The battlefield was littered with severed limbs, the stench of blood mingling with the smoke rising into the sky, and Kara's face showed discomfort, rejection, and disgust amidst the clouds.

"Joe Al and your father sent you and your cousin to this galaxy, where the Yellow Sun endowed you with godlike abilities."

But this is not Krypton, not your home!

With a wave of his hand, Hai'er teleported himself and her to a world filled with ice and snow.

Kara looked around, trying to figure out where she had been teleported to, but when she turned her head, she found that Hael's appearance had changed.

He was dressed in the clothes of a Kryptonian nobleman, with a handsome face and eyes like two flawless sapphires, exuding the air of a wise scholar who made people feel reliable without them noticing. This was completely different from his previous deathly pale skin and terrifying black eyes.

"This is how I am. If I wanted to appear with this face, I could have gained your trust."

Haier waved his hand and picked up a piece of ice from a distant iceberg, looking at his former self with sadness in his eyes.

His voice changed too; it was no longer as cold as a lonely dead star in a corner of space.

An energy crystal emitting a blue light was drawn from the very center of the world engine and flew into his hand.

Gazing at the light swirling inside the crystal like a deep nebula, a look of excited anticipation appeared on Haier's face.

"We've got the crystal; the first step to returning to the past has been achieved."

A cold voice came from the cold wind, and a figure appeared high in the sky. Hael and Kara looked up.
