“It’s disgusting—” Jill raised her hand, revealing all the swords, spears, and halberds within the ripples. “Die, you scum.”
"Clang!" But Jill's sword was blocked by someone else just as it flew out.
Selesia looked at Gil, "Gil...you..."
"Get out of the way! Serega, that guy is very likely the culprit in this morning's case!" Jill shouted immediately.
"What?" Serega was taken aback.
"How could that be? How could that be? I'm just an ordinary high school girl~" the girl waved her hand and laughed.
"..." Jill's eyes flickered, and a fierce look appeared in them.
"Prepare to die, you bastard!" Jill summoned an enormous weapon from the Gate of Babylon this time!
“That is…” Serega looked shocked.
Meteora, who dared to come, panicked, "Gil, we can't use that weapon..."
Upon hearing this, Gil clicked his tongue in displeasure and then sheathed his Mountain-Slaying Sword.
Using things that are too illogical in the real world will cause the world to collapse. Once it collapses, the world will be injured, and the injured world will also heal itself.
However, Altair amplified the collapse.
They summoned one by one the created beings.
Her goal is to destroy the world.
The world can still withstand the unrestrained influx of too many creations, as long as these summoned creatures don't cause trouble.
Therefore, Gilles cannot do that. He could unleash a massive number of Noble Phantasms from the Gate of Babylon, but that would be...
“If it weren’t for not wanting that mop-head to succeed…” Jill drew her sharp longsword, “you should have died long ago, you bastard!”
"Seleja, get out of the way!" Gil shouted, then rushed out, his target Tsukijoin Shinkan!
“Well, next that sword will pierce yourself…” Chikujoin Shinkan said with a smile as he watched Gil’s action.
"Hmph—" Gil's face revealed a contemptuous and disdainful smile. As his right foot landed, he stepped forward and appeared directly in front of Tsukihime Shinkan.
Immediately, flames erupted from Jill's hand. The flames then adhered directly to the longsword.
He swung the sword fiercely at Chikujoin Shinkan!
That's the power from the Red Clan! The power from HOMRA!
However, Chikujoin Shinkan seemed to have sensed something and quickly took a step back, dodging Gil's attack.
Jill's face was very gloomy.
"Please stop!" Mami shouted.
“Oh dear, that’s unlikely.” Gil’s cold gaze fell on Mamika Kiraki. “How naive.”
"...And who are you?" The knight girl finally asked the question that concerned her most.
"Who am I? Does it matter to you?" Gil looked at the knight girl, her red eyes filled with mockery. "Miss Knight, what is this so-called justice in your heart?"
"You rascal, don't act like you know everything!" The knight girl's face showed anger. "You rascal..."
"Huh? Don't I understand anything?" Jill gave a mocking look. "Isn't she just a girl playing the role of a savior? You were with that mop-head guy, wasn't it because you wanted to save your own world? Do you really think the people here are omnipotent?"
"What do you mean by that?" The knight girl frowned.
Behind Gil, Chikujoin Masami had already taken advantage of the distraction to slip away.
“Your thinking is fatally flawed,” Jill said, extending her hand. “What do you think? Do you really believe the gods of this world are omnipotent?”
“Of course, doesn’t the god of this world have the power to create our world?! So, if this miracle encounters the god, then it must be…” the knight girl said.
“But look at this world,” Jill said, extending her hand. “Yes, it is the people of this world who created our world. But do you think the people of this world are any different from us? We all live under the sky, and we are all bound by rules—and as the king, I see it all more clearly than you do!”
"King? What a joke! How could you, a king high above, possibly see the wishes of ordinary people!"
P.S.: Updates will be a bit late recently due to the class basketball tournament. Well, that's about it. I'll probably post three updates today, yeah, I guess.
Chapter Twenty-Seven: The Blazing Sky Covers Seven Rings (Law Aias)
The knight girl's blue eyes stared at Gilles. "Tell me, what is this so-called king!"
“The king is never aloof and unapproachable,” Gil scoffed. “The king and his subjects are of one mind. If any subject is unhappy, it is only because he has not tried hard enough, not the king’s fault!”
“Nonsense! If your people cannot be happy living in your country, what is it if not your fault?” The knight girl pointed her lance at Gil and asked.
"Does a king have an obligation to help everyone?! I am a king, not a saint! I am happy when I see my subjects happy, and I am angry when I am provoked!" Gil raised his longsword. "What do you think a king exists for?! He is not there to make everyone happy, but to ensure that all his subjects can live in peace!"
"Your so-called noble knight is utterly laughable!" Gil sneered. "You bear the responsibility of saving the world, and I admire that for that, but I absolutely cannot agree with your views!"
"What do you know! My world is far too tragic, with mountains of corpses and rivers of blood, and I don't know when it will end... Even if this is a world created as a joke by someone... the suffering of the people is real... it should be real! The shortcut to redeeming my world is right in front of us, and it would be utterly foolish not to seize this opportunity! If you intend to stop us, I cannot forgive you!" The knight girl picked up her steel gun and pointed it at Gil.
"Hmph..." Jill coldly brandished her longsword. "Then come and try it with me, you fool!"
"You...don't..."
Selesia and Meteora, who had arrived at some unknown time, both looked at the knight girl with cautious expressions.
“You’ve confused your wishes with reality…” Jill looked at the girl, “Then your wishes will ultimately become a curse!”
"Shut up... Stop twisting the truth!"
"Turning black into white? Sorry, as king, the thing I despise most is lying. Your wish will only bring disaster to this world!" Jill said with a sneer.
"Shut up!" The knight girl swung her steel spear, its sharp aura sweeping directly at Gil!
"Bang!" Jill blocked the chilling aura with one hand using her longsword. "Too bad... you can't defeat me with your spear!"
"Gaz von Belrichje! Heed the call of my gauntlet, Donashlag Des Jaegers, appear here!" A purple ball of lightning began to condense on the girl's left arm.
"Hmph—" Jill looked at the purple ball of electricity, "Then I'll bring out my treasure to fight you!"
"Hahhhhh!" The purple ball of electricity unleashed an unparalleled impact, blasting towards Jill.
"Law Aias!" As Jill's voice rang out, a red, petal-like shield appeared before her!
The Law Aias, or the Seven-Layered Ring, originated in Greek mythology during the Trojan War. It was a bronze shield covered in seven layers of leather used by Ajax to deflect Hector's javelins (he passed through six layers, leaving one unbroken). Later, its meaning expanded to encompass "conceptual weaponry" boasting absolute defense against projectiles, thus elevating its status.
This treasure has petals whose defensive power is comparable to that of an ancient city wall.
With such defensive power, Gil completely and easily blocked the knight girl's lightning attack!
"So weak, it can't even break through two layers of the shield?" Only one petal fell, but the shield had a total of seven petals.
Jill revealed a mocking expression, "Such a weak attack, so you're nothing special, are you?"
"Come on!" The knight girl charged at Gil, who raised an eyebrow and drew his longsword—
Gram, according to legend, is the sword that Siegfried's father, Sigmund, pulled out from a tree trunk by Odin, who had transformed into an unnamed old man. Siegfried inherited the fragments of the sword from his father and reforged Gram, which became a magical sword capable of killing even dragons.
Since this is a Noble Phantasm that can be used without releasing one's true name, Gilgamesh naturally chose this weapon.
"Come on, knight, let the king see your resolve!" Gil roared, swinging his sword. The sword and spear clashed, producing a buzzing sound!
"Ahhhh!"
"Clang!"
The girl and Jill exchanged several blows, but Jill steadily suppressed her opponent.
Jill's chosen skill, swordsmanship proficiency, proved its worth here; her basic swordsmanship displayed a level of skill comparable to the Savior's spear technique!
Jill and the girl's guns and swords clashed, and both saw the unwavering will in each other's eyes.
"Hmph, not bad." After their first exchange, Jill and the girl distanced themselves from each other.
“Just this once, and the King has remembered your name, Alice Tria,” Gil replied with a low laugh.
"You too, an unsung king."
"I am Gilgamesh, the oldest hero-king in history!" Gil introduced himself.
"The oldest hero king in history...?" Alice Tria looked at Gil with a cautious expression.
"Hmph, what do you think a king did in that era? What do you think a king would do if not for the people and for peace?" Gil gripped Gram. "Come on, Alice, let's continue our never-ending battle!"
"Just what I wanted!" Alice Tria raised her spear with a fierce fighting spirit.
"Bang!" At that moment, a gunshot suddenly rang out.
"Clang!" The chain stopped the bullet, and Jill's expression turned very displeased. "I didn't expect it to be you again, Blitz Toka."
"Wow, the King of Heroes Gilgamesh is still a child. That's quite surprising."
The same guy who ambushed Jill last time has reappeared, still carrying that heavy-looking pistol.
P.S.: I have finished revising the ability value division in Chapter 1 and the part in Chapter 2 about Jill not being able to lock up an ordinary person. I apologize for not explaining this part clearly!
PS2: If Jill gets the full stars first, she won't be able to fight against Mop Spirit. After all, the full stars are just a manifestation of spirit. She can't fight against Mop Spirit with just the full stars and the incomplete King's Chest.
P.S.: I'll try my best to keep updating over the weekend...
Chapter Twenty-Eight: I Don't Mind
“Yes, it’s me again. It’s quite rare for a king to remember me.” Blitz’s deep voice rang out, and he raised his pistol again, aiming it at Jill.
"Oh dear, a group fight? Too bad, the thing I'm least afraid of is a group fight!" Jill laughed nonchalantly, and more golden ripples appeared around her.
“You’re really bold to disturb the king’s enjoyment…” Gil was still smiling, but the smile had vanished from his eyes.
Jill's cold gaze made Blitz frown.
“Gil, he’s in our hands!” Serega said.
“Then please, Selesia!” Gil nodded, then looked at Alice again. “Come on, let’s continue, Alice!”
"I couldn't ask for more, King of Heroes!" Alicetraia rushed toward Gil.
But at that moment, a pink heart-shaped bubble appeared between the two of them.
Jill and Alice Tria retreated simultaneously, only to see Mamika Kiraki holding the magic wand. "Stop fighting! Why can't we talk this out?"
“The king only speaks with his subjects and those of equal status!” Jill replied. “Young lady, you are too naive.”
“Momi, move aside, this guy…” Alice Tria looked at Jill warily, “is very dangerous!”
