But as Manshu lay down on the bed, his life force rapidly vanished, and the healthy rosy complexion gradually turned bluish, beginning to resemble that of a mummy. ⑤
The process was quite rapid; it took only a minute for Manshu to completely transform into a corpse-like, mummy-like form.
But Manju was clearly not dead. His limbs began to tremble, and specks of yellow lightning danced on his body, as if bringing life to his body.
"wake up!"
A shout rang out like thunder, and the lightning that was jumping around on Manshu's body instantly covered his entire body. His mummy-like body immediately became plump and full, and quickly transformed into the appearance of a living person.
In less than half a minute, Manshu sat up from the stone bed and turned his head in surprise to look at the murals of the Ennead and Horus behind him.
During the minute or so that he lay down and closed his eyes, Manzu was unaware of what was happening outside, because in the dark world behind his closed eyes, light outlined twelve indistinct human-shaped shadows.
They made no sound; they simply existed there.
Although it was only an outline like a shadow, Manshu could clearly feel as if a gaze was falling on her, as if those shadows were sizing her up.
Manshu had no idea how long this lasted until a clap of thunder echoed in the dark space, followed by a cry of awakening from the twelve silhouettes in front of him. Suddenly, all the images vanished, and Manshu opened his eyes to find himself sitting up in bed.
8. Are those the Egyptian gods of this place? Or are they gods that one has summoned and that respond to the festival celebrations, forming a ritual or something similar that allows their power to manifest?
(5) Manju could only harbor doubts in his heart without being able to understand them, after all, it was just an outline that appeared when he closed his eyes, and it was so fleeting that he couldn't even catch a glimpse of it.
Qi Manshu tried to catch any trace of what might be left here, but he was unsuccessful.
In the end, Liu could only put his formal attire back on, pick up his shepherd's staff and flail, and walk out of the room.
6. Today's activities have come to an end. Manju changed out of his formal attire and, the next day, changed into the Pharaoh's everyday clothes. At dawn, he erected the Jed Pillar inside the temple.
(3) The meaning of the Jed Pillar in hieroglyphs is endurance and stability. The Pharaoh will erect this pillar after his rebirth to pray for his longevity.
④ The next step is for the pharaoh to offer land to the gods, which is a symbol of the pharaoh's renewal of his rule.
The pharaohs needed to run back and forth across the lands that symbolized the borders of Egypt in order to renew their rule and ownership of the lands.
Normally, the distance the Pharaoh would have to travel is actually quite short, since it's mostly symbolic. However, for the Servants, actually crossing the territory of Egypt back and forth wouldn't be a big problem.
After all, this is not the complete Egypt; although it is not small, it can probably only be considered a city-state.
Manju first put on the red crown symbolizing the rulers of Lower Egypt, and with dance-like movements, you crossed the borders of Egypt twice, then put on the white crown representing the rulers of Upper Egypt, repeating the same action.
The process did not take too long; in fact, Manjuschadenfreude did not rush through the crowds, but instead allowed them to watch as the Pharaoh surveyed the land of Egypt.
After completing everything, Manju went into another, smaller palace and dedicated the land to the god Vipuvid to ensure the continued prosperity of the nation.
After this ceremony is completed, one should return to the city to complete the final public ceremony.
In the city, the Pharaoh will be re-crowned, donning the crowns representing the royal power of Upper and Lower Egypt in turn. After the double crown is placed on his head, the whole city will cheer together, and bands and singers will play music, bringing the festive atmosphere to its peak.
Next comes the performance ceremony, which will involve performing the different customs of Upper and Lower Egypt separately.
According to the customs of Lower Egypt, the Pharaoh was carried by the great ones of Upper and Lower Egypt, namely the high priests, in a palanquin that resembled a box, and walked towards the temple of Horus.
Horus was the god who represented Lower Egypt. The Pharaoh received the scepter from Horus, which represented the power and wealth he obtained.
During this process, people would stand beside the Pharaoh, chanting praises in turn to continuously extol the Pharaoh's authority.
According to the customs of Upper Egypt, the Pharaoh would ride in a basket-shaped palanquin, carried by priests representing the gods Horus and Set, to the temples of Horus and Set.
The priests of the temple would hand the bow and arrows to the priests who carried the pharaoh's palanquin, and the priests would then hand the bow and arrows to the pharaoh, who would then shoot an arrow in each of the four directions.
During this process, every time the Pharaoh shot an arrow, Horus and Set would each hand the crown to the Pharaoh.
However, although sOUSUo:2°<9∠<㈣*…琳♀→㈣◆散伍潞㈣ are ordinary arrows, in Manshu's hands they can still be shot at a considerable distance. If they were slightly better, they should be able to cross the desert.
But if we were to do that now, the bow in our hands would probably break first.
So Manju simply changed his target to something that existed in the desert, drew his bowstring, and shot.
The ordinary arrows instantly transformed into bolts of lightning, flying out like thunderbolts falling from the sky and crashing into the sandstorm outside the city.
Manju fired four arrows in succession, but with the last shot, he used a little more force, causing the bow in his hand to vanish.
"With the might of the god Set, Pharaoh purged the enemies who coveted the land of Egypt, and the knights who ventured into the desert perished under the Pharaoh's divine power!"
Manjushri instructed his attendants on the destruction of the bow, and they immediately proclaimed it loudly, drawing excited shouts from the crowd nearby.
In this desert, scattered groups of knights, acting alone or in small teams, are sent by the king to gather intelligence on the Sun King.
Although the two sides have reached a temporary peace of non-aggression on the surface, the Lion King has been preparing to launch an attack on the Sun King.
The Knights of the Righteousness have also been invading the desert region, but on a smaller scale, mainly to gather intelligence, so that they can easily make excuses if they are discovered.
These lightning arrows were tracking the Chastity Knights in the desert, and each arrow melted the target Chastity Knight into molten iron.
The final arrow, fired with all its might, was aimed at the edge of the desert, where a knight in purple armor stood.
As lightning descended with the speed of lightning, the valiant knight sensed it first and drew his holy sword, which shone like a lake, directly from its sheath.
The blade of the Unbreakable Sword struck the lightning directly, causing the arrow to explode on the spot and leaving some charred marks on the knight's purple armor.
"Was that the Sun King's lightning? Or did it make him realize something?"
Although it wouldn't be difficult to defend against, the sight made the knight frown. He had a mission for the king that he hadn't yet completed, and he couldn't afford to be distracted.
Meanwhile, Manshu, having exhausted his arrows, was carried back to the Great Temple in a palanquin by the priests.
The pharaoh's actions then came to an end. In the original procedure, what remained was the pharaoh's sacrifice to his ancestors, which had little to do with the others.
Upon returning to the Great Temple, Manjusque had the priests remove his crown and clothes and store them in his own room before he went to see Osmandis.
"How about the festival I hold for you? It is an eternal festival that you, as a pharaoh, should enjoy."
Osmandis seemed to be in a pretty good mood; such a festive occasion was certainly exciting.
Manju, unusually, exchanged a few polite but meaningless words before asking Osmandis about his experiences.
"Hahaha, you are indeed the Pharaoh favored by God! This is God's gift to the Pharaoh, a rebirth of the Pharaoh at God's call."
In that case, it is not I who bestow this festival upon you, but rather Amun-Ra who has granted Pharaoh the Saïd festival, granted you eternal years, and granted you the throne of Horus. Rejoice!
Osmandis congratulated him, and Manju, seeing that he couldn't get anything substantial out of him, simply echoed him with some ordinary words before returning to his room.
Chapter Fourteen: Return
With only a few days left of the festival, everyone was left to celebrate, but Manshu preferred to stay atop the Great Temple and look down.
After these few days of celebrations, Manjushri can no longer go out as easily, because the people have already memorized his face and know his identity.
The purpose of Sa'd is to renew the Pharaoh's royal power, proclaim the Pharaoh's authority and existence to the people, and ensure that the Pharaoh's royal power continues to be exercised in this land in a new and stronger form, so that the people will not forget the Pharaoh's royal power due to the passage of time.
Of course, those pharaohs who held the festival ahead of time did so because of fluctuations in royal power, and therefore had to hold the festival ahead of time to consolidate royal power and their decisions.
For example, Akhenaten, who carried out some rather drastic reforms, weakened the power of the priests of Amun, completely banned the worship of traditional gods in various places, closed the temples of Amun, transferred the temples of Amun to the temples of Aten, and established Aten as the only god.
In order to completely erase the god Amun from people's minds, Akhenaten ordered the removal of the word Amun from all buildings and moved the capital from Thebes, where Amun had risen, to Akhenaten.
Therefore, Akhenaten began celebrating the Sa'd festival in the sixth year of his reign, attempting to further consolidate and strengthen the god Aten through the festival. However, his reforms obviously failed in the end and were even ignored by later pharaohs.
As Manju descended from the Great Temple, he saw the crowd kneeling on the ground like toppled dominoes, kissing the earth and offering praise to the Pharaoh.
Although it was still novel to see it a few times before, it was impossible to experience the festival, so Manshu simply didn't bother going down and just looked down from the platform of the Great Temple.
Anyway, his vision is sufficient to see clearly everything happening below even over such a long distance.
It's a pity that Nitocris was sent by Osmandis to the underworld to replace Manjussi, where she sat on the Pharaoh's throne during the daily program that proclaimed the Pharaoh's majesty, waiting expressionlessly for the program to end.
Manshu would definitely be too lazy to do this kind of thing anymore; it would get boring after a while.
"Hmm...? What happened inside the Great Temple?"
Manshu, who was leisurely drinking fine wine and enjoying delicious food on the rooftop while watching the people celebrating below, suddenly frowned.
Although not very obvious, Manju, who was atop the Great Temple, could clearly sense the fluctuations of magical energy emanating from the main temple below.
If there are no problems with the perception, these should be traces of a battle, though not intense. Normally, Osmandis wouldn't need to use any magic within the main temple. (Nine)
But who could possibly appear in Osmandis's main temple under such calm circumstances and confront him?
This reminded Manju of something: during their battle, Osmandis's head never seemed to shift.
Manshu carefully tried to detect it, and indeed seemed to sense a familiar aura. (iv)
That was undoubtedly a feeling lingering from the valley, similar to the aura emanating from Hassan, the Shadow of the Valley, whom Manshu had once faced. (III)
And within Manju's heart, the mountain heart beat gently, confirming Manju's thoughts.
Otherwise, Manjusaka would likely have been unable to capture the fleeting essence of that secluded valley.
Manju immediately jumped down from the platform and walked towards the main temple.
No matter how fast Manshu rushed, by the time he arrived, King Hassan would likely have already left.
The magical fluctuations were merely Osmandis's counterattack, but King Hassan swung his sword once, severing Osmandis's head before merging into the darkness and returning to the valley.
When Manjus arrived at the main temple, Osmandis was sitting on his throne, holding his head in place with both hands.
The pillars at the back of the temple showed signs of damage caused by magic, and it seemed that Osmandis was not in a hurry to repair them, but was instead assessing his condition.
When Osmandis saw Manju enter, he quickly put down his other hand and propped his head up with only one hand, making it look as if he were resting on the throne.
"Hahaha... Did you sense my magic to punish villains and rush here? There's no need to worry about that. Under the Pharaoh's glory, all shadows and darkness will vanish in an instant."
You still lack trust in me, and you lack understanding of the Pharaoh's power. I—oh dear…”
Osmandis, feigning nonchalance, burst into laughter, and subconsciously reached out, causing the head that was being supported to tilt sharply to the side.
However, the Pharaoh's hand was also quite quick; he immediately pulled it back and supported its head, preventing it from falling directly.
When the truth that Osmandis intended to conceal could no longer be hidden, he pretended nothing had happened.
A deathly silence fell over the scene. Osmandis could speak with just his gaze, and Manju could read the question, "Do you see it?" in that gaze.
Manshu could only look away and walk out as if nothing had happened, only glancing around to see if she could still catch any trace of the secluded valley.
But since King Hassan only swung his sword once and left without any hesitation, it's impossible that he left anything behind.
Swelling: 尓\∽⑼%“偲↓林∑~④◎∞三%∫儛+:tumorˇ∥㈣“Stop, let me tell you what just happened.”
But Manjus had only turned around and taken two steps when Osmandis's majestic voice came from behind.
"There's no need to rush this. Since you were just attacked and injured by the enemy, I'll come back to you to find out what happened after you've recovered."
Manshu did not turn around immediately, but spoke quite politely.
"No, these injuries will not heal before you leave, but you are going to the dwelling place of the mountain people. As my fellow countrymen, as someone who will stand with me to save the world, I cannot hide this danger from you."
Osmandis solemnly said that after understanding Osmandis's specific meaning, Manshu turned around with relief and walked to the foot of the steps of Osmandis's throne.
