"boom!"

Suddenly, a loud explosion rang out, and the lake surface burst into a spray of water as two figures burst out of the water.

Upon closer inspection, Ye Feng recognized one of them as his Gyarados, and the other as a blue Pokémon that resembled a seahorse.

"This is... King Thorn Dragon? When did it evolve?" Gu Ruyun asked in surprise.

"King Spike Dragon? Not bad, not bad." Ye Feng nodded in satisfaction. Although he didn't know how the Sea Spike Dragon evolved into King Spike Dragon, evolution was a good thing, as it would save him a lot of time in training it.

After the two elves burst out of the water, they floated on the surface and faced each other.

"Dragon King, my name is Ye Feng. Do you want to come with me?" Ye Feng shouted at the Dragon King.

The Thorn Dragon King glanced at Ye Feng, then turned its face away disdainfully, snorting "Tsuru" from its nose.

"Uh..." Ye Feng scratched his head, feeling a little embarrassed. Why did he seem uninterested in him?

"Roar!" Gyarados was displeased to see Kingdra looking down on its trainer and roared at it.

"Ci Lu!" The Thorn Dragon King roared back, not to be outdone.

"In that case, let's have a fight! If I win, you'll come with me, okay?" Ye Feng shouted.

Kingdra ignored him and continued to stare at Gyarados.

"If you don't speak, I'll take that as a yes. Go, Gyarados, Iron Tail!" Ye Feng ordered.

"Roar!" Gyarados roared and swam quickly toward Kingdra, whipping its tail fiercely at him.

Kingdra dived down, nimbly dodging Iron Tail's attack, then quickly surfaced, gathering energy in its long beak, and unleashed a Dragon Pulse towards Gyarados.

"Fly! 100,000 volts!" Ye Feng ordered.

Gyarados slapped its tail, quickly leaving the water to dodge the Dragon Pulse attack, and then its entire body surged with electricity as it unleashed a Thunderbolt attack on Kingdra.

Kingdra dived again, trying to use the same trick to dodge the attack, but the lake was not pure water. Thunderbolt hit Kingdra instantly through the lake water.

Although its power was reduced considerably after being diluted by the lake water, it still made Kingdra shudder.

Kingdra quickly left the lake, floated in the air, and fired another Dragon Pulse from its mouth, hitting Gyarados.

Gyarados let out a cry of pain and charged forward using the smoke from the explosion. Its Iron Tail lashed out at Kingdra, sending it flying and crashing onto the shore.

"Destroy the light!"

Before the Thorn Dragon King could get up, Ye Feng decisively gave the order.

From Gyarados's wide-open mouth, the Hyper Beam rapidly converged and shot towards Kingdra.

Kingdra struggled to raise its head, firing its powerful water cannon to block the destructive beam attack. Meteor Shower is a powerful move for Dragon-type Pokémon. This Kingdra lives alone and most likely learned it on its own, which shows that it is very strong and talented.

"Gyarados, Dragon Dance!" Ye Feng commanded.

He even sensed dragon-type energy through Dragon Dance and learned Dragon Tail, but he hasn't mastered it yet and can only use it freely while in Dragon Dance state.

But it was still a pleasant surprise, making Gu Ruyun feel like she had suffered a huge loss.

Gyarados roared and began to twist its body in a rhythmic motion, looking as if it were dancing.

Ye Feng smiled slightly and decisively threw out a Poké Ball. A red light flashed and sucked Kingdra into it.

The Poké Ball shook a few times, then calmed down with a "thump".

King Thorn Dragon, acquired!

Ye Feng smiled and touched the Thorn Dragon King. It felt smooth and cool to the touch, and it was quite nice.

"What happened to Kingdra?" Ye Feng asked nervously, noticing the surprised tone in Dragonite's voice.

"It's alright, it's fine." Dragonite shook its head. "Now that you've captured this kid, it saves me some effort. Ah, I'm getting old, so I'm not too keen on moving around anymore."

"What do you mean?" Ye Feng was completely confused. There was something strange about what Dragonite said.

"It's nothing." Dragonite shook its head, remained silent for a while, and then said, "But it doesn't seem right to do nothing. How about this, I'll give you something."

As soon as Kuailong finished speaking, something fell from the sky and hit Ye Feng on the head.

"Ouch!" Ye Feng rubbed his head, which was throbbing from the impact, and looked down in confusion, only to be astonished to find that it was a scale that was shimmering with a strange light.

"This is a dragon scale I found by chance. It contains a lot of dragon energy, which will be of great benefit to your Kingdra. I'm giving it to you."
