#2667 - Fortune-telling grandmother

“Please come in and follow me.” The ghost-like pink creature floated ahead, leading Hale and his group through a corridor and into an arched doorway.

Inside the archway, there were no lights, and it was very dark.

Yamcha, Goku, Krillin, Bulma, and Puar looked around and found some human skeletons standing in the corners, guarding the place like sentries.

“Why would anyone use skeletons as guards?” The dark environment, coupled with the human bones, was a bit eerie, making everyone feel a little uneasy. Bulma trembled and leaned closer to Hale.

Suddenly.

A blue orb of light appeared in the dark space in front of them.

An old witch wearing a black witch's outfit, a pointed black witch's hat, a small stature, and wrinkles all over her face, sat cross-legged on a large, glowing crystal ball and descended from the dark sky.

“You all look very young…” Fortuneteller Baba raised her head and scanned the group. When she saw Hale, her gaze paused, and she stared at him, frowning slightly.

Fortuneteller Baba's voice was a bit hoarse and shrill, not very pleasant, making people feel a bit uneasy. Everyone looked at Fortuneteller Baba.

“Are you Fortuneteller Baba?” Goku asked.

“It's Fortuneteller Baba!” Fortuneteller Baba corrected Goku's innocent words.

“What a strange name.” Goku said strangely.

“This is not my real name, it's a stage name!” Fortuneteller Baba said unhappily.

Goku ignored her and said directly, “Well then, Granny, can you help me find something?”

“Okay, I will divine for you.” Fortuneteller Baba said, looking at Goku.

“Great, this old woman seems to have a bad temper, but I didn't expect her to be so straightforward.” Krillin's eyes lit up, and he said happily.

Fortuneteller Baba glanced at Krillin unhappily, making Krillin stand up straight and shrink back, pursing his lips and daring not to speak nonsense.

This old woman still looked a bit eerie.

“But I need to charge a fee.” Fortuneteller Baba said.

“T-Ten million!” Yamcha, Krillin, and Puar were shocked. No wonder Fortuneteller Baba could build a palace in the desert oasis. Earning ten million for a single divination was too easy.

Seeing Yamcha, Krillin, and Puar's shocked expressions, Fortuneteller Baba chuckled dryly, “I know you are all poor.”

“Ah? That's not it, we're just shocked that divination costs so much.” Yamcha quickly waved his hand and said.

They had obtained the pirate treasure and were also officers in the Red Ribbon Army, with a considerable salary. Although ten million was very expensive, they were not short of money.

“That's right, let me pay ten million, let's get the divination done quickly.” Krillin patted his chest and stood up, indicating that he would pay the ten million for Goku.

“Krillin, you're so good.” The innocent Goku smiled happily at Krillin.

“Hehe!” Krillin was a little embarrassed by Goku's praise.

“Hmm? ? ? ? ?” Fortuneteller Baba strangely scanned the people in front of her, and finally her gaze landed on Hale's face, feeling quite strange, “You have ten million?”

“Ten million is nothing, we can all afford it.” Bulma puffed out her chest beside Hale and said crisply, “Hurry up and divine for Goku.”

Ten million was nothing to Bulma.

“We all have money for divination.” Krillin patted his stomach with both hands, feeling very confident.

Everyone looked at Fortuneteller Baba with expectant eyes.

Fortuneteller Baba turned her head and scolded the ghost-like pink creature floating in the air, “What's going on with them? How could such distinguished guests be queuing in the battle line?”

Fortuneteller Baba had two requirements for helping people with divination.

First, ten million.

Second, defeat the warriors she sent out in a battle challenge.

She thought she would be welcoming exciting battles, but it turned out they had money, and everyone had it?

Of course, the ignorant Goku didn't know that his status as a guerrilla major in the Red Ribbon Army meant he had more than ten million in unpaid wages.

Since Goku didn't participate in the pirate treasure adventure, the money from the pirate treasure had nothing to do with him, so Goku was the poorest here.

“I don't know, they queued up behind the battle line, it's my mistake!” The ghost-like pink creature floating in the air quickly bowed and apologized. Only then did Fortuneteller Baba turn her head to look at Hale and the others with a slightly better expression.

“Since you've queued up in the battle line, you don't have to use the ten million method…” Fortuneteller Baba hadn't finished speaking when Krillin became happy.

“Really? You're giving us a free divination?” Krillin said happily.

“Free?” Fortuneteller Baba smirked, revealing a sly smile, “It's also possible. There's also a way to divine without money. Come with me.”

After speaking, Fortuneteller Baba turned around and left, riding on the large crystal ball floating in the air.

“? ? ? Is she asking us to do something?” Yamcha asked in confusion, but didn't get a response from Fortuneteller Baba.

Everyone could only follow behind Fortuneteller Baba with curious faces, passing through the dark room, then through a long corridor with a lake below, and arriving at a circular arena.

“Come one by one, fight the warriors I choose. If you win, the next person will fight. If you lose, the next person will challenge. In short, you only need to defeat my five warriors. If you defeat them, I will give you a free divination.” Fortuneteller Baba said with slight excitement.

Hearing about the battle, everyone didn't worry at all, but instead revealed smiles.

“What? It turns out that's all it is.” Yamcha revealed a confident smile.

“Those five people from before were the ones who were beaten and ran away.” Krillin recalled the few people at the door who were beaten black and blue and left, laughed, and shook his index finger, confidently saying:

“Old woman, the four of us are the ones who made it to the top eight, top four, and even the champion of the World Martial Arts Tournament. Our strength cannot be ignored.”

Fortuneteller Baba smiled very satisfied, “Oh ho ho, then I want to see it even more, ho ho ho…”

Yamcha and Krillin puffed out their chests confidently. Goku felt it was very fun, and it was interesting to be able to fight. Hale felt that Fortuneteller Baba seemed to have some strange gaze towards him.

“There are no rules. Raising your hand to surrender or falling into the water counts as a loss.” Fortuneteller Baba said, “If there are no objections, let's begin. Who are you planning to send to fight the first match?”

“Then let me go first.”
