"I do not know either……"

Laurent wasn't a scientist; he simply discovered that their bodies seemed to develop resistance to meteorite ink, and their abilities would gradually disappear. Initially, they could become ethereal for half a day at a time, but as they used their abilities, the duration became shorter and shorter, eventually lasting only a few minutes, or even disappearing completely.

Within just a few days, some of them completely lost their abilities, and continuing to get tattoos was no longer effective.

"So you have to absorb fresh blood, like Whitney, to commit crimes with you and steal jewelry?"

David raised an eyebrow.

He said, "How could anyone casually recruit others and share this amazing ability?"

What is the recipe?

"Spare...spare my life."

"Don't make me say it a second time." A deep purple light shone in David's eyes, and a wave of intense heat washed over us.

As if feeling the lava of hell churning, Laurent glanced at the several gruesome corpses behind David and, with a trembling voice, named the brand of the tattoo ink he had used.

"very good……"

David turned and left, walking outside the junkyard.

As the terrifying young man left, the long-haired, tattooed man breathed a sigh of relief, a look of smug satisfaction on his face. An energy ray pierced his heart.

With precise energy control, the corpse fell straight down and burst into flames.

The tattoo artist was the first to gain the ability, but that ability has long since disappeared.

They then fired several more missiles to destroy the bodies and set the entire junkyard ablaze.

Against the backdrop of raging flames, David left calmly.

He's going home now to try out the recipe.

The long-haired tattooed man said that even without tattooing, just drawing a design will allow the solution to seep into the skin and have an effect, although it is easy to rub off.

"I don't know if this solution will be of any use to me."

David's eyes flashed.

Although his defenses are already strong enough, he doesn't really need this ability, but he can keep it as a means to survive, even if it's not essential.

Chapter 74 Wayne Hospital in the Small Town

On his way home, David stopped at a department store and bought some tattoo ink.

As he passed the street corner, he caught a plastic bottle that had been tossed into the air and was surprised to see the town hospital on another street taking on a brand-new look.

Amidst construction noise, the town hospital is undergoing renovation and refurbishment by workers who are working overtime.

A brand-new, gold-plated sign has been installed at the entrance: Wayne Group - Smallville Hospital.

"Wayne Group?"

David's eyelids twitched when he saw words that shouldn't be there.

The Wayne Enterprises, a behemoth that has dominated Gotham for over a century, is looking to expand its business into a metropolis, and coincidentally, it has chosen Smallville, an inconspicuous rural town.

He didn't think that was possible.

“Avery…”

When David and Clark went to Gotham, they tried to conceal their identities as much as possible to avoid being discovered by the Batman who liked to plot things in the dark. They focused their attention on the town and the farm to reduce unnecessary trouble.

Unfortunately, a brainless idiot had already emerged from this small town, causing a huge ruckus in Gotham without any attempt to conceal his identity.

"Bruce Wayne probably followed Avery's lead and found his way to the town."

"Given Batman's suspicious nature, he always tends to think the worst first..."

At the street corner, David stood, expressionless, tossing the ink bottle in his hand.

The strange occurrences in the town have likely attracted the attention of that bat.

……

"David, did you kill Whitney?"

He fell into a coma and slept soundly until dawn. When Clark woke up and didn't see his brother, David returned, he immediately blocked David at the warehouse door and asked him.

"That's how I do things, Clark."

David remained unmoved, believing that Clark should have gotten used to it by now.

"Don't forget who started this."

Clark paused, his face contorted with anger and frustration; the whole thing had started because of him.

"Whitney might just be trying to scare us, not really trying to hurt Mom and Dad."

He still didn't believe Whitney would actually kill someone; Whitney had clearly only come to teach him a lesson, but ended up losing her life because of it.

"I'm not like some bat that's always on guard against everyone."

But unlike you, I don't always place too much hope in others.

David ignored all that and bypassed Clark.

"A person filled with jealousy and anger is capable of anything."

When it comes to his parents, he will sever all ties, no matter how slight the possibility.

"David, didn't you say that Mom and Dad had ingested that metal and wouldn't die?"

Seeing that his brother was still perfectly fine, Clark said in a low voice, "Our parents are not in any danger at all. My brother is too cold-hearted and won't give Whitney a chance to live."

Snapped!

David paused as he walked toward the house, turned around, and locked his cold eyes onto Clark.

"Clark, what do you mean by that?"

His voice was neither slow nor fast, yet carried a sense of pressure, giving the impression that beneath the calm surface of the sea, a raging tide was surging.

"I……"

Clark's expression changed as he realized he had said something inappropriate without thinking.

“That’s not what I meant,” he tried to explain.

“I brought back the Dionysus factor for my parents so that I wouldn’t have to worry about something like what happened not long ago happening to them again.”

David took two steps closer and poked Clark's chest hard.

"Instead of letting your parents be fearless of any injury or fright, so that your saintly heart can have unlimited support, Clark!"

His brother's words, laced with anger, struck Clark like a heavy blow. After watching his brother go upstairs and leave, he felt dejected and scratched his head in frustration.

"Damn it, how could I have said those things?"

At the doorway, David frowned, glanced at Clark under the warehouse light, and shook his head.

Despite being more mature than his peers, Clark occasionally acts like an impulsive eighteen-year-old high school student.

……

Sunny morning.

Golden sunlight streamed into the windows of the ancient castle.

Sitting behind her desk, Aikins couldn't hide the smile on her face as she admired her stunning beauty in the mirror.

“My dear, even Helen, who sparked the Trojan War, would be ashamed of her beauty when she sees you.”

Luther stood by like a butler and praised him.

"If the ancient Greek hero Paris had met you, he would never have had the headache of deciding who to give the golden apple, which symbolized the most beautiful goddess!"

“You always have such a way with words, Lex.”

Aikins smiled gently.

After the chosen, bewitched bodyguard made a wish for her and Luther, her appearance and figure are now like God's most outstanding work of art, every part of her exuding beauty. Her voice is like the song of a siren, clear and melodious with a seductive charm that makes people's hearts itch.

Luther got what he wanted, and now his brain seemed to have another key opened up, like a spring that would never run dry, with all sorts of ingenious ideas and inventions about science constantly popping into his head.

"only……"

Aikins paused, a hint of regret flashing in her eyes.

It's a pity he's bald.

He wasn't exactly handsome, so the sweet nothings he was supposed to say were far less effective.

Even at this hour in the morning, Luther's bald head shining brightly by the window is so striking that it pulls one out of the scene and makes it impossible to immerse oneself in his affection.

"My charm can deceive others, but I can't force myself to do it."

Her eyes burned with desire; now that she had almost everything she wanted, she could start enjoying herself.
