"Can you kiss me? Consider it a farewell ceremony. After all, you are the Envoy of Abundance, while I am just a Celestial Shipman, a Celestial Shipman who worships Lord Emperor Bow."

Upon hearing this, Lu Xian paused for a moment before exiting the simulation.

Just as Black Tower said, Lu Xian is still a very innocent guy.

After all, the person in front of me is a simulation, and this feeling of love, hate, and separation is also fake.

The real Qingque is still troubled by why there is so much work to do today, and will never encounter such an extremely cruel thing as not being able to live forever.

You touched her briefly, then left, never to see her again.

50. Suffering and Existentialism

You never imagined that the turmoil in Luofu would originate between Luofu and Yaoqing.

That bright, azure moon, however, caught the attention of some of the people of Luofu who couldn't accept this reality.

The transformation of a life that is once incredibly long into something fleeting is something they simply cannot accept.

[The Great Lord of Annihilation has quietly intervened in this matter.]

Fortunately, the Luofu divination department did not malfunction and successfully divined the identities of these individuals, thus minimizing the unrest caused by the turmoil.

[Because the Yaoqing people suppressed the unrest caused by the Luofu people with absolute martial virtue, you heard their cries and their pleas, and you felt compassion for them. However, the generals of the Immortal Ship are watching you, preventing you from taking any action.]

The Luofu Immortal Boat sailed into the company's inner circle, a region with strong corporate protection and a high level of security.

The people of Luofu began to recuperate and rebuild their lives, much like the immortal boat in Fanghu.

Time may be the only way to heal the wounds inflicted by this turmoil.

You still reside on Luofu Mountain, able to somewhat resist fate, observing the myriad aspects of life here, and savoring their sorrows.

[From their changes, you interpret that immortality is the most convenient and effective way to resolve suffering.]

But you know, simply achieving immortality is far from enough.

Just like when you parted ways with Qingque, even after the separation, you could still sense an indescribable sorrow emanating from her.

You recalled some books you had casually flipped through in your past life.

If you could describe it precisely, you'd find a corresponding word: separation from loved ones.

Those who caused internal turmoil but were efficiently executed were driven by unfulfilled desires.

To gain something and then lose it, to desire something that is forever out of reach—that is truly the deepest sorrow.

Birth, aging, sickness, and death; separation from loved ones; and the inability to obtain what one desires.

[You have discerned these very clear forms of suffering. You vaguely recall that there are two other kinds: one seems to be encountering what one hates, and the remaining one, your hazy memory prevents you from recalling.]

You vaguely remember what your boss, the pharmacist who was still saving all living beings, said.

[The suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death all culminate in death. The suffering of the living is finite; the suffering of the old is inevitable; the suffering of the sick is close to death. Therefore, the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death is the root of all suffering.]

The Medicine Buddha seeks to liberate all beings from suffering, granting them endless life, eternal youth, and rebirth, freeing them from afflictions. Therefore, he spreads the power of longevity, hoping to liberate all beings from further suffering.

However, granting immortality is beyond the capacity of mortals to bear; thus, a demonic body arises, and illness and death still afflict them.

Death persists, and life continues.

The pharmacist ultimately did too much work in vain.

[Furthermore, it created a group of extremely greedy remnants of wealth, who roamed the world, causing countless misery.]

This abundance has been spread with far too much difficulty.

Your understanding of your destiny has gone astray, and your destiny has become somewhat unstable.

The Pharmacist heard your insights and summoned you to His presence.

[You see the pharmacist at this moment; due to increasingly severe self-destruction, his eyes are now countless.]

Your insights are spot-on, and your cognitive abilities are quite impressive. But there's no going back now. The ideas I had before becoming a Star God have deeply bound me, and my destiny has further worn down my thinking.

I have bestowed blessings upon countless civilizations, yet only in one place have I encountered abundance.

Clearly, my path...

As He spoke these words, the number of His eyes and hands continued to increase, clearly indicating that fate had worn Him down even more severely.

All we need to do is compassionately guide all beings, for everyone is trapped in the cycle of birth, aging, sickness, and death; only immortality can offer this liberation, and only after achieving immortality can one access abundance.

Clearly, during the brief moment of conversation between the pharmacist and you, because your thoughts slightly broadened your understanding of destiny, you lost yourself.

However, their destiny was not broadened.

"It's hopeless, but where am I?" You glanced at your boss, made a sharp comment, and then looked around at the completely unfamiliar star system.

[You tried to sense the location of Luofu, but found that you couldn't sense it at all, let alone teleport to it.]

You traversed countless galaxies, explored most of the known universe, and finally returned to the company's territory, discovering the location of Luofu.

Your consciousness and your thoughts have also been worn down considerably by these years of travel.

However, some things you've retained have become increasingly profound, especially regarding the seven sufferings.

You have gained some understanding of the eighth kind of suffering that you hadn't thought of.

Your obsession with returning to Luofu might just be part of this eighth suffering.

You have successfully returned to Luofu and witnessed the restored prosperity of the Celestial Ship.

You saw the aged Qingque again, and she saw you too. She smiled at you, and then fell silent.

You walked up to her and lifted her withered little hand.

You've had an epiphany.

My body, my thoughts, my actions, my feelings, my ideas.

If none of this had happened, I wouldn't have come here, nor would I have needed to hold these hands and experience all of this.

This is the eighth suffering: the burning of the five aggregates.

You've come to understand that this world is filled with suffering, all kinds of suffering.

You have touched nothingness.

You have touched the threshold of destruction.

Then you encountered a completely new path.

A torrent of imaginary energy erupted above Luofu.

The current young general looked over curiously.

You know him? I think his name is Yanqing.

[You rejected this imaginary energy. You remembered your boss, who had become a blessing machine, and knew that becoming a star god was meaningless and couldn't solve these sufferings.]

Your consciousness is being washed away and worn down by these imaginary energies until it completely disappears.

You're just one step away from becoming your boss in life.

[The Immortal Ship of Luofu was blessed with immortality by you, who were now considered machines.]

In the end, it all comes to nothing.

[Simulation ends. 】

(Note: If we say that the Star God is achieved here, the Star God is the Star God of Suffering, who adheres to existentialism. He is the opposite of pleasure, which is also existentialism, and is the absolute opposite of nihilism IX.)

This cannot create a completely idealized being like Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun or Guanyin Bodhisattva, who saves people from suffering.

"Well, thankfully it's just a simulation."

Looking at the characters on the simulator, Lu Xian felt a little sad. He took a deep breath and washed his face with cold water before driving away the negative emotions.

"Also, how did it suddenly turn into nihilism? Is it because of the limitations of the world? Is it only by becoming an existence above the Star God that we can solve this problem?"

But does something beyond the Star Gods truly exist?

With a hint of doubt, he looked at the still glowing characters in front of him, then returned to his normal state and muttered a complaint.

The character in the simulation understood the profound truth that all things in the world are suffering, but he didn't. He's currently quite optimistic and enjoys slacking off, so he probably won't touch that path.

After all, judging from this simulation, thinking about it will only add to your troubles.

Next time we simulate abundance, we must act as the Abundance Envoy properly and avoid doing anything unnecessary.

Lu Xian reached out and murmured to himself, "I still want to create a simple way to achieve immortality for myself or someone else."

Even if there are side effects from the demonic body, that's a long, long time from now.

The reward for this simulation is: the Token of Conqueror, granting a unique attribute cap of 40,000.

[Proof of the Conqueror - Stage One: Unlock Condition: Reject the Star God achievement in the simulator.]

[Phase One Effect: External forces can never erode your mind or wear down your will (limited to reality only).]

"Hey, the reward is pretty good, but giving this simulation to the Overlord makes it seem like the simulator is a brainless machine."

Upon seeing the reward, Lu Xian's face broke into a smile.

This world is full of crises, and you might unknowingly be infected by strange ways of thinking.
