But Samuel held it, and pale snow replaced the raging rain clouds. When the giant and the "celestial realm" appeared on the ice, the black "flesh and blood" wrapped around it surged and seeped out wisps of smoke. Thick thoughts surged in like mountains and seas.
“We have seen torrential rains that have lasted for millions of years, slumbering beneath glaciers, and escaping from the edge of lava.”
"The air changed, and an entire lineage was reduced to a single branch; the ocean changed, and corpses floated in the tides day and night."
“We are discarded, sacrificed to new life.”
"What's the point of saying that 'Earth' will remember us?"
Veins wrapped around the giant's arm: "We will remember you too. Please, like us, live inside the evolution stone?"
The moment the bronze bell and the giant disappeared, the clouds dispersed and the rain stopped.
Its daybreak.
The atmosphere on the street suddenly relaxed, and Kinoshita Kei felt full of energy.
"Wow, that's awesome! The best in the world!" He placed a burned man onto a bicycle that had just been forcibly repaired. It was forcibly repaired because when they saw the bicycle, it had a broken wheel and was "stuck" to a telephone pole by the wind.
A bike is good as long as the chain isn't broken!
When the whole city is stuck in traffic, what's the best option? Non-motorized vehicles! Imagine sitting immobile in your car, watching helplessly as cyclists or electric bike riders, whistling, weave through the gaps in the traffic like grains of sand slipping through the air, their crisp bells evoking the leisurely mood of a spring outing. Compared to the stifling feeling of being stuck in the car, you'd want to crawl under it, grab the metal shell beneath you, and run away.
The burned man was dragged out of the car, which looked like it was melting, by him and several other men. They carefully avoided his wounds, hoping to get him to the hospital as quickly as possible. People around him rushed to help, trying to get a stretcher or something to carry him. One of the men simply carried the bicycle over, while the others brought wrenches and hammers, and together they managed to pry the oval-shaped front wheel back into a round shape.
Kinoshita Kei didn't have the brute strength of his older brothers, so he volunteered to transport the injured man to the hospital. After confirming that he knew the way, the older brothers handed the man over to him and went off to carry the others in a chaotic manner.
The bicycle's front wheel was irregularly round, making the ride bumpy, like crunching on a gravel road. The person behind him had a patch of smeared flesh on his arms and thighs, with tissue fluid seeping out. He was holding onto Kinoshita Kei's waist with one of his still-mobile arms.
"Why isn't it raining anymore? It hurts so much..." the person behind mumbled. Afraid of hurting Kinoshita Kei, he only gripped the hem of his clothes, his knuckles turning white from the twisting.
A storm is never a good thing, but he looked forward to it so that the burns wouldn't be so unbearable. Now the rain has stopped and the clouds have dispersed, but the wounds still feel like they're burning, unwilling to leave.
“If it doesn’t rain, it means we’re going to win,” Kinoshita Kei comforted him, his feet moving like the wind. “I know you’re hurting from the jolting, just bear with it, we’re at the hospital right away!”
There was silence behind me.
Half of his face was intact, while the other half, with its upper and lower eyelids twisted and stuck together, leaned against his back.
“…You can sleep for a while if you want, but you must wake up when I call you.” Kinoshita Kei gripped the handlebars and increased the speed of pedaling.
"bass--"
He hadn't ridden far when he slammed on the brakes, simultaneously putting one foot on the ground to bring the bicycle to a stop even faster. Cold sweat beaded on his forehead, and he could barely control the trembling of his hands.
The sky cleared, but the effects of the "celestial realm" did not disappear immediately. The atmosphere in the city, which had been altered by it, had not yet been fully exchanged and integrated with the outside world. In other words, ancient creatures were still drawn to this place.
After a brief moment of distraction, Kinoshita Kei immediately turned the car around ninety degrees and headed down another road.
A thick, long tail landed where he had just stood. The ancient creature emerged from the ground, looking like a fossil that had just been resurrected, with most of its body still a pale skeleton.
"Is this the 'redemption' you've been waiting for?" Gaia questioned the blue giant: "Fujimiya!"
The rolling sea of clouds gradually dissipated as the "celestial realm" was brought into Meta's domain, allowing the two giants who had been fighting due to their differences to see the scene in the city.
The main roads were completely blocked, burning vehicles were scattered everywhere, and rising hot smoke distorted the surrounding air. Sirens and horns were heard everywhere. This was only the downtown area that Samuel could take care of when "Heaven" unleashed the hurricane. Further away, the outer ring of the city, cut by the wind blades that fell from the sky, was covered with crisscrossing scars.
More ancient creatures are heading into the city, hoping to reclaim the territory they once inhabited, starting from here.
Gaia turned and flew toward the monsters approaching the city. This time, Agul didn't stop him, but just stared at the devastation, lost in thought.
……
"Celestial Realm" is still working in the Meta Realm as well.
The extreme cold and snow covered it with a layer of ice, but it did not stop operating inside. The dark "flesh and blood" throbbed incessantly, and Samuel could even hear the sound of them wriggling. The scarlet veins throbbed in his palm.
The program ran tirelessly, and the oxygen content in the small space Samuel had created rose sharply.
Being so close to the enemy is a perfect opportunity to unleash a beam of light! With no fear of the city being affected, Samuel didn't hesitate.
Energy converged and compressed within the timer, a deep blue light carrying silver radiance bursting forth where the two met. The powerful impact made it difficult for the giant to grasp it, and the bronze bell struck the spatial barrier with a thunderous roar like rolling steel.
The solid outer shell of the "Celestial Realm" was finally cracked open, and the light flow melted its outer structure and cut into it along the crack, like a flood breaking down a dam with a breach.
The aggregates of resentment it absorbed from ancient beings dissipated. These conceptual things had no complete physical form and were indifferent to the sudden rise in temperature within Meta's domain to that of a blue star's surface. They spread out and quickly occupied the entire space.
Samuel knew they longed for a true "resurrection." Pito claimed to be a superior planet, loving its children but showing no favoritism to any one. The resentment of the ancient beings would never receive a response from Earth; Pito would convey regret, reluctance, and longing, but it would never summon the spirits of those who had already perished.
Samuel hadn't expected to find himself doing his old job of "assimilation" here. These resentful aggregates had nowhere to go, and he couldn't simply dispel the domain and let them spread outwards. Samuel had only one choice: either like "Xun" devouring the Primordial Nest as a sacrifice, or like absorbing the memories of the alien beasts from the River of Oblivion in the Land of the End, he could make these things a part of himself.
He melted down the last remnants of the "celestial realm," turning the intricate metal structure—enough to amaze even the planet's top scholars—into molten iron.
The black mist swirled and churned, like a traveler who had walked too long in the night and finally saw a bright light.
Having lost their anchor, they surged into another open embrace.
No updates during the day, but updates tonight.
The company had an important meeting. It took all that work to wrap things up.
My life is more important, so I won't stay up all night coding. I have to get up at 6:30 to go to the venue. (Afraid of suddenly dying.jpg)
Then I'll have time to write after the meeting in the evening, so there will be an update tonight.

Chapter Fifty-Six: The Sky's Response
The air was filled with a sweet, fishy smell, coming from the stranger in the back seat, mixed with the burnt smell of charred tissue.
"Faster, faster, faster!" Kinoshita Kei pedaled the bike with all his might. He dared to say that he had never pushed himself this hard, not even when he was on the verge of the college entrance exam. His hands, gripping the handlebars, trembled slightly, whether from excitement or fear, but the fabric of his clothes kept him warm.
"That's good," Kinoshita Kei thought. "It means the burned person behind him is still alive, even though he can no longer speak clearly to Kinoshita Kei."
The ancient creature that emerged from the ground almost crushed them into pancakes. In the critical moment, Kinoshita Kei darted into the alley with a series of serpentine movements. The not-so-intelligent giant was only concerned with what was in front of him, rumbling and crushing several buildings, but he didn't notice the people who were fleeing.
Billboards, broken windows with only frames remaining, half or several bricks stuck together—all sorts of odds and ends rained down on the road behind the bicycle. Kinoshita Kei didn't know if the guy behind him had been hit. He didn't have time to look back; he could only mutter to himself, hoping to hear a response.
"Hey bro? Dude! Ever seen a bike drift? You're in the best viewing spot right now!" Kinoshita Kei muttered, his forehead covered in cold sweat: "Pah, you've got sand in your mouth... Radish, radish, I'm cabbage! I'll answer you if I hear you! Wake up, your girlfriend ran off with your sister-in-law!"
The ground shook as if he had Parkinson's disease. He heard Gaia's cries, the rattling of machine guns, and the monster's roar, which sounded like it came from some kind of grotesque horror movie.
The already uneven wheels jolted Kinoshita Kei so much that he thought he was about to be launched into the air. When he came to his senses, he was already lying on the ground, with the car body pressing down on one of his legs.
"Hey, hey buddy!" He scrambled to free his leg, turned to look at the person in the back seat, and nearly snapped his own neck: "Are you alright? You can't die, buddy!"
But my friend's once white, no, now black belly has a crack in it, where it's charred. After a heavy fall, the outer shell broke open, and yellow and red stuff is oozing out from inside.
The red giant is fighting a monster, while the blue giant, on the other side of the city, is all bark and no bite, but his actions speak louder than words, taking down kids with a single strike. Samuel, meanwhile, has disappeared with that crazy cloud in the sky.
The big shots all had their own things to do. Kinoshita Kei held the old man's head in his hands, knowing that he was all alone here.
The guy looked young, but his hairline was receding quite dangerously, probably a typical office worker who stays up all night. His clothes were smudged and his white shirt was stained black and yellow, but he was clearly dressed in a suit and tie, the color of which was quite nice – obviously carefully chosen. In the back seat, he spoke weakly in a Kansai accent about his old-fashioned father, perhaps getting pushed to the limit and letting his native dialect slip out. He was dressed very politely, which didn't suit the kind of dialect usually spoken by bold or boisterous people on TV.
Word.
Kinoshita Kei hates it when fellow villagers treat him; it usually means he's being beaten up, or has just been beaten up and is on his way to be beaten up again.
But now he desperately hopes that his fellow villager can appear by his side and, just like he treated him, give this unconscious person a large vial of light, so that after taking it, he can be revived on the spot and his body can be rejuvenated.
"Fellow countryman, come save me..." This head is too heavy. It is said that the head accounts for about 7.7% of the body weight. Kinoshita Kei felt that it was not his problem, but that this person was too heavy, or rather, that life was too heavy.
He looked around, hoping an ambulance would appear out of nowhere. He looked up, hoping that Gaia would glance at him while she was busy, just like when Ultraman in the TV series rescued people, carrying them in his arms and transporting them to a safe place.
Kinoshita Kei dared not continue carrying this guy. What if the wound reopened? Wouldn't the man be considered dead at his hands? But the Ultra Warrior could. He only needed to notice the two people slumped in the middle of the road, bend down, gently place them in his palm, take a few more steps, and put them at the entrance of a nearby hospital—and this guy would be saved!
But they are not the only ones in the city facing such difficulties.
There are too many people in need of help, and heroes with superpowers cannot match their numbers to provide a kind and thoughtful one-on-one rescue.
"Dude? Dude! You still haven't told me how your stubborn old man beat you! How did you embarrass yourself at the company's annual party? What perfume is your female boss wearing today? Hey! Hey! Say something!" In TV dramas, they always shake the heads of unconscious people like rattles. If Kinoshita Kei were to do that, he might shake someone to death. He crawled forward a little, using his body to block the pebbles that were falling from the sky from time to time.
Ancient creatures had no martial ethics; several beasts ganged up on one of them—they were practically inhuman!
But Kinoshita Kei wasn't in the mood to appreciate the special effects blockbuster.
"No! My legs are about to break from all the kicking, and you're dead!" he wailed, his voice like a pig being slaughtered. "Fellow villager! Gaia! Nurse Angel! Anyone at all! Just don't fucking die!"
"Right, right! Salty Fish King, you dog Earth! Where have you been! Your child is dying, hurry up and show yourself!" He saw the red giant get hit hard on the head by a monster with pincers, and then a strange thing with a head and a flower bud-like shape crashed into it from behind, causing the rubble and cement blocks on the ground to shake.
The wind, carrying dust, kept lashing at them, and their clothes, not yet completely dry, were covered with another layer of dust. The crack on the man's stomach was partially covered by dust, no longer appearing so alarmingly red.
“Brother…” Kinoshita Kei’s voice trembled: “I was born under the red flag and grew up in the sunshine. I’ve never even killed a chicken. I’ve never seen a boss chop it up and sell it to me. Don’t scare me. If you scare me, I won’t make any money…”
He called out to everyone he could think of who he could ask for help, and finally remembered himself: "Uranus! Uranus! Uranus!"
"Didn't Salty Fish say you were on me? Didn't the fellow villager say you were waking up? Please wake up now, old man, and we can finish this job by taking this person to the hospital. It's just a matter of walking a few steps!" He was so anxious that his eyes were red. Fortunately, everyone was busy running for their lives and no one noticed this lunatic who was holding someone in the middle of the road.
"Wrong incantation? Uranus! The key that hides the power of the sky, the Ruyi Divine Sword that cuts in two, the White Emperor's Holy Sword—follow me as I enumerate your sins, ptooey, that's not right... Your father is going to become the Pirate King, I'll stand in the heavens..."
"You little brat! Wake up, you son of a bitch!" He felt something enter his mouth, not sure if it was sweat or something else. He stopped speaking Japanese and instead blurted out Mu Xiajing's hometown dialect, like a brave warrior heading out of Sichuan with a machete to fight the Japanese. His throat was torn, and the sound was squeezed out of the dry tube.
The stones, which had been tumbling around due to the earthquake, began to float into the air.
"Om-"
A bluish light appeared, obediently covering the open wound on the man's stomach, and his breathing became strong and almost imperceptible.
"Holy crap..." Kinoshita Kei's literary skills were not high. He was so happy that he wanted to hug and kiss the ball of light. It seemed that a voice told him that the emergency treatment was over and it was perfectly fine to send him to the hospital now!
"Get on, get on, get on!" He used all his strength to drag the person back to the back seat, and the wobbly bicycle set off again.
Chapter Fifty-Seven: Different Stances
The reconstruction work following this once-in-a-century super typhoon is underway. Search and rescue operations have concluded, and our heavy machinery has arrived and is currently clearing the rubble. President Hojo, how long will it take your company to clear this area?
[Let's see how long the machine can last.]
