The next morning.

Lin Bei also began his first class as a Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts.

A group of young wizards from the third grade.

Nine o'clock in the morning is the start time of the first class at Hogwarts. The bells in the tower, under the influence of magic, ring out on time throughout the entire campus.

Lin Bei also pushed open the side door of the office the instant the bell rang, and walked down the marble steps to the right front of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.

The students below the podium were mostly dressed in red-collared school robes and more than half in yellow-collared school robes, clearly indicating that they were young wizards from Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

At this moment, they sat neatly in their seats, staring intently at the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

Both the young wizards of Gryphon and Badger were secretly wondering whether this professor, who was so outstanding in appearance and demeanor, would have teaching abilities as extraordinary as his appearance, or whether he was all show and no substance and as bad as the previous professors.

"Good morning, everyone." Lin Bei greeted the students simply.

He stood on the platform, glanced around at the young wizards below, and spotted two familiar faces: the Gryffindor and Weasley twins.

"Good morning, Professor!" the students below the stage said in unison.

Lin Bei nodded and continued, "After yesterday's banquet, you should all know that I am your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. You can call me Professor Lin."

"I hope you can make me happy in the time to come."

Oh no, I mean, I hope everyone has a great school year.

Lin Bei remained unfazed, almost blurting out the truth.

Immediately switching to the main topic, "Alright, without further ado, let's begin our first lesson of the semester. Today we'll be discussing..."

At this point, he glanced at his empty hands and the smooth lectern with only a pointer on it, and paused for a moment.

Lin Bei discovered that the textbook he had chosen as usual, "Black Magic: A Guide to Self-Defense," which he had chosen out of laziness and to save time, as well as the thick lesson plan that his former professor Nancy had painstakingly written, were all left on his office desk.

In other words, he came to teach the students empty-handed.

Although the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office was very close to the classroom, and although Lin Bei could make the textbooks fly over with a snap of his fingers, doing so would make the new professor seem unprofessional.

However, as the Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj, this minor situation is very easy to resolve.

Lin Bei smiled calmly and changed his words, saying, "The content is a spellcasting ability test!"

Looking at the bewildered faces of the young wizards, he revealed a malicious smile.

"As the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, I need to know your progress."

As you all know, this professor's position is not easy to hold, which has resulted in uneven progress in your defense against dark magic.

I need to get to know you.

“Now, all of you, take turns using your best spell on me,” Lin Bei said. “You’re all third-year students now, let me see what you’ve learned in these two years at Hogwarts!”

Before the students could react...

Lin Bei then walked straight to the front of the podium.

A magical shield, characteristic of Kamar-Taj, began to appear around him.

Lin Bei wasn't so arrogant as to think he could resist all spells, especially the spells in the Harry Potter world, which were quite disgusting.

It is not very lethal, but it is extremely insulting.

Lin Bei didn't want to have a prominent front tooth, or pus oozing from his head and sores on his feet.

“Let’s start with you, little Hufflepuff,” Lin Bei said, pointing to a young wizard in the first row with a yellow collar.

“Professor Lin Bei, isn’t this inappropriate?” The Hufflepuff boy hesitated.

“There’s no need to be timid in class.” Lin Bei smirked, asking provocatively, “If you don’t even have the courage to challenge a professor, how can you become an outstanding wizard?”

After hearing this, the boy nodded heavily. "I understand, Professor."

He gritted his teeth and raised his wand at Lin Bei.

"Collapse!"

Lin Bei smiled, letting the beam of light from the wand strike the magic shield.

If you look closely, you can see when the spell hits the shield.

Like water colliding with a rock, the magic attached to it, like a torrent, splashed on the shield and eventually dissipated into the air, causing him no harm whatsoever.

The young wizards in the classroom stared wide-eyed at the scene in disbelief.

"Your spellcasting was quite good for your age, with a clean and efficient execution." Ignoring the young wizards' astonishment, Lin Bei nodded in satisfaction and asked, "What's your name?"

“Diggory, Professor. My name is Cedric Diggory,” the Hufflepuff boy said.

“Good, not bad, Mr. Diggory,” Lin Bei praised. “Let me think about what reward a professor should give his student.”

Oh, and Hufflepuff gets five points!

Lin Bei was very satisfied with Cedric's spellcasting.

Cedric's courage in daring to attack the professor is commendable.

The fact that the first student tested possessed such a level of spellcasting ability shows that the young wizards who are able to study at Hogwarts also have a certain degree of self-learning ability.

At least they weren't harmed too badly by their former professor, Quirrell.

Next, Lin Bei began to test the spellcasting abilities of the other students with great anticipation, wanting to see what surprises they could bring him.

However, the students did indeed bring many "surprises".

With the exception of a few students, the learning progress of these students is a pleasant surprise.

The more tests he underwent, the darker his face became.

Lin Bei finally lost his temper after testing a Hufflepuff student who couldn't cast any spells.

"What did you do for two years at Hogwarts? Huh? All you learned was how to eat?!"

The young wizards were so frightened that they froze on the spot, too scared to move, and some of the more timid ones even shed tears.

"Forget it, I'm too lazy to waste any more time like this." Lin Bei impatiently pointed to all the young wizards below the stage. "The five of you with the most powerful spells have no homework, the rest of you will have double the amount of homework. I'll decide the speed!"

"Now, all of you, cast your most powerful dark magic spells at me, whether it be evil curses, poisonous spells, or curses!"

Upon hearing Lin Bei's words, Cedric stood up in alarm and exclaimed, "Professor, don't be impulsive!!"

"I wasn't impulsive, I was just too lazy to waste time," Lin Bei said indifferently. "The power of your spells is so weak that they can't even tickle me."

For a moment, the young wizards were stunned by his arrogant words.

In the classroom, only Fred and George, sitting together, exchanged glances.

The twins were overjoyed; no homework meant that!

Fred and George had a deep understanding of Lin Bei's strength.

"I'll count down to three, then you all cast your spells together," Lin Bei said coldly from the podium. "If you don't want your homework to double, then unleash your spells with all your might!"

“Three,” he read indifferently.

The young wizards were at a loss, most of them looking helplessly at their classmates in front, behind, left, and right, hoping to find a united front.

"two."

Inspired by Fred and George's "righteous" expressions, they gradually made up their minds and picked up their wands one by one, looking slightly flustered.

"one."

As Lin Bei finished speaking, the Weasley twins, as the leaders of the attack on the professor, were the first to use their signature moves.

"The flow of the river will not stop!"

Lin Bei's eyes twitched slightly, and he disdainfully slapped the vicious snot curse back at the two of them. Fred and George's identical noses immediately began to run profusely.

The twins looked at each other, sniffed in unison, and then started playfully wiping their snot on each other's clothes.

Seeing that someone was taking the lead, the remaining young wizards gradually mustered their courage. Also under pressure from doubled homework and solitary confinement, they began to cast various spells at Lin Bei.

Seeing this, Lin Bei neither dodged nor avoided, but instead chuckled and spread his hands, even closing his eyes, using his body to absorb all the spells.

The Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom fell silent.

"Professor? Professor?"

Seeing that Lin Bei did not move, Cedric, who had just hesitated to make a move, called out softly.

"Professor, are you okay?"

Seeing this, the other young wizards also began to panic. The classroom immediately became noisy.

The twins, who were rolling on the ground, wiped their snot, stopped playing around, and looked at Lin Bei on the podium.

"Professor Lin Bei, is something really wrong with you?" The two men's faces lit up with undisguised joy.

Hearing the commotion in the classroom, Lin Bei, who was analyzing the strength of the young wizards' spells, frowned.

"Quiet!" He opened his eyes and tapped the lectern heavily on the desk with his pointer.

"The calculation results are in. The spell I just received did not exceed Mr. Diggory's. Diggory does not need to do this assignment," Lin Bei said. "The next four people whose names I call out also do not need to do assignments. The assignments for everyone else will be doubled, especially the last five, which will be tripled."

Next, Lin Bei called out names one by one, and among those who had no homework were the brothers Fred and George.

The last five were trembling fellows who couldn't even unleash a single curse.

Lin Bei singled out the five people who hadn't dared to cast the spell at all, and made them practice on their own. They weren't allowed to leave get out of class until they cast the spell.

The others were tasked with reading the textbook on their own, and in the next class, they were to master the theoretical content of the first part of "Black Magic: A Guide to Self-Defense".

After assigning these tasks, Lin Bei strolled around the classroom with great pleasure, quickly glancing at the students' textbooks. This allowed him to quickly grasp the first part of the curriculum that the third-grade wizards would be learning, successfully managing to teach without bringing his own textbook.

When they were turned to stand next to the Weasley brothers, Fred timidly raised his hand.

"What's wrong?" Lin Bei asked curiously.

"Professor, you've been under so many spells, don't you really feel any discomfort?" he asked, a snotty nose still on his face.

George nodded in agreement.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." Lin Bei revealed a malicious smile. "Don't you know how to break curses? If so, I'll have to take back your privileges."

The twins lowered their heads simultaneously, their faces contorted in grief.

What is a curse-breaking spell? My professors never taught me that!
