Even Zeus could not escape Hypnos's sleep. Death cannot take any god away, but sleep can drag every god into it.
It wasn't that Hypnos was more powerful than his brother, but rather that dreams often lead to beautiful realms.
If Hypnos were simply the god of nightmares, he would be destined to be as unfortunate as Thanatos. But as the ruler of dreams, he mostly brings peace, tranquility, and wonderfully beautiful dreams to people.
This is what makes the Greek gods so special; negative and pessimistic deities are basically considered second-rate!
But there are still unexpected events in all of this.
"Your Highness, you should know the origin of the Furies, shouldn't you?"
Sisyphus, with one hand resting on a rock, looked at Tsurugi and asked with a smile.
Tsurugi nodded slightly. The birth of the three Furies was actually related to Aphrodite. They were born in the pool of blood left after Uranus was dismembered, and were the sisters of the Guigantes giant.
Their very existence is rooted in murder—the murder of their own blood relatives.
The fall of Uranus was the first murder in this world. It was neither a matter of justice nor evil, but it was certainly the beginning of bloodshed.
Uranus, who constantly merged with Mother Earth and forbade other gods from having the right to procreate, even going so far as to trap children inside Gaia and prevent them from emerging, was by no means just.
But Cronus's murder had nothing to do with justice; it was merely an act of insubordination driven by a lust for power.
As Uranus fell to the heavens, he also laid down a curse that runs through Greek mythology—his father was destined to be overthrown by one of his own sons, just as his own father had been.
The three Furies were born from this blood and curse.
Their existence is ancient, and gods and mortals alike fear them, not because of their power, but because of the curse and existence bound to them.
The slaughter of one's own blood relatives will invite revenge.
Regardless of justice or injustice, the arrival of the three goddesses of vengeance will be summoned, and once a vow of revenge is made, they will pursue you relentlessly until the end of time.
Those who are avenged, especially those who have committed the crime of murdering their own blood relatives, are almost powerless to resist. Even the gods would not want to provoke these three troublesome sisters.
"Revenge is a negative and pessimistic thing. It does not represent justice, but it possesses a great power that is ubiquitous in our world."
Sisyphus stood up, slowly moved the stone beside him to the foot of the mountain, and smiled at Dongjiang, saying...
"Who isn't seeking revenge? The great Zeus sought revenge, his wife sought revenge, all gods seek revenge, mortals seek revenge, and even I have sought revenge."
"The power born from the ancient curse of the Father is the cause that entangles our world everywhere. He does not love this cause that propelled the world into existence, but rather it is the cause that caused Uranus to lose his power, allowing the gods to descend upon the world and truly transforming it into the diverse power we see today."
"Who can say it's a dark, erroneous force that can only exist in underground, shameful places? Stone, don't you agree?"
Stone:......
"Ha! You're right!!!"
As he spoke, he began pushing the stone toward the top of the mountain, continuing his daily work and punishments, but he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it.
Because he is genuinely happy. Perhaps in the eyes of others it is meaningless repetitive work, but he has found his own joy in it.
He will not stop the river, nor will he pray for relief and relaxation like Tantalus. Sisyphus will help this rebellious son of Hades; this is his struggle.
The result of God's punishment on him was manifested in his suffering; he could not escape this punishment, but he could change his mind to prevent suffering. Was this not also a kind of resistance against fate?
He was not a hero, but a wise man worthy of respect.
Tsurugi gave Sisyphus a slight nod, then headed off in a more distant direction.
Wandering through the boundless darkness of Tartarus, only those crimson eyes inherited from Hades can see through all the darkness that obscures one's vision.
His mastery of Hades' divine power allowed him to bypass the wailing, wandering dark spirits along the way and evade the deadly yet inconspicuous traps.
He continued forward, going upstream along the blood-red river of Styx, until he finally reached the exit of Tartarus.
After passing through a narrow and long dark tunnel, a huge stone temple suddenly appeared at the end, illuminated by the dim candlelight.

This is a temple dedicated to the ancient god of the abyss. The dome is so high that it almost disappears into the darkness. The pillars on both sides are entwined with long-dead vines. Occasionally, a phosphorescent blue light seeps out from the cracks in the stone, illuminating the hideous reliefs on the walls that have been deliberately destroyed.
Dongjiang could feel an extremely faint tremor coming from the ground beneath his feet. It was the breath of some slumbering creature deep within Tartarus turning over, resonating with the ceaseless flow of the Styx River further away.
At the far end of the temple, beneath the statue of the faceless god of the abyss, a figure leans against a broken stone platform.
She was tall and slender, with an unhealthy pallor of skin, and long, pale hair that cascaded over her shoulders and back. Her attire was bold and sharp.
The dark red leather belt only covered the vital parts, revealing a slender waist and long legs covered in battle marks. A long whip blade hung at her waist, with a thin golden chain wrapped around the handle. Her eyes were a very pale amber color, and they were half-closed at the moment, as if she was getting a little bored while waiting.
"Oh."
Mojila's voice was drawn out, with a lazy, almost cloying tone at the end.
"Awake again, die again, and come back again. 'Traversing the Heavens, Can You Be Smarter Than Me?' - Stunning writing, a plot full of twists and turns! Zagreus, you've walked this path more times than I've memorized it."
She slid down from the stone platform, her bare feet touching the cool floor tiles, her steps as light as if she were moving to some unseen rhythm. The whip blade twirled in her hand but remained sheathed, simply draped over her shoulder.
Should I praise your perseverance, or laugh at your lack of common sense?
Tsurugi stopped and looked at her from about twenty paces away. The dim firelight reflected in his heterochromatic eyes, one red and one green, like two completely different temperatures.
"Megira, you're still so free. It's always you waiting for me here. Don't the Three Furies have anything else to do?"
The eldest of the three vengeful goddesses chuckled softly, her voice like tiny hooks gently scraping against the eardrum.
"Other things? Yes, like punishing those mortals who disrespect the gods, hunting down those who commit patricide, or—"
She took two steps closer to him, tilted her head, and her amber eyes gleamed with a dangerous yet delightful light in the dim light.
"Watching some ignorant little prince bang his head against the wall again and again is the most interesting pastime I've had in hundreds of years."
"So, were you ordered to stop me, or did you come on your own?"
Mojila's smile deepened slightly, and she gently licked her lower lip with the tip of her tongue.
Is there a difference?
“Of course,” Tsurugi said. “If it’s under orders, then we’ll just go through the motions, like before. But if you wanted to come yourself—”
He paused, his tone carrying a hint of flippancy and mockery.
"Then don't cry later. Perfect timing, I have some things I want to verify with you."
Mojila paused for a moment, then burst out laughing. The laughter echoed in the empty temple, crisp yet with a hissing quality like a snake flicking its tongue.
"Have you grown bolder, little prince? It seems I've let you pass too many times in the past, causing you to misjudge the difference between us."
“You are Hades’ son, and you may have a bright future, but right now—you are just a naive child.”
With a flick of her wrist, the whip blade was drawn in the next instant, tracing an arc in mid-air with a faint, cold glint. The blade's edge gleamed with a faint blood-red sheen, the curse of the vengeful goddess; wounds inflicted by her would be difficult to heal, would fester repeatedly, and would bring pain more agonizing than death.
"Today, you will see the horrific scene that those who have committed unforgivable sins will see in their final moments."
Dongjiang blinked. Without his memories and accumulated knowledge, he had fallen to this whip blade countless times in the past five years. But what he possessed now was more than what that young and impetuous underworld prince had once wielded.
“Mojira”.
When he called her name, the flippancy in his voice disappeared, replaced by a faint yet serious tone.
"This time I will win against you, and then I will take away what is important to you without any mercy."
Mo Jila was stunned for a moment, then a fleeting blush seemed to flash across her cold yet beautiful face, but it was quickly replaced by anger and a hint of excitement.
"You're quite the talker, aren't you? Well, if I win, I'm going to OXXO you!!!"
Dongjiang didn't hear clearly what she was going to do next, but at that moment, she spread one of her wings and instantly attacked!
The Nemesis was so fast that she was almost invisible. Her whip blade shot out like a crimson lightning bolt, tearing through the air with a sharp shriek, aiming straight for Tsurugi's neck!
Her attacks were never merciful. It was her duty, and her instinct.

The second strike followed immediately—the whip blade made a strange turn in mid-air, returning like a living thing, and attacked Tsurugi's back from behind.
Tsurugi didn't turn around, but simply raised his right hand and gently clenched his fist.
"untie."
An unseen slash, unleashed by Hades' divine power, burst forth from his fingertips, striking precisely the middle of the whip blade.
A deafening clang of metal clashing against stone echoed through the temple. The whip blade was sent flying far away by the impact, and Mojira's wrist was slightly numb from the shock. She took a half step back, and genuine surprise finally shone in her amber eyes.
"Interesting. So this is your true control?" She looked at the tiny, almost imperceptible nick on her whip blade with interest.
"Hades' divine power? So, you finally truly know what kind of god you are?"
"No, it hasn't actually been decided yet," Tsugumi shook her head.
He was merely using Hades' divine power to simulate the negative power patterns he was familiar with. Given the limited amount of Hades' divine power within him, he had to be unusually careful with his resources. His choice to simulate the techniques from Jujutsu Kaisen was simply because he enjoyed using them.
Mo Jila raised her head to look at Dongjiang, the laziness in her eyes fading away, replaced by the excitement of a predator encountering its prey.
Dongjiang lowered her right hand, with extremely subtle blood-red magic flowing between her fingers, while Mojila flicked her wrist, raising her whip blade once more. This time, her aura had completely changed.
When the goddess of vengeance gets serious, the cursed power that surrounds her transforms into a visible crimson mist. This is the most primal power born from the pool of blood that flowed when Uranus fell, a manifestation of all sins of killing one's own blood relatives.
"Let me see your new power. How many seconds can you last?"
Before she finished speaking, she transformed into a blur, her whip blades raining down from all directions like a storm. The crimson light almost covered the entire Abyss Temple, and every strike from her hand precisely targeted Dongjiang's joints, throat, and heart.
Dongjiang stood still, his right hand with two fingers together, held upright in front of his chest.
"Domain Expansion—"
"The Tragic Song of the Hanged King!"
"?"
The sudden change startled Mo Jila, and the methods she had prepared to use to block the countless slashes instantly failed. In the next second, she found herself in a strange theater.

777. Domain Expansion: The Tragic Song of the Hanged King
"Zagreus, when did you start learning from that gloomy woman Hecate? How did you start practicing this effeminate witchcraft?"
The anticipated attack missed, and his high spirits plummeted. Mojila drew his whip, making a whistling sound as it cut through the air, and said with considerable impatience,
"I don't mind fighting you to the death, but I really can't display too much strength."
The sound of the thrush echoed softly.
