"OwO?" Upon hearing Fran's words, Yuhaka looked at Fran with a puzzled expression, as if he didn't understand why Fran would suddenly ask him this question. Fran seemed to see Yuhaka's doubt and explained, "Although Fran has been with Master for a few days, Fran has found that she doesn't seem to know much about Master's affairs. This makes Fran a little curious. Where was Master originally from?"

Upon hearing Fran's question, Yuhaka gave her an "OwO?" look. However, Yuhaka had no reason to hide anything and told Fran about his own situation. When Fran heard that Yuhaka came from another world, she had an "I see" look on her face and said, "I see. Fran has heard that heroes also come from other worlds. I didn't expect that Master also came from another world..." Fran was quite surprised to hear this. However, Fran was also very curious about other worlds. After all, although she had heard that many heroes came from other worlds, the problem was that the people here didn't know much about the contents of other worlds. And the things they heard from the heroes of the past seemed to be very few related to other worlds. They were all not very clear about this.

However, Yuhaka wasn't particularly interested in such things. After all, to Yuhaka, those other worlds were basically similar to the world where his Meru Cat Restaurant was located, right? Thinking about it that way, it didn't seem like an interesting place, so Yuhaka wasn't interested. Of course, unless there were some delicious dishes or special ingredients, Yuhaka might be interested, but right now...

After the two finished showering, Fran couldn't wait to sit down at the dining table in the living room, while Yuhaka took out some dishes that he had prepared beforehand and they were ready to eat. It was only because the Dimensional Tunnel's ability to stop time in the objects inside it that Yuhaka's cooking could be paused and served at the next mealtime.

However, this ability has both advantages and disadvantages. After all, some things need to take a certain amount of time to become delicious, and Yuhaka also places them in the imaginary space.

Yuhaka placed the curry rice he had prepared earlier in front of Fran. Upon seeing the curry rice that Yuhaka had taken out, Fran looked at the dish in front of her with a puzzled expression and asked, "Master, what kind of dish is this?"

Upon hearing Fran's question, Yuhaka explained, "It's curry, a dish that Yuu really likes OwO~" After hearing Yuhaka's answer, Fran looked at the steaming curry rice in front of her with a puzzled expression. However, the rich aroma of spices wafting from the curry rice made Fran feel a bit hungry. After Yuhaka handed Fran a spoon, Fran couldn't wait to start enjoying it.

After finishing several large bowls of curry rice, Fran patted her round little belly and couldn't help but sigh. Yuhaka put the dishes they had finished eating into the imaginary space, where the cats would wash them. Yuhaka didn't need to wash any dishes; the cats could handle it.

After everything was tidied up, Fran jumped onto the big bed impatiently and patted the bed beside her, urging Yuhaka to hurry up and get on. Yuhaka's little head looked puzzled by Fran's urging, clearly wondering what Fran was so eager for. After Yuhaka climbed onto the bed, Fran, holding her pillow, looked at Yuhaka and asked, "Master, how was my performance today?"

Upon hearing the questions, Yuhaka understood why Fran was asking him these questions. It was obvious that she wanted to know how he had performed in the daytime combat training. By Yuhaka's standards, Fran had performed quite well. Although she had been attacked by the enemy and suffered some injuries, her injuries had mostly healed after using the medicine Yuhaka had prepared for her. Finally, before Yuhaka and Fran left, Yuhaka treated Fran again, so there was no need to worry about Fran's health.

However, Fran's expressions when dealing with enemies during the day were quite good. Apart from the water ghosts and giant frogs they encountered earlier, Yuhaka and Fran also encountered goblins and gnolls. Gnolls are not like beastmen like Fran. If beastmen are humans who have become like wild beasts, then gnolls are humanoid creatures transformed from gnolls by demonic power. In terms of species, they are basically not the same species.

Moreover, gnolls are creatures that cannot join the human camp like orcs; they are destined to be the targets of adventurers' attacks and extermination as evil monsters.

Compared to ordinary goblins, these gnolls are a very troublesome enemy. Their treacherous and cunning nature is just like that of goblins. Moreover, they are much larger than ordinary goblins, are good at group tactics, and enslave weaker monsters as slaves and food supplies. In a sense, they are just like goblins.

However, gnolls are far more dangerous than ordinary goblins, as they are capable of performing evil rituals like demon sacrifices. The biggest concern when attacking gnolls is that they might summon some dangerous demon through a demon sacrifice. In that case, the novice adventurers would be no match for the demons from hell. Of course, this is assuming they are dealing with ordinary demons; if it is a high-level demon, even the entire adventurers' guild might not be able to defeat it.

The gnolls that Yohaka and Fran encountered did not have this ability. After all, they did not have suitable offerings to perform the demon sacrifice ritual. Moreover, the imaginary shadow that Yohaka himself had created was enough to prevent some low-level demons from coming to the real world by teleportation magic. The offerings required for high-level demons were not a small amount, so it was basically impossible for those gnolls to summon high-level demons.

"Hmm...not bad, just a bit too many injuries OwO~" When Fran asked for her evaluation, Yuhaka's answer was not bad, but because Fran had been injured too many times, her agility was still a bit lacking. Yuhaka was a little dissatisfied with Fran's tendency to forget to be aware of her surroundings while fighting, since Fran had not learned to provide herself with protection. This was why Yuhaka lowered Fran's score.

Hearing Yuhaka's assessment of her, Fran nodded in understanding. Indeed, she had been injured quite a few times. During battles, Fran subconsciously focused her attention on the enemy in front of her, neglecting the enemies on her sides and behind her. This was why Fran was surrounded and attacked. Fortunately, Fran had managed to defeat all the enemies on her own that time, which was quite an achievement. After all, taking down a tribe of gnolls and goblins by herself was a remarkable feat. At least, most adventurers with the same conditions as Fran would not be able to defeat such powerful enemies.

.............................................

The next day, Yuhaka and Fran went to the Adventurers' Guild to complete the quests listed on the quest log. However, while looking at the quests, Yuhaka suddenly noticed that there were many more quests related to exterminating goblins and gnolls. Before leaving, Yuhaka remembered that there weren't so many goblin and gnoll extermination quests.

After noting this down, Yuhaka and Fran reported their mission to the receptionist. Yuhaka also asked the receptionist about this issue. Upon hearing Yuhaka's question, the receptionist didn't hide anything. According to the receptionist, the general idea was that the number of goblins and gnolls in the forest had recently increased, and many villages had been harassed by them. As a result, there had been an increase in requests to eliminate gnolls and goblins.

Upon hearing the waitress's explanation, Fran couldn't help but recall how she had previously wiped out the gnoll and goblin settlement. No wonder she and her master had encountered so many gnolls and goblins near the human town. But the question was, why were there so many gnolls and goblins?

Regarding this issue, the receptionist explained that the Adventurers' Guild has already dispatched an investigation team to investigate the matter. Once the investigation results are available, they will have a general idea of what happened. However, the receptionist was somewhat surprised that Yuhaka and Fran encountered gnomes and goblins. But considering that the two of them took down the guild administrator in less than 10 seconds, it was enough to prove how strong they were. Therefore, the receptionist was not too surprised that Yuhaka and Fran were unharmed after encountering gnomes and goblins.

After accepting the mission, Fran and Yuhaka continued their mission. On the grassland in the forest, Fran collected herbs with a bored expression. After all, Yuhaka had entrusted the task of collecting herbs to Fran, while Yuhaka himself went to collect wild vegetables and mushrooms around. Since Fran couldn't distinguish which wild vegetables and mushrooms were edible, she had to leave that to Yuhaka.

Fran's boredom was quite simple. After all, Fran became an adventurer to find powerful prey to hone her skills, but the sight of her gathering herbs made her feel that her strength hadn't improved at all.

However, regardless of the circumstances, only after completing the task would Yuhaka take Fran to cause trouble for those unfortunate souls. After Fran tossed the last herb into the basket, she stood up, stretched, and relaxed her slightly stiff body. Then, Fran picked up the basket filled with herbs and called out to Yuhaka, who was collecting mushrooms and wild vegetables not far away, "Master, I've finished collecting the herbs here~"

Hearing Fran's words, Yhaka, who was gathering mushrooms, turned around and waved to Fran, inviting her to come over. He took the basket of herbs from Fran's hands and put it into his dimensional portal. Then, he led a happy Fran to find a training target. However, not long after Yhaka and Fran walked, they heard the clash of weapons and the strange, sinister laughter of gnolls. After exchanging a glance, Yhaka and Fran ran towards the sound. Soon, they saw an adventurer party being besieged by gnolls and goblins. Seeing this, Fran turned around to tell Yhaka to come and help the adventurers, but she suddenly realized that Yhaka had already disappeared. Coming to her senses, Fran realized that Yhaka had already gone to help the adventurers, leaving her dumbfounded.

Volume 5 [Slice of Life + Arknights + Another World]: Chapter 1922 [The Adventurers' Guild Master's Request]

After Yhaka rushed to rescue the people, Fran quickly followed behind Yhaka to prevent the monsters from being snatched away by him.

As Yuhaka revealed the Baradion sword, which had transformed into a giant bow, he also drew back the bowstring and fired several short, spear-like arrows at the gnolls confronting the adventurer party in the distance. The powerful impact skewered the gnolls and their companions behind them into a skewer-like shape.

Faced with the sudden attack, the gnolls and goblins also showed expressions of panic. After all, the arrows shot by Yhaka were comparable to siege crossbow bolts, which made the gnolls feel that something was wrong.

Then, Fran's magical attack terrified the gnolls and goblins, who fled in disarray. They had clearly misjudged the number of people on Yuhaka's side, but it was also because of this that they were temporarily spared from being wiped out by Yuhaka and Fran.

The rescued adventurer team breathed a sigh of relief and said to Yuhaka and the others, "Phew~ You were a huge help. If you hadn't driven away those gnolls and goblins, we might have been in danger." Hearing this, Yuhaka and Fran shook their heads to indicate that it wasn't a big deal. However, more than that, Yuhaka and Fran were curious about why there were so many gnolls and goblins here. The rescued adventurer team members told Yuhaka and the others about their discovery. They had originally gone to a mine to collect a special ore, but for some reason, many monsters appeared in the mine, forcing the adventurer team to leave.

Unfortunately, their stealthy retreat attracted the attention of the monsters, leading to them being overtaken by a group of gnolls and goblins. Hearing the adventurer team's words, Fran asked where the mine they had visited was. Knowing that Yuhaka and Fran planned to check it out, the adventurer team told them about the situation. However, the adventurer team mistakenly assumed Yuhaka and Fran were high-level adventurers, given how easily they had scared away a large group of gnolls and goblins, leading them to misjudge their level.

However, Ehaka did not clear up the misunderstanding. After all, with his strength, it would be easy for him to deal with some gnolls and goblins, but Ehaka would not eliminate them. Instead, he would leave some of the monsters for Fran to deal with, thereby training Fran's combat skills.

After obtaining the location of the mine, Yuhaka and Fran headed towards their target. From a large tree, they used binoculars to observe the distant location. They could see a small, tribal-like monster settlement at the mine entrance, likely a small defensive outpost. Besides gnolls and goblins, Yuhaka also spotted ogres and two-headed giants—all extremely dangerous monsters that a typical adventurer team would have little chance of dealing with.

Of course, Yuhaka and Fran were different. Yuhaka's observations of the enemies she discovered differed from those of the adventurer team. However, Yuhaka could understand the difference in the monsters they found, since they discovered the enemies from high up in the trees, while the adventurer team saw the outskirts of the settlement from the ground. Naturally, they didn't discover as many things as Yuhaka.

Fran was quite excited to see so many enemies before her. After all, having dealt with countless gnolls and goblins, Fran had long wanted to find other opponents to fight. However, just as Fran was about to go over, Yhaka grabbed Fran's tail with his big tail. Fran was startled and then looked at Yhaka with a blank expression, as if she wanted to ask Yhaka why he had grabbed her.

“Fran can’t handle the ones below, there are just too many of them OwO~” Seeing the confusion on Fran’s face, Yuhaka gave his explanation. After hearing Yuhaka’s explanation, Fran felt that it made a lot of sense. Her excited mind calmed down. If she thought about it carefully, she probably wouldn’t be able to fight so many enemies if Yuhaka wasn’t here.

"Then Master, what should we do?" After thinking it over, Fran asked Yuhaka, who was standing beside her. Yuhaka explained, "Well, let's go back first, report the situation, and then see how it goes." Fran nodded in understanding, knowing that she could simply follow her master's instructions.

After the two left, Yuhaka and Fran went to the Adventurers' Guild in the town. After handing over the completed quest to the receptionist, Yuhaka and Fran also told the receptionist about what they had discovered.

"Huh?! Ogres and two-headed giants?!" Upon hearing Yuhaka and Fran's words, the receptionist also showed a shocked expression. After all, ogres and two-headed giants are not simple monsters. Although they are not very intelligent, their powerful physique and size make them difficult for ordinary adventurer teams to deal with.

Furthermore, the presence of these large creatures among a group of gnolls and goblins suggests that an even more powerful entity is commanding them, which is no simple matter.

Thinking of this, the receptionist said she would report the situation to the Adventurers' Guild administrators, and the rest would be handled by the guild leader. At the same time, the receptionist also thanked Yuhaka and Fran, since they had rescued an adventurer team. The Adventurers' Guild was short-handed at the moment, and losing even a low-level adventurer team would be an immeasurable loss.

Yuhaka and Fran accepted the waitress's thanks, but Yuhaka was a little disappointed that there was no actual reward.

After the two left, Yuhaka and Fran strolled around the streets. Fran, who was standing next to Yuhaka, turned to look at him and asked, "Master, what should we do next?" Yuhaka was thinking about what he could teach Fran, but just then, Yuhaka and Fran heard the voice of the receptionist behind them.

"Please wait a moment, Miss Yuu, Miss Fran." Hearing the receptionist's voice from behind, Yuuhaka and Fran turned around with puzzled expressions. After the receptionist came to Yuuhaka and Fran, she said to them, "Um, Miss Yuu, Miss Fran, our president has invited you to his office."

Upon hearing the receptionist's words, Yuhaka and Fran exchanged a glance, clearly puzzled by the Adventurers' Guild Master's sudden summons. Regardless, Yuhaka decided to go and see what the Master wanted to discuss with her and Fran. Fran, following Yuhaka's lead, accompanied the receptionist back to the Adventurers' Guild. After arriving at the back of the guild, the three of them reached a door. After the receptionist knocked and informed her that she had brought Yuhaka and Fran inside, a male voice came from within, saying, "Come in."

As the receptionist opened the door, Yuhaka and Fran followed her inside. A blond-haired elven man sat at a desk, looking at Yuhaka and Fran as they appeared in the doorway. Upon seeing him, Yuhaka could immediately gauge his strength and profession; he was undoubtedly no match for him. The man appeared to be a mage, and mages would fare even worse against Yuhaka, as Yuhaka could seal away the elemental power mages possessed, resulting in a significant loss of combat strength.

Moreover, the Demon-Slaying Holy Sword's ability to target magic has caused endless suffering for various mages.

After Yhaka and Fran entered, the blond elf man standing before them stood up, greeted them, and introduced himself. Just as the receptionist had said, this blond elf was the guild master of the Adventurers' Guild. The guild master then tried to test Yhaka and Fran's strength with a special skill, but the elven contract on the Demon-Slaying Holy Sword on the back of Yhaka's hand flashed briefly before being interrupted.

The adventurer's guild leader, whose detection magic had been interrupted, was dumbfounded. He clearly hadn't expected his magic to be interrupted. However, he quickly recovered. There were many ways to interrupt detection magic, after all, it wasn't a big deal. But the adventurer's guild leader could tell from his own eyes that Fran was just a novice adventurer, but her strength was much greater than that of the average adventurer. As for Yuhaka, he couldn't tell. Looking into Yuhaka's intelligent eyes, the adventurer's guild leader felt as if he had been seen through.

Furthermore, the fact that the other party's posture appeared very calm made the Adventurers' Guild Master feel very abnormal. Moreover, the fact that Yuhaka did not take out his weapon made it impossible for the Adventurers' Guild Master to determine the other party's class. As for magic power, he could not sense anything. Yuhaka seemed to be standing there like a phantom, ethereal yet conspicuous. This led the Adventurers' Guild Master to speculate that the other party might be a very powerful professional.

The Adventurers' Guild Master, who had summoned Yuhaka and Fran, explained his purpose: to provide them with temporary Adventurers' Guild certificates, but in return, he hoped they would accept the mission to raid the surrounding monster lairs. Upon hearing the Guild Master's words, Fran's eyes lit up, clearly finding a reason to fight those monsters. Yuhaka, however, seemed unconcerned; after all, the gnolls didn't look appetizing, and he had little appetite for the other monsters, though he could certainly prepare a dire wolf.

Of course, in addition to giving Yuhaka and Fran a substantial reward, the Adventurers' Guild Master would also upgrade their Adventurers' Guild certificates by one level. Upon hearing the conditions offered by the Adventurers' Guild Master, Yuhaka thought for a moment and then said that there was no problem. After all, the missions that Yuhaka and Fran were currently dealing with were far too troublesome and simple, and they were not very enthusiastic about them. Naturally, they agreed to the Adventurers' Guild Master's conditions.

After the two left, the Adventurers' Guild Master seemed relieved. Being with Yuhaka had given him the feeling of being with some kind of terrifying predator. Fortunately, the other party seemed easy to talk to, which made the Adventurers' Guild Master feel like he had been given a second chance at life. If none of the high-ranking adventurers in the Adventurers' Guild had returned, the Adventurers' Guild Master wouldn't have needed to ask others for help.

Meanwhile, on Yuhaka and Fran's side, after accepting the mission from the Adventurers' Guild Master, Fran was overjoyed, as she was finally going to have a big battle with the monster army. Yuhaka, on the other hand, didn't seem too bothered. For Yuhaka, teaching those inedible creatures a lesson was far too easy, but the fact that they were inedible made Yuhaka reluctant to do anything. However, after hearing from the Adventurers' Guild Master that it could increase their adventurer rank, Yuhaka felt that it would save a lot of time and had no objections.

The next day, the adventurers, summoned by the leaders of the Adventurers' Guild, began preparing to set off. Among them were Yuhaka and Fran. Although they were supposed to be traveling together, Yuhaka and Fran did not plan to attack the monster's lair with the adventurers. Fran had the idea of stealing monsters, while Yuhaka wanted to eliminate the enemy as soon as possible, preferably shaking off the other adventurers, since the other adventurers would only get in the way.

P.S.: I feel like I haven't been feeling well lately. Not only am I physically unwell, but my mind is also a complete mess. Even typing gives me a headache. I really hope this situation will improve soon.

Volume 5 [Slice of Life + Arknights + Another World]: Chapter 1923 [Eating Yoyo's Big Fried Food OwO]

The next day, Yuhaka and her companions gathered in the forest at the call of the Adventurers' Guild. Their mission was to clear out the monster strongholds in the forest surrounding the town. Although they didn't know what those monsters wanted to do, the sheer number of monsters gathered there was enough to cause trouble for the area around the town.

After all, a large group of monsters gathering together would definitely require a lot of food, and food is not something that can be found everywhere. Hunting alone is not a way to obtain enough food, so raiding caravans and villages has become the target of these monsters.

This is not something the Adventurers' Guild and the lord want to see. They plan to strike first and eliminate the monsters before they become a significant threat to the village and caravans.

Ehaka and Fran also participated in this operation, but they separated from the adventurers. Ehaka was a bit of a hindrance to the adventurers, so to avoid being held back, they informed the Adventurers' Guild administrators about their plans beforehand. The Guild Master also informed them about Ehaka, and the administrators had no objections. They were well aware that Ehaka and Fran could resolve their situation in under 10 seconds, and therefore didn't impose too many restrictions on these two powerful individuals.

.........................................

.........................................

On Yuhaka's side, after being granted permission to act independently, Yuhaka and Fran began searching for targets. They looked at the map given to them by the Adventurers' Guild, which showed the monster lairs and gathering places that had been discovered in the area, as well as the adventurers' attack routes. Yuhaka had her own plan in mind.

"Master, how should we deal with those enemies?" Fran asked Yuhaka, who was standing beside her, with a question in her mind. After all, there were too many enemies, and Fran didn't know which enemy to target first. In response to Fran's question, Yuhaka thought for a moment and pointed to a few places on the map, saying, "Then destroy these places and cut off the enemy's supply lines."

Although the enemies Yuhaka and her companions faced were just a group of monsters, monsters like gnolls and goblins still used human tools to fight. If Yuhaka and Fran could disrupt the supply lines in the monster battle line, the adventurers' offensive would become much easier.

Upon hearing Yuhaka's words, Fran nodded in understanding. Then, Yuhaka and Fran began their operation. This time, Fran was to carry out the covert operation alone, while Yuhaka would follow behind to provide support. After all, the mission Yuhaka had given Fran was to eliminate these monsters through assassination and sabotage as much as possible.

Fran naturally did not refuse the task assigned to her by Yuhaka. Fran was very interested in this kind of training mission, so she began the training mission of assassinating monsters. With the help of Zelus, Yuhaka created a system that could assist Fran. As a result, a small arrow-like indicator appeared above the heads of the monsters to guide Fran's attack targets and tell Fran which monsters were the priority targets.

With this help, Fran found it exceptionally easy to assassinate the leaders of those monsters. In addition, the replica of the Key of Domination that Yuhaka gave Fran possessed the characteristic of a single-molecule blade, so no matter how hard the monsters' skin and bones were, they could not stop Fran's assassination. She could cut off the heads of those monsters with a single blow.

However, it becomes a bit troublesome when facing the two-headed giants. After all, these guys have two heads, and cutting off one of them is not enough to kill them. But after Ehaka makes another copy of the Key of Domination in Fran's hand, Fran, who uses dual swords, can pierce through both of the opponent's heads at the same time.

After eliminating a large area of enemy squad leaders and supply depots, Yuhaka and Fran sat atop a towering tree, looking at a map in their hands. The map showed their attack targets. The front and rear of the monster front had been cleared, leaving a gaping area. It was estimated that the frontline would realize something was wrong when their ammunition reserves were almost depleted.

Meanwhile, those at the rear probably won't be able to detect anything for a while. By the time they do, the adventurers will likely have already decimated the monsters' front lines.

"Master, what should we do now?" Fran asked Yuhaka, who was standing beside her, with a question in her mind. Hearing Fran's question, Yuhaka pointed to the base camp on the map and said, "After the adventurers break through the front line, Fran and Yuhaka will go and deal with the enemy's leader together OwO~" Upon hearing that Yuhaka wanted to deal with the enemy's leader, Fran's eyes lit up. Fran was obviously very interested in the leader who commanded these monsters. After all, the one who could command those ogres and two-headed giants to fight must be a powerful monster. Otherwise, it would be impossible to command those big, dumb creatures to help her fight.

While the adventurers were fighting the monsters, Yuhaka brought out various sandwiches for Fran. After all, after a battle, a delicious meal can not only fill one's stomach but also lift one's spirits. Fran, in particular, felt a little hungry after being busy for most of the day, so she naturally accepted all the sandwiches of various flavors offered by Yuhaka.

After finishing their meal, Yuhaka and Fran noticed that the adventurers had dealt with the monsters' frontline deployment and began to move. Yuhaka and Fran leaped through the forest and soon arrived at the mine entrance they had observed earlier. From there, they could see that the originally heavily guarded monster stronghold had now become a small fortress, making it seem like sneaking in would be a bit troublesome.

Seeing this, Fran realized that it was practically impossible to infiltrate the small fortress in front of her. Fran asked Yhaka if he had any way to solve this problem. In response, Yhaka naturally took out a projectile-shaped object from his imaginary space. Fran looked at what Yhaka had taken out and showed a puzzled expression. After all, for Fran, what Yhaka had taken out was something she had never seen before.

As for what Yuhaka took out... it's perfectly normal that Fran couldn't recognize it, after all, it's a product of high technology. People from the magical world like Fran basically wouldn't recognize what it is. What Yuhaka took out was a high-explosive shell. After turning the Baradion sword into a crossbow, Yuhaka put the thing in his hand into the magazine, then aimed the heavy crossbow at the small fortress in the distance and pulled the trigger. Instantly, a bolt of lightning-like light launched the shell from the magazine. The moment the shell hit the small fortress, a huge explosion resounded throughout the entire forest, like hellfire erupting from the ground.

The powerful impact of the explosion also swept over Yuhaka and Fran. If Fran hadn't held on tightly, she probably would have been thrown away by the force. The flash of the explosion also blinded Fran. As the light subsided, Fran opened her eyes and saw a mushroom cloud of flames rising from the place that had been a small fortress. After all, the small fortress was a small fortress built of wood and stone, which was quite suitable as fuel.

Looking at the scene before her, which resembled a scorching inferno, Fran couldn't help but gape in shock. The small fortress before her had completely vanished, replaced by ruins that resembled a bonfire. Fran could vaguely see what looked like the remains of living beings within it, but due to the high temperature, those remnants quickly disappeared. After checking and finding nothing still alive, Yuhaka used Elven magic to extinguish the surrounding flames, preventing a large-scale fire from spreading.

After the flames were extinguished, the area that was originally a small fortress was now just a charred mess. If druids and elves saw the charred trees and remains around it, they would probably come out to protest.

However, that's a matter for later. Right now, after jumping down from the tree, Yuhaka and Fran arrived at the land that Yuhaka had just bombarded with his special incendiary bombs. Here, Fran could clearly smell the stench of burning objects, which made her feel a little uncomfortable. However, led by Yuhaka, the two of them arrived at the mine entrance, where there were many charred corpses lying there. Obviously, before Yuhaka launched his attack, many monsters had been guarding this place, but unfortunately, they had all been reduced to charcoal.

After using psionic energy to move the obstructing corpses aside, Yuhaka and Fran rushed into the cave. Soon after, gnolls and goblins charged out. Fran immediately went into battle mode, hacking the charging monsters to the ground. Yuhaka, meanwhile, looked around, sensing a monster force attempting to flank them from the secret passage. He used elven magic to seal off the hidden entrances, leaving the attacking monsters staring blankly at the dead end.

After Fran dealt with the monsters that rushed at her, she turned to Yuhaka and asked, "Master, the monsters here seem to be a bit different in strength." Hearing Fran's words, Yuhaka nodded. Indeed, compared to the previous monsters, these monsters had a very obvious chaotic magical aura, and the smell of blood was much stronger, which made Yuhaka sense that something was wrong.

"Hmm, there's chaotic magic. It looks like something's strengthening these inedible things." After hearing Yuhaka's explanation, Fran nodded and then asked, "So what's making these monsters stronger? Could it be a demon?" Yuhaka shook his head at Fran's question, indicating he didn't know. After all, Yuhaka didn't know much about this world. The only things he knew were that the world was constantly being distorted and that there were a few big bad guys in it.

If Zelus hadn't told him, Yuhaka wouldn't have known anything else.

Unsure of what the problem was, Yuhaka and Fran continued walking. After a while, Yuhaka noticed something was wrong and stopped. Seeing Yuhaka stop, Fran also stopped and looked at him, asking, "Master, what's wrong? Did you notice something amiss?"

Regarding Fran's question, Yhaka nodded in agreement. If there hadn't been any major problems before, now Yhaka felt as if he had entered a house, surrounded by what seemed like a base filled with energy lines.

In response to Yuhaka's question, Zelus explained, "It's a dungeon, a unique product of other worlds. You can think of it like those maze-like dungeons in games." Hearing Zelus's simple explanation, Yuhaka recalled a game Bronya played, something about a demon lord raising monsters and managing dungeon labyrinths. He didn't know the specifics, but thinking of the intricate dungeon labyrinths Bronya created, Yuhaka roughly understood that he had entered such a place. He then warned Fran to be careful; their next move might require caution.

Upon hearing Yuhaka's words, Fran paused for a moment before nodding to indicate that she understood. Although she didn't know what was going on, if Yuhaka said that, then she must have her reasons, right?

Volume 5 [Slice of Life + Arknights + Another World]: Chapter 1924 [Khorne Demon]

After Yhaka and Fran ventured deeper into this mine-like underground labyrinth, they encountered quite a few gnolls and goblins. Fran was getting a little sick of these monsters, as they loved to use tricks and schemes to hinder her attacks, which disgusted her.

Of course, some of the stronger gnolls are different; their fighting style is reckless, but Fran likes these kinds of enemies. Although they don't have any fancy fighting techniques, at least they don't use any underhanded tricks, making them perfect as training targets.

Yuhaka had no interest in the monsters, since they didn't look like edible creatures at all. Yuhaka also noticed a problem: various traps kept appearing around them. If Yuhaka hadn't reminded Fran, those traps would probably have given Fran a lot of trouble.

However, Yuhaka easily overcame most of the traps that involved large, heavy objects like rolling stones. The only problem was that Yuhaka got a little annoyed after encountering too many of these types of traps. If he didn't need to investigate what was happening down there, Yuhaka would probably have taken out a small fusion warhead and blown the entire mine to smithereens.

Fortunately, Yhaka was able to find his way down through the intricate underground mine. Since he wouldn't get lost, Yhaka was able to lead Fran to the lowest level, where the gnolls and goblins were quite different.

First, they grew larger than before, especially the goblins. Their originally thin and short bodies became almost indistinguishable from humans. Their skin was covered with strange runes, and they also had decorations made from the skulls of creatures. They looked like some kind of cult. Yuhaka and Fran noticed this. At the same time, Yuhaka could also sense that these monsters had the same chaotic magic power as the monsters before, and their strength was much greater.

Even Fran seemed somewhat helpless in the face of this army of monsters that were like berserkers who were unafraid of death. After nearly losing her head, Fran realized that she couldn't handle so many crazed enemies at once, and had to be saved by Yuhaka.
