At the entrance of the cave, icicles stand out prominently.
Yao Tianjun's pupils contracted slightly. He quickly stepped forward, peered through the icicle, and murmured, "Uncle Li, Uncle Zhang..."
"Who are these two?" Master Wang walked over and asked, glancing at the people inside.
“Uncle Li and Uncle Zhang are the captain and deputy captain of our village’s garrison,” Yao Tianjun said.
"Is that so..." Master Wang nodded slightly, without saying anything more.
Ye Feng stepped forward and gently patted Yao Tianjun on the shoulder, saying, "Don't worry, they're both fine right now."
Yao Tianjun wiped his eyes and nodded.
"How much do you know about what's down there?" Master Wang squatted down by the cave entrance, cautiously peering down.
“I once wandered in there while I was playing. The space inside is huge, but I didn’t see much before my dad caught me and I don’t know much about it,” Yao Tianjun said.
Master Wang pondered for a few seconds and said, "In any case, we still need to go down and take a look. Safety first. If things are not going well, we should retreat immediately and wait for more people to come and help."
Yao Tianjun opened his mouth, but in the end, he nodded weakly.
Master Wang led the way down, followed closely by Master Yu, and then Ye Feng and Yao Tianjun.
The opening to descend was not large at first, but as they went deeper, it became wider and wider. When they reached the bottom of the stairs, they were surprised to find that there was a long passage in front of them.
What surprised them most was that the passage resembled the ruins of the former kingdom of Poklandis, with various murals on the walls.
"There's actually a ruin here, and it looks quite large." Master Wang exclaimed in surprise, his eyes wide as he looked at the seemingly endless passage.
The group briefly examined the paintings on the wall, but unfortunately, due to their age, they were so damaged that it was impossible to discern what was depicted on them.
The murals offered no useful information, and there was no point in continuing to look at them, so the group decided to move on.
"Xiao Feng, have your Togekiss be careful with its senses. Alakazam's psychic abilities seem to be restricted. I'm worried there might be some traps here," Master Yu said.
The ruins of the Kingdom of Poklandis are riddled with traps. Although they did not pose any threat to them in the past, now that they know a dangerous enemy is waiting ahead, any adverse factor could turn into a deadly threat.
"I understand." Ye Feng nodded solemnly and gave Pokkis a few instructions.
“There are no traps here,” Yao Tianjun said.
“Better safe than sorry. This looks like a ruin?” Master Wang said. Yao Tianjun nodded. “Since it’s a ruin, there’s a possibility that something we don’t know about exists here. With all the changes happening here, no one can guarantee that something might have been accidentally activated.”
Yao Tianjun paused for a moment. He didn't know much about the situation below, but since the elder was so old and could come and go as he pleased, he subconsciously assumed there wouldn't be any traps.
But what if the elder is very familiar with this place and knows how to avoid the traps?
Chapter 421 The Legendary Spirits of the Underground
Continuing forward, the light projected from the cave entrance was no longer enough to illuminate the area, but fortunately, they did not encounter any of the traps they had anticipated.
Master Yu, who was walking ahead, squinted and said, "It's getting hard to see. Alakazam, Flash."
Alakazam tapped the spoon in his hand, and a soft light shone up, floating above everyone's heads under Alakazam's control, illuminating the surroundings.
"It feels a bit too quiet here," Ye Feng said, looking around as he walked.
The walls were quite dilapidated, with some parts even showing signs of crumbling; they would crumble and fall off at the slightest touch.
The passage was much shorter than expected, and the group quickly emerged from it into an enormous cave.
The cave was incredibly spacious, but the flashlights only illuminated a limited area, making it impossible to see the edge of the cave. However, the cave ceiling was surprisingly low, roughly the same height as the depth they had descended.
"There doesn't seem to be anything here?" Ye Feng looked around and then looked at Gardevoir.
Gardevoir shook its head, indicating that its psychic powers were still blocked and it was unable to perceive anything. Master Yu's Alakazam was in the same situation.
Ye Feng could only pin his hopes on Pokkis.
Pokkiss closed its eyes and began to sense things with its waveguide. Suddenly, it trembled violently.
"What's wrong, Togekiss?" Ye Feng was startled. Togekiss seemed to have sensed something very terrifying.
The group of people who were observing the area approached upon hearing Ye Feng's voice.
"What's wrong, Ye Feng?" Master Yu asked.
“Pokekiss seems to have sensed something terrifying,” Ye Feng said.
Pokkiss opened his eyes and anxiously called out to Ye Feng.
"What did it say?" Master Wang asked.
Ye Feng frowned and turned to look into the distance. There was a large area of black that was darker than the surrounding area, which looked like another passage, and it was wider than the passage behind them.
"It said there's a very powerful Pokémon there, even stronger than Necrozma," Ye Feng said.
Master Wang and Master Yu exchanged a glance, their expressions grave as they followed Ye Feng's gaze and saw the darkness.
"It should be the spirit inside the seal," Yao Tianjun said. "Could it have already broken free of the seal?"
"Possibly." Ye Feng frowned.
Although Togekiss's strength hasn't yet surpassed the Master level, it has at least seen many powerful legendary Pokémon, and ordinary Pokémon won't scare it.
If the seal were intact, Togekiss wouldn't be able to sense the opponent's strength so clearly. The only explanation is that it has already broken free from the seal.
After standing there for a while, Master Wang finally decided that standing there was not a solution, so he said, "Let's go take a look. Be careful and be ready to fight at any time. You two children will bring up the rear."
Master Wang, Master Yu, and Ye Feng each grasped their own keystones, ready to evolve at any moment.
The four of them, two in front and two behind, slowly walked towards the darkness.
Just as the group reached the center, an unexpected event occurred!
"Roar!!"
A deafening roar suddenly rang out, followed by a cold gust of wind that swept in from the front, instantly covering Ye Feng and the others with frost.
"Retreat!" Master Wang shouted, protecting Ye Feng and Yao Tianjun as they quickly retreated.
As they retreated, the roars quickly ceased.
"Be on guard!" Master Wang said coldly, stepping forward to block the crowd, the key stone in his hand beginning to glow faintly.
Ye Feng carefully patted the frost off his body, his eyes fixed on the darkness.
After waiting for a while, nothing happened. If it weren't for the frost on his body and the lingering echoes in the cave, Ye Feng would have almost thought that the roar just now was an illusion.
The group exchanged glances, all seeing the confusion in each other's eyes.
What's going on? Why didn't they call?
"Is this a warning?" Master Wang had a vague guess in his mind. After thinking for a moment, he said, "I'll go and test it out."
"Be careful," Master Yu warned.
Master Wang nodded and, under the watchful eyes of the others, slowly walked forward step by step. Blastoise followed closely beside him, its sharp gaze fixed ahead, ready to fight at any moment.
Ye Feng stared intently at Master Wang's feet, estimated the distance he had just retreated, and roughly located the line from which the roar had sounded. Just as Master Wang stepped over it, Ye Feng was suddenly startled.
At the same time, a roar rang out as Master Wang's footsteps landed, as if sensing Master Wang's probing intentions, this time the cold wind was even more intense than before.
Master Wang narrowed his eyes, gritted his teeth, and stood firm in the wind. Blastoise stepped forward and blocked Master Wang's path.
"Roar!!"
"Boom boom boom!"
With the incessant roar, the ground began to shake violently.
To everyone's astonishment, countless ice pillars suddenly emerged from both sides of the platform, rapidly spreading upwards and intersecting. In the blink of an eye, a huge archway formed of ice appeared before them.
"What is this?" Master Yu's eyes widened.
This archway was clearly the work of that Pokémon; such power was something even the most knowledgeable master trainers had never seen before.
"This is..." Ye Feng's pupils shrank sharply.
The archway gave him a very familiar feeling, as if he had seen it somewhere before.
Master Wang was now only a few steps away from the archway.
He looked up at the archway, his heart pounding faster, feeling that something terrifying would happen if he crossed it.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Before Master Wang could think any further, a huge figure slowly emerged from the darkness, accompanied by heavy footsteps.
Blastoise instantly assumed a fighting stance, gritting its teeth and staring at the figure, feeling an unprecedented amount of pressure.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
"Hu Di!" Master Yu roared.
A flash of blue light appeared in Hudi's eyes, and the light in his hand intensified, transforming into a huge ball of light that rose rapidly and finally stopped at the edge of the cave ceiling.
As the flashlight illuminated the cave, everything inside was finally clearly revealed to the group.
The dark curtain was indeed a huge passage, and the elf revealed its form.
It was a dragon-shaped elf with a gray-blue body, standing on two legs, with an ice-blue spiky nose, and light green eyes that shimmered with a yellow light, with no pupils visible; its face and jaw were also gray-blue, resembling broken icicles that extended upwards to form two icy horns.
It has a long gray neck and gray body, two very thin arms with two fingers each, connected to two ice-like wings; its tail is like a turbine with three sharp spikes at the end.
"Kyurem?!" Everyone exclaimed in surprise, except for Ye Feng, who showed an expression of knowing it was true.
