“Best Actor Fu, are you really going to neuter the cat?”

“Best Actor Fu, even if you’re really going to do that, can my cat be friends with your cat?”

Fu Sichen strode briskly. As he was tall, he took big steps, so Wang Youquan had to run to keep up. “Sichen, are you really getting the cat spayed?”

“Sichen, think again. I heard that if the pet is not psychologically prepared for the process, they may end up with depression.”

“Sichen, Sichen. Or maybe have a chat with Lin Yousu? After all, this cat used to be hers.”

Things would’ve been fine if Wang Youquan didn’t mention Lin Yousu’s name. The moment he said the name of the cat’s previous owner, Fu Sichen’s expression clouded over and turned icy, like an impending storm. Wang Youquan retreated.

“It’s illegal to murder. Although I’m not as good looking as you, all life is equal!”

“Huh.” Fu Sichen chortled.

He got into the car carrying the cat and slammed the door shut.

The mini-van had great security features. From inside the van, one could see what was outside, but nobody outside could see the inside. Once Fu Sichen got into the car, he suddenly pinned the cat down.

Pei Zhen was lying on the seat struggling.

Freaking hell!

He was in a dangerous position!

“Don’t spay? And let you hook up with female cats?” With one hand, Fu Sichen was able to control the wriggling Pei Zhen completely. “Spaying you is not such a bad idea. In any case, you are the bottom party.”

“Are you surprised?” Fu Sichen smiled icily. “I’ve liked you for so long, and I’d still have to be the bottom party?” Meow. Meow. Meow. Bottom party?! What bottom party?!

Pei Zhen who was straighter than a telephone pole was shocked—like a bolt of lightning in clear blue skies. It wasn’t confusion, and it wasn’t discomfort.

It was pure shock.

Even when Fu Sichen leaned in to kiss him, he felt nothing.

It wasn’t a real kiss, just a light touch before he released the cat. As Fu Sichen drove out of the carpark, Pei Zhen was still in shock and wasn’t sure what to think about apart from a few strange random thoughts.

“It’s nighttime; the vets are closed. There’s no chance you’re getting me spayed, hahaha.”

He must have gone quite mad from the shock!

Of course, the reality was that Fu Sichen didn’t go to the vet, but drove to the hospital.

The nurse on the night shift was surprised.

Carrying his cat, Fu Sichen marched towards Pei Zhen’s—or rather, his body’s—room.

“Best Actor Fu, Best Actor Fu.” The nurse hurried after him. He turned around and glared at her. She shrank back, and said with a trembling voice, “I-I’ll open the door for you. P-please don’t disturb the other patients.”

The nurse took out the keys with shaking hands to unlock the door. Very quickly, Fu Sichen entered the room, and before the nurse could even look up, the door had been slammed shut.

“Are you still not going to wake up?” Fu Sichen shoved the cat onto the bed. He held Pei Zhen’s face—it wasn’t clear who was meant to hear what he said.

“Pardon me for being a beast then.”
