doomsday escape

Chapter Thirty-One: Darkness

"Is there anything else in this room that can be used?" Wang He still refused to give up and asked again.

"There are a few hammers and crowbars that can be used as weapons. The rest are just oil, tires, and some towels. The rest... nothing more..." a soldier replied.

"Maomao." Wang He suddenly said to Li Jingou: "You and I go to the underground parking lot."

…………

Wang He had never been so embarrassed. He took Li Jingou with a bucket of engine oil and a tire and walked down the stairs into the parking lot. Only then did he realize that there was no light in the entire parking lot and it was so dark that he couldn't see his fingers.

Wang He couldn't help but squat on the ground, hesitating and not knowing what to do.

Li Jingou chuckled lightly, patted his shoulder, took out a flashlight, turned it on, and threw it far away.

The flashlight hit a car, bounced a few times and fell to the ground. Suddenly, there was a burst of chaotic footsteps, and more than a dozen black figures roared and rushed towards the weak light.

He patted Wang He's shoulder hard, grabbed the crossbow on his body, and pointed at the zombies. Li Jingou squatted aside and pulled out two short guns, guarding him quietly.

Wang He picked up the crossbow. The bright light of the flashlight in the distance finally brought him some comfort. He wiped the cold sweat from his head, took a few deep breaths, concentrated his attention, and started killing zombies.

As zombies fell to the ground after being hit by arrows, Wang He's face gradually became calmer, and his eyes flashed with blue light. When the last zombie fell, Wang He had completely calmed down, and the blue in his eyes flashed.

Flash past.

Li Jingou naturally noticed the blue color, which was especially obvious in the dark, but he didn't pay much attention to it.

The three of them have noticed each other. Every time blue flashes in their pupils, they will enter an absolutely calm state. No matter what they do, they will concentrate 200% on it, and they will even have stronger abilities than usual.

Wang He took out a flashlight again and took pictures everywhere in the parking lot. After making sure that there was no danger in this small parking lot, he walked towards the body.

He planned to set the corpses on fire for illumination.

Both humans and zombies contain a lot of fat, which can act as a good combustion aid. Their flashlights must save power, and since there is nothing to burn in front of them, they have no choice but to kill these corpses out of disgust.

"Chiji..."

As soon as Wang He poured gasoline on a corpse, he heard a strange laugh. The sound was exactly the same as the one he heard on the second floor. He suddenly became nervous. He held a crossbow with one hand and took out a lighter with the other hand to light the gasoline.

.

"boom"

The corpse quickly burned, and the clothes and fat made a "sizzling" sound. The smell of burnt meat soon filled the air. By the light of the fire, Wang Heping looked around with his crossbow.

"Over there..." Suddenly, Li Jingou let out a low shout and threw an open flashlight into the depths of the parking lot.

Wang He only saw a shadow that disappeared in a flash, while Li Jingou had already jumped out at an extremely fast speed, leaving only an afterimage.

Wang He couldn't see clearly what was in the darkness, but he only heard a few sounds of metal collision, and then everything calmed down again.

He shouted several times, but no one responded. In a hurry, he dragged the corpse of a zombie, poured some gasoline on it, lit it on fire, and threw it forward.

The fire light illuminated it again, but he still couldn't see clearly in the darkness, and there was no figure of Li Jingou. Wang He simply refused to do anything and continued.

All the gasoline was poured on several corpses, lit on fire, and several were thrown into the darkness.

Anyway, there aren't many cars here, so as long as the cars don't burn and cause explosions, just bring in the zombies outside.

The fire lit up the entire parking lot. Wang He still didn't find Li Jingou, but he saw a strange "person".

This guy was lying in the shadow between the two cars. It was said to be lying because it was lying on its chest, its sleeves were obviously empty and hung loosely, and its white robe was trailing behind.

She has long hair, a pale face, and a pair of protruding blood-red eyes, staring at Wang He.

I didn't see any movement from it. It seemed that its chest was inflated and then disappeared. Only a slight "pop" was heard.

As soon as Wang He turned his head, the thing had already landed on the roof of a car. It had a pair of terrifying bloody eyes, as if it had endless hatred and wanted to eat him alive.

Wang He became nervous in an instant. Just as he regained his composure, he encountered such a ghost. Li Jingou had no idea where he was. He was obviously harmed by this thing.

"Chiji..."

His tense nerves were suddenly crushed by the weird laughter. Wang He only felt a "bang" in his head, as if a fuse had been blown.

"Ah..." With a loud roar, Wang He's whole body actually swelled. Veins on his face and hands bulged, and his pupils flashed a strange red light.

He stepped hard on his feet and made a footprint on the solid cement ground. His body rushed forward, and the broken cement was splashed everywhere. His whole body was shot out at a speed no less than that of Li Jingou.

The two corpse-claw swords in his hands struck hard at the strange monster. With a "boom", the roof of the car was split into three pieces by him.

The so-called extreme of fear is anger. Wang He was so frightened by this ghost that he became furious. He cursed and slashed at the parking lot with both swords, causing dust to fly and sparks to fly in the parking lot.

The ghost was dodging left and right, escaping in all directions. In the end, it seemed to shrink back in fear, moved a few times, and jumped towards the ventilation duct on the ceiling.

Apparently that's where it lives. No wonder Wang He and Wu Ting could hear its weird laughter on the second floor. The central air-conditioning ventilation ducts are spread throughout the building.

"Pfft~" Just when the monster was about to get into the pipe, a corpse-claw sword came out of the pipe and stuck straight into the ghost's face. The monster twitched a few times and then hung on the sword without moving.

.

After getting rid of the monster, a man emerged from the pipe. He covered his shoulder with one hand and staggered down the pipe. It turned out to be Li Jingou.

After a brief fight with the monster, his shoulder was injured. He had already seen the monster coming out of here, so he simply waited here and used the narrow channel to limit the opponent's speed.

Unexpectedly, the monster was so frightened by the furious Wang He that it tried to escape back to its habitat, but was stabbed in the head by his sword.

"Hu~hu..." The furious Wang He had not yet reached the point where he couldn't distinguish between ourselves and the enemy. When he saw Li Jingou killing the monster, he began to calm down slowly.

The red light in his eyes returned to black, and he sat down on the ground exhausted, breathing heavily.

Li Jingou looked at Wang He with a complicated expression.

The situation just now shocked him a lot, not because of Wang He's speed and strength, but because of the violent, cruel, and bloody aura conveyed when he was furious, which was more oppressive than a hungry giant corpse.

Even stronger.

Throw away the corpse claw and put it on the sword

Drenched with blood, Li Jingou cut open the monster's robe with his sword. He said "Hey", grabbed the monster's long hair and yanked it, and actually pulled off a hood.

Looking at the corpse again, it turned out that it was a skinless corpse with a short body covered in a mask and robe. At first glance, I thought it was a monster without arms and legs.

"Fuck..." Wang He breathed a sigh of relief and lay down on the ground.

Li Jingou looked at the face of the skinless corpse and the hood in his hand. No matter which angle he looked at, the face of the skinless corpse was more terrifying. He looked at Wang He again and didn't know what to say for a moment...

After bypassing a large rotating slope, the two came to the entrance and exit of the parking lot. A little further up, they could see the zombies crowded at the exit.

Wang He didn't dare to go any further for fear of attracting zombies. He asked Li Jingou to pour engine oil into the tire, stuffed a car cleaning cloth into it, and lit it with a lighter. The two of them took a few steps back and squatted quietly.

Wait there.

After a while, the burning engine oil was emitting blue smoke, the tires were emitting black smoke, and the acrid smoke enveloped the entire exit.

Although it is not as effective as smoke bombs, it is still quite ideal. Wang He picked up a cut-off car door and threw it towards the smoke.

"Crack~" The sound of the car door falling was not loud, but in this quiet world, it was as loud as a bomb, and it was close to the exit.

Soon I heard several zombies being lured down. They each tied a soaked towel on their face and sneaked over quietly.

Several zombies were eliminated quietly in the smoke, and even the zombies stopped by the gate pole were killed one by one by Wang He with a crossbow.

After repeating this process several times, no more zombies came down, so Wang He quietly walked to the exit and observed the situation on the street.

The zombies at the exit have basically been cleared. A few scattered ones were killed by Wang He with a crossbow. The entrance to the building opposite was to their right, and the straight-line distance was no more than 60 meters. However, these 60 meters were crowded with zombies, which was very difficult.

Soon the empty space at the exit will be filled with zombies squeezing around.

Wang He took a few photos with his cell phone and then asked Li Jingou to retreat.

Back at the car repair shop, Chen Hu also came down from the roof. Wang He greeted everyone, explained the situation, and made some simple preparations.

I packed up the claws and teeth of the skinless corpse, carried more than a dozen tires and engine oil, collected a lot of car cleaning cloths, towels, clothing and other cloths, and returned to the exit of the parking lot.

The tires were stuffed with cloth, poured with engine oil, lit on fire, and rolled to the open space. When the smoke enveloped them, several people tied up soaked towels and pushed forward slowly under the cover of smoke.

Wang He and Wu Ting used their bows and crossbows to clear an open space in front of them again.

The three soldiers rolled the lit tires over, waited for the thick smoke to billow again, and then pushed forward. This was repeated several times, and finally the six of them reached the entrance of the building opposite.

Following Wang He's instructions, the three soldiers lined up the last few tires and lit them on fire. Thick smoke enveloped the entire entrance to the building.

Li Jingou handed the recovered arrow to Wang He, took out the tape himself, and stuck it on the glass of the window next to the door. As Wang He nodded, he picked up a sledgehammer and smashed the glass.

A slight "bang" on the tape-covered glass attracted only two zombies to approach. They had just passed through the thick smoke and before they could see the person clearly, they were killed by Wang He and Wu Ting with one arrow each.

Li Jingou stood on the window, looked around inside, reached in, opened the window and jumped in.
