"System, open your personal panel."

[Host: Aaron Gaius]

[Magic Energy: Body: 6467, Elementary Archmage; Thought Body: 6467, Elementary Archmage; Total **]

**(A beginner-level Archmage, a rare existence in the magical world)**

[Talent: Once-in-a-lifetime (the magic energy increases by 4 points every day, the body increases by 2 points, and the thoughts body increases by 2 points)]

[Items: Moon Drops (2/3 can remove any negative spells), Resurrection Potion (can resurrect any creature that died within one hour)]

[Magic Point: 50]

"Fifty magic points? That's a bit too few!" Aaron pondered. "System, open the quest panel!"

"Okay, host."

Be a responsible and dedicated class leader (from now until the end of this semester);

The reward for completing the task is 1200 magic points. There is no penalty for failure. Do you accept?

Holy crap!

Aaron couldn't help but swear, and was so frustrated he almost spat out a mouthful of blood.

"It was intentional, System, you absolutely did it on purpose."

"Host, please don't wrong the system. This mission is purely to improve your abilities."

"Heh! You think I'd believe that?"

"With the energy you'd use to be a prefect, wouldn't it be better to improve your proficiency in forbidden magic circles? Your enchanting skills might even improve by a tier."

The system was silent for a moment, then said, "The host can choose not to accept."

Aaron inexplicably felt as if he had been stabbed in the heart.

He wanted to refuse, but the reward for completing the task was 1,200 magic points!

If the reward was less than 300, he would refuse without hesitation; if it was less than 500, he might hesitate; but this 1200... well, the system was giving him too much, and he couldn't refuse.

Aaron took a deep breath. "I accept!"

"Just consider it working to earn money, it's nothing to be ashamed of!"

"The host has made a wise decision," the system said with satisfaction.

"Speaking of which, why is there still only this one task? And why does it take so long to complete?"

Isn't there a method that's short-term, low-risk, and high-return?

system:......

Aaron realized he was being a bit unreasonable, so he chuckled and changed his tune, saying, "Lower returns are fine, as long as the time is short and the risk is low, I don't mind."

"The system issues tasks based on the transactions that the host comes into contact with."

Easy tasks don't deserve to appear on the task panel. If the host wants to obtain as many tasks as possible, they can focus on the big bosses, such as... Voldemort.

"Farewell," Aaron said decisively.

He wanted a stealthy, low-success-rate, but absolutely thrilling, and hate-inducing extreme sport.

Even though he is now immortal, he can only keep his distance from those cunning old foxes who he can't beat.

......

The next morning, Aaron took Abe to the auditorium for breakfast early in the morning.

Just as the man and the dragon were enjoying their meal, a shadow appeared on his dining table.

Snape stood opposite Aaron with his arms crossed and a blank expression. "You don't want to be a prefect, do you?"

Aaron blinked blankly, then noticed Draco raising an eyebrow at him as he walked out, and suddenly he understood.

He did ask Draco to suggest to Snape yesterday noon not to make him a prefect, but changed his mind that evening because of 1,200 magic points.

It was his oversight that I didn't have time to tell Draco, but it's only the first day of school! Aren't you being a little too efficient?

"Uh... Professor, I know you might not like what I'm saying, but please let me explain."

“No need for explanation,” Snape said with a dark face. “You were personally chosen by Dumbledore, and I will not agree to it.”

Aaron: ......

Disagree? Good!

If you agree, I'll be the one who's embarrassed.

Seeing that Aaron seemed a little lost in thought, Snape thought he had been too harsh, so he said in a gentler tone, "No one at Hogwarts knows you better than me, and I know that the position of prefect is a burden for you."

But you are the most suitable person for this position, especially since the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor this year was sent by the Ministry of Magic.

"Fine! Fine!" Aaron feigned impatience. "No need to persuade me like this. I'll take the prefecture."

Chapter 453 Quick-fix truancy candy, a boring Defense Against the Dark Arts class

As time passed, more and more students came to the auditorium to eat.

Many people are talking about Harry Potter because the Daily Prophet portrays him as a fraud, a conman who loudly proclaims the return of the Dark Lord.

Harry and his two companions entered the Great Hall, and the other students deliberately kept their distance from him, as if getting close to Harry Potter would bring bad luck.

"Good morning, Aaron," Harry greeted listlessly.

"It's obvious you're not in a good position," Aaron said, glancing at the whispering students around him. "Everyone's avoiding you like the plague."

“We’re not the only ones!” Ron said casually. “Not everyone disbelieves Harry.”

“Yes, but only you believe him.” Aaron pointed to a student who was holding a newspaper. “Most people would choose the Daily Prophet, which is backed by the Ministry of Magic, over Harry Potter’s one-sided account.”

“You saw Voldemort rise from the dead,” Harry said hesitantly, “if you’d be willing to testify…”

“If I were to testify, there would be one more person being pointed at,” Aaron said calmly. “Rumors stop with the wise, but the wise are always in the minority.”

The situation won't change just because there's one more witness. All I can do is make sure I don't end up like you are now.

“But doesn’t the Ministry of Magic respect your family a lot?” Harry said defiantly.

“That’s not the same thing at all,” Aaron said casually. “Fudge used to have great respect for Dumbledore, but what is he doing now? Using public opinion to smear Dumbledore.”

He was willing to offend a highly respected archmage for power, and another influential wizarding family would be nothing to him... though he certainly couldn't afford the consequences.

Harry seemed thoughtful as he continued, "Then Fleur, Cedric, and Viktor also saw the Dark Lord and those Death Eaters, they..."

"Come on!" Aaron chuckled. "Their combined influence can't compare to yours, and nobody believes anything they say anyway."

“How long will this continue?” Hermione said angrily. “Dumbledore wanted us to be united, but it’s only been two months since Mysterio was resurrected, and we’ve already started fighting among ourselves.”

“It might not end until Voldemort appears in the wizarding world,” Aaron shrugged. “Facts speak louder than words. When the truth comes out, everyone will realize you were right, apologize guiltily, and beg for your forgiveness.”

Hearing this, the three of them recovered somewhat, but their expressions were still rather complicated.

When that time comes, Harry won't be looked at differently anymore, but the situation will be even more serious.

At that moment, Professor McGonagall came over and handed out the fifth-grade timetables one by one.

"History of Magic, Potions, Divination, Defense Against the Dark Arts..." Ron muttered with a gloomy face, "All the classes we dislike are happening today."

“To correct you, that doesn’t include me,” Aaron said. “Apart from Defense Against the Dark Arts, I’m quite interested in the other three classes, especially Potions, which you all dislike the most.”

“I’m not as exaggerated as him, but I’m not far off,” Hermione said smugly.

Harry and Ron exchanged a wry smile; neither of them, being academic underachievers, had such a good mindset.

"I really hope George and Fred can get those quick-fix truancy candies out of here."

"What kind of candy?"

“Quick-acting skip-class candy,” Fred’s voice rang out from the side.

"If you take it, it will cause fever, colds, nosebleeds, prickly heat, and sudden coma," George added. "But you'll recover once you take the antidote, and the teacher will never find a flaw in it."

"You guys actually developed this thing?" Aaron asked with interest.

"Uh... it's still in the research stage," George said apologetically, "but we've made some progress, and we should be able to invent it in a while."

"Aaron, you're not interested in skipping class, are you?" Hermione asked, frowning slightly.

"Skipping classes?" Aaron curled his lip in disdain. "Hogwarts classes aren't worth it for me, but skipping classes at my house is definitely necessary. Those tutoring classes can crush you to death."

And I have to say, Hermione, your vision is too narrow. Are these inventions only good for skipping class?

"At work, you can avoid heavy workloads; during your rest time, you can decline invitations from friends; and even when you encounter trouble, you can scare people."

Hermione's lips twitched slightly, and she was speechless for a moment.

“That’s absolutely right,” George and Fred said in unison.

“We actually used such a great invention to skip class,” George said, somewhat agitated. “It’s a shameful waste.”

“Not just students, but adult wizards will also be in high demand,” Fred said. “These inventions are sure to sell like hotcakes, there’s no doubt about that.”

“I’ll pre-order a batch,” Aaron said immediately. “Give me twenty of each kind.”

"Ah this..."

The twin brothers hesitated.

Is there a problem?

I'm just making a reservation, I don't expect you to give it to me right now.

"No, you misunderstood," Fred said somewhat awkwardly. "We wanted to give you a free meal, since we secured a large investment thanks to you."

Without this seed money, our business would probably have been delayed for several years.

However, offering twenty of these items for free would be a huge expense, and for us, whose business is still in its early stages, it would be quite a blow.

"How about a 20% discount?" George said in a low voice. "Or let's go for cost price!"

"No need, I'm not short of money," Aaron said generously. "Just let me know when the invention is finished."

"All right!"

“I can’t control what you invent,” Hermione said, taking a deep breath before looking coldly at George and Fred. “But you can’t post ads on the Gryffindor bulletin board to recruit test subjects.”
