of control, the host, Kemi, maintained order on stage and explained to the departing customers: "Our Don Quixote family has imprisoned this woman for many years. As long as you don't have physical contact with her, you won't get lead poisoning."
Upon hearing this, the wealthy individuals who were about to leave returned to their seats amidst complaints. Without the danger of lead poisoning, they could now appreciate the perfect work of art from the silver maiden in the vessel on the stage with a more perverse and morbid fascination.
After stabilizing the situation at the show, the Silver Woman in the container couldn't just hide like that. Kemi tapped the glass container with her fingers, and each time she tapped, the woman in the container would tremble—a subtle signal to the slave.
After the tenth tap, the Silver Woman seemed to have been brainwashed. She was no longer afraid to stand up and show her silver skin to the onlookers from every angle.
This vibrant exhibit, with its powerful visual impact, drew gasps of amazement from the audience. Every part of the woman's body was on full display; every inch of her skin was silver, even her pupils and hair were silver. No wonder she was named the Silver Woman.
"It's so beautiful, it's practically art!"
"It turns out the reputation of the White Town wasn't exaggerated; even the survivors there are so beautiful."
"The Silver Maiden is unique in this world. The price of such a rare item is unknown. If I bought her and displayed her at home as a decoration, it would certainly make me look very prestigious."
While marveling at the stunning artistic atmosphere of the Silver Lady, some wealthy individuals are already considering buying the exhibit from the Don Quixote family. Wouldn't it make a difference if they owned it while others didn't?
As for whether they cared about the fate of the exhibits, these people automatically skipped over that question in their minds. From the beginning, they didn't treat the people who came out of Frefans as their own kind. Turning them into souvenirs or exhibits was already a favor to the survivors.
The two hostesses beside the robot cheered along with the crowd towards the stage in this eerie atmosphere. The Silver Woman, inside the glass container, kept changing her standing posture. She was like a perfect sculpture, allowing the audience to feel the beauty from ancient times.
Franky remained silent throughout, though sitting in the back row, he could clearly see through his mechanical eyes a label next to the glass container that read the exhibit's name: Silver Daughter.
Regarding the name of this female survivor from Flevans, it is clearly written below her artistic name as Trafalgar Rami. She shares the same surname as the newly appointed Shichibukai, which is absolutely outrageous.
Amidst the atmosphere of madness and revelry, the hooded man in the back row no longer crossed his legs. He gripped his longsword tightly, his whole body trembling and radiating a terrifying killing intent, making the white bear beside him feel uneasy.
"Captain, are you alright? Did I do something wrong? I'm sorry," the polar bear began apologizing again, even though it wasn't his fault. Five years later, he still loved apologizing.
"I'm perfectly fine now, I'm going to kill everyone here."
If he didn't do it today, Trafalgar Law would regret it for the rest of his life.
Chapter 116 Disrupting the Show
When Franky noticed the Silver Woman's surname, he had a guess in his mind. Coupled with Trafalgar Law being on the verge of exploding, it was not difficult to draw a conclusion that the exhibits on the stage should have some kind of blood relationship with the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
Despite being a freak, he was also a gentleman. Franky shook the shoulders of the two hostesses and said, "You two should leave now. A lot of people will die in this crazy horse show, and I won't be able to take care of you then."
The two sisters who had just joined the House of Passion were quite obedient. They immediately withdrew from the enthusiastic atmosphere, looked at the robot guest with grateful eyes, and gave Franky a kiss before leaving.
"Uncle Franky, we'll remember you for the rest of our lives. Please, please don't get hurt!"
Seeing the two hostesses jog away from the audience, Frankie realized they must have misunderstood something and thought he was the one who was going to cause trouble at the show.
Let it be a misunderstanding. If they can survive tonight, their chance encounter will not have been in vain. Franky had already seen Trafalgar Law stand up from his seat, one hand raised in the air, his fingers clenched as if he were about to use his demonic powers.
"ROOM - Slaughterhouse"
One second the audience members were marveling at the artistry of the Silver Woman on stage, the next second everyone was sent flying into the air and cut into pieces after a flash of light.
Even after being decapitated, he can still speak; even after being chopped into pieces, he feels no pain. Is this a special performance by Crazy Horse?
A head detached from the body and spoke: "I was so scared, I thought I was going to die."
"Could this be a Devil Fruit? I feel like I've seen it somewhere before."
"What exactly happened? The Don Quixote family officials need to give us an explanation!"
A large mass of human body parts floated in the air above the show. Among the audience, only one person and one bear were intact. The man lowered his hood to reveal his face, and some knowledgeable pirates instantly recognized him.
"He's the surgeon of death!"
"How could a Shichibukai be here!"
"Trafalgar Law, I'm not a pirate! I'm just a small-time merchant. I can give you money, a lot of ransom. Please, let me go!"
Amidst curses, pleas, and cries of despair, the Shichibukai, followed by a white bear, strode heavily toward the center of the stage.
The mermaid host on stage wasn't cut up by ROOM. Faced with such an absolute difference in strength, she was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, her mind filled with fear. This caused Camie to not recognize him at first, even though she had met the pirate Trafalgar Law once before.
Tears welled up in the man's eyes. After so many years apart since their parting in Flevance, the brother and sister had finally met again, and in such a place and on such a occasion. Fate was truly cruel to Trafalgar Law!
The Silver Woman sensed someone approaching, and she became even more proactive in displaying her body, making alluring and seductive gestures in an attempt to please the viewers. However, this only caused Luo more pain.
"Rami, I'm the older brother! I'm Luo, don't you remember? We're siblings!"
The moment Trafalgar Law's fists touched the glass container, the Silver Woman suddenly reacted, kneeling down and repeatedly kowtowing to the man outside the container, begging for the viewer's forgiveness.
"What did they do to you? Rami, don't be afraid, I'm your brother." The sister in the container had already ingrained the slavery into her bones. Trafalgar Law could not even imagine the torment she had endured over the years. The dark past imposed on Rami was the greatest punishment for being a brother.
When Ron was ten years old, he witnessed his parents lying in a pool of blood at his home in Fryvanes. He hid his sister in the closet beforehand, thinking that it would be safe. Later, when he saw his old family home engulfed in flames, he assumed that Rami had also died in the fire and did not search for his sister's whereabouts for many years.
Now that Rami has appeared before Law in the guise of the Silver Maiden, he deeply regrets not checking afterward, which has caused his sister so much suffering over the years. This is his fault as her older brother.
"Rami, you don't have to be an exhibit anymore. Your brother will protect you from now on. If they want to hurt you, they'll have to step over my Trafalgar Law's corpse." The Shichibukai brandished his Demon Cry, unfolding the glass container in the middle within the ROOM area and moving the transparent cage away from Rami.
Luo took off his black coat and draped it over his sister. At first, the silver-haired woman cowered in fear, thinking she was about to be beaten again. But when she received a piece of clothing, the silver-haired woman paused, tears welling up in her eyes, as a part of her human emotions returned.
"Bepo, hold my sister and take care of her for a bit. I have something to ask you."
The polar bear agreed and darted out from behind the captain. The Silver Woman, faced with the sudden appearance of the furry creature, and considering Bepo's adorable appearance and natural affinity for female creatures, was immediately drawn to him.
Rami quickly accepted the other's presence, feeling the warmth of the bear's embrace as she was lifted up by a pair of bear paws. Compared to the cold glass container, she preferred being in the arms of this wild beast, allowing the Silver Maiden to feel a warmth she had never experienced before.
The mermaid host looked even more terrified when she saw the Amber Lead Patient being released. "That's Amber Lead Disease! Releasing the Silver Maiden means everyone in Dressrosa will die. I don't want to die!"
Camie's mournful cries ignited the passion of the humans in the ROOM. They launched a barrage of personal attacks against Trafalgar Law, urging the Shichibukai to quickly eliminate the Silver Maiden and rid the human camp of this scourge, ensuring that the Flevance incident would not be repeated.
Faced with these clamoring words, Trafalgar Law used his ghostly wails to slash a knife in the ROOM, tearing his vocal cords from the bodies of these patrons, and the once noisy show instantly became quiet.
Ghost Cry pointed at the mermaid who was slumped on the ground, and the cold killing intent in his eyes was something that Camie could fully feel. If she did not answer Trafalgar Law's questions to the satisfaction of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the sword in his hand would be used to cut the mermaid. The word "pity for a beautiful woman" did not exist in this brother's dictionary.
"Who taught you that hinting technique? I need the specific name." Law guessed that the person who taught the mermaid Camie that hinting technique must be the culprit who tortured and tormented his sister Rami, and like Doflamingo, was on his kill list.
"I can't tell him. If I do, he'll kill me. He has friends in his hands."
