"Something terrible has happened! Seven-Star Hunters have appeared on the lake next to the school! Teacher Lin Yu has already led a team there!"

"What? Aren't you afraid of getting ganged up on and beaten to death for doing this so openly? Let's go, let's join the fun."

Shenwu Shou was taken aback and quickly called Chang Yan, who was looking down and seemingly doing nothing, to go and see what was going on.

Lakeside —

A thick fog, appearing out of nowhere, obscured the slanting moonlight, and an incredibly eerie castle stood unbelievably on the lake's surface, making people exclaim that it was all illogical.

The castle's style is very similar to that of a medieval castle, full of Gothic style.

Everyone knows what Gothic architecture is like. It teeters on the edge of the sacred and the evil in the inner world, depicting the struggle between love and despair, the screaming pain and lucidity.

It is both sacred and dark.

Gothic architecture initially used darkness, fear, loneliness, and despair as its artistic themes. Vampires were also a popular element at the time, and people were keen to associate vampires with this type of architecture. So, vampires became inseparable from Gothic architecture; otherwise, it would lose its soul.

After all, when you see a gloomy and terrifying Gothic building, you're bound to have a fantastical thought like, "Could there be vampires inside?"

The judges stood around the lake, watching warily the young woman who stood before the castle gate, surrounded by bats.

"Heh, so many people right from the start?"

"Camilla the vampire, surrender!"

Lin Yu stood before the arbiter, shouting righteously, appearing quite upright.

But his next sentence completely ruined his image.

"If you don't surrender, I'll have to have a dozen of my men beat you until you surrender!"

Well, the other students were completely baffled, but the judges were used to it.

Lin Yu doesn't care about any so-called righteous aura; the key is to defeat you with minimal cost!

"How terrifying, Lin Yu, the Great Arbiter. But after all this, do you still dare to say such a thing?"

The vampire woman's smile widened, and she clapped her hands lightly.

Several coffins were erected from the ground, and the coffin lids were slowly opened to reveal the sleeping students inside.

Students from several dormitories, including those in blue, yellow, and red, clearly looked like they were being held hostage.

"It's Yamada! And—"

"What--!!"

"That's despicable!"

Lin Yu was also in a dilemma. He couldn't very well do what Russia did—kill the hostages and then capture the kidnappers...

Please address me as "cautious".

Camilla clapped his hands again, and the coffins were closed again, slowly sinking into the floor.

"Alright, let's begin then, a blood-soaked night of revelry!"

"No one other than Lin Yu is allowed to enter, otherwise, hehehe~"

With a wave of his hand, the vampire Camus unleashed countless black bats that swarmed wildly around the castle, creating a scene straight out of a medieval fantasy film.

The heavy, silent castle gates creaked open slowly.

The interior is visibly luxurious, but for some reason, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Perhaps it's a lack of vitality...

"Seven-Star Key? What's that?"

Shenwu Shou looked bewildered, then his eyes widened as Chang Yan calmly took out a strangely shaped key, showed it to him, and walked inside.

"Hmm? Why do you have that?"

Chang Yan, who had reached the door, pondered for a moment, then answered in a calm tone:

"Maybe it's because I'm handsome?"

The castle's interior is large, but the narrow windows contrast sharply with the vast space, making the interior dimly lit and giving it a mysterious and gloomy feel.

The vaulted ceilings and walls are adorned with artistic carvings and paintings, but unfortunately, perhaps due to the passage of time and lack of careful maintenance, the carvings and paintings appear somewhat blurred and damaged, adding to the desolate sense of decay.

The castle was very empty, but its scale suggested that it may have once been glorious, but had now fallen into decline.

"This place feels so eerie..."

Asuka Tenjouin frowned and said, while Daichi Misawa, standing beside her, looked at the luxurious decorations around them in surprise and said in an uncertain tone:

"I think I've seen these things in a book before. They seem to be utensils used by medieval European nobles. I wonder if they're real or fake..."

Although the top student, Misawa, is most interested in mathematics and other calculation-related things, as a top student, he also reads books on other subjects in his spare time. Some history books contain photos of these antiques, which is quite remarkable that he was able to remember them.

"Of course it's genuine. To pass off a fake as a counterfeit would be an insult to the honor of our noble bloodline."

Camilla slowly walked down the stairs, now dressed in a low-cut red tank top.

If the single boys in the school saw this, they would probably scream with excitement, but no one here would be interested in this woman.

Because they knew perfectly well that the woman before them was a non-human monster who took human lives!

"It's out, meow!"

Teacher Daitokuji was shivering while holding his fat orange cat; his acting skills were off the charts.

Little did they know, this expert could easily defeat all the Seven Star Hunters by himself, and incidentally take down all the students and teachers in the school as well. If things went wrong, even a common saying could backfire.

"It seems you're all here, good. Although I'd love for you to hand over your keys for the sake of those hostages, doing so would truly be letting down that sir."

Camilla's words made their expressions quite serious; if that was the case, they really didn't know whether to hand it over or not.

Fortunately, the vampire abandoned his plan, but could that person be the mastermind behind their Seven Star Hunters?

"Come on, choose your first opponent to duel with!"

"The victor may proceed on the path forward, while the soul of the loser will be sealed within this puppet!"

Camilla held up a faceless doll, its bright red eyes staring straight at Caesar.

It's clear that what she wants most is Caesar Liang's soul.

"Am I the target? Then-----"

"No, wait, Caesar Ryo, please let me handle this round!"

Kaiser Ryo naturally noticed Camilla's greedy eyes, but as the top student in the school, he was not afraid of the so-called dark duel.

But Professor Chronos reached out and stopped him. The usually comedic figure suddenly became serious again, and he even stopped uttering his usual verbal tic, "None."

"Allowing the enemy to infiltrate the school and kidnap several students as hostages is my dereliction of duty and a responsibility I must bear."

"I once said that you should fear him, and then defeat him, but—the Dark Duel is a duel that you students should not engage in, a duel that should not exist!"

Professor Chronos activated the Duel Disk, staring intently at Camilla's smiling face.

"Dueling is supposed to be fun and exciting; it's a way for people to convey their feelings through their cards under the light. But dark duels are filled with evil and despair—"

The professor clenched his fist; he had only one philosophy regarding dark duels—

"It shouldn't even exist!!!"

Professor Chronos's attitude towards the Dark Duel was one of complete denial.

As he said, duels are joyful and fun, a way for duelists' souls to collide and their wills to fight, not a means to satisfy dirty desires.

"Hahahaha, you fool, actually wanting the Dark Duel to disappear completely. Fine, originally I wanted that school's top student to be my first collectible, but since that's the case, I'll use you, this delusional teacher, as my first sacrifice as a Seven-Star Hunter!"

Camilla laughed, revealing his fangs, and unfolded his Duel Disk, which was attached to his arm and began to unfold section by section.

She was both mocking Professor Chronos and expressing her anger towards him.

Because she now carries the last hope of the vampire race.

She is the only vampire left in the world...

"Duel!" x2

"First strike! My turn, draw a card!"

"Summon [Vampire Wizard]!"

The vampire witch, with her pale green skin and four enormous, sharp claws adorning her black robe, could easily be mistaken for someone being held captive by a monster.

"Place two cards face down to end the round."

Although it looked impressive, the scene was surprisingly simple.

"My turn, draw a card!"

"Activate the Spell Card [Demon Sanctuary], Special Summon 1 "Metal Demon Token" (Fiend-Type, DARK, Level 1, ATK 0/DEF 0), then activate the Field Spell Card [Gear Street]!"

The roaring gears turned relentlessly, and the mechanical streets occupied the space of the castle, the cold machinery seeming out of place with its surroundings.

"As long as this card is in the Field Zone, both players can reduce the number of 'Ancient Gear' monsters required for Summoning by 1."

"Using the 'Metal Demon Derivative' on the field as a sacrifice, I summon [Ancient Mechanical Giant]."

The long-dormant giant was activated once more from its slumber, and the detectors on its head lit up with a blinding red light.

Its towering form stood kneeling, its massive size, intended for use only by nobles, was simply too small to be contained within the castle.

"It's here! Professor Chronos's ace monster!"
