Emiya Shirou doesn't want to work overtime
Author: This World Has No Existence
Project Description:
This is just a story about a partner in justice.
The story of Emiya Shirou.
At a certain moment, at a certain point in time, a door that should not have appeared appeared in front of a man named Emiya Shirou.
He's just a magician who's only half-baked at enhancement magic.
He was just an ordinary person who didn't even have the power to save others.
He was nothing more than a righteous partner who drowned in his own ideals.
Emiya Shirou——
Whom are you trying to save? Sakura, your drowning ideals, or yourself?

Chapter 1 Emiya's New Job
"Is this really the place?"
Holding the leaflet, Emiya stared in disbelief at the dark door in front of him, which looked as if he had just come out of a coal mine in Africa.
"The actual product is completely different from the picture."
Looking at the magnificent door on the flyer, Emiya hesitated whether he should actually knock and go in.
This door, exuding an eerie aura, was clearly telling Emiya that something was wrong with it.
Aside from the fact that the Japanese characters are the same, there is really nothing else that Emiya has in common.
The inscription above the door was also quite strange: "Fast Travel Entrance to Another World".
Although it was strange, Emiya didn't think about it too much.
With Japan's ACG culture so developed now, it doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with a coffee shop displaying a sign like this.
Many people are indeed drawn in by the intriguing name and might want to check it out. They might even stay for a drink or linger for a while.
That's right, Shirou Emiya is currently looking for a part-time job to earn some pocket money.
The coffee shop where he used to work is now on the verge of closing down due to poor business and has started laying off employees. Students like him, who can only start working after starting school, are being dismissed early.
Although Emiya is not short of money at the moment, he still has some of his wages from his previous part-time job and some pocket money from Fujiwara's grandfather.
But that's only for now. The part he's saved will eventually run out, and he'll have to keep working. It's better to find a stable job sooner rather than later, so he won't have to worry too much about his allowance.
That flyer was found on the ground when Emiya went out to buy groceries on his day off.
After all, most shops don't really need more staff, and Emiya didn't want to find a place too far away to work.
While he could ask Fujiwara for help, Emiya would feel extremely guilty, since they had already taken such good care of him, and he would feel embarrassed to ask for anything else.
Just when Emiya was at his wit's end, he saw a recruitment flyer for a newly opened coffee shop that was close to Emiya's residence, offered a reasonable salary, and seemed to have an excellent working environment.
Ultimately, it's best to take a look before making a judgment.
"Arno, is anyone home?"
Emiya hesitated at the door for a moment, then reached out and knocked.
There was no response from inside, as if it were a house that had not been lived in for a long time, completely silent.
"Then I pushed the door open and went in."
The lack of response filled Emiya with tension. He unconsciously swallowed and then gently pressed the doorknob.
"Squeak-"
Like in classic horror movies, this eerie wooden door always makes a decaying sound when pushed open, amplifying people's inner fear.
"So dark"
Having just come from a bright place, Emiya hadn't yet adjusted to the darkness. He could only take out his phone from his pocket and use the faint light from the screen to observe his surroundings.
He didn't realize that the light didn't follow him in.
"This is... a tatami mat?"
The room was completely empty; there was no furniture in sight, only a rather messy mattress and blankets on the tatami mat.
"Is this a hotel?"
Emiya crouched down and touched the mattress and the tatami mats on the floor.
There was no magical fluctuation, and the mattress was still warm, proving that the original owner had left not long ago.
"No, if it's a hotel, why would the door lead directly to the guest's room? Shouldn't the guest first be at the front desk or the owner's place?"
Feeling something was off, Emiya quickly turned around and looked back at the place he had just entered.
The dark wooden door that was originally filled with an eerie atmosphere has completely disappeared, leaving only an extremely simple wall.
"A magician?"
Emiya felt a surge of tension again. In his mind, only a magician could possess such abilities.
He had never met any magicians other than his father in all these years, and he thought he might never encounter anything related to magicians in his lifetime.
After all, according to Kiritsugu, the whereabouts of magicians and what happens in the magic world are kept very secret from the outside world, and Emiya was originally a magician who came to the profession later in life and had no connection with the Magicians' Association. Therefore, he was also included in the category of ordinary people.
Therefore, Emiya felt that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, he would likely be able to live like an ordinary person and would be unable to access the world of magicians.
But he did not expect the incident to happen so suddenly.
"There's no fluctuation of magical energy. Are all the magicians outside this powerful?"
Emiya touched the spot where the door had appeared, but still couldn't detect any magical fluctuations.
"We can only take it one step at a time. Hopefully, the magician was just accidentally injured."
Emiya knew his magic was only half-baked and he couldn't find any way to break it, so he could only sigh while holding his phone.
The phone also had no signal.
Emiya had already gotten used to the darkness in the room and could see most things clearly, so he put his phone away.
In case something happens, it's inconvenient to have a phone with you.
"If it's a hotel, the door on the right should be the balcony."
Emiya gently pushed open the door on his right, and silvery moonlight instantly filled the entire room, illuminating everything clearly.
"night?"
Emiya was a little confused. This magician was too amazing. He had arrived in the early morning, when the sun had just risen in the east, but now it was already late at night here.
too weird!
Looking at the shimmering river in front of him and the dense forest in the distance, Emiya felt completely numb.
"boom!"
The loud impact brought Emiya back to his senses.
"The sound seems to be coming from downstairs."
After making his decision, Emiya turned and ran downstairs. If he could meet the magician who had set up this place, he might be able to leave.
That's what Emiya thought.
"What's that smell?!"
Just as Shirou was excitedly running downstairs, a strong smell of blood that seemed to reach the heavens made him stop in his tracks, and his expression became unusually cautious.
"Why is there such a strong smell of blood!"
Emiya quietly slowed his footsteps and made a slow approach to the first floor.
"Since you've already decided to come down, why are you walking so slowly!"
An eerie voice came from behind Emiya.
Chapter Two: Moments of Crisis
Emiya jolted, lost his footing, and fell straight down the stairs.
"Hehehe, what an interesting lad! He looks young, his meat must be incredibly delicious! Hehehehe."
Emiya, who had collapsed on the first floor, quickly got up and looked towards the stairwell.
The silvery moonlight gradually illuminated its entire form, making its already pale skin appear even more stark. Its deathly white face bore a pair of horns, a feature that distinguished it from humans.
"Tick-tock, tick-tock!"
The sound of dripping water came from his right side, where he held a human head in his hand, its eyes filled with despair and terror.
His hands clenched tightly, his breath caught in his throat, and he retreated backward.
The splashing sound of water splashing echoed at Emiya's feet, and the strong smell of blood constantly stimulated his nerves.
He already knew what the liquid he was standing on was, but he dared not look down, afraid that he would be unable to move due to fear.
"You must be the last survivor here. You've been hiding pretty well. I didn't detect any living souls here at all. Now that we have plenty of time, I'll play with you for a bit, hehehe!"
Before he could finish speaking, the figure on the steps vanished instantly, and Emiya could only feel a strong gust of wind rushing towards his location.
puff!
