"The Jade Gate is opening. On behalf of the Immortal Boat Alliance of Luofu, I welcome our guests from afar. Please follow the signs and dock in an orderly manner."
"It was intermittent, and it took a while to recover. That Star Core Hunter really wasn't lying to us; something might really have happened to the Immortal Ship!"
On March 7th, seemingly realizing everything too late, he turned around only to find everyone else looking like they already knew, and instantly lost his spirit.
Walter looked at March 7: "March, on your way to call Danheng, we confirmed that Kafka was not lying."
"Oh? I see. That puts my mind at ease."
Seeing the relieved look on March 7th, everyone couldn't help but laugh.
"Our first priority is to help the 'Luofu' Immortal Ship dispose of that star core. Himeko, I'm leaving everything on the train in your care with Danheng."
Don't worry, Walter.
"Okay, let's go then."
After confirming everything, the four got out of the car, only to be greeted by a dense array of shipping containers.
Hmm? That thing reacted?
At the back of the group, Dust Calamity pulled out the small iron block he had used in Yalilo-VI from his pocket; that iron block had now turned fluorescent green.
The child did indeed come, right there on "Luofu," but he didn't come to find me. Did he secretly follow his companions?
After naturally putting the metal piece into his pocket, Dust Calamity looked at Welt ahead.
“Mr. Walter, isn’t it strange that there’s no one here?”
Chapter 69 Stopping Clouds? Illusory Haze
"This looks more like a cargo unloading dock than a place for passengers to disembark, which is a bit strange."
"Oh right, that's what we were just thinking about, who guided us here?"
March 7th was a bit dissatisfied. We came to help out of kindness, but what's the story behind you directing us to the unloading area?
Walter thought for a moment and came up with the answer.
"We need to start by investigating the person who opened the Jade Gate. If they have ulterior motives, it will save us trouble. If they are just staff members, we can find out the reason."
"Also, Chen Jie, you just asked me if there was anything else you wanted to say?"
Walter turned to look at Dustfall, and froze the next second.
Where did you get this tablet from?
"Hmm? Well, it's just a little toy for detecting any unusual energy sources nearby; it's nothing special."
Watching Dustfall operate on its own, Welt couldn't understand it, let alone March 7th and Star, who had even stood on either side of Dustfall, observing from the sidelines.
"Is this thing capable of detecting the presence of enemies?"
"Uh, it's somewhat similar, but not entirely. The main thing is to check if anyone's around."
As Dust Tribulation operated the device, images began to appear on the tablet.
"Huh? These people falling one by one are soldiers, right? They look like they're seriously injured! Dust Tribulation, where are these people?!"
"A soldier? Seriously wounded?"
Walter, who was watching from the sidelines, straightened his expression. The fact that the Cloud Cavalry had been injured, and seriously injured, on the Luofu Immortal Ship was clearly no small matter.
He couldn't care less about observing from the sidelines and immediately asked, "Chen Jie, which direction is he in?"
"Go straight for 300 meters, turn right, go for about 600 meters, then turn left. From the first turn to the end, the entire road is littered with Yunqi soldiers."
At first, Walter thought Dustfall was reporting coordinates, but after listening to the end, he realized it was reporting the number of casualties.
Walterton felt a chill run down his spine and sensed a conspiracy.
They can't just use us as scapegoats, can they?
"March, stars, dust calamity... it seems we need to hurry and see if we can save as many Cloud Cavalry soldiers as possible."
"Cloud Cavalry? Is that what those soldiers are called? No, this isn't the time to think about that; saving lives is the priority."
"Xing, let's hurry and catch up with Uncle Yang. Chen Jie, stop looking around and catch up too."
However, Chen Jie ignored the crowd that had already run away and continued operating the tablet. Soon, he saw a fox-person being escorted by a group of cloud cavalry.
The fox-person emitted a blinding white light, and as the view zoomed in, an electronic virtual projection appeared beside the fox-person.
"Lord of Destruction, Illusion, it seems this invention is somewhat useful. It can be upgraded later."
Dust Tribulation stuffed the tablet into his pocket, and strangely, it seemed to disappear after being put in the pocket; there was no outward sign of anything amiss.
"Running that fast?"
Not far ahead, when the three arrived, it was indeed as Chen Jie had said: the ground was littered with Cloud Cavalry soldiers.
But it wasn't as they understood. They were mostly lying or sitting on the ground, too exhausted to fight anymore. It wasn't as serious as in the video; they didn't seem to be injured much, and the injuries were scattered and not as numerous as they thought.
Seeing this, Walter felt a sense of relief.
If what Chen Jie just said was indeed the number of casualties, then the immortal ship is in big trouble, and so are they.
"Are you all alright? Are you okay?"
With her strong empathy, March 7th looked at the Cloud Cavalryman who was still struggling to stand up and quickly pressed him down.
"You'd better not move and wait for rescue."
"No, don't worry about me, go, go ahead, hurry!"
"What about ahead, Uncle Yang?" Chen Jie hadn't caught up yet, and March 7th was also unsure.
Walter frowned slightly: "Strange, why don't we see that this isn't the only wound, but rather that none of the Cloud Cavalry have any wounds?"
"Sir, this matter concerns secrets of the Alliance; it is not appropriate to speculate further."
At this moment, the soldier spoke more fluently: "We are simply exhausted."
Exhausted? No, what are they hiding?
Walter's brow furrowed deeper and deeper.
"I urge you all to proceed quickly ahead! Hurry!"
The sudden shout from the Cloud Cavalry soldiers startled March 7th and Xing, especially seeing the other side nimbly stand up and hearing their tone.
Anyone can see there's something wrong with this.
Sure enough, several slender golden branches sprouted from the gaps in the armor, quickly branching out and spreading, and the soldiers began to glow with golden light.
All of this happened in just a few seconds. The Cloud Cavalry's sudden change startled March 7, who immediately ran behind Walter.
"My God! What's going on?!"
The soldiers, deeply entangled in demonic influence, began to shout in a shrill, piercing voice: "Quick, move out of here!"
The next second, however, he directly swung his Guan Dao at Walter.
"Living people turned into monsters? Is this what Kafka meant by 'contamination'?" Xing, standing to the side, was utterly astonished, holding her fire spear and momentarily speechless.
Walter gripped his cane tightly, preparing to strike, when a fiery red blade flashed past, piercing through the body of the Cloud Cavalry soldier before him.
"cut!"
"Next time you encounter a situation like this, don't just stand there like a log with a weapon in hand, Xing."
Dust Calamity approached, wielding the Blazing Blade, his eyes never leaving the fallen Cloud Cavalry soldier.

"Dust Calamity, you've finally made it!"
"Hey! What's that long sword you're holding? Is it a new type of weapon?"
Suddenly, a golden light shone from the soldier's body, accompanied by the sound of metal being crushed. The cloud cavalry soldier, who had just been "dead," suddenly stood up.
Its armor was crushed and crumpled together by branches, and a pair of arm blades grew from its arms, making it clearly look like a monster.
"Ah! He's alive again! What happened?!"
This was the first time anyone had witnessed something like the dead coming back to life, and March 7th's screams were quite loud.
This time, however, a flaming spear pierced straight through the chest of the demonic soldier.
With a guilty look in her eyes, Xing slowly drew the gun.
"Feel sorry"
"Thank you"
The soldier, whose consciousness had temporarily returned, managed to thank them before collapsing to the ground with a thud and dissipating into a cloud of golden leaves.
"What...what's going on?" In just a few minutes, March 7th felt like his entire worldview was being turned upside down.
Does a star core have the ability to die and be resurrected, then turn into a monster? Why haven't we seen this before?
Walter pushed up his glasses with a grave expression. This was the first time he had ever seen anything like it. "It looks somewhat like Tree-Man Syndrome, but then again, something doesn't seem right. Tree-Man Syndrome doesn't have the ability to come back to life."
Dust Calamity watched the leaves dissipate into specks of light with a slightly complicated expression.
"The Demonic Yin Body is a unique ailment of the Immortal Ship's Longevity Species. When it flares up, it transforms into the state just described, possessing two lives and becoming a mindless monster."

Chapter 70 Demonic Body
"A demonic body, devoid of reason, attacking on instinct, two lives... am I listening to a storybook?"
After listening to Chen Jie's explanation, March 7 felt like she was listening to an audiobook on her phone: "Chen Jie, are you sure you didn't make a mistake?"
Dust Tribulation slowly shook his head, loosened his grip, and the Blazing Blade vanished into flowing flames.
"The Immortal Ship Alliance, a force renowned throughout the entire universe, and similar forces—I've specifically researched them all."
"All six celestial ships harbor demonic influence."
Recalling what just happened, March 7th felt a chill run down his spine.
"We...we're not going to have to deal with these monsters next, are we? Will the Immortal Ship also label us like they did with the Star Core Hunters?"
