“Alas, ever since that Colonel Medru came here three years ago, these pirates have come once a year. Every time the pirates leave, the Navy comes and collects protection money from us under the pretext of capturing pirates. Half of the money we earn in a year is robbed by the pirates and the other half is given to the Navy. It’s not just our island that’s like this; it’s the same on the nearby islands,” the old man said sadly.
A cold glint flashed in Lin Yi's eyes. Only killing could quell the anger in his heart towards this navy that was harming civilians.
“Old man, don’t worry, I’ll take care of this scum of the navy,” Lin Yi said.
"Don't be impulsive, they have guns and cannons," the old man advised.
"Haha, don't worry, I'm very strong. Now, you first arrange for the villagers to collect the bodies of these murdered villagers and take back the valuables. Leave the rest to me," Lin Yi reassured him.
"Alright, be careful." Seeing that he couldn't persuade Lin Yi, the old man had no choice but to go and arrange for the villagers to do their work.
Not long after, the Silver Dragon arrived at the island.
Da Pan jumped off the boat and asked, "Brother, what's the situation now?"
Lin Yi recounted the incident to them, and they all showed expressions of anger.
"Damn it, I never thought there were such scoundrels in the Navy," Felina said through gritted teeth.
"Alright, don't be angry anymore. I'm sure they'll be here soon, and then you can vent your anger properly," Lin Yi said.
"But Captain, aren't you afraid of offending the Navy?" Reiju's mindset hadn't changed yet. Living on the seas, she saw the Navy as very powerful.
“Don’t be afraid of Reiju. Whether they are pirates or marines, we will kill them all if they do evil,” Felina said.
"Yes, with Big Brother here, we're not afraid of anyone," Da Pan said proudly.
Reiju thought about it and agreed; the captain was indeed very powerful.
The group arrived halfway through their meal and were still a bit hungry, so they took the small sea king octopus off the boat and started barbecuing it on the island while waiting for the navy to arrive.

Chapter 49 My dad is Lieutenant General MacArthur
The navy arrived much later than Lin Yi had expected; the two warships only arrived after they had finished eating.
The warship stopped some distance from the island. Just as Lin Yi and his companions were wondering what was going on, rows of cannons were extended from the warship. Lin Yi's expression changed, and sure enough, the cannons fired in unison at the island.
"Damn it, these bastards are inhuman!" Lin Yi cursed.
The navy arrived late, presumably having received word of their arrival. But Lin Yi hadn't expected that the navy wouldn't even spare the island's inhabitants, bombarding the island with artillery and attempting to bury them along with Lin Yi and his companions.
Lin Yi was about to step forward to stop the shells, but before he could act, the shells all changed direction and attacked the naval warship.
This terrified the navy on the warship. The stronger ships used various methods to block the "betrayal" shells. After a period of chaos, the warship was hit a few times, but fortunately it survived and was spared from being destroyed and losing all its crew.
Lin Yi looked at his friends and immediately spotted Fiona, who had her hands behind her back and looked nonchalant. It was clear that she was the one who had just made the move.
Lin Yi's face darkened. Ever since Fiona ate the String-String Fruit, she seemed to have awakened some attributes. For example, her current pretentious behavior made it hard not to beat her up.
"Isn't this stealing my chance to show off in front of others?" Lin Yi was somewhat indignant. Life was tough; even showing off had its competitive moments.
Just as Lin Yi was lost in thought, the fish-men brothers had already decisively taken action. Dotai swiftly approached one of the warships, and with a sudden, powerful punch, the force of the blow was like a thunderbolt. In an instant, a deafening roar was heard, and the massive, sturdy warship was easily pierced as if made of paper, then slowly sank into the sea.
Simon, however, was far more ferocious. Relying on his immense strength and the explosive power of his trident, he directly blasted the warship into countless fragments. With a deafening explosion, the entire warship instantly turned into a sea of fire and ruins. The sailors on board didn't even have time to react before they were all swallowed up by the sea along with the warship, none surviving.
Lin Yi grabbed a naval soldier who had miraculously escaped the explosion and was struggling and calling for help in the water. Lin Yi dragged the still-shaken sailor ashore and began to question him urgently. After a tense exchange, Lin Yi finally confirmed with the sailor that it was the naval captain, Madru, who had given the order to shell the island.
"Big brother, what do we do now? Should we go and kill that damn Navy Captain Medru?" Da Pan was furious when he learned that the Navy Captain had actually ordered the shelling of civilians. He wanted nothing more than to punch him.
“Of course, this kind of naval scum is even more despicable than pirates. Let’s go and meet him.” Lin Yi took the lead and boarded the Silver Dragon, heading towards the 16th branch of the East China Sea Navy.
Of course, Lin Yi signed in before leaving. Even a small favor is still a favor, isn't it?
After more than two hours of sailing, the Silver Dragon finally arrived at the 16th Branch of the East China Sea Navy, a medium-sized island that had been transformed by the Navy into a fortress.
Before the Silver Dragon even got close, a loud blare came from the naval branch.
"To the ships ahead, this is the 16th Branch of the East China Sea Navy. Who are you people, and what brings you to the Navy branch?"
After receiving a signal from Lin Yi, Simon replied, "We are pirate hunters, and we've come to the Marine branch to exchange our bounty money."
A few minutes of silence followed inside the naval branch, then the voice rang out again, "Then you'll dock the ship at Pier 2. I'm warning you, don't try anything funny."
The Silver Dragon docked smoothly at Pier 2. As soon as Lin Yi and his group disembarked, a middle-aged man wearing a naval justice cloak approached them.
"Come with me," the man said with a strange expression.
Lin Yi and his group didn't care about the other party's attitude; they were ready to wipe them out in no time if it came to a fight.
Following behind that person, Lin Yi and the others curiously looked around. They had been to many naval branches before, so this place wasn't much different. However, they were somewhat surprised when they arrived at the naval office building.
The place was decorated in an extremely luxurious style. The walls were inlaid with various precious gems, which shimmered with a mesmerizing light under the illumination. The floor was covered with expensive carpets from faraway lands, making each step feel like walking on clouds. A huge crystal chandelier stood in the center of the hall, refracting colorful light.
Lin Yi sneered inwardly. The navy should uphold justice and integrity, yet this place was so extravagant. The naval officer who led the way took them to an office. Sitting behind the desk was a rather handsome young man, presumably the infamous Colonel Madru who had wreaked havoc in the area.
"Reporting to the Colonel, the person has been brought here," the naval officer who had led the way said respectfully.
"Pirate hunter? Hmph, that's probably a lie." Colonel Madru's gaze was cold.
Lin Yi ignored Medru's unfriendly words and instead took out the head of the pirate leader who attacked the island from his spatial storage and threw it on the expensive table in front of Medru.
Enraged by the "insolence," the officer drew his pistol and pointed it at Lin Yi.
But the next moment, his head was slammed against the wall by Dotai. Dotai said coldly, "Who gave you the courage to point a gun at the captain?" As he spoke, he increased the pressure on his hand, and the officer passed out. Dotai glanced at him disdainfully and then stood behind Lin Yi.
Lin Yi's lips twitched; he realized his teammates were becoming increasingly pretentious.
Madru stared at the pirate head, his heart filled with rage, yet also with confusion. Hadn't he sent men to bombard them? How did they end up here?
Lin Yi crossed his arms and said in a cold voice, "Colonel Madru, why did you order the bombardment of an innocent island?"
Colonel Madru's expression changed slightly. "Are you accomplices of that group? Men, seize them!" A group of naval soldiers rushed in.
Lin Yi and the others remained completely unfazed, instead displaying mocking smiles. Da Pan burst into laughter, "You think you can take me on?"
After saying that, Da Pan unleashed his Conqueror's Haki, and the surrounding marines collapsed and lost consciousness before they even reached him.
"You...who are you people? Do you know what a crime it is to attack a naval branch?" Madru shouted, his voice trembling with fear as he looked at his men's utterly helpless state.
"Do you know what crime it is for the Navy to shell innocent civilians?" Fiona said coldly.
"No, no, no, it's a misunderstanding. I only ordered them to bombard the pirates," Madru hurriedly explained.
"This kid's not behaving himself, brother, just kill him," Da Pan said impatiently.
Lin Yi nodded and said, "Then kill them."
"Alright!" Da Pan grabbed Medru from the ground, ready to give him an invincible whirlwind.
Madru was grabbed by Big Pan and trembled with fear. He cried out, "No, no, no, you can't kill me! My father is Vice Admiral Madarse. If you kill me, my father will not let you get away with it!"
"Oh," Lin Yi hadn't expected this kid to have such a big fish behind him. Lin Yi thought for a moment and stopped Da Pan from playing around.
"Can you contact your father now?" Lin Yi asked.
"Yes...yes, you can ask my father for anything. I'm his only son, and he'll definitely agree." Medru thought Lin Yi wanted something, so he desperately tried to prove his worth, fearing Lin Yi might kill him immediately.
Madru took a Den Den Mushi from the cabinet by the wall, dialed a number, and after a while, a round face with a thick beard appeared on the Den Den Mushi. Lin Yi and the others looked at Madru's handsome face and then at the round face with strange expressions. There might be something going on here.
“Brubru, this is MacArthur, what’s up, Madru?” MacArthur’s rough voice came through the Den Den Mushi.
"Dad, help me!" MacArthur cried out urgently.
"What happened? Explain yourself. Did you encounter any danger?" MacArthur on the Den Den Mushi looked worried.
Lin Yi pulled Madru's body back and said into the Den Den Mushi, "Lieutenant General MacArthur, your son is in my hands."
“My friend, I don’t know what my son has done to offend you. I apologize in advance. If you release my son, I will reward you handsomely,” MacArthur said calmly.
"We can talk about the reward later. I just want to ask you if you know what your son did in Donghai?" Lin Yi asked.
Upon hearing Lin Yi's question, MacArthur on the other end of the Den Den Mushi paused for a moment before replying, "I will report Madru's situation to the Navy, and they will give him the punishment he deserves."
Upon hearing this, Lin Yi understood and immediately hung up the phone without saying anything more.
Looking at the Den Den Mushi that had been disconnected, MacArthur's face turned unusually gloomy and ugly. His usually deep and sharp eyes were now filled with worry and anger. How could he not know what had happened to his son? In fact, MacArthur knew better than anyone else that the reason his good-for-nothing son, Madru, could so blatantly oppress and exploit the people in the East Blue was entirely because his father was secretly covering for and protecting him within the Navy.
MacArthur did not report the matter. He knew that his son was probably in grave danger. Now he had to think about how to extricate himself from the Medru incident. Thinking about this, he had a headache. The Navy branch chief died in his own branch. This matter could not be kept secret.
MacArthur paced back and forth in his office, having no other choice but to seek help from his backer, a long-retired admiral.
Meanwhile, as Lin Yi hung up the phone, Madru felt utterly hopeless.
Seeing Lin Yi turn his gaze towards him, he said somewhat frantically, "You can't kill me! My father is a vice admiral in the navy. If you kill me, the navy won't let you off the hook. We're just a bunch of civilians anyway. What right do you have to kill me? I won't accept this!"
"Don't be so rude!" Da Pan snapped his neck. The world fell silent instantly.
"Our days probably won't be as carefree as before. You know, what happened here will eventually reach the Navy. I reckon it won't be long before they issue arrest warrants for us. Hehe, how about it? Are you guys scared?" Lin Yi's lips curled into a faint smile.
Da Pan and the others laughed when they heard this. With Lin Yi around, they could go anywhere in the world. What was there to be afraid of?
Chapter 50 Naval Wanted
Sure enough, not long after Lin Yi left the 16th Branch of the East China Sea Navy, the Navy Headquarters learned of the murder of the 16th Branch Chief by Lin Yi and his men. Of course, the evil deeds committed by Madru were also compiled into a written report and placed on Fleet Admiral Sengoku's desk.
Because the matter involved a powerful figure like Lin Yi, the Warring States had no choice but to convene a meeting to discuss it.
In the Naval Headquarters conference room, Sengoku sat in the middle chair, flanked by: Vice Admiral Tsuru, the naval strategist and intellectual leader; Vice Admiral Garp, the famous naval hero and conference slacker; Admiral Kizaru Borsalino, the naval slacker and admiral who always let things slide; Zephyr, the former admiral who never killed anyone and now the naval chief instructor; and MacArthur, the father of the victim of the incident.
As for the others, they either had other commitments or weren't qualified; in any case, there were only a few people at the meeting.
As soon as he sat down, Sengoku angrily roared at MacArthur, "Do you know that your son's actions are bringing shame to the Navy? You still have the nerve to ask the Navy to avenge him? You'd better give me a reasonable explanation now, or I'll send you to Impel Down."
MacArthur was immediately trembling with fear. His desire to cause trouble for Lin Yi and the others had long since vanished. He only hoped he wouldn't be held accountable. He cautiously said, "Marshal, I truly knew nothing about my son's affairs. He was just mischievous before, and I only intended to send him to the East Sea for training. I never imagined this rebellious son would commit such a heinous act. If I had known earlier, I would have certainly upheld justice and personally killed him."
"Hmph!" Sengoku snorted coldly, his gaze fixed intently on the person before him, his face filled with authority and sternness. "You think you can just brush this off with a simple 'I don't know'? Let me tell you, this matter is not that simple! Headquarters will conduct a thorough investigation into your case. From now on, you will stay obediently at Marine Headquarters and are not allowed to go anywhere. If it is ultimately found that you do indeed have problems, then you'd better obediently roll into Impel Down on your own initiative, and don't even think about resisting or escaping! Do you understand? Alright, now you can go back and wait for further instructions. Remember, during this period, you are not allowed to leave without permission, otherwise you will bear the consequences!"
MacArthur stood there, pale-faced, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. He hadn't expected that Sengoku wouldn't even give his former superior any face, directly ordering him to be dismissed and investigated. But he had no choice but to retreat in a panic.
"Hmph, it's good to kill these scumbags. I've been working so hard to wipe out pirates in the East Blue, and now they're causing trouble there," Garp said coldly, though he rarely voiced his opinions in meetings. It was clear he was genuinely angry this time.
"That being said, Lin Yi's act of brazenly killing a naval captain in front of everyone at the naval branch was extremely arrogant and showed he completely disregarded the entire navy! He could have simply reported Madru's crimes to the naval leadership and let the navy carry out the arrest. Instead, he chose such an extreme and reckless method, directly putting the navy in a very passive position," Sengoku said with a grim expression.
Sengoku was furious at Lin Yi's disregard for the navy. On one hand, he was outraged by Medru's lawless and reckless behavior; on the other hand, he disliked Lin Yi's willful and unrestrained style. His brow furrowed, his gaze sweeping sharply over everyone present, and he said in a deep voice, "Everyone, think carefully. Given the current situation, what is the most appropriate course of action to take in dealing with Lin Yi?"
“Lin Yi’s strength is too formidable. Our navy currently does not have enough combat power to capture them,” Vice Admiral He said with a frown.
"They haven't done anything wrong. In fact, the Navy should thank them for helping to get rid of this scoundrel. In my opinion, we should just ignore that kid. Didn't Aokiji say before that he saved the Navy?" Garp said nonchalantly.
“Garp, it’s not as simple as you think. Lin Yi has embarrassed the Navy this time. If the Navy ignores this, it will be a blow to the Navy’s reputation,” Zephyr explained.
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Garp resigned himself to his fate.
“Since the Navy doesn’t have enough power to capture Lin Yi and his crew, let’s issue bounties and raise their rewards. With their strength, they’ll eventually go to the New World, which will also cause a conflict between them and Kaido,” Vice Admiral Tsuru suggested.
"Then it's decided. Crane, get the General Staff to determine their bounty amount as soon as possible," Sengoku said decisively.
