"woo"
Miko crouched down, looked at Yefrit's legs, and said, "Don't you regret letting MISS.1 go?"
"You think I'm lacking in women?"
"We don't lack it, but when do you plan to use it?"
"What kind of vulgar language is that?" Yefrit tapped her on the head. "I'm a traditional person. I only use it at the right time, not just casually!"
"So when is that correct?"
"After getting married."
"Who will you marry?"
"."
"Damn it." Miko slapped her forehead. "I'll never see how to use this thing in my life."
"You make it sound like I'm destined to be alone forever!" Yefrit was speechless.
"Yeflit's personality is too arrogant; it will be very difficult for her to get married."
"It's not difficult at all." Yefrit was speechless. How could Miko have no confidence in herself at all?
"Let's talk."
He suddenly remembered something and said, "Why are you suddenly so fixated on this?"
"Because I've heard some people questioning this, they feel they can't wait until that day... I'm also very curious."
"No doubt about it, we'll definitely get our turn," Yefrit said. "We'll finally have a place to use our skills!"
"Then I'm relieved," Miko said. "I'm here."
"Shut up." Yefrit played a card, silencing Miko.
"Waaah." Miko looked aggrieved, but she didn't tear the card apart.
early morning.
Everyone gathered in the guild.
"What happened?" Lucy asked Cana beside her, puzzled.
"It's time," Kana said, her expression complicated.
"what?"
"Cough cough."
Before Lucy could ask another question, she heard a cough coming from the stage.
It was the president's voice.
Everyone quieted down.
Lucy looked ahead; the mystery was about to be revealed.
"It's that time of year again," Makarov remarked with a touch of melancholy.
"President, please announce it quickly!"
"I can't wait!"
"I'll definitely be there this year!"
"Come on, you did a great job last time? It must have been Natsu and Gray who did it!"
"How can it be repaired?"
The veteran members started discussing it, clearly knowing what was about to happen.
The new members, however, looked puzzled.
“According to Fairy Tail’s rules—” Makarov said with a serious expression, “the list of participants for the S-Class Mage selection is now being released.”
"Huh?!?" Lucy exclaimed in shock.
"Here it comes!" Natsu cheered. This time it was definitely his turn. Natsu had longed to become an S-class mage for a long time!
Chapter 153, Elfman: My Partner Lisanna! Abba Greene:
Makarov said solemnly, "Those who performed outstandingly in the last selection competition will qualify for this S-class mage assessment."
Last time, when Laxus wanted to start a civil war, Yefrit made up an excuse, saying that she was selecting members to participate in the S-class mage examination.
Makarov agreed.
That incident will indeed be considered as a scoring factor.
And now, the list has finally been released.
Everyone is looking forward to it.
The same goes for Makarov—the children are growing up, full of energy, and soon the guild will have another S-class mage—Fairy Tail's S-class mages are already famous, with an average strength equivalent to the lower ranks of the Wizarding Ten, which is a bit frightening. The Magic Council is unwilling to give Fairy Tail a second Wizarding Ten spot, but that can't stop them from selecting a sixth S-class mage.
Yefrit and Laxus are both right. Blindly showing kindness and forbearance will only make you look down on and lead to things like what happened to Spectre.
Although Laxus is radical, there are some things that do need to be said by someone like him.
The stronger the guild, the safer the members with weaker skills will be when they go out to carry out missions.
Because of Fairy Tail's previous transnational attack on the Roya organization, guild members, even dark mages, avoid them when going out on missions.
The arrest of just one person triggered the entire guild to mobilize, dismantle an organization, and destroy a city.
With their small arms and legs, how could they possibly withstand it?
"Cough cough."
Makarov stated, "There are seven candidates this year—"
"Natsu!"
Natsu, who was excited just moments before, now grinned without showing any teeth, his face full of fighting spirit.
"Hey Natsu, congratulations!" Happy shouted.
"Natsu, do your best!" Lucy patted him on the shoulder encouragingly.
"Gray!"
"Hmph." Gray smiled confidently.
"As expected of Lord Gray!" Juvia exclaimed happily.
"Elfman!"
"A real man!!!" Elfman was extremely excited and immediately raised his fist.
“Congratulations, Elfman,” Abba Grin said with a smile.
"Kana!"
"Huh? Kana? Congratulations, Kana," Lucy said quickly.
"Hmm," Kana's expression wasn't very happy.
"Fried!"
"Hmph, I will become an S-class and stand beside Laxus!" Fried was full of confidence, but when he turned to look at Laxus on the second floor, he looked like a "discarded puppy," and said bitterly, "Laxus needs me!"
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Biguslo, standing next to him, was speechless.
The second floor.
"I wonder who will become an S-class this time, Laxus, what do you think?" Lisanna sat on the stool, eating a piece of fruit in her hand, and swinging her little feet freely.
The orange-yellow juice flowed down Lisanna's arm, threatening to drip onto her dress.
Laxus had been watching out of the corner of his eye. When he saw this, his brow twitched. Finally, just as a drop of juice was about to fall onto Lisanna's skirt, he reached out, holding a tissue, and wiped the juice away along Lisanna's arm.
"Thank you." Lisanna smiled brightly.
"Hmph." Laxus snorted and said, "Natsu, that guy is growing up very fast."
“But if Gray and Natsu face off, it’s hard to say.” Lisanna slapped her forehead: “I really don’t have high hopes for Elfman.”
Laxus did not answer.
Huffing and puffing
On the floor next to him, Speed was doing sit-ups.
He was wearing training gear—a magical bracelet for gaining weight, made by Yefrit.
Even though he was covered in sweat and his head was spinning, he kept going, muttering to himself, "I have to become stronger so I can help Laxus!"
Makarov continued, "Levy!"
"Huh? I'm here?" Levy was surprised.
"Congratulations, Levy!" Her two teammates were happy for her.
"Mester!"
Upon hearing the name, Yefrit looked at the man—he had several scars on his face, a crew cut, and didn't look particularly striking.
Magic that affects memory?
He was certainly unaffected, but he didn't say it aloud.
"These seven are the candidates!" Makarov announced. "This assessment will be held on our sacred ground—Sirius Island!"
"Only one of you will emerge victorious and become an S-class mage!"
"Keep trying, kids!"
"Oh—" Everyone raised their hands and shouted.
Makarov said, "This time, you're allowed to find a partner, but it can't be an S-class mage, and neither can Yefrit."
"The assessment is in a week, so get ready."
"Yes!"
