The chair is shaped like a throne, the kind of design that can cause people with trypophobia to collapse on the spot just by looking at it.

"Are you a nobleman?" Lord Rom glanced at Morion's chair.

“No,” Moraine chuckled, “but I can be.”

Grandpa Rom was taken aback for a moment, but quickly understood and chuckled.

"You've got some nerve, kid. What's your name?"

“My name is Morion,” Morion replied, then pointed behind the counter. “Give me a juice.”

"Don't you drink?" Old Man Rom asked, struggling to move his massive body to get the juice.

"Most of my children don't like alcohol, so I don't drink either."

Apart from a few insects like fruit flies, most insect populations are indifferent to or even averse to alcohol, so Moraine doesn't drink either.

But Mr. Rom misunderstood.

“You already have a family? That’s truly pathetic. A life without alcohol is a wasted life,” said Grandpa Rom.

The juice was placed on the counter, and the bucket containing the juice was very large so that the giant could easily take it himself.

Then he took another equally large glass from under the counter, intending to pour the juice into it.

“No need, just give me the big bucket.” Morion interrupted him.

Mr. Rom was somewhat surprised.

"If someone didn't know better, they'd think you were asking me for some strong liquor."

He pushed the bucket directly in front of Moraine.

"The cup may be a little dirty, but I hope the upper class won't mind?" he asked, looking at the silk on Morion's body.

The wooden barrel, bigger than Morion's head, was just a drinking glass in Lord Rom's words.

"It doesn't matter, it's not me drinking it anyway." Morion reached out and gently pushed the barrel, which immediately tilted to the side.

A crack appeared in the side of the barrel, and the barrel was pushed inside.

"This bucket isn't free," Mr. Rom emphasized, without stopping him.

He made no comment on Moraine's behavior, just as he did not question the way Moraine spoke.

“I will pay,” Moraine replied simply.

"So what exactly are you doing here?" Old Man Rom repeated the question he had asked earlier. "Judging from your expression, you don't seem to have anything in particular you want to buy, so are you here to sell something?"

“Hmm…it’s not impossible,” Moraine replied thoughtfully. “Then let’s exchange it for some money.”

Morion couldn't very well say that someone was coming to kill him and that he was just there to watch the show.

He at least understands these basic social skills.

At that moment, the warehouse door was knocked on once again.

"Remember this, it's the code." Grandpa Rom said as he walked toward the door. "Next time you come, remember to knock in this order, or I won't open the door."

“Okay,” Morion replied, resting his head on his hand.

Emerging from behind the counter, the giant moved with the agility of a swallow towards the door. The old man, his face mysterious, pressed his ear against the door and said:

"Dealing with the big rat?"

"Use poison."

"Deal with the beluga whale?"

"Use a fishhook."

"To deal with us noble dragons?"

"Go eat shit."

To Rom's brief question, those outside the door could immediately give tasteless answers.

Soon, Mr. Rom unlocked the door with satisfaction.

As he opened the door, Mr. Rom glanced back at Morion.

In a country that worships dragons, sending a "noble dragon to eat shit" is naturally considered extremely disrespectful.

But Moraine is not from this country and has no religion.

Seeing that he didn't react, Grandpa Rom nodded in satisfaction.

“Ah…you really are here…” Natsuki Subaru’s voice came from outside the door.

PS:

I just got back from the hospital today. This piece only has a little over 2000 words; consider it half a chapter of leave request.

Then there's the question about the RE0 energy system.

Recently, I've received many comments questioning why I used "Mana" instead of "Magic".

No, I find this question very strange.

Because the original novel uses "Mana" instead of "magic power." I wrote fan fiction, not original work, so of course I'll use whatever the original text uses.

Some people say that mana and magic are the same thing, that one is a translation and the other is a transliteration.

This might be true in other works, but it's not the same thing in the Re:Zero universe. It's something like the life force of the world, similar to the Great Source of Type-Moon.

Most importantly, this is not a work translated from the UK; it's a Japanese manga.

In Japanese: "まりょく" and "まな" are two pronunciations.

And I almost got caught up in it; what I wrote in the original text was:

However, the "name" of the source of magical energy is not "magic power" as commonly found in Western fantasy works, but rather an energy in the atmosphere called "Mana."

Note that I am emphasizing the "name" here.

Let's set aside the question of whether mana in this world is equivalent to magic.

Whether it is equal to or not, Mana is Mana. Whether it is equal to magic, equal to spiritual power, or equal to spirituality, its "name" is Mana.

This was determined by the original author, and I can't change it.

As for why I emphasized this in the original text, the magic used here consumes mana, not magic power.

People who don't understand it will find the word "Mana" strange. When I first saw this word, I was also very confused. So I think it's a term that needs to be explained, otherwise people who haven't seen the relevant plot might not understand it.
