"Ouch, my stomach hurts."

Jiraiya cried out and then clutched his stomach.

"Give way, give way."

Jiraiya tried to push the person in front of him aside, but it was no use.

"Lord Jiraiya, why did you come to my wedding and leave without even drinking a drop of wine? Is it because the wine from my Yuan Fei family doesn't suit your taste?"

Asuma raised his glass and spoke. He had been watching closely ever since he saw Jiraiya leading Minato and Choza towards Carrot. Carrot was Asuma's best man; could he let him be bullied? So he called his classmates for backup.

"Here, Jiraiya-sama, I'll drink this. You can do as you please."

Asuma shoved a glass of sake into Jiraiya's hand, then finished his own drink and stared intently at Jiraiya.

Jiraiya forced himself to finish the drink in his cup.

"Lord Jiraiya, you drank with Asuma, you can't not drink with me!"

Before long, Jiraiya collapsed to the ground, one cup after another. Karot didn't even need to intervene before Jiraiya fell.

Seeing Jiraiya collapse so quickly, Minato and Choza were extremely glad they had retreated early, otherwise the number of people who had fallen would have increased by another.

Even the Third Hokage couldn't bear to watch such a scene. A perfectly respectable elder was going to drink with a young man, only to end up getting drunk instead of getting any advantage over him. It was truly shameful! The Third Hokage never imagined that Jiraiya would make him feel ashamed once again.

"Don't worry, Carrot, I've got your back on my turf."

Asuma looks exactly like a gangster boss. I wonder if the Third Hokage would get angry seeing Asuma letting loose like this. He was originally being groomed to be the Hokage, but he ended up going astray.
