“I got a call from your teacher, Harry.”

Norman walked toward him as he spoke.

"Um, I think I didn't make any mistakes."

Harry shrugged and said, "Except for the punch I gave Paul, but that wasn't my fault. They were arrogant thugs who liked to give me the middle finger all the time, so I punched him in the eye socket."

"The reason I transferred you from the private school to Midtown High School is so that you won't cause any more trouble."

Norman's expression turned displeased. "You need to mature, instead of being as impulsive as before."

"Okay, that was my fault."

Forced by his father's tyranny, Harry readily admitted his mistake.

"Maybe."

But he quickly added, unwilling to give up, "Maybe... I'm a herbivore."

Norman, as his father, had once told him about the difference between scavengers and carnivores.

Carnivores are simply predators, while scavengers are not only predators, but also wait for their prey to be defenseless before striking.

The Osborn family were scavengers.

Harry describes himself as a herbivore, acknowledging that he may not be the kind of person his father expected him to be.

Norman looked at Harry, frowned, and said, "You're not old enough to know yourself yet."

He quickly changed the subject, asking Harry, "Peter Parker is your friend, isn't he?"

"Yes."

Upon hearing his father mention Peter, Harry's previously lifeless expression brightened.

"He is my good friend. He is very smart and has a great interest in science."

Harry put down his pen and said to his father, "We explore our interests together; we're practically partners."

"I'm so glad you've made new friends at school."

Norman Osborn's face softened a little. He walked over, patted Harry on the shoulder, and said, "You can invite Peter and his family to our home. I like kids like that too."

Harry became excited when he heard his father invite Peter over.

"Are you kidding me, Dad?"

"No, of course not. Do you think he would agree?"

"Of course, what's the problem? I mean, he'll definitely be happy, sure, yes."

Harry immediately wanted to take out his phone and invite Peter's family over to his home.

"Great, see you tomorrow then."

Norman patted Harry on the shoulder again and turned to leave.

The next day, early in the morning.

Peter was reading the newspaper in the living room.

Since entering the Marvel universe, he has developed the habit of reading newspapers.

See if you can find any clues you remember from your past life.

News headlines such as "Stark CEO kidnapped by terrorists" and "A giant hammer falls from the sky in New Mexico" are common.

In addition to seeking out familiar news stories, he also tried to find ways to "make money through science".

He needs to figure out how to cover household expenses and the $10,000 loan from Gwen.

And one's own solutions cannot be questioned.

Uncle Ben, sitting on the sofa, suddenly remembered this.

"Ah."

Peter nodded and asked, "How did Uncle Ben know about this?"

"Because you told your uncle a month ago."

Aunt May came out of the kitchen carrying a tray and said to Peter, "You're always so eager to talk about science."

Uncle Ben added with a smile, "Peter is as intelligent as his father."

But he quickly looked regretful. "I was going to go with you, Peter, but I have plans for the weekend."

Before he could finish speaking, Aunt Mei, who was standing next to him, quickly exposed his lie.

"Because your Uncle Ben is going fishing."

Peter put down his newspaper and looked at Uncle Ben. "Uncle Ben, do you like fishing?"

He didn't know that Uncle Ben was actually a fisherman.

Uncle Ben explained somewhat awkwardly, "Ahem, I went with a friend, but I didn't actually like it."

Aunt May continued to play the role of the sabotager, saying, "Don't listen to your uncle. The friend he was with has already passed away. I remember his name was Joe, right?"

Uncle Ben looked nostalgic, sighed, and said, "Yes, just last year, he went fishing in the swamp wearing high-top waterproof boots, and was found drowning. The police said that when they found him, there was still a fish on his fishing rod."

"Maybe it was a trout, or a rainbow trout, or a bass, I can't remember. The police said the cause of death was a stroke."

"Stroke?"

Peter asked doubtfully, "Is that really a coincidence?"

Uncle Ben nodded. "Yes, it was a stroke. The police speculate that when he caught the fish, he was probably too excited, and then a blood clot in his blood vessel broke, and he lost consciousness and fell into the water."

"Because no one was around to help him, he drowned very quickly."

Peter: "."

Another bit of strange knowledge about anglers has been added.

Aunt May placed the pancakes on the table and said to Uncle Ben, "So, fishing is a risky business too."

"We are living in a world of coincidences."

Uncle Ben remarked with emotion, "From birth to death, each of us is a series of interwoven events, every moment that passes, every action we take, even a whisper full of love or a gesture of resentment."

These are all just tiny vibrations on the clockwork of life. After countless vibrations, one day, something triggers life's alarm clock. The alarm rings, and our lives come to an end.

Peter and Aunt May exchanged a glance after hearing Uncle Ben's seemingly philosophical remarks.

Uncle Ben's Philosophy Lessons are starting again.

"Your words are too dark, Ben."

Aunt May glared at Uncle Ben. "Peter's here, you need to talk about positive teenage topics."

Uncle Ben smiled at Peter and said, "That's not necessarily true. Peter has grown into a mature adult."

Peter pretended not to notice that Uncle Ben and Aunt May were targeting him.

He said to Uncle Ben, “That’s very insightful. The school will organize a visit to the biology exhibition this weekend, so Uncle Ben, you can go fishing with your friends.”

Peter had barely finished speaking when his phone rang.

He answered the phone, and Harry's excited voice came through.

"Peter, are you and Aunt May and Uncle Ben free tomorrow?"

"I don't know, but they probably won't have any plans. Do you need anything, Harry?"

"Of course, my father would like to invite you to visit."

Chapter 32 Vultures and Robots

Osborne Estate.

Peter, Aunt May, and Uncle Ben got out of the car and looked at the luxurious manor in front of them.

All three were dressed in evening wear, and Uncle Ben even wore his own black tuxedo.

"I thought you guys weren't interested in this kind of socializing, Uncle Ben."

Peter closed the car door and said to Uncle Ben and Aunt May.

In the morning, he told the two of them about Norman Osborne's invitation to visit him.

His original plan was not to associate with villains like Norman Osborn.

Although he told Uncle Ben and the other man, he expected that they wouldn't be interested in the invitation.

“You’ve made a friend, Peter, and it’s an invitation from your friend’s family. We can’t refuse.”

Aunt May said with a smile.

"This will not affect my relationship with Harry."

Peter took the wine that Uncle Ben had prepared from the car and said to Aunt May, "Aunt May, you have your own lifestyle and preferences, and I don't want you to change because of me."

Although he hadn't known Uncle Ben and Aunt May for very long, he wasn't a cold-blooded person.

He could certainly feel their deep affection and care, so he couldn't help but say a few more words.

"No, you're wrong, Peter."

Uncle Ben winked at him and said, "The reason we accepted the invitation is that I think Harry is a good kid."

As they talked, they entered the manor.

After receiving Peter's call, Harry came out to greet them and brought them inside.

Upon entering the living room, Norman Osborne, who was already waiting there, greeted him. After exchanging a few pleasantries, they began dinner.

“Harry told me that he and Peter are like brothers, and I’m so glad he has such a friend.”

Norman wore a faint smile, unlike his aggressive demeanor on television, which gave him an approachable air.

“Peter, if you need anything, just let me know. I’ll do my best to help you.”

"Cough cough."

Sitting next to Norman, Harry pretended to be unhappy, "Dad, I'm your own son."
