"Got you!"

A warm and familiar voice reached her ears.

The face behind the arm gradually emerged from the darkness.

Peter stood on the roof, reached out, and grabbed Gwen as she was about to fall.

Gwen leaned back, her shocked gaze fixed on Peter.

"Peter?"

She never imagined that Peter would appear here when she was at her lowest point of despair.

"How did you get here?"

Before Peter could answer, Gwen, who had been pulled over, threw herself into his arms and said in a tearful voice, "Thank you, Peter."

Peter's cold expression thawed slightly.

He didn't originally come specifically to save Gwen.

He was enveloped by a murderous intent that seemed to emanate from the depths of his soul, which made him somewhat irritable.

The pitch-black night is a natural hunting ground for aliens.

And he, affected by the alien gene, couldn't help but go out for a walk in the dark.

That wild violence and killing instinct always lingered within him.

After accidentally witnessing Gwen being chased, he followed the two groups to this place.

Feeling the warmth Gwen gave him on his chest, Peter raised his head and looked at the thugs across from him who were preparing to leave.

Chapter 4 Human, or Monster?

"Damn, is she crazy?"

Del Ami was absolutely furious.

They were about to capture Gwen Stacy when she unexpectedly became so bold as to jump onto the roof of the neighboring building.

If it weren't for someone suddenly appearing and grabbing her hand, she probably would have fallen to her death.

"Damn it! This crazy girl will get killed one day!"

Hearing the faint sound of police sirens in the distance, no matter how unwilling he was, he had no choice but to retreat with his men.

The thought of not being able to complete the task assigned by his boss made him feel even worse.

"Boom!"

With their feet on the wet streets, Del and his men tried to leave along the more secluded routes.

Under the dim streetlights, only the sound of several people walking quickly could be heard.

"Da da da!"

At the end of the street, a dull thud of footsteps suddenly came.

In Del's line of sight, a black figure gradually approached him.

Like a hunter lurking in the darkness, it exudes a wild and dangerous aura.

Peter stopped and stood under the flickering streetlights, which were in disrepair, facing Del and his group of burly men.

The flickering streetlights shone on his face, creating an effect of light and shadow.

Sensing danger, Del cautiously looked at Peter.

"It's you! You're the guy who saved that girl!"

He quickly recognized Peter as the guy who had appeared on the roof.

He gestured for his men to prepare, then looked at Peter with hostility. "You're here to avenge that girl?"

"Do not."

Peter shook his head expressionlessly.

He's not the kind of person who's so enthusiastic about solving problems for others.

He was here because he wanted to unleash the murderous urge that was almost consuming him.

While you're at it, check your body to see to what extent you've been affected by the alien gene.

"Who are you people? Gangsters? Or are you here for revenge?"

Peter shook his head before he could finish speaking. "Never mind, I don't want to know."

"Fuck you! Who do you think you are? Don't you dare play dumb with me!"

As Del swore, he immediately pulled out a dagger from his waist.

He's going to teach this boastful bastard a lesson!

With a loud bang, the burly man who was closest to Peter was struck in the chest, letting out a painful groan before collapsing to the ground.

Before anyone else could react, Peter quickly turned around, twisted his waist, and kicked one of the guys in the waist with his right leg.

His lightning-fast movements, coupled with his ruthless methods, allowed him to quickly gain the upper hand over the group of burly men.

The dull thuds of flesh colliding and painful groans echoed through the alley.

A burly man circled behind Peter, brandishing a dagger, and attempted to launch a sneak attack.

Unexpectedly, Peter seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, suddenly turning around and grabbing the dagger.

Blood gushed down the dagger and onto the arm of the burly man in the suit.

The sensation, as if being burned by flames, immediately traveled from his arm along his nerves to his brain.

With a scream, he immediately released his grip on the knife and retreated.

Suppressing the pain, he gasped for breath and looked down at his arm.

The arm, burning with blood, appeared to be scalded by sulfuric acid or a compound, emitting wisps of heat; the skin was rotting and horrifying.

The sudden turn of events left Del and the others completely stunned.

Peter frowned as he looked at the bleeding wound on his palm.

Just as I expected, my blood, like the alien's, has become corrosive?

"hiss!"

Del took a breath and looked at Peter with a shocked and uneasy gaze.

Why is the blood so strange?!

Peter was unaware of what Del and the others were thinking. He clenched his fists and turned his gaze to the bewildered crowd.

The next second, it swiftly lunged forward, like a ferocious beast hunting its prey.

"Oh!"

The burly man in the suit, whose arm was burned, was struck in the chest and let out a painful groan. He slammed heavily against the wall like a baseball that had been bounced off its feet.

Dust fell from the walls in a flurry!

Before anyone else could react, Peter's body moved like lightning, instantly appearing in front of another burly man.

He spun around and twisted his waist, then kicked out with his right leg like a whip.

The burly man, his eyes wide open, felt a piercing pain in his shoulder blades before collapsing heavily to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Peter, having dispatched the henchmen with incredible strength and speed, stood before Del.

Before the other person could react, Peter grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up.

Del made a gurgling sound from his throat, kicked his arms and legs wildly, and his eyes bulged out like corks about to pop off a champagne bottle.

Peter, who was gripping Del's throat, felt an overwhelming urge to kill rising from the bottom of his heart; the most primal impulses occupied his mind.

At the same time, the hunger he had been suppressing gradually rose up.

What appeared before him was incredibly delicious flesh and blood; just one bite would allow him to taste the fresh blood and satisfy his hunger.

Feeling the terrifying pressure, Del frantically pounded on Peter's arm.

Through his blurred vision, he saw a scene that horrified him.

Peter suddenly opened his blood-red mouth, revealing a ferocious array of teeth, with saliva dripping down, making him look incredibly monstrous.

But this change only lasted a moment, and Peter quickly returned to normal.

It was so fast that Del thought he was seeing things.

"You monster!"

Del managed to squeeze out a few words.

"Kacha!"

The next second, Peter crushed his throat.

Del, lifeless, collapsed heavily to the ground.

After dealing with all the burly men, Peter stood there, glanced at the corpses, and then reached out to touch his own cheek.

Did my body undergo a strange change just now?

The effects of the alien gene seem to be more severe than I imagined.

Ripley (the female protagonist of the Alien series) is a clone who has mixed alien genes, and like herself, she has also fused with alien genes to become "Supergirl".

But the other party showed no signs of mental abnormality, while his own mind was being influenced by the alien's most primal desires.

If the alien embryo inside my body isn't removed soon, I don't know if I'll eventually turn into a monster like the alien.

A killing machine whose thoughts are not swayed by conscience, remorse, and morality, even if it is the most perfect "organism," is never the kind of monster one should pursue.

Despite his cold-heartedness, selfishness, and inhumanity, he fundamentally always considered himself a human being.

Looking up at the distant city night sky, Peter shook his head and turned to leave.

As I walked out of the alley, New York City Police Department vehicles sped past, their neon lights gleaming.
