"You go in first! I'll wait for you here," Minato said after thinking for a moment.
Kabuto went to reunite with the orphanage director, and Minato thought there was no need for him to disturb them; it would be better to wait outside.
Kabuto nodded upon hearing this, then turned and walked inside. The orphanage now is very different from the one in the future. Thanks to Naruto, the orphanage won't have to worry too much about funding in the future. Furthermore, because many people lost their parents in the Fourth Shinobi World War, the number of orphans has increased dramatically, forcing Konoha to expand the orphanage.
But later, with the advent of peace and the absence of war, the children from the previous group gradually grew up, causing the number of people in the orphanage to decrease again and again, until Naruto sent a batch of Uchiha test subjects...
But the orphanage hasn't been expanded yet; it's still the same as I remember it. I pushed open the familiar door and went inside!
Kabuto was lost in thought. Along the way, everyone from the orphanage staff to the children pointed at him, clearly not recognizing him! Even Kabuto's friend Aki, who had helped rescue the children with Yakushi Nonou, didn't recognize him.
But Dou didn't have time to care about any of that right now. All he wanted was to see the person he longed for day and night. Thinking this, he quickened his pace.
After walking for a short while, Dou arrived at the door of the dean's office. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door with trembling hands.
Kabuto was extremely nervous. He hadn't felt this nervous even when he launched the Fourth Shinobi World War and faced Obito Uchiha in his memories. Just then, a gentle voice came from inside the door: "Please come in."
With trembling hands, Kabuto gently opened the door and cautiously stepped inside. Yakushi Nonou was looking down at the documents on her desk when she saw someone enter. She glanced up, a flicker of nervousness crossing her eyes.
Wasn't this the person I was supposed to kill? Wasn't he in Iwagakure? Why was he here? Did he know I was going to kill him and want to strike first? Countless thoughts flashed through Yakushi Nonou's mind in an instant!
But strangely, why did I have such a strong feeling of familiarity with this person? Yet I definitely didn't know him! I only killed him because of Danzo's mission!
It must be said that Danzo's method of killing without shedding blood was indeed ruthless enough—gradually altering a person's appearance over time and then forcing two people to kill each other.
Suppressing the countless thoughts in her mind, Yakushi Nonou forcibly suppressed them and asked, "Hello, may I ask who you are?"
If Kabuto Yakushi had heard this before his rebirth, he would have been severely shocked. The headmaster who saved him, gave him a name, and even gave him his eyes had actually forgotten about him!
Fortunately, the current pharmacists, being reborn individuals, were mentally prepared. Taking a deep breath, they said haltingly:
"Dean...Dean, it's been so long! It's me, Dou. I used to work for you..."
Kabuto's voice grew softer and softer as he spoke. Although he was mentally prepared, he was still afraid—afraid that the headmaster wouldn't believe him, or even that he had truly forgotten him. Hearing this, the headmaster rushed over, examined him carefully, and said:
"What pocket? You say you're a pocket? Is it true? Are you really a pocket? But you don't look like one."
"Yes, it's because Danzo gradually replaced my appearance with other people's photos, so what you see isn't me at all, but other people. He did this because we know many of his secrets, so he wants us to kill each other and eliminate us."
As he spoke, Kabuto took off his glasses and handed them to Nono. Nono took them, looked at them, and then helped Kabuto put them back on.
Nono recognized the glasses that had been with her for so many years at a glance. The reason Nono didn't recognize Kabuto and the glasses in her memory world was because she was seriously injured by Kabuto and was on the verge of death, so her mind was blurred and her memories were becoming confused. Under such circumstances, it was impossible for her to recognize them.
But things are different now. Nonou is uninjured and perfectly clear-headed. As a skilled spy, Nonou isn't stupid; she quickly figured out Danzo's plot.
"Kabuto, are you really Kabuto?"
Nonou, somewhat incredulous, cupped Kabuto's face and said, "I'm so glad you're back safe and sound. You're really so glad." Kabuto didn't speak, only nodded. Seeing this, Nonou hugged Kabuto tightly, as if afraid he would disappear again, repeatedly saying, "Thank goodness, you're finally back safe and sound. I'm so glad."
For Nonou, all the children in the orphanage were her children. Kabuto had been working for Root (the orphanage's financial situation) because of financial problems, and Nonou felt immense guilt about this. She desperately wanted to find Kabuto, but no matter what she tried, Danzo refused to reveal anything about him. Later, he even ordered her to kill someone, promising to bring Kabuto back if she did. Left with no choice, Nonou complied, only to discover that the person he was supposed to kill was her own child. Thankfully, the Third Hokage brought him back in time, preventing a terrible tragedy. Kabuto was held tightly in Nonou's arms; though he was in great pain, he didn't struggle to break free, simply letting Nonou hold him quietly, tears streaming uncontrollably from his eyes!

Chapter 20: The First Meeting of the Two War Criminals of the Fourth Shinobi World War
Shuimen waited quietly outside the orphanage. The orphanage was a long building with two entrances, one in the front and one in the back. There were no other buildings around it; it stood alone in the desolate wilderness.
Although Minato is now in a high position at the Wood Industry and knows of the orphanage's existence, he has never actually been there. He's heard that the orphanage's director is a member of Root's intelligence department, a formidable woman known as the "Walking Shrine Maiden."
It's unbelievable that a woman like this could be so compassionate, establishing an orphanage in such a desolate place. A smile flickered in Minato's eyes as he thought this. It seems not everyone inside is a bad person; many are like the director, possessing kind hearts, but Danzo's presence has buried those kindnesses!
A murderous glint flashed in Minato's eyes as he thought of Danzo. He couldn't let him go! Although Minato wanted to kill Danzo immediately, he knew they were still at war. Without an end to the war, Minato couldn't rashly attack Danzo, lest it easily ignite a civil war in Konoha. If Konoha were beset by internal and external troubles, things would become incredibly complicated! Therefore, he could only forcibly suppress his killing intent towards Danzo for now.
Gazing at the woods opposite the orphanage, Minato remained silent, lost in thought. About half an hour later, the orphanage gate opened, and Kabuto emerged. He nodded to Minato and said softly:
"Fourth Hokage, is there something you need from me?"
Minato smiled slightly and nodded in acknowledgment, then said:
"Let's talk as we walk! Let me tell you about the reborn people first!"
Because Kabuto was one of the initiators of the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto believed he could play an important role. Furthermore, since Kabuto and Orochimaru were both alive and well after the war, their memories were much more complete than those of ordinary ninjas, though still fragmented.
"Sure! Where are we going?" Dou asked.
“Let’s go to Obito’s house!” Minato replied!
"Obito? That's good, I haven't seen him in a long time either, it'll be a good opportunity to catch up."
So the two walked and talked about what had happened after the Fourth Shinobi World War. Because neither of them walked very fast, it took them about an hour to walk from the orphanage to Obito's house.
"So Naruto is now..." Kabuto asked.
"I don't know. I think we should ask Orochimaru about this; he should have a solution."
“This matter is rather troublesome. At that time, I was busy with the orphanage, so I did not participate in the research and development of this ninjutsu, and therefore I am not familiar with it. How about this, when Lord Orochimaru returns to Konoha, I will study it with him, and we should be able to come up with a way to revive Naruto,” Kabuto said after thinking for a moment.
Minato was delighted upon hearing this, but after thinking for a moment, he said:
"Wouldn't it be more appropriate for you to be helping out at the orphanage right now?"
"As you said, this crisis concerns all of us. How could I stand idly by? Besides, the orphanage has the director and Aqi there, plus the Third Hokage's help, so it should be quite safe. And if I'm not mistaken, they should be about to make their move against Danzo by now! Then they'll be even safer."
Minato didn't speak, only nodded, which was taken as tacit agreement. The two walked to the door, and Minato stepped forward and knocked. Obito's voice came from inside: "Please come in, the door is unlocked!"
So Minato and Kabuto opened the door and went inside. Only Obito was left in the room; Rin had already left! But there was still food on the table, which Rin must have prepared. And there was a bouquet of flowers on Obito's bedside. Given Obito's personality, it's unlikely he would do such a thing, either now or in the future, so it must also be Rin's doing.
Upon seeing Minato and Kabuto enter, Obito quickly sat up in bed and greeted Minato. Although exhausted, Obito was able to get out of bed, but he couldn't engage in strenuous training for the time being...
After bowing, Obito focused his attention on Kabuto. Kabuto was only about ten years old and didn't have as many chakra cells as the others, so Obito didn't recognize him at first.
Seeing that Obito didn't recognize him, Kabuto smiled slightly, stepped forward, and said, "I never expected we'd meet again in this way, Obito."
Upon hearing this, Obito quickly processed the information in his mind, then frowned and asked, "Are you Kabuto?"
"I didn't expect you to still remember your comrade-in-arms! That's truly rare," Dou said.
"How come you were reborn too?"
"Thanks to someone else, I'm just like you."
After saying that, he found a stool, sat down, and carefully examined Obito's body before saying:
"I'm fine now, just exhausted. I'll be fine after a rest!"
"But, just like Rin said, I was sure Kabuto's ninjutsu hasn't gotten worse."
Having finally met his ally from the Fourth Shinobi World War, Obito Uchiha couldn't help but crack a joke.
Kabuto wasn't annoyed by this, he just smiled and said, "Heh, is that so! I wonder if she told you that your physical condition is very poor right now. These two forced uses of Kamui have put too much strain on your body. If this continues, you might die before the Otsutsuki descend."
"Is it that serious?"
At this moment, Minato, who had remained silent all along, finally spoke:
"Is there any way to solve this problem?"
"The method is actually very simple. Obito just needs to have the First Hokage's cells transplanted into him. I remember that in the memory world, he completely mastered the Mangekyou Sharingan through this method. Moreover, transplanting the First Hokage's cells would allow him to master Yin-Yang Release, ensuring that he wouldn't go blind from overuse of the Sharingan in the future, or like Itachi Uchiha, have his body collapse due to the excessive burden of the Sharingan, ultimately leading to his untimely death."
Kabuto said
"That's what I think too, which is one of the reasons I asked for the construction of Uchiha Madara. In my past life, I received the First Hokage's cells from him."
Obito, with a dotted drawing, agreed with Kabuto's words!
"Then I advise you to give up on that idea! Madara Uchiha is ruthless and vicious. In the future world, he has already placed a curse mark on your heart! He's plotting against you at every turn! If you go looking for him now, I think you're just asking for a quick death!"
Obito scratched his head awkwardly and said:
"I didn't intend to persuade him to be completely on our side before asking him for help. There are very few people in the ninja world who can properly transplant the First Hokage's cells, and he's the only one I can think of."
"I don't object to you seeing him, but if it involves transplanting First Hokage cells, I can help you. To be honest, in the ninja world right now, the people who have the deepest research on First Hokage cells and the Sharingan are probably Orochimaru and me. I was the one who helped Madara Uchiha resurrect his body."
Kabuto said confidently, while Obito looked at him suspiciously and joked:
"Are you out of your mind, so eager to help me? I remember when we fought together in the Fourth Shinobi World War, you were incredibly stingy, always on my guard!"
A hint of reminiscence flashed in Kabuto's eyes as he smiled:
"Although we were partners at the time, we were both using each other. How could I possibly genuinely help you?"
"Oh? Looks like you caused quite a few troubles back then! Tell me about it, maybe I'll be happy enough to agree to be your guinea pig."
Obito grinned mischievously. Since their rebirth, they'd discovered that the mistakes they made in their past lives hadn't yet occurred, and everything could still be rectified. Without so much pressure, their mindsets had unknowingly become younger! Before, they'd be lucky if they didn't scheme against each other when they met; they'd never joke around like this.
"A lot has happened. Unlike you, I'm not without any ties; I'd rather die and be done with it."
Hearing this, Obito couldn't help but roll his eyes at him, but Kabuto pretended not to notice and continued:
"I only found out after the Fourth Shinobi World War ended that someone had been looking for me, but like you, the mistake had already been made! So many people died, this is not something that can be resolved with just an apology or two!"
I thought I'd spend the rest of my life in prison, but unexpectedly, someone bailed me out with his life, and that's how I escaped jail time. Later, I went back to the orphanage and became its director!
"Oh? So you mean you're going to come back from the mountains... oh, not get discharged from the hospital again?" Obito chuckled.
This time, it was Kabuto's turn to roll his eyes at Obito! He continued, "I owe someone such a huge favor, how could I possibly stand idly by?"
Although neither Obito nor Kabuto explicitly revealed the person's identity, everyone tacitly understood who they were referring to.
"Excuse me, I need to interrupt your reminiscing for a moment."
At this moment, Minato stepped forward and said:
"What are your thoughts on the First Hokage's cells? Do you know where we can get them?"
"Regarding the cells, Lord Minato, you can rest assured," Kabuto said with a smile. "The place in the world with the most First Hokage cells is Orochimaru's research lab. Although Konoha should have quite a few as well, finding them would be very difficult. I think if it were Lord Orochimaru, knowing he was returning to Konoha, he would definitely bring a copy with him."
