Kerrigan looked at Yhaka and asked, "These... Primal Zerg are your kind?" Yhaka nodded proudly at Kerrigan's question, clearly pleased with Kerrigan's earlier expression of shock. After all, Yhaka wanted to see Kerrigan look so shocked; seeing her speechless expression of astonishment pleased Yhaka greatly.

P.S.: There's a lot of content this time, so it's not easy to divide it into two chapters. I've combined it into one.

Volume 2 [StarCraft II: Back to Home]: Chapter 1808 [The Hunting Competition and the Shocked Kerrigan]

After Yhwachsah arrived with his original Zerg swarm, Kerrigan asked him, "What do you plan to do with this Barak swarm?"

"OwO?" Ehka looked at Kerrigan with a puzzled expression, clearly not understanding what she was talking about. Seeing Ehka's "OwO?" look, Kerrigan's lips twitched slightly before she patiently explained, "If the other party is there, collecting Bristleback's biomass won't be so simple. After all, they'll interfere with our worker bees' collection efforts. I'd like to know your plan for dealing with this."

After hearing Kerrigan's question, Yhwach understood why she had asked it. After thinking for a moment, a lightbulb appeared on Yhwach's head, and he said to Kerrigan:

"Then Youyou will fight Barak, and Kerrigan will help Youyou collect the meat OwO~"

Kerrigan was stunned by Yhaka's words. She hadn't expected Yhaka to make such a suggestion. Kerrigan thought Yhaka would send her swarm to fight the Primal Zerg while she collected Bristleback's biomass. But to her surprise, Yhaka would ask her to choose the most difficult target. What benefits would they gain from doing that?

To be honest, Kerrigan thinks it's possible that the other side made this choice on purpose, since it wouldn't benefit Yhaka much if Kerrigan thought this way, right?

Even so, Kerrigan felt there might be something wrong with the situation, so she suggested to Yhwaka and the others, "Hmm... how about we have a match?"

"A match?" Upon hearing Kerrigan's suggestion, Ehaka looked at her with a puzzled expression, clearly somewhat doubtful about it.

“Yes, it’s a competition.” Kerrigan nodded in agreement. Then, looking towards Barak’s lair and the Barak territories in the distance, she explained the rules to Yhwach: “The rules are roughly this: within this territory, let’s see who gets more Bristleback biomass, shall we?”

Upon hearing Kerrigan's suggestion, Eohaka nodded with sparkling eyes and said to Kerrigan, "Mmm-hmm! Eohaka wants to play a hunting contest!"

Seeing Yhaka's happy expression, Kerrigan really didn't know if he was faking it or if he was just like that. This made Kerrigan really unable to see through Yhaka, who seemed like a child.

..........................................

After both sides prepared their bases, the hunt for Bristleback between Ehka and Kerrigan began.

At Kerrigan's Zerg hive, Kerrigan was watching the Yhaka clan's forces setting up defensive positions in the distance, lost in thought. Just then, Izsha's voice rang in her mind, interrupting her thoughts.

"Your Majesty, why did you compete with those Primal Zerg in hunting Bristleback biomass?" Izsha, atop Leviathan, asked Kerrigan with a puzzled tone. Kerrigan, interrupted from her thoughts, replied to Izsha's question: "My hunting competition with Yuu isn't the point. The point is that we can use this competition to observe the strength of Yuu's Primal Zerg."

Hearing Kerrigan's words, Izusa understood why Kerrigan wanted to compete with these primitive Zerg. However, Izusa still had some doubts and asked Kerrigan, "But is this necessary? We've already observed those primitive Zerg through the Eyebugs."

Regarding Izsa's question, Kerrigan nodded and said, "It is very necessary, but the reason is not that they are primitive Zerg, but that they are definitely different from the primitive Zerg on this planet, especially with that child named Yoyo in charge."

"Is there something wrong with that primitive Zerg named Youyou?" Izusa asked, puzzled by Kerrigan's question. Kerrigan explained, "The reason is simple. In my previous observations, I could clearly see that the mutations of those primitive Zerg were very much in line with the products of civilization. I suspect that these mutations were caused by that child named Youyou. After all, she had been in human society before, so it's normal for her to have learned a thing or two from humans."

Izusa looked at the defensive positions that were being set up on Yuhaka's side with a puzzled expression and asked, "Will this help us?"

Kerrigan looked at Yhaka in the distance with a solemn expression and said, "Yes, if these primitive Zerg could join our side, they could be of great help to us."

While Kerrigan was chatting with Izsa, Yhwach was also chatting with Vargra.

"Awooo, Lady Yuuyu, why are we competing with these corrupted insects? (chewing)" Vargra asked Yuhaka while munching on a piece of roasted meat. Yuhaka, still chewing on his own juicy roasted meat, swallowed it and then wagged his little finger, explaining to Vargra in a smug tone:

"Hmph~ Youyou is so clever! When you made the bet with Kerrigan, you didn't say what you were betting on =w=~ And after the hunt, all the meat that Kerrigan hunted belonged to Youyou, so Kerrigan has to work for Youyou for free =w=~"

After hearing Yhaka's explanation, Vargra showed a look of sudden realization, clearly quite surprised. Indeed, when Yhaka and Kerrigan made their bet, they hadn't agreed on any stakes. And originally, Kerrigan was supposed to hunt for Yhaka, so regardless of who won or lost, Yhaka would be the one who benefited.

"Oh my god! As expected of Lady Yuuyu, you're so cunning! Ah... but what's a part-time job?" Vargra looked at Yuhaka with admiration, expressing her respect, though she was also confused because she didn't know what a part-time job was. But quickly, Vargra shook her head, dismissing the question, and asked Yuhaka a new one: "But if that's the case, why don't we fight those corrupted insects too?"

"Corrupted Zerg O~O?" Yhwach, chewing on his roasted meat, looked at Vargra with a puzzled expression. He clearly didn't quite understand the term "corrupted Zerg" that Vargra was referring to. Seeing Yhwach's confused look, Vargra also asked with a puzzled expression, "You mean the primitive Zerg modified by the corrupted Xel'Naga?"

Hearing Vargra's words, Yhwaka couldn't help but think of what Zeratul had told her before. She remembered that Zeratul had also been modified by the Zerg Overmind controlled by Amon. As a result, Kerrigan was controlled by the mark left by Amon. Although she was purified with the Xel'Naga artifact in the Char battle, she still needed to obtain the power of the original Zerg to completely break free from Amon's control. Of course, she also needed to obtain even greater power.

In that case, the corrupted Zerg that Vargra mentioned were also Zerg modified by Amon. However, Yhaka had no objection or hatred towards this, since Yhaka was not a native Zerg of Zerus. Yhaka had no hatred towards this, and those Zerg were definitely quite unpalatable.

"I see, but those Zerglings don't taste good, and Yuuyu is too lazy to fight them =~=" As she spoke, Yuuyu continued to gnaw on the roasted meat in her hand, while Vargra looked at the Zergling nest in the distance with a puzzled expression and said, "Eh??? They don't taste good? Never mind then."

After the two lost interest in the Zerg, the other Primal Zerg didn't say anything either. After all, their leader had said so, so there was no need to attack the Zerg anymore.

Under these circumstances, both sides reached a win-win situation. Kerrigan obtained intelligence on the Primal Zerg swarm on Ehaka's side and made a deal to acquire the Primal Zerg's power, while Ehaka obtained Bristleback meat and also got rid of a troublesome guy.

While Yhwach and Kerrigan were overjoyed, Barak, whose territory was being occupied, was unhappy. After all, the Bristleback they were hunting was prey from their territory. It was one thing if Yhwach came to steal it, but Barak was extremely displeased that Yhwach had joined forces with the corrupted Zerg to attack him.

"That despicable traitor! He actually followed the corrupted Zerg! How could Lady Zelus have taken a liking to such a creature! No! I will destroy the corrupted Zerg and the traitor, and let Lady Zelus know that she made a terrible mistake!"

As he spoke, Barak also shouted to the primitive Zerg swarm behind him:

"Destroy those traitors and corrupted Zerg! Devour their essence!"

Upon hearing Barak's words, the primitive Zerg roared and charged toward the location of Yhaka and Kerrigan.

Meanwhile, on Yhaka's side, through the Eyebug's observation, Kerrigan also saw a large wave of Barak's Primal Zerg swarm charging towards Yhaka and herself in two directions. Seeing this, Kerrigan wanted to warn Yhaka, but when she focused her attention on Yhaka's side, she saw that Yhaka's side was already prepared for defense and ready to counterattack at any moment.

This puzzled Kerrigan, since Yhaka and his group didn't seem to have any Eyebugs, right? How did they know that Barak's Primal Zerg swarm was attacking?

Before Kerrigan could react, a muffled explosion, like the sound of cannon fire, rang out from Yhaka's defensive position. Hearing the explosion, Kerrigan turned her gaze towards Yhaka and her group. She then saw the Primal Flame-Eating Bugs launching an artillery barrage at the Barak's tribe in the distance. Kerrigan was somewhat surprised by this, as the Primal Flame-Eating Bugs' artillery-like attack could travel such a distance, almost the range of a siege tank.

Kerrigan initially thought the attack range of those Primal Flame-Eating Bugs wouldn't be too far, but the power they displayed surprised her greatly. Soon, under Kerrigan's observation, she saw the "cannonballs" launched by those Primal Flame-Eating Bugs, which looked like they were emitting flames, land on the Barak's attacking forces, and then a violent explosion would ripple through the attacking forces.

The explosion also blasted the surrounding primitive insects into pieces, and some unfortunate primitive insects were even blown into the sky.

Seeing this, Kerrigan couldn't help but feel a chill towards the Primal Flame Eaters on Yhaka's side. Of course, this chill wasn't because the Primal Flame Eaters were destructive, but because Yhaka and her group actually dared to put such explosives behind their backs.

If it were just acid spores, Kerrigan wouldn't be worried, but what that Primal Flame Eater launched was undoubtedly an explosive, not something like corrosive bile.

After all, corrosive bile won't explode, and the toxic worms in their own swarm also have their own "insurance" to prevent them from exploding in the swarm's attack formation and wiping out their own forces.

But the enemy's explosive device was no simple matter. Although Kerrigan didn't know how the enemy sprayed it or what principle it used to create a bomb-like explosion, she could already picture the scene if it exploded within her own ranks and couldn't be controlled.

Thus, the number of Primal Zerg attacking Yohaka's forces was reduced by the artillery fire. However, the remaining Primal Zerg troops also launched an attack on Yohaka and her allies. Even so, Yohaka and her team didn't need to worry, as they possessed a large number of symbiotic weapons.

After the Primal Zerg forces rushed into firing range, the Primal Zerg under Yhaka's command, armed with long-range symbiotic weapons, began firing. Accompanied by the "biubiu" sound of some kind of organ ejection, the Primal Zerg charging towards Yhaka and her defensive positions instantly became like crossfire from a heavy machine gun during World War I. In an instant, the Primal Zerg fell in rows like wheat being harvested by a scythe.

P.S.: It's a new month, and I'm starting to update every day. I'm not exactly broke lately; just updating one chapter a month only brings in about a thousand yuan, which isn't enough to make ends meet. Plus, I need to start writing new book settings and outlines, which takes time. It's really a hassle.

Volume 2 [StarCraft II: Back Home, Youyou]: Chapter 1809 [The Hunt Ends]

On Yhaka's side, the massive swarm of Primal Zerg suffered heavy casualties against the crossfire from Yhaka and her forces. However, the larger Primal Zerg were relatively better off; despite their injuries, they roared and charged towards Yhaka's lines. In response to the charging large Primal Zerg, Primal Warriors in Yhaka's defensive line leaped out, wielding bone blades that emitted psionic fields and spiked fists, charging towards the oncoming large Primal Zerg.

The large primitive insects swung their massive claws at the charging Primal Warrior Insects, attempting to tear them to shreds. However, the Primal Warrior Insects were not to be trifled with. They swiftly raised their spiky fists and attacked the faces of the large primitive insects, while numerous neurotoxin-laden spinal spikes also flew towards the faces of the large primitive insects.

The large primitive insects immediately used their claws to shield their faces when they saw something flying towards them. This opening allowed the primitive warrior insects to seize the opportunity and swing their bone blades at the large primitive insects. Based on the hunting experience they learned from Yhaka, they aimed at the legs of the large primitive insects and slashed at them. The bone blades, enveloped in a psionic field, cut into the carapace of the large primitive insects like plasma cutters, instantly slicing through the hard carapace, solid muscles, and destroying the tendon tissue inside, rendering the insects unable to move.

The large primitive insects, whose leg tendons had been severed, were immediately rendered immobile, which gave the primitive warrior insects an opportunity to inflict numerous wounds on the large primitive insects that were difficult to heal. Not only did their bone blades secrete a toxin that prevented the wounds from healing, but the charred marks created by the psionic field also prevented the wounds from healing.

Kerrigan, watching from afar, also witnessed all of this through the Eyebugs. Seeing the Primal Warriors fighting like Protoss warriors, Kerrigan couldn't help but marvel. To be honest, she hadn't expected that Yhaka's Primal Zerg would possess combat skills similar to Protoss warriors, which Kerrigan found quite astonishing.

After all, Kerrigan couldn't imagine creatures like the Zerg, who fight with sharp teeth and claws, wielding swords and blades.

............................................

............................................

After a while, the battle between the two sides ended quickly. The battle ended first on Yhaka's side. After Yhaka's Primal Warrior Bugs eliminated the large Primal Zerg that charged at them, the remaining Primal Zerg swarm of Barak's attacking force was immediately demoralized and fled.

Although Yhaka's prepared Primal Zerg forces were ready to give chase, they were stopped by Yhaka. The reason was simple: if they chased after them, they would be besieged by Barak's other Primal Zerg forces. Moreover, there were a lot of Primal Zerg corpses on their ground. If they didn't eat them, they might have to fight on an empty stomach in the next battle.

Meanwhile, Kerrigan dealt with the Primal Zerg attack force sent by Barak. A large number of Xenomorphs, along with Hydralisks and Roaches, quickly repelled Barak's forces.

Kerrigan, standing with the corpse of a Primal Zerg under her foot, looked disinterested and said, "Is this all these Primal Zerg are capable of? I thought they were much more powerful..."

Kerrigan originally thought these primitive Zerg would be very strong, but in this probing attack, their strength was not even half of what Kerrigan expected, which greatly disappointed her. However, the reason for her disappointment was probably because the level of performance by Yhaka far exceeded Kerrigan's expectations.

After both sides repelled the attacking Barak tribe, they began their main task: hunting Bristlebacks, since the competition (and food) was the priority.

As both hunting parties began their operations, Kerrigan, while leading her Zerg army to hunt Bristlebacks, chatted with Abathur.

"Abathur, what's your opinion of the Primal Zerg swarm over there?" Kerrigan, who had blasted the head of an unfortunate Bristleback to pieces with a kinetic shockwave, asked Abathur, who was analyzing the Primal Zerg essence in the Evolution Chamber, through a psionic link. Abathur, seemingly puzzled by Kerrigan's question, replied, "Interesting biological design and architecture, but... I can't understand it..."

Upon hearing Abathur's words, Kerrigan looked somewhat surprised and asked, "Oh, confused? Why?"

Kerrigan was equally puzzled by Abathur's question, to which Abathur replied, "Symbiotics are extremely aggressive, but their symbiotic structure is redundant, cumbersome, and unsuitable for swarms." Then, as if struck by a sudden thought, Abathur explained to Kerrigan, "But the Primal Flame Eater has a useful biological structure, powerful long-range firepower, and highly efficient combat capabilities. It can target defensive structures, and we can learn from it."

Upon hearing Abathur's words, Kerrigan was somewhat surprised, but she quickly regained her composure after realizing something. If she wasn't mistaken, the primitive Zerg among the Yhwach's race used some kind of organism as a weapon, much like a symbiotic relationship. However, for the Zerg, the question of what type of organism they needed could simply be answered by evolving new organs, provided they had the corresponding essence or modifications.

Abathur's comments about the complexity and inefficiency are understandable, given that only the Queen and a few other Zerg units on the Swarm side have hand-like structures, while most of the original Zerg units on Yhaka's side have human-like hand structures and can use symbiotic weapons, clearly indicating that they deliberately evolved such structures.

As for why such a structure was deliberately evolved, Kerrigan could easily guess that it was Yhwach's influence that caused the original Zerg to undergo such changes, since only Yhwach's race seemed so out of place with Zerus's original Zerg.

Even so, Kerrigan was still impressed by Yhaka's combat efficiency.

......................................

......................................

During the hunting competition between the two sides, Yuhaka and her group were also hunting a large number of Bristlebacks very quickly. Although Barak's primitive Zerg swarm came to cause trouble, it basically did not hinder Yuhaka and her group. On the contrary, it became food for Yuhaka and her group, adding to their meals.

Soon, under the suppression of Yhwach and Kerrigan's forces, the Bristlebacks in this area were quickly plundered by Yhwach and Kerrigan.

Seeing that the Bristlebacks in his territory had been completely plundered by Yhaka and the corrupted Zerg, Barak was furious and shouted at Yhaka and Kerrigan, "This isn't over! Corrupted Zerg! And the traitors of Zerus!" With that, Barak led his pack in retreat. He clearly knew that his pack couldn't fight against the two groups, and that running away was the best option.

Yhaka and Kerrigan had no intention of pursuing the fleeing Barak. Yhaka didn't chase after him because he needed to bring back the Bristleback meat later, while Kerrigan had no interest in a defeated foe who had escaped. After all, Kerrigan's purpose in coming to this planet was to obtain the power of Zerus, not to play a hunting game.

After comparing the meat from both hunts, it was clear that Yuhaka's side had hunted more Bristleback meat. Upon seeing the result, Yuhaka, with a "=w=~" expression and hands on his hips, said:

"Hmph~ Youyou won! =w=!"

Kerrigan wasn't angry at Yhaka's smug, triumphant demeanor, like a kitten who had won a fight. After all, his childish behavior didn't bother her; Kerrigan had encountered far more infuriating things.

And most importantly, she needed to learn from Yhaka how to obtain the power of the original Zerg, which put Kerrigan in a relatively good mood.

“Yes, you won. As agreed, I brought you the meat. Are you going to keep your promise?” Kerrigan said to Yohaka. Hearing Kerrigan’s words, Yohaka nodded without saying a word and said, “Yes, Kerrigan helped Yohaka get the meat, so Yohaka will help Kerrigan OwO.”

Upon hearing that Yhaka had agreed to take her there, Kerrigan breathed a sigh of relief. After all, she had considered the possibility that Yhaka might renege on his promise. In that case, Kerrigan wouldn't be able to do anything about it, since Kerrigan alone, along with her crippled Zerg swarm, was no match for him. After all, Yhaka had previously shot down a Leviathan, and even the Queen of Blades couldn't defeat him. What could the Zerg swarm possibly use to fight him now?

Fortunately, the other party is a trustworthy person (?), so at least the previous actions were not in vain.

After confirming that Yhaka was willing to take her there, Kerrigan and her Zerg swarm followed Yhaka to her territory. On the way, Kerrigan, who was with Yhaka, asked her about the Corrupted Zerg that Barak had mentioned before. Yhaka told Kerrigan what she knew about this.

"I see. Now I understand why those primitive alien insects hate us so much."

Kerrigan, who was thinking about something, was also a little surprised after hearing what Yhwach said. The original Zerg were biological weapons created by the corrupted Xel'Naga, "Amon". After Amon eliminated the remaining original Zerg on Zerus, he left. Of course, Amon was too lazy to care about the remaining small fry and left as well.

Those small fry—the surviving original Zerg—hated Amon and the Zerg he modified. Kerrigan finally understood why the original Zerg hated the Zerg swarm so much. However, what Kerrigan couldn't understand was why Yhaka, as an original Zerg, didn't have any hatred for the Zerg swarm.

"Youyou, are you also a primitive alien insect?"

Eyhaka, who had been hopping and skipping along, stopped and turned around after hearing Kerrigan's question, looking at her with an "OwO?" expression, as if he didn't quite understand why she would ask such a question. However, Eyhaka truthfully told Kerrigan, "Well, Eyhaka is a Primal Zerg, OwO, what's wrong?"

Seeing the puzzled look on Yhaka's face, Kerrigan asked the question that had been bothering her: "If you are a Primal Zerg, why don't you seem to share the hatred that the Primal Zerg have towards the Swarm?"

After hearing Kerrigan's question, Yhwach looked puzzled for a moment before answering:

"Youyou doesn't know, why does Youyou hate the insect swarm? Is it because the insect swarm doesn't taste good?"

Upon hearing Yohaka's reply, Kerrigan's lips twitched slightly. Clearly, she hadn't expected such an answer from Yohaka. Seriously, why would you hold a grudge just because it wasn't tasty?!
