"Did you save me? Can I know who you are?" Arthur tentatively inquired about the identity of the man in front of him.

Arthur was rescued by the Golden Dream after the shipwreck, which is already a pretty good start.

At the very least, he wasn't salvaged by some pirate general like the Blood Admiral or the Hell Admiral.

If he had encountered these kinds of people, he might as well have just drowned in the sea.

As for Danitz's claim that he once slept on a bed made of gold coins, Arthur believed it too.
