This is terrible. If Aaron finds out that Abe is injured, they're definitely in big trouble.

However, what happened next put their hearts at ease.

As Abe gnawed on the eggshell, it felt an intense heat coming from behind it. It instinctively lowered its head, and the dragon flames grazed right past its head, a close call.

A ball of fire flew overhead, and Abe, somewhat bewildered, touched the hat on his head with his right paw, discovering a scorch mark on it, which immediately enraged him.

This outfit was specially prepared for it by its owner's mother. It's one of the few pieces with a seamless stretching spell, and it's also its favorite piece.

Its entire possessions, almost all its snacks, are in this garment; what would happen if it were burned?

Abe crunched the eggshell in his mouth, turned around angrily, looked at Norber whose mouth was emitting black smoke, and let out a meow that didn't belong to a cat.

"Roar!"

A faint sense of oppressive power spread rapidly across the table, and Norbert involuntarily took a half-step back.

But it quickly calmed down and took a step forward, not to be outdone.

So what if it's impressive? It's a Norwegian Spinosaurus, a carnivorous fire-breathing dragon, completely different from those herbivores.

So what if it's a little prettier? With its silly and cute appearance, it's not intimidating at all. I don't believe it can't beat you.

"Holy crap! It's confirmed, this is definitely not a cat," Ron exclaimed in surprise.

"Let's not talk about this now, let's separate them quickly, or something bad will happen." Hagrid said, picking up his umbrella and giving Abe a knockout.

At the same time, a spell from Hermione flew toward Norbert.

Norber swayed for a second before staggering to his feet; the damage from the spell was negligible.

The dragon skin has great resistance to the Stunning Curse, even though it is newly born and at its most vulnerable.

But Hermione was only a first-year student, essentially a cub among wizards, and the spells she cast posed less of a threat to it than Hagrid's hand.

While Norber's situation was relatively normal, Abe's was quite bizarre. When the red spell struck it, a layer of sacred white scales appeared beneath its clothes, neutralizing the spell.

"How could this be?" Hagrid muttered to himself in bewilderment. "This doesn't make sense!"

He admitted that he had held back just now; he was too busy protecting the baby magical creatures to use his full strength.

Even so, Abe should have shaken it a couple of times, instead of being completely unharmed as if nothing had happened.

This not only highlights Abe's unusual nature but also makes him seem somewhat incompetent as the forest ranger.

Hermione and Hagrid exchanged a glance, intending to continue casting the spell.

But before they could even raise their wands, the two dragons roared, startling them both.

Abe bared his teeth at Hagrid, gave him a brief warning, and then walked slowly toward Norber.

There's a sequence to revenge; let's beat up this little dragon cub that damaged its clothes first.

As for Hagrid, he can scratch him again when he has the chance! With its current size, it may not be able to beat him, but that won't stop it from remembering this seemingly honest giant.

In all its life, the only time its owner used a levitation spell on it was when it was still an egg; no one else has ever used any magic on it.

"Hagrid, what do we do?" Hermione gripped her wand tightly, swallowing hard.

"There's no way to stop it now. I guess Norber's dragon breath just now angered Abe."

"If we don't let them fight, they probably won't be able to swallow this anger," Hagrid said helplessly. "And I think Abe seems to hold a grudge against me."

“That won’t do.” Hermione said, and was about to step forward to take Abbott away, but was stopped by a thick arm.

"It's best not to get involved. It's just like a child's squabble, nothing more."

But if we don't let them settle things themselves now, who knows what kind of fight they'll have when these two magical creatures grow up.

"Knober is a dragon after all, and Abbe can't beat it."

“That’s not how it works,” Hagrid said with a smile. “Nober has only just hatched, so Abbe still has the advantage in size.”

Don't worry, I'll take action when the time is right.

“But…” Hermione hesitated for a moment, “No matter what, I can’t let Abbey get hurt, otherwise I won’t be able to explain it to him.”

Hagrid frowned. Protecting Abbe meant he might have to take action against Norbert later.

He intended to raise the young dragon as his own child, so naturally he couldn't bear to kill it.

But considering that he was partly responsible for how things had turned out this way, and seeing Hermione's almost pleading look, Hagrid nodded. "I promise you, okay?"

"Thank you!" Hermione breathed a sigh of relief.

At this moment, Abbe had already walked up to Norbert, coldly looking down at the Norwegian Spinosaurus with his superior physique.

Norber, naturally unwilling to be inferior to the dragon, flapped his wings, ready to take flight.

However, Abe acted first, and before Norber could even take off, the white claws descended with the force of thunder.

boom!

A strong wind blew in his face, making it hard for Norber to open his eyes. Before he could react, he stumbled back several steps.

Feeling the intense pain emanating from the dragon's face, Norber's eyes blazed with fury, and he was about to unleash a breath of dragon fire.

But Abe rushed up to it and delivered an uppercut that lifted its neck several degrees.

Being able to breathe fire is indeed impressive, but it's useless if you can't hit it.

Although Abe was quite envious of this skill, he wasn't jealous. As time went on, it would have more and more skills, and Dragon Breath was just one of them.

boom!

The blazing dragon flames shot straight to the ceiling, but Norber was still young and had a limited lung capacity. The dragon's breath dissipated into the air before it reached a length of less than half a meter.

"My God!" Ron exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Nober can't lose, can he? It's a dragon!"

"Is this the time to worry about this?" Harry said, speechless. "Hagrid, you'd better stop them!"

"You live in a wooden house. Abe is fine, but if Norbert continues like this, we'll have to prepare to put out a fire."

"Wait a little longer, my Norber will definitely not lose." Hagrid's eyes gleamed. Dragons were the most dangerous magical creatures, and he didn't think his fire dragon would be defeated by an unknown magical creature.

Harry's lips twitched slightly; Hagrid lost his composure when facing these magical creatures.

If he had the ability to stop them, he would have done it himself long ago.

The battle between the two young dragons continued, but the process was unexpectedly one-sided.

Norber was almost powerless to fight back and was punched several times by Abe.

Just as Norber was seeing stars, it flipped over and landed on Norber's back, pinning Norber's wings down with its hind legs, and then swung its front paws and slammed them hard on Norber's head.

Boom!

Norbert shook his head and slumped weakly onto the table.

After the battle, Abe strode confidently to Hermione, then turned and gave Hagrid a disdainful look, as if to say, "Your dragon isn't as powerful as mine."

Hagrid, seemingly oblivious, walked up to Norbert and gently stroked the whimpering young dragon.

"Ouch! Why did you pinch me?" Ron asked Harry, looking at him with a reproach.

“It’s alright, looks like it wasn’t a dream,” Harry chuckled. “But how is that possible? The Norwegian Spinosaurus actually lost.”

“It must have been Norber’s carelessness.” Hagrid was somewhat unconvinced and tried his best to find some comforting reasons for his dragon. “First of all, Norber is still small, less than an hour old. It’s natural that he would suffer some losses when he encountered Abe, who is more than twice the size of him.”

Secondly, this is close combat, and the space is too small, so Norber can't fully utilize his abilities.

More importantly, Norber's wings were completely useless; he was a dragon, and only by combining fire with flight could he fully unleash his combat power.

In conclusion, given the same age, Norber would definitely win.

“That seems to make sense.” Ron nodded. “Judging from Abe’s size and the amount of food it eats, it must be at least three years old!”

Just when the group thought the matter was over, Norbert suddenly unleashed a dragon's breath, sending the victorious Abe flying.

While the sneak attack was certainly shameful, it was beaten too badly.

A complete defeat, a utter and utter humiliation.

Dragons are all proud and arrogant. How could any dragon bear such a nightmare after being born?

"My God!" Hagrid stared wide-eyed at the white figure that flew off the table, completely bewildered.

Harry and Ron were also a little confused. Wasn't it over?

But what's going on here? Can't afford to play dirty, resorting to a sneak attack?

"Abbey!" Hermione cried out anxiously and rushed over to check on Abbey's condition.

Chapter 55 Switching to Battle Mode

When Hermione got closer, she found that Abel was unharmed, except that part of his clothes were scorched, which was completely different from what she had expected from being burned by dragonfire.

While she breathed a sigh of relief, she also saw a burning rage in Abe's eyes.

"Roar!"

Abe roared at Norber, this time with much greater force than before.

At the same time, its body underwent some changes. A layer of smooth white scales appeared on its skin, its claws extended a few inches, and its teeth became sharper and more razor-sharp, transforming it from a harmless and adorable creature into a ferocious beast with bared teeth and claws.

Gulu!

Everyone stared wide-eyed at the sight and swallowed hard.

"Hagrid, you know more about magical creatures, do you know what kind of species this shapeshifter is?" Harry asked nervously.

"I don't know either. There are indeed some magical creatures that can transform, but Arbe doesn't belong to any of them."

"And Abe is clearly a cub; very few at this stage possess such abilities," Hagrid said meaningfully, but his expression quickly turned serious. "This is bad! Its current state is clearly geared towards combat; it seems to be really going all out."

“What should we do then?” Ron asked.

"What can we do but stop them!" Hagrid said, picking up his umbrella and casting a spell on Abbe.

But Abbe, unleashing its full power, easily dodged the attack. Ignoring Hagrid, it simply rushed to the table at lightning speed and slammed its fist down on Norber's head.

Snapped!

At the critical moment, Norbert spread his wings and flew into the air.
