Chapter 1916: Bora and Upa

The robust adult was Bora, and the little one was Bora's son, Upa.

Bora's appearance resembled that of a Native American. He was tall, wore a necklace of fierce animal teeth, had black hair tied behind his back, and bore many scars from battles, making him a very valiant warrior.

Because Goku rescued his son Upa from the Red Ribbon Army, he became friends with him and Goku.

Later, he was killed by the even more powerful and ruthless assassin, Mercenary Tao.

Goku swore in front of the sobbing Upa that he would collect all the Dragon Balls to revive his father.

However, because Hale had resolved the Red Ribbon Army ahead of time, none of this happened. Bora did not die, so Goku only encountered Bora and Upa while searching for the Dragon Balls.

Upa learned from Goku that the Four-Star Dragon Ball was his grandfather's keepsake, so he gave it to Goku, thus becoming friends with Goku.
