“Asa,” Jefried looked at Asa and said, “you have always lacked the ability to innovate. This is not a limitation I impose on you, but a limitation you impose on yourself.”

"You were created by a madman with a bottom line."

Studying demons is an extremely dangerous activity; calling it madness wouldn't be an exaggeration.

Yefrit didn't think she had a legitimate reason or justification to study demons—after all, historically, those who did never end up well.

He smiled and said, "A mirror—it can reflect everything, even the hideous expressions of humans, even the scene of bloodshed."

"Everything in reality can be reflected in the world of the mirror, even darkness and chaos."

“Asa,” Jefried said earnestly, “I have high hopes for you.”

"Yes, Master." Asa didn't really understand.

He is smart enough, but not smart enough.

He acquires human thoughts and memories to grow himself. In order to maintain his identity, he must process a large amount of information in a standardized and uniform manner, which inevitably leads to a God's-eye view.

Just like watching TV, he watched a lot and knew a lot, but he didn't really participate and therefore didn't get any training.

But life isn't like changing a channel; you can't just skip over it whenever you want.

He had to engage with the world.

To put it simply, he has to be the shield; when trouble comes, he has to die first, whether he likes it or not.

This is why Yevlith created him.

Asa didn't understand these things, but he did.

If he truly disappoints his master, the master can easily create another Asa to replace him—it's effortless and costless.

Chapter 162, Gajeel: I will never lose a battle to protect my comrades!

Monsters and demons quickly took over Sirius Island.

Each one carries a mirror, allowing Asa to monitor the entire situation and travel between the two worlds.

Yefrit said, "Project the battlefield for me."

"Yes, Master."

Asa projected the battlefield model.

Yefried raised her hand, pressed her thumb against her index finger, and made a 'click' sound.

He looked thoughtful.

"No rush to show yourself."

He said, then took out a card, threw it forward, and a humanoid demon appeared.

This was one of the assets he plundered from the Roya organization, as were those demons, all of which he controlled and packaged after using deceptive magic.

The deception magic was activated. Although he saw no change whatsoever, the demon appeared to others as him.

The magic of deception passes through a mirror, enters the mirror world, and then emerges from the mirror, influencing its surroundings.

This is the island-wide, seamless magical envelope achieved through the Mirror World—although it consumes a lot of magic power. However, Yefrit has two demons, Anza and Tomon, as backup hidden energy sources, and the Deception Magic itself doesn't consume much magic power, so there's no need to worry about the duration.

“Come on, Hades,” Yefrit said, looking into the distance. “If you dare to come ashore, you will be captured by me.”

As for Zeref, Yefrit had already sensed him through the Mirror World, but he didn't make contact with him; instead, he simply avoided him.

The map in front of you shows the friendly and enemy sides.

The friendly side is green, the enemy side is red, and Zeref is black.

He will monitor the overall situation to ensure that his companions can defeat the enemy and gain combat experience, but without any deaths.

The black dot hasn't moved on the map, so he can't control Zeref; he should just go around him.

"Levy."

He looked at a spot on the map.

Two green dots encountered two red dots.

Two enemies.

An orc in armor, and a chicken-like monster.

"Who are you people?" Gajeel shielded Levy behind him, warily eyeing the two enemies.

This is Tenrou Island, the sacred ground of the Fairy Tail guild. Two strangers have come up here and are trying to attack them.

Gajeel did not believe this was a spur-of-the-moment idea from two idle dark mages.

"Their crests," Levy, with her extensive knowledge, said, looking at the two enemy crests. "They're from the Dark Guild, Heart of the Demon. Gajeel, we might be being targeted by their guild."

“It seems that’s true,” Gajeel said. “Their strength is unknown; you must be careful.”

“You too,” Levy said.

Looking at the two, Levy said, "This is the sacred ground of Fairy Tail, the Heart of the Devil. You have come to the island without our guild's permission. As a guild member, I now order you to leave immediately, or we will forcibly expel you!"

“Kid, you can’t scare us. This is a war, a war you can’t stop,” the chicken spirit said.

"So, since our guild defeated Oración Seis, a dark guild that is also allied with you in Balam, is your Devil's Heart planning to attack us to avenge them?" Levy asked analytically.

"Heh, those six demons are trash, what right do they have to be ours to avenge them?" Chicken Monster said. "Kid, enough nonsense. Today, it's a matter of life and death between us. You will die by our hands."

"I will mercifully tell you my name."

The chicken spirit said, "I am Kavaz, the one who will take your heads."

Another enemy said, "I am Yumaz, and I am best at decapitation."

"Fairy Tail, Gajeel."

"Fairy Tail, Levy".

'boom'

The battle suddenly broke out.

These two are very strong, especially when they work together, making them extremely difficult to deal with.

Kavaz can spit out eggs with powerful attack capabilities, and Yumaz is not only a master swordsman but also capable of using word magic.

“Levy, stay behind me and help me,” Gajeel said.

“Okay!” Levy nodded.

‘Boom boom boom’

Several battles.

Gajeel and Levy are at a disadvantage.

Gajeel protected Levy, watching as his arm, now turned into a block of iron, developed cracks.

These attacks are too powerful; if they hit Levy, she will be injured.

"Damn, those two guys are really strong."

Gajeel gritted his teeth and persevered.

"I'm sorry, Gajeel, I've let you down," Levy said remorsefully.

"Levy," Gajeel said solemnly, "I will protect you even if it means my death!"

"You," Levy stared wide-eyed.

“What an enviable couple,” Kavaz said, before spitting out a huge amount of eggs.

"But I hate guys like you the most; I'd love to tear them to pieces!"

"Me too!" Yumaz roared. "Couples, go to hell!"

He swung his sword and slashed.

"Iron Dragon's Roar!"

Gajeel sprayed away the sky full of eggs, but then had to use his arm to block Yumaz's long sword.

‘Kacha’

The iron arm was slashed open with huge gashes.

"Flame!" Levy quickly wrote the fire symbol, and a row of flames forced Yumaz back.

"A barrage of eggs!" Kavaz sprayed out countless eggs.

"Guards!" "Storm!" "Stone!" "Bullets!"

Levy wrote quickly; her magic wasn't powerful enough, but it was versatile and highly functional.

Gajiru wasn't idle either.

"Iron dragon stick!"

He punched Kavaz.

'when'

But Yumaz blocked it.

"Guan!"

Yumaz took a step back and thrust out his long sword, shattering Gajeel's iron fist!

Gajeel quickly withdrew his hand, and Yumazu closed in: "Slash!"

"Ice and snow!" "Sword!"

Levy first summoned ice and snow to obscure the enemy's vision, then launched her longsword.

"Too weak, too weak!" Yumaz swung his longsword as he rapidly approached the two: "Slash! Slash! Slash!"

"Watch out!" Gajeel immediately raised his arms to defend himself.

'poof'

Despite his iron body, he was actually slashed by the opponent, and blood gushed from the wound on his chest!
