"Next, although [Elemental HERO Shadow Mist Lady] still has an effect even if it goes to the graveyard, I won't activate it yet. Now let's resolve the effect of [Angel's Charity], draw a card, Marufuji Sho."

Seeing the inexplicable smile on Chang Yan's face, Marufuji Sho couldn't help but shudder, his heart filled with a sense of foreboding.

"Draw, draw a card..."

"At this moment, the effect of [Masked Hero Dark Claw] is activated - once per turn, if the opponent adds a card from their deck to their hand outside of their draw phase, you can activate this effect and banish 1 random card from their hand."

The latest Duel Disk has a random function, but the issue of who goes first still seems to require human intervention to be recognized; they just won't provide a dice roll or rock-paper-scissors to determine who goes first.

Seto Kaiba's original words were as follows—

"Hmph, the fight for the first turn is also a test of the duelists' abilities. We can't let them always rely on machines. Does that mean that in the future, duels will only require the machine to do some calculations to determine the winner?"

At that moment, just like Chang Yan had said before, a glint flashed in Dark Claw's eyes, and he snatched one of Marufuji Sho's cards with lightning speed.

As the saying goes, I caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye; it was a [fusion].

"Ah, my card!"

"Wow, that's a really amazing effect."

As Judai said this, most of the people from the red dormitory also came out to watch. After all, Tsukishiro Domyouji was their legendary figure. It was unbelievable that he had been upgraded from the red dormitory to the blue dormitory in one fell swoop.

"Then, then I chose to discard these two cards...wait, how did they end up in the banishment zone?"

Marufuji Sho stuffed the card into the card processing slot, only to be shocked to see his card being swiped towards the banished zone, and immediately became flustered.

"Don't panic, Sho Marufuji. This isn't a machine malfunction; it's the true power of [Masked Hero Dark Claw]—as long as this card is in the Monster Zone, cards sent to your opponent's Graveyard are banished instead!"

Chapter 259 Hero Henxin!

Marufuji's robot deck is really...

------

"Cards sent to the graveyard are banished instead of going to the graveyard... Ah, that means my cards..."

"Yes, that's right, all the cards you're going to throw into the graveyard, except for...! Hehehehehehehehe..."

As usual, he spoke slowly and deliberately, then deliberately let out a standard villainous laugh, causing Maru Fujisho's face to turn green.

"In that case...wouldn't my [Fusion Release] and [Cry of the Living Dead] be...?"

"It's all useless now, hahaha, keep going, Marufu Sho, don't tell me you're giving up at this point!"

"I won't give up because of something like this!"

Provoked by Chang Yan's words, Marufuji Shou shouted loudly and then forcefully slapped a card out. In his excitement, he lost control and almost fell over.

"I activate the field spell [Giant Robot City]!"

"Boom!"

As the foundation shifted, a city teeming with traffic machines slowly replaced the surrounding scenery, with elevated bridges rising and countless vehicles rushing back and forth on them.

"Set one card face-down, then activate the effect of [Giant Machine City]—You can target 1 card on your field other than this card; destroy that card, and add 1 'Machine' card from your Deck to your hand."

"Destroy my face-down card and add [Steam Robot] to your hand from your deck."

Marufuji Sho's hand cards: 4

"Next, activate the Spell Card [Fusion]!"

Does he have a second fusion card?

"Use the [Steam Robot], [Drill Robot], and [Submarine Robot] from your hand as fusion materials—"

"Rumble the earth, delve deep underground, and forge an ancient path! Fusion Summon—[Super Transportation Robot - Giant Drill]!"

"Sizzle sizzle sizzle—!"

A sickening electric whirring sound came from underground as a huge, astonishing drill pierced the earth, a massive drill man viciously aiming the drill at Dark Claw, seemingly as if to rip a hole in its body.

"Battle! [Super Transport Robot - Giant Drill] attacks [Masked Hero Dark Claw], Super Drill Thrust!"

"Sizzle sizzle sizzle—!"

The ear-piercing electric roar rang out again, and the massive machine rapidly turned its tracks, quickly catching up with the fleeing Dark Claw.

die--!

The rapidly spinning drill bit, with its unstoppable force, pierced through the hero's abdomen before Dark Claw could react. The sheer destructive power of the massive drill bit was unimaginable, instantly killing the hero on the spot.

"End of round."

"Sack, at the end of this turn, reveal your face-down card, Quick-Play Spell [Mask Change], and put on your mask, [Elemental HERO Super Armored Warrior]!"

Seeing his comrade's sacrifice, Iron Man endured his back pain, picked up the only memento left by his comrade, and then looked at the machine opposite him with anger and determination before suddenly putting the mask on his face.

"Hidden beneath that mask, transform the earth's gifts into the power to protect others!"

"Hero Henxin—!"

I will carry on your legacy!

"【Masked Hero Diamond】!"

Amidst dazzling light, a silver-white outfit covered the entire body, with precious and eye-catching diamonds inlaid at the core of the armor, providing a continuous source of energy.

"A new masked hero!"

"This one is handsome too!"

"Activate the effect of [Elemental HERO Grimlock] - If this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the Graveyard by a Spell Card effect, you can target 1 "HEAT" monster in your Graveyard other than 'Elemental HERO Grimlock'; Special Summon that monster in Defense Position."

"Return to the battlefield! [Elemental Heroes: Shadow Mist Lady]!"

Near the spot where Dark Claw was pierced by the drill, Shadow Mist Girl jumped out of the hole that Iron Man had previously punched and stood next to the Diamond.

In the nick of time, she used her escape technique to leave the armor and hide in the tunnel that Iron Man had opened, thus surviving.

How dare you make me look like this? Just you wait!

"The effect of Elemental HERO Shadow Mist Lady is activated, adding the Quick-Play Spell 'Form Change' from the Deck to the hand."

"A new transformation magic?!"

"Ha, ha, ha... Hey, Doman, what are you doing—a duel? And it's a new card I've never seen before!"

At this moment, Kamui also ran over, panting heavily. He was surprised to see Chang Yan fighting against a student from Osiris Red, and using a new card that he had never seen before. This made him, like Yuki Jaden, extremely excited.

"My turn, draw a card."

"Although my deck is a Masked Hero deck, I'm still here under the guise of special training to experiment with a new deck, so—"

Hey, hey, hey, didn't you say something you shouldn't have?

"Normal Summon Elemental HERO Flamewaker, activate its effect—If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate this effect. Add 1 'Fusion' card from your Deck to your hand."

The Flame Fist, a fire hero with a mask on his face and flames burning on his head, has arrived!

"Next, it's time for the main event, Marufuji Sho! Activate the Spell Card [Fusion]—use [Elemental HERO Flameman] and [Elemental HERO Skyman] on the field as Fusion Materials—"

As the saying goes, with a wave of the hand, the two heroes merged into the vortex of light.

"The raging winds that sweep across the land will extinguish the flames of all struggle, and the winds of justice will sweep away all evil!"

"Fusion Summoning - [Elemental Heroes: Tornado Warrior]!"

A visible storm spirals upwards from the ground, giving birth to a powerful storm of heroes.
