Chapter 63 Norwegian Ridgeback
In the library, Jerry was flipping through "Advanced Spells Theory," while Hermione continued her own study plan.
Unlike before, Harry, Ron, and Neville were also doing their homework in the library.
The professors seem to share Hermione's idea: to help them pass their final exams, they've recently assigned a ton of homework.
Harry and his friends weren't too nervous at first, after all, it was just a bit more homework. So they continued playing music and dancing!
However, when they saw Hermione reading and reciting the twelve uses of dragon blood while eating, they found that they had no interest in playing anything and even felt anxious and uneasy.
Unfortunately, I had no choice but to follow suit!
"There are just too many potions! I feel like I'll never be able to remember them all!" One afternoon, Ron finally had enough. He threw his quill pen heavily on the ground and stared blankly at the pleasant weather outside the library window.
The sky was a clear, deep blue, as profound as the forget-me-not flower, and the air was filled with the scent of summer approaching.
Harry, too, was staring blankly through the thousands of magical herbs and mushrooms, searching for "White Licorice," when he suddenly heard Ron exclaim, "Hagrid! What are you doing in the library?"
Hagrid approached slowly, as if he were hiding something.
"Just looking around." Hagrid's voice was somewhat evasive, which aroused everyone's curiosity.
Looking at the group, Hagrid suddenly became wary. "What are you doing here? Are you still looking for Nicolas Flamel?"
“Oh, we already knew who Nicolas Flamel was!” Ron said with a hint of smugness. “We also knew that Cerberus was guarding the Philosopher’s Stone, didn’t we?”
"Shh!" Hagrid glanced around warily to make sure no one had heard their conversation, then lowered his voice and said, "Don't shout. What are you trying to do?"
“Well, Hagrid, we do have a few questions for you,” Harry said, “about the Philosopher’s Stone. Who designed those mechanisms? Professor Dumbledore?”
Hagrid hissed again, interrupting their conversation. "Listen, come to my cabin later. Remember, don't talk nonsense here. These are things you students shouldn't know."
After Hagrid finished speaking, he took the books he had just found in the library and turned to leave.
Unlike the others, Jerry already knew Hagrid was going to keep a dragon, so he didn't show much surprise or curiosity. Harry and his friends, on the other hand, were completely different; they were all very curious that Hagrid would come to the library to borrow books.
So after Hagrid left, Harry, Harry, and Hagrid, who were getting a little impatient in the library, immediately started packing up their homework and couldn't wait to head to Hagrid's hut!
"Jerry, shall we go with Harry and the others to Hagrid's cabin?"
"Do you want to go? If Hermione is interested, I can go with you!"
Hermione shook her head and said, "Forget it! I still have so many courses to review! I'll just ask Harry and the others when they get back!"
An hour later, Harry and the others returned excitedly, saying, "Jerry, Hermione, you two will never guess! Hagrid is incubating a dragon egg, and it's a Norwegian Spinosaurus!"
Just as the group was discussing amongst themselves, Mrs. Pince's stern gaze swept over them, so the three of them had no choice but to fall silent. Jerry and Hermione followed the three to a corner of the garden outside the school castle, where they listened to the group's excited recounting of what had just happened at Hagrid's hut.
"Hagrid means that no one except Dumbledore and himself knows how to get through Cerberus?"
Harry nodded after hearing Hermione's words, then frowned and said, "But the other challenges that protect the Philosopher's Stone were designed by the professors, and Snape was involved in the design!"
“At least Snape doesn’t know how to get past Cerberus right now, does he?” Ron reassured her. “As long as Cerberus holds out until the end of the term, the Philosopher’s Stone will be safe!”
……
A few days later, in the morning, while everyone was having breakfast in the hall, Harry's owl Hedwig suddenly brought him a note.
The note only had one sentence written on it: It's about to hatch!
Everyone recognized the letter as coming from Hagrid, knowing that the dragon egg was about to hatch, and they were all quite excited.
Harry and Ron didn't even want to attend Herbology class; they just wanted to get to Hagrid's hut right now.
But after Harry saw Malfoy, who had stopped to eavesdrop on their conversation, he gave up the idea of skipping class.
The school bell had barely rung when everyone eagerly dropped their shovels and rushed across the lawn toward the edge of the Forbidden Forest. Hagrid was already there waiting for them.
Jerry is the same, but unlike the others, Jerry is not interested in dragons, but he is interested in the dragon's heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, and blood!
These are all top-quality potions and alchemical ingredients!
As soon as the group entered Hagrid's hut, they saw a dragon egg on the table, which was shaking with a screeching sound.
Soon, the eggshell cracked open, and a little fire dragon waddled out of the egg.
The little dragon's appearance is truly... impressive, like a crumpled black umbrella.
Its spiky wings contrasted sharply with its slender, jet-black body, making it appear unusually large. It had a long, white nose, horns on its head, and protruding, orange-red eyes.
"Ugh, so ugly!" Jerry thought to himself as he looked at the baby dragon.
“It’s really beautiful, isn’t it? Norber, how about we call it Norber from now on?” Hagrid looked at the baby dragon excitedly and then said to the crowd.

Jerry looked at the baby dragon that was biting Hagrid's finger and said thoughtfully, "Hagrid, you'd better take good care of this baby dragon, otherwise if someone steals it, it might be bled dry first, then gutted and gutted!"
Upon hearing Jerry's words, Hagrid's smile suddenly froze.
Everyone: "..."
Jerry noticed the expressions on the faces of the others in the room and explained, "I'm serious, dragon organs aren't just ingredients for potions; they're also commonly used in alchemy!"
"Okay, thanks for the reminder, Jerry!"
“Hagrid,” Hermione asked, “how big can a Norwegian Spinosaurus grow?”
Hagrid was about to answer when his expression suddenly changed, and he leaped up and rushed towards the window.
"What happened?"
"Someone was peeking through the curtains just now."
Harry immediately rushed to the door, peered outside, and then turned to the crowd, saying, "It's Malfoy!"
For the next few weeks, Harry and his friends lived in fear, feeling uneasy in the face of Malfoy's wicked grin.
After dinner, Jerry had just returned to the Slytherin common room when he ran into Malfoy.
"Is there something you need?" Jerry asked, looking at Malfoy.
"Jerry, Harry and the gamekeeper are keeping a dragon. They're definitely going to be expelled from Hogwarts!"
“I know! You saw it that day, didn’t you? I was there too,” Jerry said nonchalantly. “Don’t worry, I know what you mean. Just do it!”
After saying that, he patted Malfoy on the shoulder, turned around, and went back to his dormitory.
Malfoy wasn't trying to report Harry for keeping a dragon; after all, he didn't want Harry Potter to be expelled. But having finally caught Harry red-handed, Malfoy wasn't about to let it go so easily!
Chapter 64 Sending Norber Away
After receiving Jerry's affirmative answer, Malfoy became even more unscrupulous and began to frequently appear around Harry.
"Harry Potter, I saw a dark figure at the edge of the Forbidden Forest last time. Do you know what kind of magical creature it was?"
"Harry Potter, did you know that someone in Hogwarts history was expelled for keeping dangerous magical creatures?"
"Oh~ Potter, I really can't imagine what it would be like for you to be homeless after you got fired. My house is in need of a servant, why don't you come to my house! My house is quite big!"
……
A week later, Harry, finally unable to bear Malfoy's harassment any longer, took the initiative to find Hagrid.
"Hagrid, just let Norber go to the Forbidden Forest!"
“No!” Hagrid said. “Harry, Norbert is too young. He’ll be bullied by the other animals in the Forbidden Forest.”
Jerry ignored the others' arguments and instead squatted down to examine Norbert, who was now three times the size of his body a week earlier. He thought to himself, "A dragon heart! And it's the heart of a Norwegian Ridgeback. It would make a great wand core!"
"Dragon liver is also good; it can be used to make aphrodisiac."
"Dragon blood is a good thing; it can be used to make oven cleaner, spot remover, wart treatment, and so on."
"Dragon skin..."
"Dragon meat..."
……
Noticing Jerry's ill-intentioned gaze, the fire dragon Norber seemed to want to secretly teach Jerry a lesson with his dragon breath.
However, Jerry couldn't possibly be fooled by its little scheme.
Just as Norber's fiery breath was about to erupt, Jerry swiftly grabbed Norber's head and forced its mouth shut.
A muffled groan escaped Norber's lips, and tears instantly streamed down his face.
Norber struggled violently, finally managing to break free from Jerry's embrace, and then ran to Hagrid's feet for shelter.
"What's wrong?" Hagrid, who was arguing with Harry and the others, also noticed Norbert running back to his feet.
“It’s nothing, just a joke with Norber, right, Norber?” Jerry said, waving at Norber, which scared him so much that he hid behind Hagrid.
"That brat is so rude! He actually dared to breathe dragon's breath on me!" Jerry thought to himself.
It's definitely not injured; no dragon can be injured by its own breath. But the feeling of the breath exploding in its mouth must be unpleasant!
“Listen, Hagrid,” Harry said firmly, “Nober must be sent away. Ron’s brother Charlie is studying dragons in Romania. I think we can send Nober to him to take care of him.”
"Great!" Ron exclaimed excitedly. "What do you think, Hagrid?"
Hagrid was silent for a moment, then nodded.
“Alright, I’ll think about it,” he said finally. “Let’s send an owl to ask Charlie for his opinion first.”
Harry and the others breathed a sigh of relief when Hagrid finally relented.
A week later, Harry finally received a letter from Charlie.
The letter stated that the Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon would be brought to the highest astronomical tower at midnight next Saturday, where the two sides would meet and the Norwegian Ridgeback Dragon would be taken away under cover of darkness.
Harry and the others breathed a sigh of relief upon receiving Charlie's reply. Harry, in particular, had been subjected to Malfoy's constant mockery for the past few weeks, to the point that he was afraid to even dream at night.
Because Malfoy's image always appears in his dreams.
Saturday night, the sky was overcast.
When the group arrived at Hagrid's hut under the cover of night, Norbert had already been packed into a large crate by Hagrid, and everything was ready.
Hagrid provided Norber with plenty of mice and some brandy to ensure he had enough food for the journey. He also put Norber's teddy bear in the crate in case he felt lonely.
