When a card game club is pulled into the Yu-Gi-Oh! world by the system

Wouldn't you trade the lives of a bunch of strangers for your chance to live forever?

But you don't know what the side effects of this opportunity might be—

But you don't know if Dartz can beat them—

But you don't know what will happen to you after Dartz is defeated—

Although the system's mission was for us to destroy the god Orichalcos, and the mission penalty was none, Chang Yan didn't believe the system would be so kind as to let him off the hook.

Coupled with the moral values ingrained by years of education, Chang Yan still chose to refuse with considerable backbone.

As for feigning agreement and then betraying one's friend?

Come on, they know magic...

"So you'll refuse, huh? But don't rush. In your words, there's nothing a duel can't solve."

Darz showed an expression of expectation, but what she said next shocked Chang Yan once again.

Dartz, what's wrong with you? Have you become a duelist-brained person too?

"Huh? But I don't have a deck! I don't even have a Duel Disk!"

He spoke in a panic, but the chosen one of the gods pointed to his arm, and the mysterious smile widened again.

Didn't you bring it?

"What?! This, this is—!"

Chang Yan looked in the direction Dazi pointed and was then utterly astonished.

In his hand, a Duel Disk made of black mist and a set of unremarkable cards inserted into it appeared out of nowhere.

when!?

What, what on earth is going on?!

Chang Yan felt overwhelmed at this moment, as so many strange and unusual things came rushing at him all at once, making him truly irritable.

He wanted to take a look at the deck, but the Duel Disk remained open.

The duel has begun!

"I'll go first and draw a card."

Before Chang Yan could react, Darz pulled out a card.

"Pay 2000 Life Points to activate the Spell Card [Countdown to the End]!"

Dazi LP: 8000→6000

Countdown?

Wait, by the way, this health is 8000!

what is the problem?

It's a complete mess! Utter chaos!

Chang Yan clutched his head in despair, needing to vent his emotions in this way.

Gan!

"20 turns after this card is activated, you win this duel."

Countdown: 19

Twenty ominous flames formed a circle, one of which went out immediately.

[Countdown to the End] Adjustment information: The total number of turns in which this card is successfully processed is 1 turn.

This card is one of the few special victory cards in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but why would Dartz use this card?

Where is the invincible Orichalcos deck that was promised? The Orichalcos cards printed by ZZ Museum back in the day left an indelible impression on us amateur players.

"Set one card face down, end the turn."

No monsters appeared; Dartz simply set one card face-down...

"My turn, draw a card!"

These are my cue cards—

"Activate the Spell Card [One of Fate] - Both players choose 1 card from their own Deck. Then, both players randomly choose 4 cards from each other's Deck. Each player shuffles their chosen 1 card and the opponent's chosen 4 cards together, randomly selects 1 card from those 5 cards, confirms with both players, and adds it to their own hand. The remaining cards return to their own Deck."

The card's greatest function is not anything else, but to examine both players' decks.

First, here's the one I chose.

"Hey, hey, hey, what on earth is this deck...?"

Chang Yan glanced at his deck and then gave a very strange look.

Next, we look at the opponent's deck.

Perhaps it was the effect of magic, but their decks just flew out of thin air.

"...This is almost the same as mine."

After reviewing the decklist, Chang Yan muttered to himself.

Yes, their decks are quite similar.

"Heh heh heh, fate is truly wondrous... Dartz, tell me, what exactly do you want! Answer me!!!"

Chang Yan roared at Dazi with a ferocious expression. The surge of blood made his face turn red, and his excitement made him start to breathe heavily.

"You'll know when this duel is over, you'll know what you want to know."

Dartz smiled meaningfully and left with these words.

"Haa, haa... Is that so? Then pay 2000 and activate the magic card [Countdown to the End]!"

Twenty more ominous flames flickered eerily in the sky, one of which suddenly went out.

"Then activate 3 [Time Leap] spell cards—skip three turns for both players, and then—"

As the saying goes, he deliberately paused at this point, and Darz and the others naturally took over his words.

"Open the face-down card, Trap Card [Fate's Fire Bell] - Advance the countdown of 1 card by 1 turn. I declare [Countdown to the End], therefore the countdown of the card [Countdown to the End] advances by 1 turn."

The wheel of fate appeared high above the two, and the burning flames accelerated the countdown to the end.

"Next, we'll deal with the effects of the three [Time Leap] cards. Since we're still processing one card's worth of effects, therefore—"

Because we are currently in the final settlement process for [Time Leap], [Countdown to the End] will only be settled after the previous settlement is complete.

For example, if you use "Temptation of Darkness" to draw 5 copies of Sealed Exodia, the victory effect of Sealed Exodia will not be resolved at this time. Instead, you must first resolve the effect of "Temptation of Darkness" which banishes one DARK monster from your hand.

"[The Countdown to the End] has begun to calculate its effects, therefore—"

Countdown: 18→17→0

Countdown: 19→18→0

"draw."

The final flames burned out completely at this moment, and then the darkness of destruction swept over Changyan.

That darkness didn't seem to carry any overwhelming malice...

"Come on, let me see what all this is all about!"

Chang Yan had long noticed that something was wrong with him, but he was powerless to solve it, so he could only let it go.

but--

Dragged into a dark passage in a daze, I encountered Dartz without knowing what was going on, engaged in a bewildered duel, and—

What is about to happen is inevitable!

The darkest phantom materialized, with jet-black raven feathers draped behind the black figure. A mysterious black mist, obscuring reality, filled the hood of the face, and two blood-red eyes were hidden behind the hazy and illusory black mist.

"Everything is inevitable."

At that moment, Chang Yan's consciousness fell into a deep sleep.

What kind of trouble will this being cause with Dartz...?

Chapter 229 It's often said... evil depravity? ? ?

The main character and Dartz are causing trouble together. I bet you've never seen this kind of plot before, right? (laughs)

Also, I've been catching up on anime lately, and I finished watching *The End of the World*...

Chtholly!!!

I'm on night shift tonight, but still need to be warned about 4K!

------

Chang Yan has disappeared.

And judging from the situation, she was kidnapped without any resistance.

A miniature pistol was found under the pillow, but the card deck and Duel Disk were gone, and even the clothes were left in the room, as if they were taken away while wearing pajamas and with the Duel Disk.

Based on various recommendations, they arrived at the following answers—

1. Someone crossed the defense line and entered Chang Yan's room to engage in a dark duel. Chang Yan was defeated and disappeared into the darkness, leaving no trace of his body.

2. Dartz unleashed his ultimate move, a single Orichalcos Heavenly Smash that banished him to another dimension.

3. Chang Yan accepted Da Zi's guidance and became a traitor, defecting to the enemy.

4 .......

In short, Daz is highly suspicious.

"Damn, as they say, this guy just disappeared like that..."

Frustrated, Eunuch Cao slammed his fist on the table. They weren't stupid; everyone could guess what would happen to Chang Yan after his sudden, mysterious disappearance at this time…

If it's just that their soul is sealed by the Orichalcos barrier, that's fine; they can be freed after defeating the god of Orichalcos. But if they're swallowed by darkness...

That would truly be a complete disaster...

"Hey, system, I have a question for you. Is Chang Yan still alive?"
