Igris casually pulled out her pistol, checking her remaining bullets to see if she had enough for a killing spree today.

Alex, however, pressed down on the barrel of her gun and slowly shook his head, saying...

“Killing won’t solve anything. I need to let those idiots know who the real boss is, let them know… that the former boss is still watching them all.”

Igris was silent for a moment, then put the pistol back into her waistband.

Now that things had been said this far, Iglesias understood what her real intentions were, but there was still one thing she didn't understand.

"If you say that killing doesn't solve anything, then why were you suspended from your post for indiscriminate killing?"

"You want to know the truth?"

Alex tossed the folding stick to Ibrahimovic and gave her the same cold look he had when they first met.

"Then come down with me and see what trouble those idiots have gotten themselves into."

"Ok."

Igris took the folding stick, skillfully unfolded it, and tried swinging it once.

"Then, as you wish?"

……

"Hey! You two, stop right there! This is..."

Boom!

Seeing the watchdog being knocked down by Igris with a single blow before he could even speak for two seconds, Alex suddenly didn't know what to say.

"What, isn't this what you wanted?"

“He’s just a doorman; we need him to notify the others that we’re here.”

Alex patiently explained to Igris, then put on a smile.

"But I like your handling of the situation."

"Then let's not waste any more words... Also, this thing isn't very user-friendly."

Igris missed her crowbar; she hadn't brought it with her, after all, she hadn't expected to come out to fight.

"Get used to it; at least it's a decent weapon."

Alex went to the unconscious man and picked up his baseball bat.

"To tell you the truth, I didn't expect you to come."

"So you only took one weapon?"

"A smart person."

Igris kicked open the iron gate in front of her, the loud noise illuminating the dark courtyard and drawing the attention of countless people to the two uninvited guests who had barged in.

Bright searchlights shone on Igris, like spotlights on a stage, illuminating her every movement.

“You didn’t mention there was a stage performance here.”

"Who knows where they found the lamp?"

Igris and Alex exchanged a glance, then rushed out simultaneously.

"Stop them!"

Faced with the onrushing gang members, Igris didn't hesitate to swing the folding stick in her hand, knocking a man who was running a little too fast to the ground, causing everyone who came near her to take two steps back.

That blow looks really painful; nobody wants to experience it.

"Isn't there anyone here who can fight?"

Igris hadn't fought like this in a long time.

Her body had always been weak, and the enemies she faced were always unpredictable, strange creatures or terrifying beings.

The rare battle and the fame she gained reignited her long-dormant fighting spirit, making her more arrogant and dazzling than ever before.

The searchlight shone on her, as if it were truly focusing the entire scene on her, and for a long time no one came near.

Feeling somewhat bored, I looked in Alex's direction, only to see her slowly walking towards her. Behind her, countless people lay on the ground, groaning in pain, while others lay motionless, presumably unconscious.

"Do you really have to take this long?"

Alex struck the man blocking his way on the head with his stick, grabbed his shoulder, threw him onto another man, and kicked them both to the ground.

The remaining two tried to run away, but she charged forward and punched one of them to the ground. At the same time, she threw the baseball bat that looked almost broken, which accurately hit the last person on the back of the head, causing him to fall heavily to the ground.

The courtyard, which originally housed more than a dozen people, now has not a single gang member left standing there.

Igris felt she might be a bit superfluous, after all, she had only swung the stick in her hand once since she came in.

"These are all peripheral members, they're not very meaningful. The real main event is yet to come."

Alex patted Igris on the shoulder, but Igris glared at him, somewhat confused.

"Don't touch me without permission."

"You've got quite a temper, haven't you?"

The Gods' Fool - The Last Knight: Chapter Thirty-Six, The Massacre

"Boss! Something terrible has happened, boss!"

In a private room of the underground casino, a bald man rushed in in a panic, only to be pinned down by several burly men in black.

Beside the pool table, a well-dressed man gave him a cold glance and abruptly dropped the cue stick he was holding.

"You're all flustered and have no manners at all. Just say what's on your mind."

The burly men in black released the bald man, who hurriedly knelt on the ground and shouted loudly.

"That woman...that woman is back! She's back! The brothers have all fallen! And this time she's brought a helper!"

The man frowned, waved to the other burly men, and they dragged the bald man in front of him.

He lowered his head, looked at the bald man's terrified expression, and said with a gloomy expression.

"Do you think I can't do anything about her now?"

"No, no, no, I didn't mean that... I just..."

Before he could finish speaking, the man kicked him to the ground, and the other burly men grabbed him and pinned him to the ground.

"Drag him out...break his legs."

"Boss! Boss!! Spare me, spare me!"

As the door to the private room closed, the man couldn't help but rub his temples.

"Alex... he gave up being a good policeman, and he actually dared to come back..."

The man slammed his hand on the chair and shouted at a burly man in black.

"Go, kick everyone else out of the casino, and call those people over here, quick!"

"Yes."

Watching the burly man leave, the man frowned and unconsciously reached for the pistol in his pocket.

However, he still didn't take it out. He just sighed slightly, stood up, and looked out into the darkness.

His eyes were filled with rage.

"Where to go next?"

Igris kicked over a bar shelf, and swallowed hard as she smelled the strong aroma of alcohol.

She was a little tempted, but she would never drink it again.

"casino."

Alex laid down a man who had already passed out, and in front of Igris, he pried open a brand new bottle of rum and took a big gulp.

This made Igris's expression turn somewhat resentful, but she still didn't say anything.

"Hopefully this is the last destination."

"He should be there.

Igris tilted her head and asked with some curiosity.

"Who?"

"An old friend."

Alex slammed the bottle he was holding onto the ground and turned to smile at Igris.

"Let's go, it's time to see him."

……

When Igris and Alex arrived at the casino entrance, it was already closed.

Of course, it's obvious that this is just them rejecting Igris and Alex's arrival.

Unfortunately, uninvited guests often arrive without being asked.

Should we knock on the door?

Alex asked Igris with a smile on his face.

Igris didn't answer her, but instead walked around to the window and glanced inside.

“There are quite a few people waiting for us inside.”

Do they have guns?

Igris looked at it for a while, then shook her head.

"No, they're inside...eating."

Then, Igris frowned and turned to look at Alex.

"You knew all along that everything would happen here?"

"All I know is that some people would want us to know."
