The turtledoves were preparing their dinner.
"I slept for so long?" Yefrit rubbed her head, which hurt a little, clearly from sleeping for too long.
“Young man, being able to sleep is a blessing,” Duke Engilly said with a smile.
Yefried sat up and looked at the old nobleman walking towards them in the distance.
He stood up and bowed to the other person at the same time.
Duke Engelly said, "Mr. Yefrit is a smart man, so I won't beat around the bush."
"His Majesty sent me to invite you."
Yefried smiled slightly.
Seeing this, Duke Engilly breathed a sigh of relief.
The capital city—Arsha.
Gray slightly adjusted his hat.
After all, he's a wanted criminal, so he needs to keep a low profile.
So, unusually, I was dressed very warmly.
He was wearing a hat that Jubia had bought for him, and a scarf that covered the lower half of his face, leaving only his eyes showing.
Juvia next to him was also dressed in the same outfit; judging from the style, they were even wearing matching couple outfits.
“According to the information, Yefried just arrived in the city tonight, but now it’s not appropriate for us to go see him,” Gray said.
Yevlit is currently receiving a lot of attention.
The newspapers were full of news about him.
It is said that Duke Engilly personally invited him to the capital, where he stayed at the famous Blue Ear Hotel.
Gray had uncovered some bad news and wanted to inform Yefrit, but given his status as a wanted criminal, it wasn't appropriate for him to go directly to Yefrit.
"I can only wait until tonight to find another opportunity to see him," Gray said.
Juvia listened silently, always putting Gray first.
At night.
Grey did not see Yevlit.
He and Juvia carefully bypassed the security and entered the large room where Yefrit was staying.
“Grey?” Mirajane looked at Grey, who had climbed in through the window, with a puzzled expression.
Gray didn't rush to reply; instead, he turned around, grabbed Juvia's small hand, and lifted her up.
“Why did you come? And in this way?” Mirajane laughed.
“Miss Mirajane, do you know them?” Sidrina breathed a sigh of relief.
She didn't know Gray, Natsu, and the others. After all, Gray and the others actually had photos on wanted posters, so Yefrit naturally wouldn't let her meet the members of Fairy Tail.
When Sidrina saw someone climb over the wall into the house, she was a little nervous, worried that bad guys might have come.
But when Mirajane greeted her, she lowered her guard and looked at the two mysteriously dressed people with some confusion.
“Yes, they are our family,” Mirajane said.
The word "family" piqued Sidrina's curiosity.
Such intimate terms of address indicate that these two people also have a very good relationship with Yefrit.
“Miraja, where’s Yefrit?” Gray asked, getting straight to the point.
“I’ve gone to the palace for a banquet,” Mirajane said.
"Oh no!" Gray's expression changed instantly.
"What's wrong?" Mirajane frowned upon seeing this.
Gray cut to the chase: "Yefrit might be in danger. The worshipped demon is in the palace, and I've just discovered that it has the ability to manipulate people's minds."
"What?!" The turtledove, who had been leisurely wiping its knife, suddenly stood up.
Wendy and Charlotte also looked very serious.
“Even so…” Sidrina was a beat slow to react, mainly because she had never considered the royal palace as an enemy.
They are different from the members of Fairy Tail in terms of their positions.
But when she realized everyone was tense, and upon reflection, her expression changed.
Geniuses are hard to find.
For hundreds of years, no one has been able to add a new magic system, especially one that can be mass-produced.
Even researchers at the research institute who copied it haven't been able to figure it out yet.
Yefrit has even upgraded her magic wand, making it even stronger, perhaps even as strong as a top-tier mage!
He used to be very proud; he couldn't be forced into anything, and people had to give him a lot of face.
No one wants to lose such a genius; if there were a way to control his mind...
That's most likely.
“I want to enter the palace!” Sidrina said immediately.
Grey glanced at Sidrina, then at Mirajane, wondering why they had brought this outsider along.
Mirajane took a deep breath, calmed down, and said, "Don't rush, Yefrit isn't that easy to fall for."
She thought for a moment and said, "Wendy isn't suitable for infiltration. You have to stay here and be prepared for any unexpected situations."
She looked at Sidrina and said, "Miss Sidrina, if you can find an excuse to enter the palace, then you can go in openly. It would be best if you could see Yefrit."
"Then, Gray, Juvia, and Izayoi, I'll have to trouble you to sneak in with me."
Wendy's magic is really hard to infiltrate.
Moreover, not everyone can walk into the trap; someone has to stay outside and act according to the situation.
Of course, this is the worst case scenario.
The best outcome would be if everyone had worried unnecessarily and Sidrina found Yefrit. That would be ideal. If Yefrit is on guard, there's unlikely to be any problems; the only fear is that she might be ambushed.
Mirajane and his team infiltrated the area precisely to prepare for this worst-case scenario.
“Miss Mirajane,” Wendy said, “what should we do?”
“If we all come back, then that’s fine,” Mirajane said. “If we don’t come back, or if a battle breaks out, you leave immediately and contact everyone to come and rescue us.”
“Okay.” Wendy nodded.
“Let’s go!” Mirajane said.
The troops divided into two groups.
In fact, Sidrina, as the mayor's daughter, was not even qualified to attend such a banquet.
However, she was able to enter the banquet hall because she proclaimed herself Yefried's fiancée, and given the existing rumors, she was able to do so.
And the other side.
Mirajane, along with Gray, Juvia, and Turtledove, secretly infiltrated the palace.
Sidrina's side.
"Where is Mr. Yefried?" She had just entered the banquet hall when she searched anxiously, but she couldn't find Yefried anywhere!
She panicked and hurriedly asked the two men, only to learn that Yefrit had been summoned away by the king.
"Miss Mirajane, you must make it in time!" Sidrina prayed softly.
Gray provided information from the investigation that the demon was enshrined in the underground palace.
Mirajane and the others had just sneaked to the entrance, seeing the heavy security, and were still considering whether to force their way in, when they saw the basement door open.
The king and the prince came out first.
Following behind was Yefried, who was holding the hand of a beautiful woman and had a big smile on his face.
Mirajane and the others listened attentively.
The king said, “Yeflit, you have made a wise decision. Therefore, my most beloved daughter, Anita, will be betrothed to you.”
Yefried said happily, "It is my honor."
“It is my honor,” Anita said happily, “to be able to marry such a great man as you.”
Gray's expression changed, and he looked at Mirajane.
Mirajane remained silent.
"Now it's your time, young people," the king said with a smile, before leaving with the prince.
Anita waved her hand, and the guards quickly turned their backs.
“Mr. Yefrit,” Anita’s eyes were practically sparkling with hearts. She placed her arms on Yefrit’s shoulders behind him, her hands clasped together, fingers intertwined.
“Anita,” Yefrit called out emotionally.
The two were getting closer and closer.
"Moonless Flow—"
"Garuda Flame!"
The dove could no longer bear it and slashed out with its sword, wishing it could shred this woman of unknown origin to pieces!
'Whoosh'
Sudden attack.
No one reacted.
But Yevlit realized what was happening and waved his hand.
‘Wow’
The gate behind him was broken open, and several tentacles stretched out, blocking his way.
