Dumbledore must have realized that he was somewhat resistant to the Knight Bus, so he teleported back.

After dropping Jerry off at the orphanage, he left.

night.

Jerry returned to his room, a single room that his nanny had specially changed for him, since Jerry was now a wizard.

Inside the room, on the table were "A History of Modern Magic" and "Hogwarts: A History of the School," which Jerry had just bought from Diagon Alley that day. Jerry quickly flipped through them but didn't find any useful information. He only remembered the general plot of Harry Potter.

Before his time travel, Jerry had only seen the movie, back when he was a child, more than a decade ago, and his memory was long gone. Reality is reality, and movies are movies, plus he now has this butterfly wing of his own; the original plot can only be used as a reference.

Jerry felt a headache coming on from thinking about all this. Oh well, he was tired, he didn't want to think about it anymore, he was going to sleep!

"quack……"

The next morning, Jerry was awakened by a series of shouts.

Jerry sat up in bed and saw a birdcage on his desk with a bird he didn't recognize inside.

Jerry quickly got up and checked the doors and windows, but found no signs of vandalism.

He went to the table, looked at the birdcage, and saw a note with his name on it. It was a gift for him.

When the birdcage was opened, a black bird about the size of a messenger owl jumped out. It wasn't afraid of people at all and flew straight to Jerry's shoulder.

Jerry looked at the silly bird. Its body was covered with smooth, dark black feathers, and its beak was dark gray and looked sharp.

The bird has a particularly large head and large eyes, but its gaze... well, it has a kind of innocent stupidity, like a husky among birds.

Jerry found a key in the bird's claw. The head of the key was a complex pattern composed of multiple winding lines, while the handle was a slender cylinder with exquisite patterns engraved on its surface.

After taking the key and playing with it for a while, Jerry couldn't remember what kind of key it was. He decided to go to the school to ask Harry if it was the Gringotts Vault key.

The bird and the key clearly weren't from the Muggle world, and Jerry couldn't understand why anyone in the wizarding world would give him these things. But Jerry wasn't worried; the other party would definitely come looking for him later.

After breakfast, Jerry returned to the room and fed Tom some fruit. "Tom" was the name Jerry had given his bird.

Jerry decided to start reading early and picked up "Standard Spells, Beginner" to begin flipping through it.

"Fluorescent Flash~" Jerry raised his wand and tapped it lightly, and a bright light emanated from the tip of the wand.

He succeeded. It was much simpler than he had imagined. His talent for magic was indeed very high. Now he was inexplicably looking forward to the dark magic at 11 o'clock.

One month later, on August 30th, at night.

For a whole month, except for eating and going to the toilet, Jerry hardly left his room, frantically studying magic theory and grinding spells.

Most spells are easy for Jerry to learn, and he succeeds on his first try. However, it is more difficult to continue to improve. Even though Jerry is exceptionally talented in spells, he has only reached level 2 in the Illumination and Restoration spells.

The Illumination Charm is brighter and illuminates a wider area compared to level 1. The Repair Charm is similar, with a better repair effect than level 1. However, neither of these charms can be cast silently, probably because the level is still not high enough and more grinding is needed.

Aside from the curse, the biggest gain is the number of gacha pulls I've accumulated over a month.

Jerry ruffled his hair with his hands: "My turn, draw a card!"

For a moment, flowers bloomed and fireworks burst on the virtual screen, and there was even a card-drawing animation. But soon, the exciting scene disappeared.

Jerry's vision went black; ten consecutive pulls and all he got was a "skin"!!!

After taking a deep breath, Jerry decided to do another ten-pull, since the first ten pulls might have been used as "fodder" for other characters.

I did a full twenty draws, and apart from the Wizard card which was somewhat useful, everything else was garbage.

Jerry felt his blood pressure rising. He glanced at the system panel; one last shot left. Time to fire!

A single pull brought a miracle!

Chapter 6 Hogwarts Express

A golden light flashed, and Jerry got a gold medal. The corners of his mouth turned up slightly. He was indeed the luckiest guy.

"Free Talent Points: +1"

Jerry considered it for a while. He couldn't add any more points to his Dark Arts talent. He wanted to add points to Potions and Charms, and Transfiguration was also an option. Now Jerry was having some trouble making a decision. After thinking about it, he finally decided to wait and leave them for a few days at Hogwarts. He would add whichever one he needed then.

As for divination, it was no longer within his consideration. Adding just a little bit to it wouldn't be as effective as the previous methods, and Jerry always felt that divination was unreliable.

The next morning, after getting up and getting ready, Jerry refused his nanny's offer to see him off and dragged his suitcase to King's Cross Station in London by himself.

"Is it this wall?" Jerry stood between Platform 9 and Platform 10, unsure. He decided to wait and see if any wizarding families came in or out.

"Hurry up, Fred."

Not far away, six or seven people walked towards Jerry's direction. They all had red hair and seemed to be a family. The one leading them was a plump woman, holding a little girl's hand.

Jerry recognized them; they must be the Weasleys. The black-haired man with round-framed glasses next to him was definitely the famous Harry Potter.

"Hello, madam."

Jerry greeted them.

"Hello, kid. Are you also a freshman this year?" someone asked, looking at Jerry's attire and the unfamiliar bird he was carrying.

"Yes, madam, I can't find platform 9."

"Don't worry, kid, this is the wall. Fred, you go in first."

Fred pushed the luggage cart toward the wall and disappeared in a flash.

"Thank you, madam. I understand. Thank you so much."

"What polite and well-behaved children. This is Ron, and this is Harry. They are both freshmen this year. You might even be assigned to the same house."

"Hello, Ron and Harry."

After greeting them, Jerry went ahead and arrived at platform 9.

A steam train was parked by the platform, with the Hogwarts Express 5972 written on it.

After Jerry cast a levitation spell on his luggage, he dragged it onto the train and found a window seat in an empty carriage.

It would take some time to get to Hogwarts, and Jerry felt he couldn't waste any time and had to make the most of it, so he took out a book called "Defense Against the Dark Arts" and started flipping through it.

"Excuse me, is this seat taken? May I sit here?"

Just as Jerry was immersed in the world of magic, a gentle voice rang in his ear.

The speaker was a little girl with a head of fluffy, thick brown hair.

"Of course, I'm the only one in this carriage, so please find a seat wherever you like."

"Thank you, my name is Hermione Granger, and I'm a freshman this year." After thanking him, Hermione sat down opposite Jerry.

“Jerry Green, also a freshman this year,” Jerry introduced himself with a smile.

"You were just looking at this year's Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook, weren't you? Are you from a wizarding family?"
