She pointed to a hot dog stand on the side of the street and said, "Come on, you haven't eaten anything since you were discharged from the hospital, I'll treat you to a hot dog."

He Ao was a little unsteady on his feet, so she grabbed his hand and they wobbled off to the queue.

It took He Ao a while to recover.

Ander's health is still not good; he gets carsick even now.

He shook his head, calmed himself down, took a few deep breaths, and focused his mind.

Just as he took his fifth deep breath, he felt something strange in his body.

A subtle energy re-emerged in his chest cavity.

Selena left Heo, who still looked a little dizzy, at the entrance of the hot dog shop and went to queue up to buy a hot dog.

He's attention was entirely focused on the energy that had suddenly been generated in his chest.

The energy was extremely weak, much less than what He Ao had inhaled in the main world, but it was continuously replenished as He Ao breathed.

The extraordinary energy in the instance world seems to be much more stable and concentrated than in the main world. In the main world, apart from the tidal-like fluctuation at dawn, He Ao cannot gather any energy in his chest cavity by taking such a deep breath.

While adjusting his breathing, He Ao guided the energy in his chest cavity, following the route he had tried before.

However, he soon encountered obstacles. If the pathways in He'ao's body were a wide and unobstructed road to heaven, then the pathways in 'Ander's' body were a winding and narrow path. The energy that was drawn out dissipated before it even left his chest cavity.

The energy utilization efficiency is far lower than that of Heo's original body.

So, is it the effect of the Vermilion Fruit?

He Ao estimated that his original physical pathways were similar to Ander's, or even worse, because when he took the Vermilion Fruit, he could clearly feel that the Vermilion Fruit cleared up some blockages in his body. Perhaps this was some kind of 'aptitude'?

And the purpose of the Vermilion Fruit is to enhance one's aptitude?

Suppressing his suspicions, He Ao began to increase the frequency of his breathing.

Although 'Ander's' physical aptitude was far inferior to He Ao's original body, which had consumed the Vermilion Fruit, the energy concentration in the dungeon world was much higher than that in the main world. As He Ao's breathing quickened, more and more energy was generated in his chest cavity, and He Ao continuously guided this energy to travel through those 'narrow paths'.

As the saying goes, great strength makes bricks fly. As He Ao continued to absorb more energy, this energy finally left his chest cavity. Although the path outside the chest cavity was even narrower, the degree of energy dissipation was reduced.

And so, He Ao moved these energies through his heart, struggling all the way to the tip of his left middle finger.

Then he froze, because when he tried to get the energy back, he found that the return path was completely blocked.

He tried to use energy to break through the blockages, but it took him quite a while to grind away even a barely perceptible amount of blockage.

At this moment, he was gradually starting to be unable to support the extremely high frequency of breathing. High-frequency breathing was extremely distracting, consumed a lot of energy, and put a lot of pressure on the lungs. Even with Ender 13's physique, he could not hold on for long.

Just as He Ao was about to give up, he suddenly noticed the energy accumulating at his fingertips. If he stopped now, the energy would slowly dissipate. Judging from his body's current absorption efficiency, most of this energy would be lost.

It seems a bit of a waste for it to dissipate so directly.

Or could we guide this energy away from its natural pathways? For example, could we channel it outside the body as a weapon?

He thought for a moment and tried to guide this energy from his middle finger out of his body.

Directing energy outside the body is more efficient than guiding energy along a 'pathway'.

Much easier, in no time, an invisible, sesame-seed-sized 'energy ball' appeared on He Ao's middle finger.

This energy ball had no physical form, but He Ao could clearly sense its presence. He Ao carefully controlled the energy ball and made it leave his body.

After leaving He Ao's body, the energy began to fluctuate, lasting only a second or two before suddenly exploding.

He Ao felt a gentle breeze brush past his fingertips, along with a slight tingling sensation.

This 'small energy bomb' deals very little damage and can't even break through his defenses.

He sighed and slowly resumed his normal breathing rhythm. He had originally thought that he had gained a new means of ranged attack.

He thought for a moment and then opened his personal attributes panel.

[He Ao (Ander)]

[Privilege Level: Regular Player]

[Physical Attributes: 15 (13) (10 for ordinary people in the instance world, 5 for ordinary people in the main world)]

[Skill: Talent Sequence 272: Super Memory (Soul Binding) (Rank F)]

Mechanical modification: None

[Martial Arts: Qi Induction (Rank F) (Unusable)]

[Character Abilities: Basic Firearms Proficiency, Qi Induction (No Level)]

Everything else remains unchanged, except for a new ability called 'Qi Induction'.

Without any level, He Ao's energy guidance just now had almost no effect on Ander's physique; it could only be described as a beginner level.

However, since this "qi-drawing into the body" ability is classified as a character ability, it should mean that this ability cannot be brought back to the main world. However, He Ao can test whether some of the operating circuits in that little book are correct in the dungeon world.

After all, while you can't take the cultivation achievements from the dungeon world with you, you can take the 'experience' with you.

Once He Ao's breathing had calmed down, he leaned against the wall and looked across the street.

The colorful neon lights illuminated almost half the street; that was the entrance to the 'Crown Casino'. He Ao watched as people came and went in an endless stream in front of the casino.

With a soft sigh, I thought, "This world is truly chaotic."

Just then, a thought struck him, and his gaze settled on a woman in a red bodycon dress in the crowd.

She had long, golden-brown hair and long, straight legs. A burgundy bodycon dress outlined her graceful back, and the short skirt barely covered her two round, full breasts. With her graceful steps, glimpses of the scenery beneath the skirt were revealed.

The woman seemed to notice that someone was watching her, so she stopped and turned around.

"You're already at work?" Selena's laughter came from the side. She was holding two large hot dogs and handed one to He Ao. "This place is really delicious, but the wait is always long."

"No, we're just checking to see if there are any suspicious people."

He took the hot dog, and when he looked back at the casino entrance, the woman in the red dress was nowhere to be seen.

He Ao wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but he felt there was something different about the woman. So he looked at Selena and asked, "Does Mu Xiu have the ability to disguise himself or change his appearance? Like, to impersonate a woman?"

"No?" Selena thought for a moment. She stood there, seemingly reviewing some documents.

"Mu Xiu's disguise skills aren't very sophisticated. He's used to simply peel off a person's skin to disguise their biological information, but this can only fool detection equipment and some loosely monitored cameras. He only disguises himself when entering the city, and based on current intelligence,"

Selena paused. "He particularly hates women. In his previous crimes, he killed all the casino dancers or sex workers in the red-light district."

Do you hate women?

He Ao fell into thought.

"Robbery."

Just then, a childish voice came from behind He Ao.

He Ao turned around and saw only a black pistol and a little boy holding the pistol shakily.

The boy looked at the hot dog in He Ao's hand and swallowed hard.

He Ao's gaze shifted to the child's pistol, which reflected a faint gleam of plastic in the dim light.

What the child is holding is probably just a toy gun.

Selena turned around at that moment, instinctively wanting to pull Heo behind her. The gun wouldn't hurt her, but it would hurt Heo.

But He Ao slowly squatted down, bringing his head to the same height as the little boy's. The little boy nervously pointed the 'gun' in his hand at He Ao's forehead.

He Ao gave a gentle smile, took the hot dog in his hand, and handed it to the boy. "Can I trade this hot dog for the gun you have? This is a transaction, not robbery. It's legal."

The little boy glanced at the hot dog in He Ao's hand, swallowed hard, his throat bobbing slightly, and nodded, "Okay."

As he spoke, he snatched the hot dog from He Ao's hand and ran into the dark street where the streetlights were broken.

But a few seconds later, he ran back and placed the 'gun' in his hand a meter or two in front of He Ao.

Then it ran off again in a flash.

This is a child who keeps his promises.

Watching him run away, He Ao stepped forward and picked up the 'gun'.

The gun was very light, and it was indeed a toy gun. He Ao opened the magazine, and there was only one plastic bullet inside, which was covered with some mud and looked like it had been used many times.

He put the gun away, casually slipped it into his pocket, and stood up, only to meet Selena's slightly smiling gaze.

"I'm sorry," He Ao said somewhat awkwardly. After all, the hot dog was bought for him by Selena. Taking someone else's things to do a good deed, especially in front of them, was indeed a bit unfair.

So he naturally joined the line for hot dogs, smiling, "This hot dog is making my mouth water. I'll queue up for another one. Is there anything else you'd like to eat? I'll treat you to something too."

He Ao hadn't eaten and had just done strenuous exercise, so he was indeed a bit hungry. Buying another hot dog would show that he wasn't complaining about the one Selena bought, but simply that he had given it away unexpectedly.

Selena held the hot dog, thought for a moment, tilted her head and smiled, "A Coke, please."

He Ao waited in line for another half hour before he could buy a hot dog.

Selena just bought him a super-duper giant deluxe hot dog for 15 federal dollars, which is basically the most expensive hot dog in the store.

The hot dog cost 15 Federal Dollars. He Ao's daily wage was only a little over 100 Federal Dollars, but he still bought it despite the pain in his heart. Compared to the hot dog, the cola was much cheaper, costing only Federal Dollars.

He bought a hot dog and two Cokes, walked back to Selena's side, and handed her the Cokes.

My blonde, mature female boss must be either incredibly wealthy or extremely rich.

"Won't we make a mistake by doing this?"

He Ao looked at the entrance of the 'Crown Casino' across the street with some curiosity. The two of them didn't look like they were out for work, but rather like they were out for a vacation.

"It's okay, I'm watching."

Selena took a bite of her hot dog and gave a vague reply.
