When asked about Hal Jordan's question, Clark, who knew the most, answered.

That makes sense.

"You forgot that she introduced herself by saying she's thousands of years old," the Flash whispered.

Nations are insignificant on a timescale of millennia, and the UN Secretary-General, though a respected elder, is probably just a newborn baby in her eyes.

"David has never liked these kinds of occasions."

Clark continued.

He felt that David, like Diana, didn't value the medals solemnly awarded by the United Nations; he didn't need others to award him medals to recognize his worth.

"Arthur's reasons were vague, and he seemed to want to avoid the spotlight."

“As for Cyborg…” He paused, and The Flash finished his sentence.

"Steelbow cannot accept its own appearance for the time being."

Barry Allen, dressed in a red suit, was being watched by so many people, especially knowing that this scene would be broadcast globally. His palms were sweating and his voice was a little tense.

He had only ever helped the police catch petty thieves and robbers in Midtown before; he had never seen anything like this before.

"Think about it, his strange half-human, half-machine appearance appearing in front of the world will inevitably arouse public curiosity and discussion, which is equivalent to tearing open his wounds and showing them to the whole world."

When the poor Cyborg was mentioned, everyone fell silent.

"To be honest, it's really a bit unbelievable to me."

"You actually came. Before I saw you, I always thought you were a nocturnal bat vampire who could only survive in the dark."

After a few seconds, Hal Jordan looked at Batman on the other side with a mocking expression.

"I'm tired of having to be on guard against police shooting me in the back while I'm arresting criminals in the city."

Bruce Wayne spoke in a deep voice, his face expressionless.

On numerous occasions, he has dodged criminals' punches and narrowly escaped police bullets. Although he has saved countless people in Gotham, he remains a dangerous fugitive in Gotham, just like the criminals he has arrested and defeated.

Receiving this UN medal of honor will save him some trouble.

"We will announce our team name to the world in a moment."

Hal Jordan lowered his voice and asked quietly.

"Have you decided what the first thing you'll do after our Justice League officially debuts?"

After that day, the group discussed team names over a secret communication channel, but they couldn't come up with a good one.

David felt their discussion was completely unnecessary; could they possibly escape the name of the Justice League in the end?

He simply brought it up directly to avoid Clark constantly tagging him in the channel asking for his advice.

After the name Justice League was chosen, everyone agreed that it reflected the team's original purpose, was concise yet powerful, and so the team name was decided.

The alliance initially has eight members, and new members can be added if needed later.

Although David said he only wanted to be a figurehead, no one would actually list the main force that had saved the world many times, the strongest among them, as a figurehead member.

"Wait until the awards ceremony is over."

The UN Secretary-General seems to have something he wants us to do.

Batman knew that once the alliance was formed, the world's attention would likely be focused on them, so the first thing they had to do was to do it beautifully and perfectly, and they couldn't just solve a small problem casually.

"Secretary General?" Hal Jordan was taken aback.

What would the Secretary-General, representing the United Nations, ask them to do?

The United Nations’ primary responsibilities are to prevent war, maintain international peace and security, and act as a lubricant and mediator to maintain friendly relations between countries. The tasks requested of them are necessarily related to these responsibilities.

"Is there any place that's been unsettled lately? The Middle East?"

When it comes to wars that are still happening in the modern world, it's hard not to think of the Middle East.

"I saw on the news that a country in the Middle East called Kandak seems to have a new ruler."

He unified the entire territory in three days, acting ruthlessly and domineeringly. Upon taking power, he immediately declared war on several neighboring countries, vowing to make those who had oppressed and annexed Kandak for millennia pay a bloody price!

Clark frowned.

"They seem to call him—Black Adam!"

……

In the small town of Smallville, warm sunshine streamed down the road, and a gentle breeze blew – a beautiful morning.

In the morning, his mother Martha gave him a shopping list, and David leisurely drove the family's red pickup truck to town to shop.

Although he could finish everything in an instant with his speed, there was no need for such a fuss, sometimes life moves too fast and we miss many beautiful sights along the way.

"Zizzizi..."

Suddenly, the car radio stopped playing melodious music and started crackling with static, while strange symbols flashed across the screen displaying song titles.

After fiddling with it for a while without any improvement, David raised an eyebrow and sat up in the car seat, as a force descended and enveloped him.

"Does trouble automatically come knocking on your door even when you're at home?"

He absorbed that power.

Unlike the smooth absorption of physical energy such as kinetic and thermal energy, this process was slightly more difficult, much like the divine power of Ares that he had absorbed before, but slightly inferior.

"magic?"

David thought of a kind of energy.

A type of energy that he could absorb but had never seen before.

Another surge of magical energy descended from the void and was absorbed by him once more. He slammed on the brakes, pulled the pickup truck over to the side of the road, and wondered who was behind this.

Having expended a tremendous amount of magic—enough for an ordinary wizard—and still failed to bring the person to him, the wizard, existing in a dimension other than the present world, coughed, clutching his heavily injured chest, feeling a sense of helplessness and bitterness.

"Those who transcend, do not resist."

"My strength is waning. I await you at the Rock of Eternity; humanity needs your protection."

An old and weak voice came from the car radio.

"The Rock of Eternity?"

David frowned when he heard someone call him "The Superman" in a normal setting.

But upon hearing the words "Eternal Rock," he immediately thought of something.

"Shazam?"

The Rock of Eternity is the base of the Eternal Council. It was there that Shazam, known as the Magic Superman, was chosen by wizards to receive his power and become Captain Marvel, possessing the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the fearless body of Agrippa, the speed of Mercury, and the lightning of Zeus!

"In this current timeline, the last wizard should not have encountered Billy Batson yet, and is still searching for his successor..."

What is he doing to himself?

David's eyes lit up, and he decided to go and take a look.

He no longer resisted, allowing the magical power to surround and teleport him.

When I opened my eyes again, I saw an ancient and sacred hall, its former glory gone, the floor littered with rubble and charred marks like those left by lightning.

"Let me introduce you to the Transcendent."

Or rather, David Kent.

The elderly wizard, with his white hair, struggled to maintain his dignity as he sat on the stone throne, supporting himself with his scepter. His red wizard robes appeared to have been torn by lightning, revealing his bloodied and mangled body beneath. His voice was weak and intermittent.

"This is the Rock of Eternity, the greatest magical fortress in history. I am the last member of the Eternal Council and the guardian of humanity."

"It seems there has just been a major battle here?"

David glanced around at the cold, desolate hall, his nostrils filled with a mixture of sulfurous and acrid smells from burning air, and slowly began to speak.

The wizard was taken aback, seemingly not expecting David to react this way.

David knew all of this, so why was he surprised?

"That's exactly what I'm telling you."

The wizard was silent for a few seconds, then looked around.

"I have summoned you to inherit my power and face the impending crisis for humanity!"

"I?"

……

"It happened on an ordinary morning. I woke up in bed and was about to wash up."

I opened the door, but I didn't step into my living room.

Instead, it was a place resembling an ancient castle, cold and deathly silent, filled with all sorts of strange objects.

In the dimly lit office, on the screen, a woman recounts a bizarre incident she recently encountered via video call, her voice filled with bewilderment.

“An old man with a full white beard sat on a cold throne. He called himself a wizard and was looking for a pure-hearted person to inherit his power... Some grotesque statues stood beside the stone hall.”

Do you remember what happened after that?
