Why can't humans do it too?

This book is NOT a protagonist-torture novel. Whether it's playing games or watching movies, I always prefer a perfect happy ending. But this book is definitely not a typical "feel-good" novel either. If there's any real "feel-good" moment in the first volume, it's probably at the end, when all the pent-up emotions are released all at once. As for expecting a cheat code that makes the God of War hang on a lamppost within three chapters, forget about it. There are plenty of books like that on websites like Shuke and other similar sites, so there's no need to criticize me here.
Even in these times, when I'm struggling to make a living, I still want to write things that bring me satisfaction, and I believe that writing stories earnestly will always be rewarded.
That's about it. Orange asked me to write a few hundred words of reflection, but when I came to my senses, I realized I'd written so much already. I wanted to cut some, but I felt it was all necessary—thank you all for your support! I hope we can support each other on our journey ahead. I'm deeply grateful. I'm praying for you all here. Thank you for your support!

“It’s a shame, there’s no such thing,” Xin Ke shook her head and denied, “True Spirit Silver can enhance elves, and Sensing Steel has the property of soul synchronization, but unfortunately, only goblins can process these two minerals—to be precise, only they can be melted.”
With her hand outstretched, Xinke pointed to the pillar of fire in the very center of the city—the flame manifested by Okan, the god of the goblins.
“...That’s really unfair,” Suer sighed.
Goblins can plunder Soulstones from Elves, but Elves cannot use the corpses of Goblins.
“Fairness? What kind of joke is Mr. Monkey talking about? How do you spell those two words?” Su Er was mercilessly mocked. Xin Ke even covered her mouth and chuckled. She was really amused.
She felt as if she were looking at a soul so tender and naive, like a newborn. Was this really a creature that had grown up from this great war? It was so innocent that she almost burst out laughing, clutching her stomach.
Sull remained silent, unable to reach the same viewpoint as this forest elf; the two lived in completely different worlds.
"So what will the great Miss Nirbalian do now?" Sue suddenly asked. "Should she leave immediately and flee back to the Forest Elf territory, or should she stay here... and do something?"
He was curious about what choice the proud yet conflicted forest elf would make.
"Command one," Xin Ke said with a smile, holding up one finger, "From now on, Mr. Monkey is strictly forbidden from using that tone to say the words 'the great Miss Nirvalen,' understand?"
"Huh? Why, uh, okay, I understand," came the completely ambiguous request, but with an expression that seemed to be smiling but wasn't actually smiling at all, Suer wisely chose not to press the matter further.
"Command Two," Xin Ke suddenly turned around and looked once more at the enormous robot perched atop the city's dome. "Let's keep going up. I'm still a little curious about how the moles will use that divine essence..."
—Is it really just a little bit of curiosity?
Sul thought to himself, "Your clenched fists are revealing all your thoughts. You didn't react this strongly when you saw so many dead clansmen before."
"...They actually dared to use divine essence as material! Those wretched moles, don't they completely outdo me in terms of audacity...?"
As he traveled through the winding, upward-reaching city, Su Er could occasionally hear faint sounds of resentment coming from ahead. It wasn't his imagination; he just felt that something was off about Xin Ke.
To be honest, Sul was already shocked enough that Xin Ke would choose to continue moving upwards toward the giant robot. After all, this forest elf had openly declared that the value of her life was far less than that of the lives of other members of her race. Under such circumstances, choosing to continue moving upwards was quite abnormal.
After all, the higher you go, the closer you get to where the goblins manufacture all sorts of weapons of war. The Central Industrial Zone is where the danger level increases exponentially. Not to mention, the goblins' latest weapons are also produced here, and the security forces are the strongest. While the lower level is mostly populated by young goblin children and some people who have gone home to rest, the upper level is simply where adult goblins gather.
These guys, who work according to their own desires, sometimes get so engrossed in their work that they don't go back to rest for days or nights, making the upper level seem even more crowded compared to the spacious lower level.
Suer and Xinke often had to huddle close together in a corner, waiting for a long time, but goblins would still fly by in the air, and they couldn't find a gap to slip through.
"...You can't go any further, can you?" Trying to move her knees, which were pressed against the cold steel floor, felt like she'd touched a numb nerve; her entire leg ached and itched unbearably. Suer couldn't help but whisper in Xinke's ear, "You feel like this is your limit..."
Before he could finish speaking, a strong hand gripped his throat, forcibly pulling him away.
"...Order three: You are strictly forbidden from speaking so close to my ear!" Xin Ke spat out the threat through gritted teeth.
The long, horizontally extending ear twitched deftly to its side.
Sul nodded, straining his neck, indicating that he fully understood.
With a long sigh, Xin Ke released her grip on Su Er's neck and turned back to observe—no matter how unwilling she was, she had to admit that Su Er was right.
It was impossible to get any closer to that enormous spirit armor.
Further ahead, the obstructions had completely disappeared, and large numbers of goblins were suspended in mid-air, manipulating the various ores in front of them, smelting, condensing, and then forging them.
Unless one uses force to break through, it is impossible to silently approach that divine essence.
At this distance, Xin Ke could already see parts of the spell inscribed on that divine marrow—transformation, induction, diffusion…
From this limited information, it is impossible to determine what the mole's thought process was in creating this magical garment.
The only thing Xinke was certain of was that the moles had not succeeded yet, and it might not succeed for a very long time, perhaps years or even decades. They had to be extremely careful every time they tried to imprint the spell.
Stab it!
A sudden, tearing sound rang out, followed by a high-frequency metallic clanging, which grew louder and louder.
Suer and Xinke held their breath. The place where the goblins were hiding was where they stored their raw materials. Many of the ores had already undergone primary processing and were piled up in long strips and blocks.
The next moment, the wall that the two were leaning against was suddenly pulled open.
Suddenly losing his support, Suer swayed uncontrollably and almost fell. Fortunately, just a second before he fell, Xinke reached out and grabbed him, then forcefully pushed him down into the shadows.
Without moving, Suer lay flat on the ground following the force exerted by Xin Ke, trying his best to block out his breathing but unable to do so. He could only slow down the duration of each inhale and exhale.
Both Xinke and Suer lowered their bodies, not daring to straighten up—at a very close distance, not even a step away, a goblin sitting on its disc-shaped spirit armor floating in the air reached out from its fur and stroked the wall that the two had just been leaning against.
"Uneven temperature?"
Suer heard this question.

Both Suer and Xinke are undoubtedly races with body temperature. Even though they are wearing clothes, leaning against the cold steel plate for a long time will inevitably warm that area.
Separated only by a wall, it was so simple that the goblin only needed to fly a little further forward and then casually glance to the left to spot the two people huddled in the gap.
The area, filled with noise, the sounds of machinery colliding and rubbing against each other, suddenly seemed as quiet as a forest. Suer could even faintly hear the heavy breathing of the goblin just across the wall, though he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination.
Suer's mind was stretched to its limit.
"Varro! What are you still doing there?! Stop wasting time and hurry up and bring the things over!"
A roar came from above their heads, clearly the frustration of being trapped in some kind of predicament. Suer saw the goblin, who had been floating slowly forward, muttering to himself in confusion, suddenly stop.
"Almost done, Ronnie! Is this enough?!" He lifted the wall that had just been covering Suer and Xinke's figures.
"Almost there, hurry up and bring it over, I'm about to explode with emotion right now!"
"Okay, then I'll take more, so I don't have to come back later."
Muttering to himself, the fur ball sitting on the disc glided over Suer and Xinke, peeling off another layer of steel and carrying the steel materials to the top of the industrial area. Behind him, the cover, which had been lifted to a higher level once again, could no longer conceal the two figures.
Fortunately, the goblin never looked back until the very end.
With a sigh of relief, Suer sincerely thanked the goblin named Ronnie. If he was not mistaken, the arrogant goblin who was not covered by gray fur should be Ronnie, who was also the genius who proposed using divine essence directly as a weapon.
Silently stealthily made her way back the way she came. Although Xin Ke maintained this preoccupied look, Su Er could completely understand what she was worried about. If nothing unexpected happened, this proud forest elf should already be thinking about how to use the inactive divine essence as a weapon as well.
Divine essence is the manifestation of divinity as understood by mortals. Even if the divine essence is not activated, it is just a transformation of an erupting active volcano into a dormant one. In essence, the power it contains has not changed at all.
That was the full power of the physical foundation manifested by a divine being in the world. Even though no divine being had ever seen it make a move, no matter how you looked at it, this power was definitely greater than the nuclear weapons that Suer remembered.
If the forest elves follow in the footsteps of the goblins and develop weapons that use divine essence as a source of power... how is this any different from the nuclear war between the various countries in my previous life?
Suer's mood grew increasingly heavy.
In a world where weaponry is becoming increasingly sophisticated, how long can this planet survive?
"...Miss Nielbaren?" Having temporarily returned to the lower area, Suer looked at the forest elf walking in front of him and asked, "If that unactivated divine essence were to explode, how powerful would it be?"
"I don't know~", she replied lightly. "Unactivated divine marrow is not so easy to activate and release its power. After all, it is part of a divine species. Moreover, according to my observation, the inscription on that divine marrow is not the type of detonation or catalysis, but a gentler method. Perhaps those groundhogs will achieve a breakthrough in a few decades, or perhaps they will never achieve a breakthrough at all... Who knows?"
"What if it's just speculation?" Suer pressed on, still somewhat unwilling to give up. "Imagine the scene. After all, if divine essence could really be used as a weapon, the goblins wouldn't possibly limit themselves to just building one, would they?"
“That makes sense,” Xin Ke suddenly stopped and turned to look at Su Er, who was deep in thought. Then she smiled and said, “…Maybe this whole planet will be destroyed? After all, the Forest Elves will have weapons strong enough to defeat them.”
Despite mentioning the fate of their planet, the forest elf with pale golden hair showed no signs of worry or fear. Instead, she appeared unusually excited and expectant.
She doesn't think she will lose.
A beautiful face smiling should be pleasing to the eye, but Suer only felt a deep-seated disgust.
This planet is sick, and with it, all the races that live on it are sick.
Everything was transformed into a deeper, more endless violence.
“It’s time to leave, Mr. Monkey,” Shinke concluded. “Once we find a new submarine, we can begin our journey away from the mole’s lair.”
Witnessing the goblins use divine essence directly as a weapon did not frighten Xin Ke; on the contrary, it fueled her desire for revenge even more.
Compared to the mole's audacious idea, her initial plan to use the Forest God's blessing and the second-ranked fantasy species as weapons seemed like a child's toy—she also wanted to use divine essence, and even had to far surpass the mole's clumsy creation.
"By the way, I was serious about telling Mr. Monkey to think about what kind of spouse he wants in advance~, and I can still provide magic to add to the fun~, Mr. Monkey can look forward to his future life as much as possible—", Xin Ke's steps and words suddenly stopped.
Looking up, a small airship slowly flew overhead from a domed building that was almost out of sight to their right. During this time, Sul had already categorized the goblin tools; this type of airship was specially built by the goblins for transporting supplies within the city.
Snapped!
A drop of unidentified liquid fell from beneath the airship that passed overhead, splashing in front of Xin Ke. The circular mark was surrounded by fine bristles, one side longer than the other.
Squatting down, Xin Ke reached out her finger and rubbed the unidentified liquid drop on the ground, then brought it to her nose and smelled it.
“…It’s blood,” Xin Ke murmured softly as she straightened up and looked at the building at the far end of her vision.
"Ok?"
“It’s the blood of a forest elf~” Xin Ke answered Su Er’s question casually, seemingly hesitant.
