Gin doesn't want to work hard
Page 36
Despite all his careful planning, he overlooked this point.
Bourbon never gained Gin's trust!
That makes sense; it's no wonder Gin would trust someone he'd thrown his way.
I thought I could openly plant a spy next to Gin, but now it seems that it's not so simple.
Should we bring Bourbon back...?
Not only would keeping Bourbon by Gin's side yield no useful information, but it would also jeopardize Bourbon's safety.
Who knows, Gin might have a relapse one day and kill Bourbon.
To be honest, Rum acknowledges Bourbon's business acumen.
Is it worth trading a bourbon for intelligence that may never be obtained?
Rum pondered.
But he really had no way to deal with Gin.
With just one boss taking notice, Rum can't do anything to Gin.
Unfortunately, Gin has an extremely keen sense for traitors, and after several such incidents, he has come to tacitly accept the right to act first and report later.
Rum considered himself loyal to the organization, but Gin was an unpredictable person.
A madman kills without reason, and he didn't want to wake up one day to find Gin standing by his bedside, holding his favorite Beretta to his head.
He had considered planting someone next to Gin before.
But none of those people ever lived to see the next day.
In hindsight, it will be discovered that those people were either undercover agents or traitors.
This meant that Rum had no chance to confront Gin, and didn't even dare to admit that those were the people he had sent.
Even Rum has his pride.
It is absolutely unacceptable to admit to sending undercover agents/traitors to spy on one's own people.
Bourbon is the first person to have stayed by Gin's side for so long and still be alive and kicking.
Thinking of this, Rum's mind began to shift.
It's not that I really want to know Gin's mental state.
It's not going to be any better anyway.
Moreover, Rum has already decided to go on a business trip to Europe for a few days, and as for his return date, that will depend on the situation.
Anyway, he can handle the intelligence team's tasks online.
Most importantly, he wanted to prove that his judgment of people was still quite good.
At the very least, Bourbon is definitely not an undercover agent or a traitor!
With that in mind, Rum ultimately decided to keep Bourbon with Gin.
"I understand. You will continue to stay by Gin's side and try to gain his trust!"
Bourbon looked somewhat helpless upon hearing Rum's words.
Since Rum was his superior, he couldn't object and had no choice but to agree.
Gin...
After hanging up the phone, Amuro Tooru murmured the name silently.
Subconsciously, another figure flashed through his mind.
Amuro Tooru chuckled and shook his head.
"Mr. Kurosawa is much better than that person..."
Chapter 34 The Bomb on the Train
a few days later.
On a Shinkansen train.
Conan was sitting in his seat eating his lunchbox, Ran Mouri was sitting next to him, and Kogoro Mouri was shaving across from them.
They were on their way to Dongdu to attend a wedding.
Ran Mouri was complaining about Kogoro Mouri's behavior, while Conan swung his legs and silently ate his lunchbox.
Several elementary school students ran past, cheering, in the sidewalk.
Conan sighed and prepared to go to the restroom.
Just as he was about to step out of the carriage, he bumped into two men in black.
Conan's pupils contracted, and he stared blankly at the two of them until they sat down, at which point he finally came to his senses.
It's them!
Conan was absolutely certain.
Bourbon! I've found you!
This time, he's determined to get that drug and send them to prison!
Conan stared at one of them, his eyes blazing with fighting spirit.
As for the other person, although Conan didn't know his code name, he wouldn't mistake his face either!
He didn't even go to the restroom. Conan silently returned to his seat, observing the two out of the corner of his eye.
Finally, the two got up and walked outside.
Seeing this, Conan quickly and quietly followed behind them.
The two men in black went up to the restaurant on the second floor.
In order to avoid attracting their attention, Conan decided to take this opportunity to place a bugging device under their seats.
Back in the train car, Conan had just stuck the chewing gum under the seat when Ran Mouri discovered it.
Faced with her questioning, Conan stammered and didn't know how to explain.
Fortunately, Ayumi, who also noticed this, took the chewing gum off and put it into the ashtray that came with the seat armrest.
Conan breathed a sigh of relief, chuckled twice to answer Ran Mouri and Ayumi's questions, and returned to his seat to wait quietly.
A short while later, the two men in black returned.
Conan keenly noticed that their handbags had been replaced with suitcases.
Sure enough! They came here to make their deal!
Conan adjusted the buttons on his glasses, preparing to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Hey, Vodka, what's in that box?"
A voice came from behind, and Conan recognized it as belonging to Bourbon.
Vodka?
Conan understood; he realized that the other man in black's codename was Vodka.
"This was given to me by my older brother. I don't know what's inside."
big brother?
Conan frowned, thinking of the other man in black he hadn't seen all night.
He subconsciously touched the back of his head and felt a phantom pain.
Conan calmed himself down and continued eavesdropping.
"Aren't you going to ask?" Bourbon seemed somewhat speechless.
“My brother wouldn’t harm me,” Vodka said confidently.
The two stopped talking.
Conan was getting anxious; he hadn't gotten any clues yet!
Just as he was about to take the initiative, Vodka's phone rang.
Conan immediately sat back down.
"Hey, big brother!"
"Don't worry, everything has been taken care of."
"Yes, everything went smoothly."
"Yeah, I know."
Conan frowned; there were still no clues.
Just as Vodka was about to hang up the phone, he suddenly remembered what Bourbon had said earlier.
He asked with a hint of curiosity.
"Brother, what exactly is in that box?"
Upon hearing this, Conan silently sat up straight.
"What? A bomb?"
"Or is it a bomb that will explode upon any violent impact?"
Vodka was somewhat surprised.
Bomb?!
Conan was equally shocked and almost jumped up.
Amuro Tooru, standing next to Vodka, trembled and couldn't help but curse under his breath.
Gin is definitely a madman!
Neither of them knew anything about it.
