Gawain pressed his advantage, charging deep into the dense forest. Just as Beamont regained his footing, Gawain arrived in a single step, unleashing a powerful punch to Beamont's chest.

He didn't mean to take advantage, nor did he think that the target was bigger here and easier to hit. He just wanted to enjoy the thrill of combat, and his fighting style has always been straightforward.

By the way, I have to complain that Captain Bei didn't even try to entangle them. That's not aerodynamic at all and it really affects the speed!

Beatrice was speechless. With her sharp eyesight, she knew that Gawain hadn't done it on purpose, especially the second groping. Without her skillful turn, Gawain really wouldn't have been able to hit the bullseye.

That being said, a sharp pain in my chest and two complaints arose, exacerbating my inner displeasure.

As for Gawain's complaints, why didn't she just entangle herself with him? She usually has a knight's armor on her body, but she didn't want to attract unnecessary attention today because she was going on a long trip, so she changed into a women's suit that was a magical artifact.

Who knew Gawain was such a formidable fighter, with superhuman physical abilities and speed and strength comparable to hers, which is why she was full of openings during close combat.

In her anticipated battle, Gawain was defeated upon first meeting, and she quickly ended the sparring match without any protracted fighting.

It just goes to show that plans can't keep up with changes; now it's time to put on knight's armor...

I can't afford to lose face like that!

The battle continued, with the two figures locked in combat, rampaging through the primeval forest like bulldozers, snapping and breaking giant trees wherever they went, leaving not a single patch of intact ground.

During this time, Green made several angry protests, all of which were rejected by Lindsay.

Ten minutes later, Beatrice withdrew from the fight, her face long and cold, admitting that Gawain was stronger and that she had lost today.

There was no other way; she was too much of a target. If she continued to fight Gawain to the bitter end without armor or opening the arena card, the losses would only become more severe.

Cut your losses now, and try again next time!

Gao Wen, without batting an eye, withdrew his fist and looked away, inwardly thinking that this battle was a bit strange, as it went further and further as it went, and all of them were heading toward the same target.

Only Commander Bei, being a mature woman, decisively withdrew when she saw the situation was unfavorable, refusing to engage in a fight out of spite.

If it were some lord whose name I'd rather not mention, he would only complain about the high sunk costs, then frantically add more investment, get caught up in love, get angry and start acting like a liar, and finally break down the defenses.

The market situation!

As for Beatrice's suggestion to fight another day, it was a mission offered to him on his own initiative, with experience rewards being forced upon him, so he had no reason to refuse.

You have completed the mission [Knight Princess's Defeat - Part 3]

[Mission Evaluation: S+ (You keenly observed Commander Bei's weaknesses and brought the essence of the encirclement and attack tactic to its fullest extent. What seemed like a reckless attack was actually a control of the rhythm, firmly keeping the situation in your own hands.)]

[Mission Reward...]

[A rating of S+ will double the task reward]

"Is this an attempt to whitewash the situation? This is a frame-up!"

Gawain cursed the dog system in his heart. He had not discovered any weaknesses, nor controlled anything, nor held anything firmly in his hands. Don't use such ambiguous descriptions.

Also, the idioms are not used in this way, and there are typos.

"Dear host, would you like to modify the mission evaluation and reissue it?"

"Well, that's fine then. Just don't do it again next time."

Gawain mumbled something to the effect of the comment, and seeing that Beamont's expression wasn't very good, he wisely refrained from offering a round of polite flattery. Instead, he turned away from Green, who was clenching his fists and approaching, and stood obediently next to Lindsay.

He was neither arrogant nor complacent, and even in triumph, he was not conceited. How could such a promising talent have been picked up by the Temple of All Things so early?

Lindsay was extremely excited, thinking to herself that it wasn't too late now, and she could just treat it as Gawain practicing his skills at the Temple of All Things.

On the other side, Green fumed as he approached Beamont, cautiously glancing over to see that the buttons on the woman's suit jacket, which was about to burst open, were still undone. He then said indignantly, "Commander Beamont, I saw it all! Don't worry, we won't take this lying down. When we get back, I'll tell the brothers in the Judgment Knights, and we'll all..."

boom!

A cannon shot rang out, and something seemed to fly out.

Gawain turned his head and saw Beamont calmly lower his fist and stand there with his arms crossed.

It seems like something is missing.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

Honghe Town.

Looking down from above, the rolling mountains are barren, covered with jagged scars from physical quarrying, exposing gray-white rock layers that are particularly glaring even in the setting sun.

Descending down the valley with its cracks on all sides, the dilapidated, square town lies quietly on the edge of the mine, like a skeleton.

Most of the houses in the town have collapsed, and the once bustling streets are now crowded with withered grass. As the wind blows through, a few dilapidated doors creak and groan, telling strangers passing by about the town's past glory.

The red river that once made the town famous is now dry, with large sections of its riverbed cracked and rusty mining equipment scattered haphazardly.

The town's residents had long since moved away with the miners; the only one remaining was the necromancer who ate at the children's table.

Unable to capture the market in big cities, they settled in Honghe Town, where there was no competitive pressure. They built a church ruled by death, calling themselves the "Church of the Dead," and went hungry for three days straight, their motto being "I'll do whatever makes me happy."

This is the Church of the Dead in the eyes of outsiders: a group of disillusioned people who came to a disillusioned town, forcefully defeated all their competitors, and achieved a unified faith in the market.

It's about entertaining yourself.

However, after Lindsay's investigation, it was discovered that the Church of the Dead was just a smokescreen. This place was one of the outer strongholds of the Dark Church, with an archmage stationed there, making it a perfect place for Alliance members to practice.

Boost morale and gather intelligence along the way.

Lindsay confidently assured them that the core of the stronghold was the church, and that once they captured it and the Archmage was taken alive, the mission would be a great success.

Before Lindsay could assign tasks, the expressionless Beamont stepped into Red River Town and strode toward the church.

He doesn't seem very happy and desperately needs a great mage to vent his frustrations.

Green followed closely behind.

Gawain blinked, not asking what was wrong with Commander Bei, it wasn't important. He turned to Lindsay and said, "Are you alright? I have a vague feeling of unease, like there's something wrong with your intelligence."

"I'm a professional!"

Lindsay was certain that his intelligence was accurate: "Besides, with two archmages from the Natural Holy Court scouting ahead, if any problems arise, we can handle them calmly."

"I hope so."

"Hey, if you don't believe me about my temper, let's make a bet."

Lindsay's eyes widened. The Dawn Church didn't mince words; they were just taking advantage of Gawain's outsider status and lack of local knowledge.

"Ah, this..."

I'm so embarrassed!

Gao Wen immediately accepted the bet. It was a benefit offered to him on his own initiative. If he didn't accept it, how could he do justice to his stubborn and unfortunate son?

This is in the bag! x2

……

Deep in an abandoned mine.

At the end of the dark mine tunnel, a hidden world unfolds.

The magnificent palace was built against the hollowed-out mountainside. In the center, a sizable magic tower rose from the ground, its body shimmering with dark runes and emanating a strong aura of gloom.

In the dimly lit and oppressive reception room deep within the palace, two figures sat facing each other across a long table, like two lifeless sculptures.

The man on the left, dressed in a sharp, fitted black suit, is toying with a strangely shaped ram's head scepter.

He was handsome with deep-set features, a face as white as paper, and skin so pale that it was almost bloodless. His slicked-back hair was meticulously combed, and his attire exuded an almost morbid rigor.

Behind him, three figures stood silently like ghosts.

One of them was dressed in a dark bishop's robe, with his hood half-closed and his face hidden in the shadows. He was the archmage Lindsay had mentioned, the one who was stationed at the outer outpost.

On the right side of the long table, a woman sat gracefully, appearing to be the age of a young girl with delicate features and a very youthful appearance.

Her skin was dazzlingly white, like the finest cold jade. She wore a long black dress with layers of lace and dark patterns that cascaded down to the ground, creating a powerful and aloof aura.

In her slender hands, she held a red parasol, its surface adorned with dark purple and dark green velvet.

The glaring scarlet became the only bright color in this dark space.

Behind her stood three figures, their murderous aura undisguised, confronting the attendant on her left and pushing the tense, dark atmosphere to its extreme.

"Haze, I didn't expect you to be doing so well in this remote place. You even built yourself a palace. You didn't embezzle public funds, did you?" the pale-skinned girl said slowly.

"Alina, we're not that close. Why are you showing up here out of the blue? Is there some official business?"

"Of course there are. Last month, the stronghold of Locke Village in Thousand Mountains Fortress was reduced to ruins, and the person in charge, Bader, is still missing..."

Alina said coldly, "It's not a big deal if it's just Baldr, but the eldest prince, Pedro, who should have appeared, has disappeared without a trace. You were in charge of investigating this matter, but there has been no follow-up so far. I have reason to suspect that you have betrayed my father."

"Hmph, someone of your status has no right to interfere with me. You've abandoned your post and come to my territory to provoke me..."

boom!

Haze was speaking when he suddenly heard an alarm sounding from the magic tower. He frowned and turned to the archmage in his bishop's robes: "Falco, go and see if some ignorant adventurers have attacked the church."

Falco bowed and left, but returned a moment later with a solemn expression.

"The people of the Natural Holy See attacked the church. Two archmages, one of whom was the Grand Master of the Knights of Judgment, Beamont."

"What are the people from the Natural Holy Court doing in the Kingdom of Vis? Haze, have you caused trouble outside?" Alina watched the spectacle with a cold smile.

"What does this have to do with you?"

Haze responded with a cold laugh. Their relationship as colleagues was rather ordinary. He waved his hand and pulled in mid-air, tearing down a black curtain. Using the magic tower's 'omniscient eye', he saw the terrible state of the church after the attack.

Along with them, two figures hidden in the withered grass on the outskirts of the town also appeared in the curtain.

There was another young man I didn't recognize...

"The Golden Church... Lindsay..."

Haze frowned. The sudden appearance of three archmages, representing two different factions, and their invasion of his territory without warning, made him wonder if the Dark Church's stronghold had truly been exposed.

The question is, how much does the other side know?

Alina became even more gloating: "Hatz, trouble's at our doorstep. Need any help?"

"Just mind your own business."

"Then you'd better be thorough. What if someone escapes and leaks the news..."

"I have my own ideas!"
