"Anyone who stands in the way of General Zod and thwarts the resurrection of Krypton shall be destroyed!"

Inside a brand-new suit of armor, Fiora, covered in dust and dirt, had a raging fire burning in her eyes as she swung her fist. The powerful force pressed the air down as if it were solid!

Of all the Kryptonians, only Fiora, besides Zod, was qualified to activate the World Engine and had the ability to quickly master the newly emerged power. She used Moon Dust to wipe the Kryptonite solution off her face, changed into a new suit of armor, launched herself into space, and followed the three of them.

Bang!

The shockwave exploded, and David easily caught her punch.

However, the meteorite solution was ineffective because of the new suit of armor that isolated him from the outside world. He frowned, fired cosmic energy from his hand to send Fiora flying, intending to fly towards Zod.

Unlike Fiora, Zod's armor hood was already broken, so he only needed to go up and subdue him.

But Fiora turned in mid-air and attacked again, relentlessly clinging to him, while on the other side, Clark and Zod fought further and further apart, with Clark trying to lure Zod out of the city.

"Do you need any help?"

Suddenly, a deep, resonant voice rang out. On the rooftop of a tall building, a massive bat-shaped suit of armor, nearly three meters tall, with thick limbs, seemed to contain boundless power.

"Batman?"

The armor's style resembled a wingless bat, fierce and grotesque, reminiscent of the word "monster." David immediately recognized whose style it was.

"No need, this guy is not someone that ordinary people can handle."

Catching Fiora's attack, he delivered an even heavier punch, sending her flying dozens of meters away, a polite way of refusing her advances.

"How will you know if you don't try."

Bruce Wayne maneuvered his armor, launched a bat grappling hook, and locked one of Fiora's legs as he flew towards David again. With a sharp tug, the Kryptonian Fiora was pulled by the powerful force towards him on the rooftop.

138. Chapter 137 The Death of Zod

David raised an eyebrow when he saw that the giant battle armor Batman was using had actually shaken Fiora.

Bang!

Fiora was violently pulled away by the bat hook, but with her superb agility, she threw a punch from below, the terrifying force compressing the air into a tangible mass, creating layers upon layers of shockwaves.

But the giant mech was like a seasoned martial arts master, moving with incredible speed and imposing strength. It deflected her attack, then swung its fist and smashed her hard onto the rooftop.

"who are you?"

The entire building shook. Fiora frowned and unleashed a heat vision from her eyes, striking the mecha's chest. The powerful impact forced the mecha back, but it did not cause any substantial damage.

"The strength of the alloy used to forge this mech is almost comparable to that of Kryptonian armor."

Moreover, this armor reminded her of David, who could also absorb energy.

"An Earthling."

Fiora assumed that yet another non-native life form had gotten involved, but the bat responded coldly and concisely, spewing power flames from the back of its mech and raising its massive fist to strike at Fiora.

Bang!

Breaking the sound barrier, it flew into the distance, chasing after Zod and Clark. In mid-air, David glanced back one last time before withdrawing his gaze.

"Prometheus Metal, Fenrir Armor..."

The familiar scene of the mech absorbing thermal vision made him realize that the material of Batman's mech was the same as the material of the Zero armor used by the military to deal with him.

They are all Prometheus metals, with the majority being consumable doped and variable types.

With its powerful capabilities and unique design, capable of directly confronting Kryptonians, David was reminded of one of Batman's few powerful suits of armor in the comics—the Fenrir armor.

"Although the armor is not complete, it should be able to hold off Fiora for a short time."

He sped across the city.

Fenrir, a monster in Norse mythology that devoured Odin, the king of the gods, is the name of Batman's high-tech armor, one of the means prepared specifically to counter the Justice League's loss of control. It not only has defenses against Superman's power and red solar rays targeting Kryptonians' weaknesses, but also a system for calculating and capturing the Flash's trajectory and creating environmental illusions to confuse Wonder Woman.

Although it's certainly not fully complete right now, and is just a prototype of the armor, it definitely has the basic capabilities.

As for how Bruce Wayne obtained the military's top-secret Prometheus metal, David wasn't curious at all; it must have been Batman's boring money-making ability.

He took out a spare kryptonite solution from his waist and applied it to his hands.

Bang!

On the edge of the city, two figures, whose silhouettes were barely visible, were locked in a fierce battle. The shockwaves from their clashes shattered the windows of the surrounding buildings, and the crowd below fled in terror, covering their heads.

“Kal El, you are also a Kryptonian. As long as we have the Central Codex, we can rebuild the destroyed Krypton.”

Zod's fists rained down like a storm. Why was Jor-El's son, who was clearly a Kryptonian, helping Earth and these Earthlings who had nothing in common with Kryptonians except for their appearance?

"You traitor! Do you even know that your ability to resist me is all thanks to Krypton!"

He grabbed a steel beam from the rooftop construction site, and with a piercing whistling sound, lashed it at Clark.

"All I know is that I grew up on Earth. My parents adopted me, an orphan from outer space. They gave me warmth, educated me into adulthood, and cared for my thoughts even more than they cared for my younger brother, their own son."

The scorching heat instantly melted the steel beam into molten iron droplets, and Clark shouted angrily.

"You want to destroy the Earth and start a massacre? I will never allow it!"

He mustered all his strength and blasted Zod away.

Zod was sent flying backward, manipulating his bio-field to stabilize himself. He raised his fist like a fully drawn bow, ready to fight again, but a figure flew in from another direction with great force. Zod saw the green on David's hands, his eyes widened in shock and anger, and he turned to run away.

A powerful gravitational field bound his body, making him feel as if he were trapped in quagmire, and his lightning-fast movements became sluggish.

"Zod, let's stop here!"

Earth will always be the world of Earthlings!

"No!"

The figure of purple light shot towards them like a meteor, and Zod roared in anger and fear.

As a warrior, he was never afraid of death, but if he died, Krypton would be completely destroyed, with no possibility of rebuilding.

Krypton, my people!

I am going to kill you! "

With no way to avoid it, Zod, filled with grief and resentment, threw a punch with ferocious killing intent.

Why did God prevent him from rebuilding Krypton?

Kal-El is Jor-El's son. He thought that the plan to rebuild Krypton would be blocked by him. Kal-El is much stronger than the average Kryptonian, which did not surprise him.

The only variable that shouldn't have appeared is the person in front of me!

On this weak planet, besides the orphans of Krypton, why has such a powerful, unknown race of life emerged?

Bang!

David and Zod punched each other in the head.

Zod was as if it had been hit by a cannonball, piercing through a building and landing on the ground of another street, creating a crater-like depression.

"The powerless wails of the loser."

David remained unmoved as he gazed at Zod, who was bleeding from all seven orifices and suffering a severe concussion in the distance, and spoke slowly.

“How disgraceful, Zod.”

Zod, barely breathing, saw a blood-red blur before his eyes. Hearing David's mocking words, a weak, unwilling glint flashed in his eyes as he tried to rise again, but his head drooped limply, and he stopped breathing.

The radiation from the kryptonite solution hit Zod the moment the two approached, stripping him of his power and rendering him unable to withstand another punch from David.

Krypton's former supreme military commander died on a strange alien planet, killed by a young life form with a single punch.

Is he dead?

Clark flew over, looking at Zod's body through the large hole that pierced the building with a slightly complicated expression.

Although Zod wanted to slaughter Earth, it was for the sake of Krypton. He could truly feel Zod's loyalty and love for the Kryptonians, but he, as a Kryptonian, stood on the opposite side and destroyed his hope.

"What you just said was very powerful."

“But I don’t agree that your parents are more concerned about your thoughts. You’re the one who makes them worry too much.”

David looked at Clark, who was flying over, and patted him on the shoulder. Clark was a little uncomfortable, coughed, and looked away. He didn't expect David to hear him when he said that.

"General!"

Batman's Fenrir armor was not yet fully complete. He could briefly hold his own against Fiora, but when she unleashed her super speed, he was caught off guard and Fiora escaped and caught up with him.

Upon seeing Zod's corpse, Fiora was incredulous and, filled with grief and rage, launched a furious attack.

"I demand that you pay for the general's life!"

Along with Zod, the Kryptonians' hope of rebuilding Krypton also perished.

David and Clark rushed up and attacked together, along with Batman who had caught up. The three of them quickly broke through her armor, ending with David punching her in the face.

Bang!

Fiora fell unconscious to the ground.

He didn't kill Zod as he had, just as he had shown mercy to other Kryptonians before.

David also needed these people to provide him with emotional support.
