Ultraman Legend of the Light Chaser

The people in the hot spring pool watched warily as the men in black stormed in through the main gate.
They outnumbered the men and had a "weapon" that could knock people unconscious with a single glare. Several tattooed men in the men's bath stepped forward to fight back, but were instantly turned into a lump of dead flesh by the white light and dragged to a recliner by the men in black.
Baolu Cao and Junping were surprised to find that the person they met last night who called himself "Aiba Yu" was also mixed in with the men in black.
"You are... um!"
A tremendous sense of crisis compelled Jun Sakuma to quickly pull out his memory eraser; he dared say he had never reacted so fast before.
"My senior mentioned in the car that he had insomnia and was feeling listless last night," Shintaro Hirata said, making no attempt to hide his admiration. "But he's still so efficient and effective when it comes to work!"
"Ah, ah..." Jun Sakuma responded casually, while pulling Horokusa and Junpei out of the pool to prevent them from choking on water while unconscious.
He was afraid that the three photographers might say something strange in front of the memory police, so he was very proactive when Shudo Saya issued the mission: "Commander Shudo, I want to go to the hot spring town. The satellite city is too far away. Although there are many targets in the hot spring town, it won't delay my trip back to pick up Karin from school!"
Shuto Saya nodded in agreement.
Sakuma Jun breathed a sigh of relief. "Karin, Dad is using you as an excuse again."
Bao Lucao and Runping encountered the Memory Police, and Qixia was not spared either.
She walked to the porch to get some fresh air when she suddenly heard the sound of leather shoes tapping on the wooden floor.
A girl wearing a pale yellow shirt and a black suit is raising her hand as if to greet me.
"What's up?" How do you greet someone while holding something?
"Buzz—" Their vision was enveloped in white light. Nonomiya Mizuki stepped forward and helped the unconscious Nanatsu up, whispering, "I'm sorry."
……
Himeya Jun wondered if he was dreaming.
Otherwise, why would a strange little girl be standing by his bedside when he woke up, curiously poking the Evolution Truster?
“Just like ‘stone’.” Being good-looking isn’t fun at all. Huali pouted, then saw the man her lying father had gotten drunk last night wake up. She rushed out, shouting, “That uncle’s awake! Dad, apologize to him quickly!”
It was already the second night. Jun Sakuma hadn't rested for almost two days and felt like he was about to have a nervous breakdown.
Samuel, on the other hand, was fast asleep in his consciousness space.
"I need to sleep a few more days and not bother you, so I won't have to 'work overtime' at night," Jun Sakuma thought bitterly.
Karin confirmed that her father had lied about working overtime and was actually at an izakaya (Japanese pub). Under the bewildered gaze of Himeya Jun, Sakuma Jun had no choice but to apologize repeatedly in front of Karin.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, my colleagues and I made you drink too much last night. I don't know where you live, so I can only take you to my place to rest."
Huali nodded solemnly: "Uncle, I'm sorry, it was my dad who made a mistake. He apologizes to you, Uncle!"
After the little girl finished speaking, she bowed. It was the first time that Jun Himeya had seen this scene. He replied, "It's okay," and then looked blankly at Jun Sakuma, the stranger who had called himself "Samuel" last time.
Jun Sakuma pushed Karin out: "Uncle must be hungry since he hasn't had dinner yet. Dad, heat up the food. Go do your homework!"
"Oh, Dad, you can't force people to drink anymore!"
"No, I won't drink."
Karin went back to her room to struggle with her homework, while Jun Sakuma slammed the door shut. He exchanged a glance with Karin, who was already in the living room and looking dazed, as if they could smell the awkwardness in the air.
"Well, anyway, this is my home..." Jun Sakuma said, trying to ease the awkward atmosphere while checking the temperature of the dishes on the table.
Himeya Jun nodded: "Thank you." He had seen this person before and even spoken to him, but Himeya Jun always felt something was off. His behavior was different before and after, as if the person he had spoken to last time was a different person.
“Well… in a sense we’re in the same line of work,” Jun Sakuma explained, stuffing a half-cut pork cutlet into the microwave. “The person you were talking to last night was Samuel, also an Ultra Warrior.”
So, people actually dream about ruins? Jun Himeya subconsciously assumed that the person in front of him, like himself, had gained unknown light through a strange dream.
"Your physical condition is not good right now, so you should rest more. That alien beast has been eliminated, so there's no need to worry too much."
Jun Sakuma was terrified that this reckless guy in front of him would suddenly burst into the air.
He went out to hunt down alien beasts, but his superiors discovered that he was guilty of "harboring a mission target." The TLT guys gathered a bunch of random people and tied him up. He could only greet the "white-clad spittoons" after he woke up.
Therefore, he needed to reassure Jun Himeya: "Your spaceship is damaged. When we found it, we were afraid it would attract attention, so we buried it somewhere..."
Himeya Jun's expression froze for a moment.
Jun Sakuma continued, "The TLT people are looking for you. My house is relatively safe, so you can stay here and recover in peace."
Chapter Thirty-Seven: Himeya Jun's Deceptive Day (Bonus Chapter 14)
The sudden change in environment made Himeya Jun very uncomfortable.
Just a few days ago, I was eating sand and drinking cold water in the deep mountains and forests, but today I'm holding a bowl of beef rice and watching the news on TV about the "fireworks transport vehicle exploding in the hot spring street".
The wound on his arm hadn't healed yet, so Jun Sakuma used his bandaging skills, which he hadn't used in years, to wrap his arm into a cocoon. When Samuel used his energy to heal him, he muttered, "The top of your spaceship is cracked," which dispelled his idea of summoning Stonewing and leaving.
The girl named Karin involuntarily reminded him of Sera, but Karin's hidden thoughts were far more complex than Sera's always innocent smile, for example...
"Uncle?" The little girl, holding her workbook, peeked out from behind her bedroom door. After looking around and not finding her father, she tiptoed out and handed him the workbook.
Huali lowered her voice, glancing back every now and then, "Uncle, this problem... should we add first and then multiply, or multiply first and then add? What number do we get?"
Jun Himeya's mind was still a bit sluggish from the battle with the Dark Giant.
Karin thought he was unwilling to answer, so she took out a piece of konpeito wrapped in clear cellophane from her pocket: "I'll trade you this for a question, one candy for one question?"
A mouthful of cooked rice got stuck in his throat. Jun Himeya swallowed it with difficulty and looked down at the seemingly undercooked rice grains. The appearance was not bad, but in terms of details—it was indeed the kind of food a single father would make.
The little girl beside me quietly pulled out another piece of candy: "Two candies for one question?"
Exquisite candies dangled before my eyes: "Three, three candies a day... no more than that!"
"Ah," Himeya Jun picked up the soup bowl and took a sip, finally feeling some relief from the discomfort in his throat. "Let me look at the questions."
"Hehe." Huali laughed and placed three candies on the side of the bowl.
"Haven't learned basic arithmetic yet?" Hmm, this miso soup is a bit too sweet...
“I learned it,” Huali whispered, “but I forgot it. I’ve been forgetting things lately, and I’m even slower at memorizing poems.”
"If you forget something, go back to your notes and learn it again instead of asking others for the answer!"
A huge black shadow loomed over the little girl in the white dress, who visibly trembled, grabbed her workbook, and darted into her room, her ponytail swaying behind her head: "I didn't come out just now, you saw the wrong dad!"
"Bang"!
The fluffy ball hanging on the doorknob wobbled, and the string got tangled together.
"I'll teach you after I finish cleaning up the kitchen. You do your other homework first! Don't bother your Uncle Himeya."
"Oh—" came a drawn-out sound from inside the door.
"Karin just got back from her trip a while ago, and she's still thinking about it," Jun Sakuma said, looking down at the table full of miso soup. "Hmm... not to my liking?"
Himeya Jun looked up, intending to say a few polite words, but saw that Sakuma Jun across from him suddenly changed his expression: "Don't you know how much salt you put in your own dishes?"
Samuel, who had crawled outside, peeked at the remaining rice grains in the bowl and clicked his tongue: "Giving a patient undercooked rice, you've got some nerve, Chun."
Jun Himeya put down his chopsticks and leaned back.
Then the person opposite him changed his expression to one of anger: "Don't suddenly kick me down again, you impolite 'monster'! Is this rice undercooked? I didn't notice, it was chewy and perfect."
“That means your sense of taste is ruined.” With another change in expression, “Sakuma Jun” reached out to take away the overly salty miso soup.
Himeya Jun pushed the bowl forward to make it easier for the other person to hold.
However, Jun Sakuma's hand, which was reaching for the bowl, froze in mid-air, sometimes extending forward and sometimes retracting, as if something was sawing his joints. Jun Himeya could vaguely hear the groaning of his elbow joint.
"Ahhh... Stop it! You can't just throw away all my hard work like this!" His left hand gripped his right, trembling wildly.
"Are you really not afraid that the patient will die in front of you if you make him drink this stuff?" He stepped forward and touched the rim of the bowl.
Himeya Jun's hand, which had been on the table, was now under the table. His right arm, which was still free to move, was wrapped around his left hand, which was wrapped up like a dumpling. Subconsciously, he leaned his body closer to the back of the chair.
If he weren't afraid of being impolite, he would have moved his chair to a more distant spot.
"I've reduced the amount of salt this time, and it's up to standard!"
"The person I went through so much trouble to save cannot die from your cooking!"
"I was the one who bandaged his wounds; you can't ignore my efforts!"
"Therefore, we cannot allow you to run rampant..."
The hand, frozen in mid-air, stopped, then suddenly clenched into a fist and pointed at itself: "Who are you calling misbehaving? Watch your words!"
Jun Himeya's eyes were somewhat glazed over.
“Come on, let the patient take care of you,” Samuel kicked the body’s owner into the consciousness space and slammed the floor with another kick, then said to the stunned Himeya Jun, “Ignore him, if you don’t like it, don’t drink it.”
It was indeed very salty, Himeya Jun nodded, however
Then his gaze fell on the undercooked beef rice.
“Speak up boldly where you’re wrong. Don’t just silently eat things with excessive salt for months on end like Huali.”
A single sentence struck a nerve, reminding him of the hellish food he had fed his daughter for months, and Jun Sakuma fell into a state of self-isolation in his consciousness.
Samuel successfully cleared away the dishes and ordered late-night takeout.
Himeya Jun watched him turn and go to the kitchen, feeling very confused.
Although both are Ultra Warriors, this "suitable person" named Jun Sakuma seems to have a very different way of getting along with Samuel.
It seems that Samuel is possessing Jun Sakuma.
He had never encountered a situation where an Ultra Warrior and a host were fighting for control of their body, let alone such a delicate event as arguing with himself.
